Overall, I really enjoyed this manga. Even though the story isn't an original one, the characters were really good. I especially loved the girl, who was cute and very optemistic and kind of suited the male lead well. They were really cute together. Also, I liked how the romance progressed, even though the big secret wasn't as good as I hoped. The art was nice as well.

I stumbled on this one because Goodreads thought I might enjoy it because I'm a fan of Skip Beat!. This one is a lot shorter and while I am not loving it as much as Skip Beat! (which is my absolute favourite), I still enjoyed this simple romance story a great deal.

Kako doesn't put all that much emphasis on Hikaru being a member of the astronomy club, but her love for the sky and the stars, is a pretty important part of her and it is also one of the main reasons why she even becomes aware of the white-haired Asao-kun. He seems a bit aloof and distant at first, but the more you read, the more you understand that underneath his tough-looking skin, there's a big softy who cares a great deal for Hikaru from pretty early on.

And that's one of the main reasons I enjoyed this story so much today. I was in the mood for some light-hearted and lovely romance and I totally got it with this one. It was simple and there was almost no drama, and although I'm not as opposed to silly misunderstandings in manga as I am in other forms of fiction, I really loved the fact there was none of that in this one.

Adorable! :)

--- Love in the Sky 1-4 ---
Plot: Ok.
Gambar: Ok.
Penokohan: Ok.

....atau bagaimana sehingga saya merasa komik Love in the Sky ini biasa saja.

Tokoh oke - plot oke - epilog oke.

Kebalikan banget sama Asou. Cuman, sepertinya Asou menyimpan sesuatu rahasia yang kemungkinan berkaitan dengan masa lalu si cewek. Pertemuan mereka ternyata bukan kebetulan semata :>

Aku selaluuuuuu suka sama komik-komiknya Mitsuki Kaco; narasinya puitis dan simple. Cowok-cowoknya bertampang badboy, suka ngegodain cewek yang dia suka. Favorit!

I’m usually a sucker for these delinquent bad boy who’s secretly good shoujo romances. This one is no different. While it's nothing stand out it's got a good amount of fluffiness to it. If you enjoy standoffish male leads who secretly show or feel admiration and every once in a while drop their bad boy veneer to smile and laugh you'll love this. Although Asou is very stoic often. So stoic it's sorta hard to get invested or feel for him at times.
This is primarily a romance so a lot of the heavy carrying is on the duo's dynamics. The bad boy Asou is pretty enjoyable as a male lead. He’s standoffish and plays into his bad boy persona but has these little moments of vulnerability or showing his real feelings. Sometimes he's the bad boy who secretly shows how he cares for you in his nonverbal actions and gestures. Other times he's the straight man who laughs and calls Hikari weird. Either way he's fun to see how standoffish he is while clearly having interest in her. Hikari works as a good female lead to him. Her energetic and nosiness definitely fuels a lot of the grumpy x sunshine and nosy x standoffish moments between them (even if some are written a tad lackluster imo).
Outside of the romance we do have some developing drama with the other girl who seemingly has a past with Asou though it's hard to get a feel for what is happening there either due to the writing or the scanlation. There's also something with Hikari's memory that's built up as a cliffhanger for volume two so seemingly the drama will increase next time. I don't mind as the fluffiness was only so-so (except for the winter train scene which was spectacular).
There is some symbolism and recurring motifs which are nice. The music one is clear what with the jingle which works as an audio cue that translated really well into a non-audial form in the manga. You also got the astronomy and sky stuff which, similar to the writing with Asou's female friend, is hard to follow either due to the writing or the scanlation.
The art is solid. The romantic scenes are tight and the “money” shots of Asou lowering his walls and laughing or smiling are really effective. It’s definitely a 2000's shoujo though so if you don't like the artistic trappings of that era like got blocky lips do be warned going in.

Kicsit prózai módon most úgy választottam mangát, hogy ne legyen túl sok kötete. A Sora Log 4 kötet, tökéletes. Anime nincs belőle.

Eddig a tipikus összesűrített japán romantikus sztori zajlott le.

A leányzóink kifejezetten tetszenek.

Story 2,0/5
Charaktere 4,6/5
Zeichenstil 4,4/5
Gesamt 3,0/5

Lol, I gotta be real, Sora Log feels a bit cliché with the whole mysterious pretty boy under the stars thing. Like, yeah, it’s cute, but how many times have we seen the “blonde stranger with secrets” trope? If you’re really chasing something that keeps you hooked, dig into toon hub — free webtoons and comics online with way wilder twists. I mean, why settle for predictable when you can get stories that flip your expectations upside down?

I swear, all of these stories that start off cute and innocent decide they have to throw in as much drama that seems out of place as possible. This one's came at the very end of the first book. I still loved it, so who am I to complain too hard?

A cute story over all and it’s short, but there was nothing spectacular about it, I did read the all the manga in this series so there is that, but I did get them from the library, if I couldn’t have gotten them for free I never would have read all of them, I would have stopped after the first one.

Nic specjalnego.

This is a lovely twisty, dramatic school shoujo love story -(very dorama like in its plot) by a mangaka that I've just realised I read quite a few scanlation's of. It's not smutty, really.

I've heard that Kiss/Hug - another series of hers - has been licensed in the west. That one is stronger, I thought, than this, so I'll be buying it.

This series is short at four volumes, but you can see that the mangaka is very skilled.

I was just in the mood for a Mitsuki romance again and the reread really emphasized the deep connection between heroine and hero again - and while his background is more dramatic on the surface, she has lots of drama in her past as well AND there is more time spent on her relationships which I love. I also love, that - from what I have read of her series - there is never any question of the two people NOT loving each other. They may have misunderstandings and insecurity between themselves but NOT about potential other love interests (none of her series that I have read so far do). Here we have a brother with a sis-complex, but he actually had an understandable reason to develop it. Hikaru deals with it with a lot of patience, too ^^

Apart from the background story plot I do think that Shizuka is the one over-the-top character for the sake of complication. I guess they had to have one. Although Kiss & Hug and the other series I've read from her managed to do without an obvious antagonist character... I haven't read all her work yet, though.

Hikaru is the main character. She is a girl with a rather weak body, as she used to be in and out of the hospital when she was little. Though her body is rather weak, she is still lively and is much better than what she was. She is part of the astronomy club in her high school, and on one of the outings that they have she meets a tall guy with bleached hair and pierced ears. She later finds out that he is the rebel (?) of the school and that he has a lot of bad rumors surrounding him. Hikaru refuses to believe all of the rumors though, and tries to get closer to him. I think that this story is really beautiful. The development of the relationship between the two characters is something that seems more real to life than other mangas that I have read, and though there are parts of the story that normally would not happen, I still love reading it.

Warning
Language is a slight problem, but there is nothing that is too terrible in it.

When I started reading Sora Log, I did it with the concept of this being a Manga I hadn't read before, but as I started reading it I realized that I had. That being said, I love it.

Hikaru, who often gets lost in gazing at the sky, bumps into Asou-kun one night, a boy with white-ish blonde hair, piercing eyes, and an over-all delinquent type look you could say. And with him the sound of a soft jingling bell, the sound, Hikaru is sure, that a falling star would make if it had one. As it is a lot of bad rumors surround Asou-kun, but Hikaru can't connect them to the gentle Asou-kun that she sees.

While their growing relationship is the key factor in Sora Log, it's underlined with both Hikaru's and Asou-Kun mysterious pasts, and why Hikaru's family, her older bother Yui in particular, is so overprotective. And the thing that ties everything together is that one soft, jingling bell.

I've reread this a number of times over the last few years and it's still one of my favourite shoujo mangas. It's just so cute and sweet and perfect.
I usually hate manga heroines but Hikaru is very likable and Asou-kun is definitely among my favourite guys. I adore his personality and his looks.
And the art is just so beautiful. I love this artist.
All in all, I love everything about it.

This review is for the Italian Edition.

I love this author, and I'm usually not disappointed with her works and this is no exception.

I liked the first volume, Aso and Hikaru are nice characters and I like them both, I can't say the same for Hikaru's brother, Yui -he's a little annoying.

I still have to read the final volume of this one, I think, but to be honest, I'm not even sure. It's definitely not Kako Mitsuki's strongest work, but I like all of her stories enough to read them anyway. Arrgh. :'D Overall.. 2.5-3, I think.
