A love story. A motherhood story. A survival story.
When Raya and Aarav learn they’re expecting, their lives bloom with hope. They dream of tiny fingers wrapped around theirs, lazy stroller walks in the park, and a future filled with giggles and bedtime stories. But pregnancy is not just joy—it’s vulnerability, sleepless nights, and moments when fear whispers louder than faith.
Through intimate diary-like reflections and unflinching honesty, Born of Us takes readers on an emotional journey from the first flicker of life to the moments that test love, identity, and resilience. This is not just about becoming parents—it’s about becoming more than you thought you could be.
Tender, raw, and deeply human, Born of Us will resonate with anyone who has ever dreamed, loved, and faced the unthinkable. Perfect for readers who loved Motherhood, Tiny Beautiful Things, and personal memoirs that celebrate both the beauty and the ache of life.
Born of Us is a heartwarming tale of a mother's journey. Not every woman gets to talk about these things or the emotional strength it takes to be the best mom you can be. This book opens a door for beautiful conversations. Great book!
"I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.” Born of us. This book is surprisingly captivating. Ria Jain's honest and vulnerable portrayal of motherhood offers a profound look into the experiences of women on this journey. The narrative effectively balances the hope and joy of parenthood with the inherent fear and uncertainty. The diary-like structure provides an intimate and personal reading experience, as if the reader has been granted access to a private world. This story prompts a deeper consideration of love, resilience, and identity. It is a work that lingers in the mind long after the final page is turned, and I highly recommend it.💛
The universal rollercoaster of pregnancy and early motherhood is beautiful, terrifying, stressful, heartwarming, and amazing. Enjoy this journey of one woman giving her heart and soul for her baby.
A tender story that explored love, motherhood, sacrifice, and resilience with such remarkable sensitivity. The first pages were emotional and heartbreaking feeling the weight of motherhood and it's journey that can be so heavy at times. The bond and relationship felt authentic and genuine and so meaningful. Such a heartfelt read.

Born of Us by Ria Jain is her own story of becoming a mother for the first time. Told from the perspective of her future self telling the story to her daughter of how she was born. After reading Heart Knows No Miles by Ria Jain, of how she met her husband when they lived on two different continents, I was especially excited to read more! Written like a fairytale with lyrical writing, drama, and a very happy ending. I kept wanting to know what happened next! Ria’s personal account of her experiences through child bearing, up and down, was so inspiring and really opened a door to understanding the extent to what women go through to have their children and their strength. Perfect read for the autumn holidays to be thankful for those you love and who love you.❤️
I found myself surprised by how much this book drew me in. Ria Jain writes about motherhood in a way that feels honest and vulnerable, and it gave me a deeper appreciation for what women go through during this journey. I admired how the story balanced the hope and joy of becoming a parent with the fear and uncertainty that come with it. The diary-like style felt personal, almost like being trusted with someone’s inner world. It made me think about love, resilience, and identity in ways I hadn’t considered before. This is a story that lingers long after the last page. I highly recommend!
