Nix Known as the middle triplet, the crazy one, Nix is used to being underestimated and dismissed. It’s been his mission in life to make everyone around him laugh and be happy. Nix has always taken this responsibility seriously, even when it meant that he wasn’t able to share his true self with anyone. Drafted by Florida in the Paranormal American Hockey League, Nix finds himself without family for the very first time. Luckily his new goalie is destined to be his new bestie and Nix can focus all his attention on him.
Evan Trust isn’t something that comes to Evan (Mules) Mueller easily. He already lost everything once when the paranormal community came out into the open. Now Evan dedicates his life to playing hockey and adding to his hoard. The new rookie confuses Evan as Nix declares them best friends before becoming entrenched in every part of Evan’s life. The more time that Evan spends with the little shifter, the more he’s drawn toward Nix. The glimpses of Nix’s true personality begin to peek through, calling to the Daddy inside Evan. Between bullies in the locker room, threats on ice, and exploring mutual kinks, Nix and Evan are ready to take on the world together. Never underestimate the protectiveness of a dragon Daddy when it comes to his sweet and sassy boy.
*The events of Nix run along the same timeline as Aries. It is suggested to read Aries before enjoying Nix’s story.*
This book features an all-things-pumpkin obsessed fruit bat shifter and his quiet but protective dragon Daddy. This book contains MM sexual content (men having sex with each other), age gap relationship, punishment/ discipline, and the art of Shibari. This book is an exploration of a relationship between two (Male) consensual adults that are looking for love and acceptance. All characters are over the age of consent. No cheating or cliff-hangers.
3rd person Dual POV Daddy/boy Paranormal Dragon & Fruit bat shifter Ropes So much pumpkin
I loved Phoenix and Evan’s story. So many cute moments once Evan finally gives into Phoenix. Phoenix is just a ray of sunshine that Evan didn’t stand a chance against. We get a little cameo of Aries & Vin which I always love. Definitely great addition to the PAHL. I cannot wait for Gems story he’s such a mystery.
This is a story about Nix, an underestimated and fun-loving hockey player, and Evan, his new teammate and a dragon shifter who has a hard time trusting others. Nix, who is known as the "crazy" triplet, has always hidden his true self to make others happy. He's a new draft pick in the Paranormal American Hockey League and immediately latches onto Evan, believing they are destined to be best friends. Evan, a secretive dragon shifter, is wary of the new rookie, but Nix's bubbly personality slowly wins him over. As they grow closer, Evan begins to see glimpses of the real Nix and feels a protective, "Daddy" instinct kick in.
I loved this story with the energetic and excitable Nix and controlled and quiet Evan. I loved that they fit perfectly together as Daddy and his boy. I loved the way that Nix's fruit bat had a thing for pumpkins. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.
Nix & Evan —————— Okay, so, did I love them more than Vin & Aries… yes and no. I feel like both had a good buildup and cute relationship moments. I think V/A was much more action packed while N/E was more emotional — which fits the characters.
I loved Evan’s dragon. Even though we didn’t really meet him I feel like we met him. I think Evan and Nix are great for each other. We got pumpkin stuff but I wish there was more. I liked how Evan and Nix’s dynamic was. The only real BDSM thing was the rope and even then it seemed more like a kink if anything. Sure Evan was a caretaker but not like V/A dynamic.
I liked the moment Evan went for Marlin, Nix defending Evan, the pumpkin patch, Nix being in Evan’s apartment for the first time (seeing his hoard), the magic mirror, and Evan being growly about Nix.
I’m excited for Robbs & Zany, still, and look forward to seeing who Gem’s mystery man is. (edit: gems mystery man is kotov)
Another wonderful book from Athena! I was hooked by the first in this series and now the second one has only dug that hook even deeper. I love and adore these triplets and cannot wait for not only the special but Gems story! Nix is so bubbly and bouncy, while Evan is quiet and reserved which just makes them the perfect pair. They each needed one another and I love where their relationship went and is going. I look forward to the day Nix gets to see Evan’s dragon! I bet he is a cool dragon too! I’m not usually one for the sport genre but Athena clearly has powers because I can’t get over this series!
Another 5⭐️ read for me! I can’t wait for more! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to read and review as an arc!
OH...... WOW...... Absolutely Brilliant I loved Nix book 2 in the PAHL series by Athena Steller it's so cute and adorable these triplets are something realy special and I do love Nix & Evan together Nix so bubbly full of sunshine and Evan is so reserved and quiet but they need each other because they see what's truly underneath the daddy dragon and his little boy a fruit bat shifter love it when he's with his brothers Aries and Gem can't wait for his book recommend so much.
Nix and Evan’s book is so sweet. I love how Nix decides he and Evan are going to be best friends and proceeds to do his best to make that happen. Nix might want more, but he learned his lesson. Evan first finds Nix a little pesty, but Nix’s friendliness and glimpses of the real Nix hidden behind the happy silly face are too big of a draw for the Goalie to resist. Their story is cozy and sweet, with the perfect amount of heat. If you like stories about a Dragon Daddy finding his boy you will love this story.
This is a very sweet series. It's always lovely getting to revisit Aries and Vin. But I definitely connected with Nick's and Evan. I like seeing how they started as friends first and just hung out together before things began to develop. It was nice seeing how they connected. I look forward to getting to meet Evan's dragon side in the Christmas book. And I am very curious about Gem's book. I'm guessing Gem is a Daddy, but we'll see!
As always, there were a few grammar mistakes and editing needs. But not enough to kick you out of the story.
Phoenix is the middle triplet and has been drafted to a different hockey team compared to his brothers. He is the happy one who always makes people smile wherever he goes. He makes it his mission to get to know his quiet goal keeper, Evan and will do whatever it takes to get his attention. But, he uses his laughter to hide his true feelings and when Evan sees the man underneath the laughter he becomes enamoured with the little bat shifter. When things heat up on the ice, it’s up to Evan to keep his boy safe.
A sweet story about an energetic brat and his daddy dom who finds way to calm him down and keep him safe.
This book was so great. The only thing that bothered me alittle is that I felt like it ended abruptly. I mean, it wasn’t a cliff hanger. Everything got resolved technically. I just was completely shocked when I went to turn the page, and the book was over. I don’t think I have ever had that happend before.
The books just get more fun with each new story. At first I had some doubts but the characters are just funny and adorable. The writing is excellent and fast-paced, no snoozing off in the middle of the book. (I do that...). Hockey, paranormals creatures, a bit of drama and romance, it works for me!
I really love the triplets in thos series and the whole story is a great getaway from the real world problems. I am looking forward for thr next book in this series
Nix is a pumpkin loving fruit bat that wants to be besties with the team goalie. This is book 2 of our triplet fruit batties and it is wonderful! I can not wait for Gems book and more!
Cute story and a nice follow up, if a but repetitive. The brothers needed a bit more individuality; as did their daddies. They were too similar with their behaviors and backstory. And even the things that should have differed were not explored enough. Also, however poor editing detracted from the flow. I assume this is part 2 of a trilogy and look forward to Gem’s story.

This story was as cute as the first. I enjoyed Nix and Evan together. I really like the cast of characters and hope to see a lot more from them. Great little fluffy reads.
This was a sweet story, and I'm glad I got to know Nix and Evan better. I'm looking forward to Gem's story and more shenanigans that the triplets will bring.
This one and the first one. Both so poorly written. So childish. The main characters feel like actual children (at least the main kettles). I think I need to just not read this author ever again
I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was a good addition to the PAHL Series. I thought that Nix and Evan were great for each other. I did notice a few minor errors while reading this book but there was a lot less than previous books that I’ve read of Athena’s. Nix isn’t used to being on his own since he’s separated from his brothers Gem & Aries (they’re triplets) for the first time due to the them all being drafted to different PAHL teams. Nix is a bundle of happy and can be viewed as too much. As soon as he arrived on his new team he decided that him and their goalie, Evan is going to be best friends even if Evan doesn’t seem to keen. Evan is pretty closed off since it’s hard to trust after losing everything when the paranormal community came out into the open.
He’s all about hockey and adding to his hoard, but the team’s new Rookie, fruit bat shifter Nix confuses him as he declares that they’re best friends. It doesn’t take long Evan to see the true Nix and he and his dragon find him absolutely fascinating. I’m glad that Marlin is eventually going to get his own happily ever after, even though he was being a d*ck towards Nix but he apologised and I can kind of understand why after he explained his reasoning to Nix. It still doesn’t make it right though and I hope that he eventually gives Nix a ride in his pretty new car to show how sorry he is lol. I’m looking forward to reading Gem’s book when it’s released, as well as more books by Athena in the future. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
Evan is such a good match for Nix. He’s so cool, calm and collected & such a brat tamer. They both have such big hearts and it’s such a refreshing take seeing Evan let nix in
