I finally read this one. I actually listened to this one and I thought it was going to be my favorite of the series, granted I haven’t read the last book yet. But out of the 3 I thought this one was going to be my favorite but I was wrong. ETERNAL still my favorite, there was just something about Declan and Teal that I liked more.
This one I liked Mila a LOT, I loved how unapologetic she was how she took the reins of her life and didn’t allowed anyone to shame her. She was focus on her goal and some rumors didn’t even make her blink. I like how she slowly because as obsessed with Alex as he was with her.
Alex on the other hand we don’t know his psycho side in the other books because he is there in the psychiatric hospital not speaking to anyone , not a single word. But when he decides to leave the hospital and go back to the Sigma house, his words are for Mila ONLY. I wasn’t expecting him to be the virgin and I loved that, it gave a little more appeal to him. The plot is cool and it actually made me more interested in the next book. I can’t wait to read about the “interrogator” specially since he is her professor! So taboo, age gap and secret society? Count me IN

4.75💫 It’s ALWAYS the silent ones & Alex Lancaster is an MMC that’s so mysterious it will have you entranced. I loved the plot & pacing in this book the most in the series! Alex & Mila as a couple are everything & their chemistry & connection was written so well

The way I have been DYING to get Alex’s story and find out all the secrets surrounding him. This book was fantastic!!! I loved every bit of it. There was constant suspense. Loved the chemistry between him & Mila. They were so similar but in so many different ways and they found healing and comfort within one another.

I loved the past characters cameos in this one. The banter was so damn good 🤣 The unhinged texts between Alex, Kole & Declan were everything hahah.

I’m absolutely hooked on this series, but this book might just be my new favorite! After a traumatic event at Sigma House, Alex has spent the last two years in the Montgomery Psychiatric Ward where he hasn't spoken a word since. That’s where Mila sees him while coming along to visits with his sister. Over time, a quiet connection forms between them, built on mutual curiosity and a deep, unspoken understanding of each other’s pain.

This book blew me away! I love this dark romance college series and I rarely like these types but Eva knocked it right out the park!
The book starts off with Alex Lancaster being in a psychiatric ward due to one of his fraternity trials going wrong. He has scars, physically and emotionally. He’s broken and unhinged and I was here for it. Alex has a lot of trauma and it got real dark. Mila is his sister’s best friend and the girl he can’t stop obsessing over, it’s mutual for Mila. They stalk each other and they both suffer the consequences of their prior actions. Mila also had a lot of trauma but Alex was there for her and she was there for him. There was a secret trope in there that I wasn’t expecting but it brought more to the story. I won’t say anything else because it’ll give stuff away for the continuing story into the next book. The spice was top tier and the knife play was chefs kiss! Mila had a thing for knife play and damn did she deliver! I can’t wait for the next book!

Each story in this series is so special and ingrained in my heart. I am all ready and prepped for the release of Revere! I cannot wait to read Patience and Jacob's story ❤️! Also still rooting for my baby boy Maddox to get his own book one day 🤭❤️.

This book was so poetically written, and I devoured each and every word like it was my last meal. I have been so curious about Alex Lancaster since we learned about him in Saint. What happened during his trial? Why doesn't he speak? And to finally get all the answers was so satisfying.

But no one knows what happened to Alex and since then he hasn't spoken a word to anyone. Alex is such a beautiful MMC. My heart ached for him so much while reading. I loved seeing him be unapologetically him. And what made that even better was his obsession with Mila.
Mila Bianchi was a heroine after my heart. Mila is Briar Academy's confident flirty girl. She's always at Sigma House, partying, being fun and wearing a façade... but no one knows that. No one knows the real Mila Bianchi and what she hides underneath her pretty mask. In Atone, we really get to know Mila. We get to learn about her past and what makes her, her, and why she is attending Briar Academy 👀. I loved getting to know Mila. I love how positive she is but it was so good to see her put the mask down. And let's be honest here, a woman who can wield knives is a woman after my own heart. But Alex may... scratch that, WILL fight me for her 😂!
This book was EPIC! I enjoyed every single word, sentence, page, text message!!! Ugh the textsss!!! I was laughing so hard!! God I live for the text messages in this book! They complete me 🥹. Alex Lancaster is a beautiful, vicious, sweet monster. Oh and just when you think you know what's happening??? Nope! Eva takes the WWE chair and whops you upside the head 😭😂😂😂!!! And I LOVE IT! I loved every single moment of the plot twistsss!!!
And I love his and Mila's love. Don't even get me started on the spice. I got the biggest shock of my life while reading and I'm sure you will too. This book was so well written and I just wanted more and more! The mutual obsession was *chefs kiss*! And Mila's nickname? The meaning? 😭😭😭. Oof and the bonus epilogue 😌.
I definitely don't want to spoil anything, my best advice is read Saint & Eternal and then dive into Atone! You will not regret reading this book. It is absolutely divine! My TOP read for 2025. Well until Professor Jacob steals my heart later this year 😏.

The plot line in this story was crazy. I enjoyed every single moment, and Eva’s writing style is so captivating that I’m NEVER bored when I read her books. Alex & Mila have so much depth and chemistry! He’s been in a psychiatric ward for two years after a freak accident happened during his trials for Sigma Sin, with the incident triggering selective mutism. He hardly even looks people in the eye, but when Mila walks into his room with his sister (also her roommate), he can’t help but stare into her familiar green eyes. EEK.
Mila grew up in a traveling circus with parents who treated her like she was only good for her appearances. The more skin she was showing, the better, but her friend Remmi was her source of happiness. When Mila is 16, she catches a man trying to assault her friend and she tries to save her, but the night ends in flames and her best friend being killed. She couldn’t save her. She’s out for revenge. Atone sends us back in the Sigma Sin world and this time we get Alex and Mila. Twisty, dark and suspenseful, nothing is as it seems. Alex is a walking red flag with so much trauma and Mila and him just work.
I loved Alex. I love an alpha male that uses actions as words. His obsession and fixation on Mila was hot as hell and Mila was just an incredibly written character. She felt so relatable and I loved the way she loved Alex.
Seriously, this series has been so addicting with all the tropes and micro tropes I adore in my dark romance. It’s smutty and filthy with a plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you haven’t started this series, what are you waiting for?

listen, i say it time and time again but i need everyone to really start and read eva simmons bc she is severely underrated. this was a very HIGHLY anticipated read for me since the first book in the series and it's kind of like a full circle moment for me bc the first book I read from her was Eternal and then I went into her backlist. by far one of my favorite books from eva's but i swear they each keep getting better and better. this COMPLETELY exceeded my expectations.
this follows Mila and Alex. Mila is Patience, alex's sisters college roommate. Uh oh did Alex usurp Kole for my favorite Sigma Sin man? 😭 Alex and Mila’s book was insane and full of twists and so so so so fckin good. The chemistry was off the charts, the smut was so good, the obsession Alex and Mila had with each other? Chef’s kiss. Had me giggling, kicking my feet, biting my lip. The way that their lives were so intertwined had me glued to the book. This really might be my favorite of Eva’s yet!

It's official rant time
folks this book was my highly anticipated read of 2025 and as the clock hit 12 am, i downloaded this book on ku and started reading.
I m highly disappointed and frustrated, this book where mmc who is member of this secret society ie sigma sin, is in psychiatric ward for something that happened to him and now he doesn't talk to anyone, where fmc who has joined this college because she wants to avenge the death of her best frnd who was murdered by a member of sigma sin.
now, the plot sounded interesting right? well thats the only good part of this book.........
my question: WHERE IS THE ROMANCE? WHERE IS THE CHEMISTRY? WHERE IS THE ANGST?
i swear everything in this book just felt insta like insta love..........they saw, they met and they fell in love.
Books with unhinged mmc ? sure why not. but herein the characters felt like they are 40"S like the way they interacted, their whole chemistry just felt like between two people in their 40's
Now comes the whole internal dialogue, gosh toooo much, where the interaction felt boring and i was least bothered by their drama.
like seriously they saw, they met, they fell in love.........like no dates, no swoony moments, no fun college moments......all they did was sex, chat about pasts and don't even get me, on the internal dialogue of fmc, ohhhh my god
This book is sold as dark romance, but where the hell is romance? make me believe why do these characters are to be together, throughout the book i held poker face no feelings other than cringe and bless my heart i cringed so many times.
the fmc was portrayed kickass and she knew what she wanted yet she time and time was forced an interaction with her ex, who she had the same conversation with even though she started hooking up with mmc.
I seriously don't know who to recommend this book to, coz i was here for romance but instead i got nothing, this was so badly executed and nothing, i mean nothing was even bit of interesting, i tried my best to finish this book but 70% mark and i just lost all my patience.

Who doesn’t want a strong hot male that’s a man of few words, k1lls anyone who touches his obsession, you, and follows you to keep you safe!? He claims Mila mind, body and soul declaring “You’re mine, Mila. Now. Forever. Always.” Swoon.🫠
I love that Mila is fierce, talented with knives, embraces her own darkness and accepts Alex as he is “…broken, and there is no putting him back together.” The chemistry between these two ignites off the page and their creative use of knives adds to the heat. The plot is intense and keeps you guessing up until the end—of course, even then, there’s still a lot more to uncover at Sigma Sin. I cannot wait for book 4, Revere!

I’ve said it every time I read an Eva Simmons book and I’ll continue to say it: the way that she writes is so descriptive and poetic. Every time I read one of her books, I can feel everything she is writing, and I don’t come across a lot of authors like that.
I have been waiting, not so patiently, for Alex and Mila’s story and it is my favorite of the Sigma Sins books. Alex has been intriguing to me since Saint and Atone did not disappoint in the least bit.
Mila is on a mission to find out who unalived her best friend. All she knows, is the man had a Sigma Sin signet ring. Alex has been at Montgomery Psych Ward since his third trial and has spoken to no one. When ghosts from the past are brought to the forefront, will these two embrace being alive?
I loved this book from start to finish. It’s the obsession in Alex that had me in a chokehold. This man is scarred from the inside out and doesn’t think he deserves Mila in the slightest bit. This man calling her his angel, perfection.
And Mila not thinking she’d be enough for Alex hurt my heart. This girl loves with her whole being and would go to the ends of the earth for the people she loves, she’s just doesn’t know that Alex is the same.

I genuinely think Atone became my favorite book in the entire Sigma Sin series. Like… I LOVED this one.
There’s just something about a man whose entire personality revolves around being obsessed with her that works on me every single time 😭
What I loved most about this book was the contrast between their POVs. In her chapters, she’s out there living her life, hanging out with friends, partying, trying to survive everything happening around her… and then you switch to his POV and suddenly his entire brain is just HER. Every thought somehow comes back to her existence, her safety, her breathing, her everything. Inject that trope directly into my veins.
The connection between them felt so intense and addictive, and honestly, I was hooked from beginning to end. The suspense and the deeper story behind everything made it even better because it wasn’t just romance carrying the plot. There was constantly something happening that kept me wanting more.
And him? Oh, I loved him BADLY. Obsessed MMCs who fall first will forever own me.

i loved kole & violet and i loved delcan & teal, but i think mila & alex take the cake in this one. the way these two healed and understood one another was just absolutely incredible.
alex spent 3 years in a psychiatric hospital, and didn’t say a word the entire time he was there. not when his sister visited and not when mila visited, but when he got out and caught mila snooping he used his voice for her and her only.
after everything alex had gone through and experienced he trust mila enough to use his voice and it was beautiful. mila, while trying to find out who hurt her best friend, managed to capture alex’s attention the same alex captured hers.
these two were so healing in SO many ways. they listened to each other, they understood each other, and they healed one another in ways that no one else would be able to do.
alex & mila were everything i didn’t know i needed.

Thanks to the author for this ARC! This was by far my favorite of the series so far. I wasn’t sure Declan and Teal’s story could be topped for me but I should have known the quiet one would undo me. I found Alex to be a little ‘softer’ than the other MMC’s in this series and that was appreciated. The core of this story is similar to the other books but the dynamic between Alex and Mila was very different (in a good way). There really was no hardness from Alex to Mila and after the heavy bully themes from Declan I needed that! The overarching plot through these books is entertaining and I can’t wait to see where it goes. Highly recommend if you enjoy a dark romance/secret society book!!

I definitely binged this entire book in a day. I have been so interested in reading Alex’s story and it was better than I could have even imagined.
Every book in this series has truly had me in a chokehold and each is so unique. Even though Sigma Sin is the root of this series each story is different in its own way and this dark redemption romance took me on a ride.
Alex’s obsession, possession and protectiveness over Mila is addicting. She is such a badass and I love her confidence and independence.
I can’t wait for Patience and her story with the hot, older professor next 🤭

3.5⭐️ THE ROMANCE HAD ME NOT GONNA LIEEEEE. I loved Mila and Alex as individuals and as a couple, like i was here for it and at times the tension was THICK between them. This series so far is so bingeable and at times gags me over and over lol. However, this book fell a little flat in terms of the plot? Like everything felt so anticlimactic, but i will be reading book 4 so we’ll see how that goes lmao.

Alex is dark, complicated, and deeply scarred — the kind of man who’s had his pain twisted and used against him, especially by his father. My heart broke for him over and over again. You can feel the war inside him between who he’s been told to be and who he actually wants to become.
And then there’s Mila. She’s the light he never thought he deserved, the only person who truly sees him and loves him despite (and because of) his darkness. Their connection is raw, emotional, and so intense. You can feel every ounce of love, longing, and pain between them.
This story was beautiful and heartbreaking all at once. It’s about love, redemption, and finding the one person who makes all the darkness fade.

Omg this book was everything to me, I love these two so much! Probably one of my favorite Eva couples. Alex and Mila are just so perfect together
In the beginning of the book Alex is still in the Psych Ward for what happened to him during his fraternity trials and still not talking, he’s broken, has physical emotional scars and unhinged and he’s obsession with Mila who’s also his sister bestfriends
The spice in this book was top tier and knife play!? HOT AF and the secret trope had my jaw dropping because I lowkey wasn’t expecting that
Mila is sneaking around in the frat trying to find out who started the fire who cause the death of her bestfriend from her childhood, my pookie is just a traumatized girlie I literally love her so much
I enjoyed everything about this so much, their banter, the chemistry and twists that were happening had me lowkey crashing out I couldn’t get enough of them and their relationship you can feel the love and obsession they have with each other throughout the book, like give me 14 more Novellas of them NOW
I seriously can’t wait for the next book I have so many theories and I can’t wait to see how they pan out!

Since the beginning of the series, I have been fascinated by Alex's character and we finally got to see their story play out. This series is an interconnected standalone so we get to see Alex's perspectives on some of the previous events in the other two books.
When Mila meets Alex for the first time, its with her friend Patience in the psychiatric ward he has been in for the last several years. While quiet and withdrawn, he immediately had her full attention so much so that she begins to visit him in secret. Over time their bond and their chemistry built and I could not get enough.
Alex is the definition of morally grey in the best way possible. He is obsessed with Mila, even as he was trying to push her away. I loved all the little things he did to help protect her. And truthfully the best part of this book was how utterly obsessed Mila was with Alex. She could not stay away either and it was the perfect recipe for their love story.
The twists and turns in their story and the overall plot of the series were perfectly done. The way that events in Alex and Mila's lives were interconnected had me on the edge of my seat and unable to put the book down. Alex and Mila might just be my new favorite Eva couple, at least until I go reread the series again.

ATONE BLEW MY MIND!!! Eva Simmons has the special gift of writing morally black MMCs in such a beautiful poetic way, it makes them look like angels. I gobbled this book up and then asked for seconds.
