The Hart of Texas brings Katie and her daughter, Sarah to Texas from New York State. Katie's husband was killed the previous Christmas by a drunk driver. Sarah's grandparents are smothering and manipulating Katie and Sarah. Distance from the controlling relatives is needed. The small western town they chose to settle in is very different from the green hilly East. Ben Hart and his extended family have owned the large ranch for generations. Ben's past experiences with love and marriage have left deep pain and fear of commitment.
