Forever Yours

From Joslyn Westbrook comes a steamy age-gap romance that blends sizzling chemistry, banter, and a fling that refuses to stay simple.
My goal is pretty simple this summer: house-sit on the beach for three quiet months and mend what’s left of my heart before starting a new job in New York.
What I don’t need is Knox.
The slightly older guy next door who’s brooding, guarded, and way too tempting—with a scowl that could melt glass and abs that ought to come with a warning label.
But when a small predicament, plus one very awkward naked moment, pushes our “only neighbors” thing into unexpected territory, sparks become impossible to ignore.
So we lay down a few simple rules:
No last names. No numbers. No strings.
A flawless arrangement…for about five minutes.
What begins as a summer-only fling soon feels deeper and far more dangerous to our hearts.
Because once summer ends, walking away isn’t as easy as we’d promised.
And when fate throws us back together, nothing could have prepared me for what happens next.
Warning: Forever Yours is packed with kitten chaos, coastal-town shenanigans, big-city complications, and enough heat to make you reach for a fan.

This was SO CUTE!

I loved Knox and Cami together. Both of them are nursing broken relationships. Knox fairly newly divorced and Cami returning to the States after heartbreak across the pond.

Their meet cute was hilarious and the kitten chaos was divine. It definitely allowed us to see a side of Knox we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise.

What starts as awkward neighbors, to fostering kittens together, to a summer fling - it flows well and is so heartfelt.

"Now I'm knee-deep in kittens, a mother cat in labor, and a hot-as-hell neighbor who may damn well ruin me."

I really enjoyed watching these two grow and heal together and the twists at the end were great and added so much to the story.

A highly entertaining read and enjoyable to read Joslyn Westbrook's words again. Looking forward to many more.

I voluntarily requested and read an advanced reader copy.

What an amazing book! I absolutely LOVED it!
It swept me away into this world of a summer fling becoming so much more. It is a slow burn, and there simply aren’t enough words to describe how I felt while reading this wonderful love story. The love that Cami and Knox feel for each other exudes from the pages. It is simply perfect! Even after finishing this book a few days ago, Knox and Cami are still on my mind.

~~She, this fling, was meant to be part of my healing. Not getting wrecked all over again. But maybe I’ve already passed the point of no return.~~

~~“Whatever happens,” I whisper, “I’m still forever yours.”~~

Review based on an arc.

While housesitting for her bestie, Cami has the meet cute of all meet cutes with her hot, but grumpy neighbor, Knox. Somehow, though not exactly thrilled with each other upon that first meet cute, they end up adopting some adorable cats together, and becoming a neighbors with benefits situation. It's just for the summer, though, while she's here and he's taken himself out of town to give his ex the required time to get out of his house. But will their fling really stay as just fling? Asking that question may be moot when a twist reveals itself that could be too big to scale.

Knox and Cami's chemistry is positively delicious! Plus banter, adorable cats (yay Shadow and Stripe!), and close proximity all equal a fun, spicy fling to more story. I really like this couple, the twist made things more urgent, but in the end they got the sweetest ever after.

Just finished reading an advanced copy of a book called, Forever Yours. This is about Cami, she is ready for a quiet summer while house sitting in the small beach town of Crystal Cove. She is using this time to heal from a bad relationship and prepare for a new job in New York she'll be starting when summer's over. But an awkward run in (literally) with Knox, the hot next door neighbor, and noises in the attic kick start her summer into one she will never forget. With the chemistry off the charts between Cami and Knox, they decide to finally give in to a summer fling. No last names, no job titles, no numbers exchanged, and no getting attached. But as the summer heats up, so does this fling between these two, and when real feelings and a genuine connection happens between them can they still have a clean break when summer ends?
This was phenomenal! This was an absolutely fantastic romcom and the perfect summer read! It was a summer fling story with grumpy/sunshine, neighbors to lovers, age gap, he falls first, and forced proximity. I devoured this story, I couldn't stop reading it! I totally loved Cami and Knox, their love story was so beautiful, fun, and genuine. I also adored the side characters like Stripe and Shadow, as well as the Trouble Triplets next door that totally gave Golden Girls vibes! Also maybe this was just me but I was just vibing along and enjoying the story, I was totally not expecting that plot twist! My jaw was on the floor! This book was perfection, I absolutely loved it and didn't want it to end!
(For my book review pic I wanted to recreate Cami and Knox's picnic date because it was such a sweet scene.) 🩷📚

Thank you Joslyn Westbrook and Wildfire Marketing for this ARC of Forever Yours, in exchange for an honest review.

For fans of:
Summer fling / no strings
Neighbors
He falls first
Found family
Banter
Emotional wounds
Age gap (24/35)
Cat lovers

This was such a good summer read. Like the kind of book you take to the beach and accidentally finish in one sitting.

Knox… that’s it. That’s the review.

No but seriously, I loved him. Broody, emotionally unavailable, secretly soft men will do it for me every time.

I got attached to Knox and Cami so fast. Their chemistry felt natural, the banter was actually funny, and the emotional moments really hit for me. There’s also a twist in here that I genuinely did not see coming at all.

I also loved the found family vibes, the side characters, and obviously the kittens stole the entire show.

♾️⭐️

I won this book through a Goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review. Thanks for choosing me.

I'm going to start this review by saying thank you to Joslyn Westbrook for trusting me with her masterpiece. Thank you for allowing me to spend time with Knox and Cami.

Knox is hands down the best male character I've ever read. He's sweet. He's genuine. He's respectful. The man deserves for his pillow to always be cool when he goes to sleep at night. His character is absolutely wonderful. He's patient and understanding. He's healing, and yet he never hurt Cami. Maybe hurt people don't always hurt people. I can sing this man's praises forever. And I will. To anyone who will listen.

As for Cami, she's wonderful, smart, and caring. She's full of courage and slightly timid, possibly cautious, too. I honestly don't blame her. She went through it, and she was healing as well. Hats off to her for also choosing not to hurt Knox even when her insecurities flared she never hurt him, further solidifying my opinion that hurt people don't always hurt people. I'm happy I was given the chance to walk beside her as she found her confidence again because it felt like maybe I could too.

Mont, sir, you are amazing. Paxton, you are the perfect comedic addition to the story, as are the Trouble Triplets. Stripe and Shadow, you two have won me over, I am now officially a cat lover. 🐱💚

This novel takes its time. It doesn't rush or push it simply exists in its own timeline. It lets you know it's there while allowing you to choose how long it takes you to get there. It's patient and kind, and it never rushes you into anything. Instead, it allows you to breathe and sit with the knowledge that you're not falling in love you're growing in it. It takes you for a long stroll, complete with sandy beaches, powdered sugar covered pancakes, hot showers, bottle fed kittens and tangled bedsheets, letting you know it's there ready to catch you when you admit what you've known all along.

This isn't just a romance novel; it's a stunning work of art - a work of love. Knox and Cami's story will be a part of my soul for my entire life. ❤️

Forever Yours - Joslyn Westbrook - 4/5 ⭐

For my inspired Pinterest board (spoilers possible) - @amberlw04 - books - forever yours

I received this as an ARC and I’m honestly so glad I did because this surprised me in the best way.

I don’t usually love contemporary romance — I tend to find them a bit dull or like they’re missing something to really keep me hooked — but there was just something about this that had me completely invested. It felt like the perfect summer read, like a cosy Hallmark movie but in all the best ways, with so much heart behind it.

And the TWIST?? I genuinely did not see it coming at all and I loved it. It completely pulled everything together in such a satisfying way.

Knox and Cami were everything. They felt so raw and real, and I never once stopped rooting for them. You could feel the emotion in every interaction, and I was so invested in their journey. Also — this book was actually funny?? I don’t usually laugh out loud at books because humour can fall a bit flat for me, but this had me properly laughing, which even I didn’t expect.

I also really appreciated the awareness and inclusion of POTS, it felt thoughtful and added another layer to the story that made it even more meaningful.

And the side characters?? I loved every single one. This book just brought me so much joy — especially the little kittens, which completely stole my heart.

This was so close to being a 5 star read for me. The only reason it dipped slightly is because it felt like it dragged a bit in the middle, but it did pick back up and had me hooked again not long after.

Overall, this is such a lovely love story with so much care and thought put into it. I already know I’ll be rereading just to pick up on all the little easter eggs now that I know what’s coming!

Thank you Joslyn!

Returning to the US after earning her Ph.D. from Oxford, Cami takes a summer gig housesitting in Crystal Cove, Connecticut before adulting officially begins.

A series of meet-cutes with hottie next door, Knox, leads to an agreement for a no-strings summer fling while fostering the chaos gremlins together.

But as summer comes to an end, it’s impossible to ignore that somewhere along the way, they broke the rules and fell in love. And when August arrives, reality finally catches up with them.

The pacing was a bit slow, deliberately, I suppose. But I did find myself wishing I could fast forward. That said, I did enjoy the story and characters, particularly the Trouble Triplets and, of course, Stripe and Shadow.

“Beneath the banter lies a truth I don’t need to say aloud: with Cami, I’m not rewritten, not revised, not redrafted. I’m simply…me.”

Kitten cuteness. Physical attraction. A summer fling. Or is it? Immediately the humorous tone pulls me in. Great start, with a hot, very non-Hallmark-but-still-cute meet cute. Sparks fly. It feels very 'now'. To make 'first person, present tense' flow so easily takes skill. Written in an easy-to-read, one-more-chapter way, this was a compelling story of romance and finding your way in life - and love. Knox knows all the right words to say and it's not just talk, it's action too. Making Cami feel worthy, and that matters. To me, that's true romance, when a man truly listens and really sees you. That's worth more than any chair pulled out or door held open. Of course there's the recurrent problem that Knox and Cami made a deal to only share 'bubble-things', and not real-life things, and that kind of limits the relationship, but at the same time, it's full of sun and fun! Then comes July and that middle section did drag a bit, for a little while. Very steamy, definitely meant for adults, but for my liking maybe too many scenes in July. But then comes a twist that I won't spoil, but I did find very relatable. That grabbed my attention and I was fully back into it! It gave the story more depth, and made for a well-rounded plot. So July ended in a good way for me. And at the end of the book, I felt happy, it was a true comfort read.

Forever Yours is a heartfelt and emotionally engaging romance that blends humor, emotional healing, and undeniable chemistry into a compelling summer love story. Joslyn Westbrook creates a warm and immersive narrative filled with witty banter, emotional vulnerability, and the kind of connection that gradually grows impossible to ignore.

One of the novel’s greatest strengths is the dynamic between the main characters. The tension between guarded emotions and growing attraction creates a natural emotional pull throughout the story, while the playful interactions and evolving relationship give the romance charm and authenticity. Their attempt to keep things casual only deepens the emotional stakes, making the progression of the relationship especially satisfying.

The coastal setting also adds warmth and atmosphere to the narrative. The blend of beachside living, small town energy, and personal reflection creates the perfect backdrop for emotional growth and romantic discovery. The lighter moments involving community interactions and everyday chaos help balance the emotional depth of the story beautifully.

What makes Forever Yours especially engaging is its balance between emotional heart, humor, and romantic tension. Warm, entertaining, and emotionally satisfying, the novel offers readers a memorable romance about healing, vulnerability, and discovering that some connections are impossible to leave behind.

“Men are beautiful disasters wrapped in cologne and contradiction.”

“Last thing I need is temptation tied up in a neat little bow.”

“Now I’m knee-deep in kittens, a mother cat in labor, and a hot as hell Neighbor, who may damn well ruin me.”

“That might be the most romantic use of outdated technology I’ve ever seen.”

“Let yourself be in love. Doesn’t have to be forever to be worth it.”

Thanks to the lovely author for my gifted copy of this one. It’s the coolest book mail I’ve received as of late. The formatting of this novel is top notch.

It was an impromptu summer fling…with simple rules…or maybe not so simple…

No strings.
No real-world talk.
No falling in love.

What to expect…

Broody neighbor guy
Cute attic surprise
Collisions of the best kind
Slow burn…simmer kind of romance
Medical Diagnosis Rep
Kittens galore
Age Gap
Insta love
Bubble phones

This was a sweet open door romance where a Summer fling turns into something much deeper. Two lonely, broken hearts come together 💜 to find romance where they least expect it.

Knox and Cami have a meet cute that happens off page, but it's not something you need to have been part of to appreciate their story.

Their connection was quick and instant. It did work for me while they were at the beach. There were some things that happened there that worked for the plot and the relationship development, but the characters didn't feel like people until about halfway through the book.

The plot twist was obvious to me. In fact, it was obvious enough that the connection not being known previously felt it was a little unbelievable.

The story felt a little unbalanced. It was close to an instalove with their relationship, the cats, and their determination to place rules around the relationship they were starting. But then the resolution seemed to just tie itself in quickly. I see the way it was plotted, and the why of it, but it ended up with feeling like who they were in the last 25% of the book was never fully allowed to exist and they never felt like complete characters.

I did enjoy this overall, but the lack of balance in the story did make this one feel a little unbalanced.

This would make a great film, perfect amount of romance, humour, twists and compelling story. Cami has left Britain behind and now she's house sitting for the summer for her BFF. It seems the perfect beach front house. Gorgeous sea view from the window, secluded beach with neighbours a perfect distance away. Until she runs straight into her neighbour whilst running into her house after leaving the outdoor shower naked. Hoping never to bump into the handsome neighbour again. Knox is spending the summer in his beach cottage, whilst giving his ex wife time to leave their home totally. After catching her cheating on him, he's now sworn off woman completely. But then his neighbour is naked in front off him. Meet cute or what. This is the start of a great story that pulls you straight in. Between the strange noises, cute kittens and the totally unexpected twist which i didn't see coming. The book is brilliant and well written. This is tge first book I've read from this author but will look to read more

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the story of Knox and Cami. This is a perfect summer beach read too. Cami has her summer all planned out. She is going to housesit for three months in a house on the beach. After that she will be moving and starting a new job in New York. She has just graduated from college with her PhD and is ready for a quiet peaceful break. She never in a million years would have bet on Knox being her neighbor. He is a man who has been though it lately with catching his wife cheating and then divorcing. He needs some peace in his life too. His best friend is convinced all he needs is a summer fling. The way these two meet is hilarious. I would have been so mortified and I'm sure Cami was. I have to hush telling you funny things in this book or I will tell you the whole story. You have co-kitten parents, moments that will have you laughing out loud. Some serious steam and a story that is going to steal your heart. I loved every second of this book, and you will too.

I loved Forever Yours! The plot, main and secondary characters were an absolute blast. The book grabbed a hold of me and I couldn’t put it down. I felt all the emotions the characters did and just fell in love with them. The passion and connection between Knox and Cami was so electric and genuine it just had you rooting for them. Knox and Cami were amazing characters and I adored them both and getting to know their past hurts and how they were dealing with them and using those experiences to push forward and learn what they deserved from both themselves and a partner was genuinely beautiful to read. I adored their love story and all of the little things that made them such a strong couple. I adored Stripe and Shadow and the story behind them, they were so cute and really were the start of Knox and Cami’s story. The Trouble Triplets were a blast and I loved meeting both Knox and Cami’s families. I saw the twist coming but it didn’t make it any less special to read and I enjoyed not knowing the exact sequence of events, it was still such a beautiful story.

I wanted to like this story more. My main issue was with Cami. I mean, she seemed nice enough. However, I didn't believe she had a PhD, especially at her age (even if she finished high school early by US standards). As someone who works in academia and knows people who have worked hard to get their PhDs, Cami sighing and saying "...And somewhere along the way, I picked up a PhD. Still not sure how that happened" irked (and almost offended) me. Maybe Daddy's money bought it? She doesn't seem to indicate having an actual job before starting the job in this book (a job for which she doesn't need a PhD), so she also comes across as a nepo baby. I also thought it weird that she wore a thong bikini with a sheer skirt coverup to an evening beach date. Wouldn't she get cold? Wouldn't she know that? I didn't find Mont too likeable and the third act complication should have been a non-issue.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Fantastic read!!

This book has everything you love in a romance book! A summer fling, quirky side characters and a couple of cute kittens that help them get together!
Knox and Cami just want to get away and refocus. Both have past relationships that have hurt them and aren't looking for anything serious. They meet in a cute way and then it just gets cuter as they find out they are neighbors. These 2 have some serious chemistry and it's shown beautifully within this book. The little moments with them on the couch just talking, playing with the kitties and the sweet moments they have before they go to bed. A simple trip to Vermont together changes their situation to something real. There's steamy parts in this but it's more than that to me. His family is the best people on the planet, I swear!
There's so many great moments in this book that will have you laughing, swooning and wanting to live in Crystal Cove!

Summer bubble
This quietly took over my heart. Reading about Cami and Knox agreeing to a summer fling bubble with no real world interference grabbed my heart and I slowly fell in love right along with them.
This was slow burn beautiful, full of quiet moments, banter, humour, adorable kittens, the Trouble Triplets, healing and building emotion.
These two had shrunk themselves to fit other’s expectations for it only to lead to betrayal and heartbreak. The summer was meant to be a reset for both of them but fate gave them something so much more.
I loved their cute warmup dates, their growing trust, their families & best friends, they way they stayed when things went sideways.
This is sweet, steamy and heartfelt, there’s a few twists full of heartache or joy, and a beautiful romance that even Hallmark would be proud of.

Forever Yours by Joslyn Westbrook is my first book by this author and I am very excited to read more. This is a small-town, age-gap, he falls first, no strings attached summer fling story and I was captivated from the start. I loved the steamy connection and banter between Knox and Cami. They were so great together. Knox is brooding but is going through a lot right now. Cami is sweet and caring and not ready at all for Knox. She is only there temporarily and he is not ready for anything serious. So, a no strings attached summer fling may just be the thing for them. Easy, right?

I loved their journey so much. Kittens, a laugh out loud meet-cute, lines blurring all had me laughing and cheering them on right from the start. Forever Yours by Joslyn Westbrook was so much fun to read, charming and steamy. I am so excited to read more from this author.

Happy reading!

Cami meets Knox, her next door neighbour, while she is house sitting for three months. She's trying to keep out of his way after the first encounter, as it was rather embarrassing, but when she's in the bath she hears weird noises coming from the attic and rushes next door to ask him to help. He finds a cat and two kittens, she's trying hard to have a third kitten but is exhausted and weak. They rush to the vets and end up looking after Shadow and Stripe, they need bottle feeding as the mother can't feed them.
They become close and both are trying not to have feelings for the other one, Cami comes up with a list of rules, will they be able to stick to them?!
Once the summer is over they are supposed to not see each other, which is easy as they don't know their surnames or telephone numbers or have any way to contact each other.
A great read with an amazing twist!

This was a sweet & spicy book. It has several tropes: age-gap, he falls first, summer fling, neighbours. The banter was funny, so was the internal dialogue, that had me laughing out loud. There were so many sweet and tender moments, some that made me cry. Cami and Knox have such a great connection, and it had my tummy full of butterflies, pulse racing right along with them.
The twist was so NOT what I was expecting and I actually screamed (good thing I was home alone!!) until my throat was sore, but in a good way.
My favourite swoon-worthy quote: "I meant what I said, Bubble Girl. You get to decide when this leaves the bubble and crosses into real life. I'll wait forever if that's how long it takes to be yours."

I truly fell for these characters, thoroughly enjoying the book and have already recommended it!

Oh this book was SO good and had me completely captivated! This was emotionally satisfying and so fun to read, the characters were special and the storyline blended humor and sizzling chemistry.

As their summer fling continued it was obvious how neither of them were going to live up to the agreed upon rules. I loved watching these two fall deeper in love moment by moment.

Little Shadow and Stripe were adorable secondary characters that upped the aw factor. The little matchmakers helped bring their human parents together in close proximity.

When the story moved to New York I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see how things would unfold and then how everything was going to work out. I loved the unexpected twist and ending. This is one of my favorite books of 2026!

Cami and Knox are temporary neighbors in a beachside town for the summer. Neither is looking for anything permanent as Cami is there house-sitting before she goes to her new job, and Knox is there to be away from his place while his ex-wife moves out. Their 1st meeting is amusing as Cami is running from her outdoor shower into the house naked and runs smack-dab into Knox. Their 3rd meeting has Knox playing the white knight when Cami runs out from her bath after hearing strange sounds in the attic. They end up rescuing a pregnant cat and work together fostering 2 of the kittens. I like the slow build-up between these two and appreciate that they don't just jump straight into bed. They agree to a summer fling away from real life, but the true adventure begins when reality comes crashing back.

This was my first arc!

Forever Yours completely snuck up on me. Knox and Cami’s chemistry is electric and their banter is genuinely funny. I loved watching two guarded people slowly trust again felt completely earned, especially when it’s only supposed to be a summer fling. All of the side characters were amazing. It almost felt like a movie.
Stripe and Shadow are an absolute gift and the reason these two let their walls down.
The twist? Ha! The author got me. Didn’t see it coming. Loved every second of it.
And Paxton needs his own book.
This book is sweet, steamy in the best way, emotional, and surprisingly funny. This was my first time reading this author. Highly recommend. 🩷

Forever Yours was such a cute, cozy summer romance!

It’s definitely more of a low-stakes, easygoing read, but that’s honestly what made it work. The chemistry between the main characters felt natural and effortless, and I really loved Knox! He's one of those characters that just embodies what it means to be a green flag MMC 💕

The story starts off a little slow, but it picks up nicely in the second half, especially once the romance and spice develop more. And the side characters, ESPECIALLY the older neighbors, added so much charm and humor to the story.
It’s not a super plot-heavy or standout romance, but it’s one of those books I’d happily pick up again when I’m in the mood for something light, sweet, and comforting

Their chemistry is undeniable and their story is like romance wrapped in a hug, a kiss, and a whole lot of steamy moments! Cami and Knox meet as summer neighbors. Cami is house sitting next door to Knox and after several awkward chance encounters, and some rescued kittens, they decide to pursue a summer romance. No last names, no job details, just learning each other. Sparks 🔥🔥 fly and the promise of no feelings goes out the window when Cami has a health scare and Knox’s grandpa is injured. Despite their relationship histories, the respect and trust they have for each other is felt throughout their whole relationship. When summer ends and real life begins they are thrown even more road blocks. Will they reconnect in real life and survive what it has to offer?? A truly perfect read!

This is Knox and Cami’s story.
Cami is sweet and independent, and she just wants to spend the summer house sitting a house on the beach, and mend her heart, while Knox is broody and guarded, and is her neighbor, and the sparks fly between them. A summer fling, with no strings, no last names, and no numbers, is what they agree on, but what happens when the summer ends?
This is a well written easy to read, action packed story, with found family, friendships, emotions, tension, challenges, forced proximity, tad age gap, neighbors / lovers, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining unpredictable, and fun, small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

A very sweet romance.
Adorable kittens and sassy neighbors just make it more warm and fuzzy.
The book has adult scenes in them but for those who may enjoy no spice romances you could just skip thru those pages and continue on, I think you would enjoy this book, and for this who like those scene's they are there.
The two main characters have good background stories to them and friends that care about them so that makes it more of a love story.
Meeting and agreeing to a summer fling only releaves a lot of that early relationship anxiety that usually happens and let's them enjoy the moments and each other so easily. That's where the sweetness comes in.
Light energy romance read.
I recieved an ARC from the author and I enjoyed this book.

I'm not gonna lie this pulled me in when I saw kitten chaos. I knew I needed to read this one. This was a delightful summer fling romance. A great sense of humor in this one. The banter between them right off the bat was great. I love an age gap romance so this is my jam. The lady and her two friends who Cami was house sitting for are a hoot. I loved them. The one reminded me of my grandma. It's supposed to be all no strings fun, but those pesky feelings flare up. What happens once summer is over? I was rooting for these two the whole way. Everything that Cami has gone through she deserves a man like Knox in her life. Knox's ex is one nasty human that karma needs to make a visit to. This was a fun steamy read with adorable kittens!!
