Valik Türgi lühijutte

Rate this book
Käesolev valik lühijutte kajastab saja-aastase Türgi Vabariigi saja-aastast ajalugu. See algab 20. sajandi alguse Türgi lühijutu žanri rajajatega ning lõpeb autoritega, kes on sündinud 21. sajandi viimasel veerandil. Tegemist on kirjanikega, kel on elu keerdkäikudest, tragöödiatest ja irooniatest erinev nägemus. Mõned neist vaatavad inimese sisemaailma, teised peegeldavad elu välist poolt ja kolmandad kirjeldavad elu üldiselt, kuid kõikide lood on ajaproovile vastu pidanud. Mõnes loos leiame ennast, mõnes hala ja nõutust, mõnes pisaraid, kuid neid kõiki ühendab üksildane inimene, kes ei taha olla üksi.

Raamatus on esindatud järgmised autorid: Memduh Şevket Esendal, Ömer Seyfettin, Refik Halit Karay, Sait Faik Abasıyanık, Sabahattin Ali, Ziya Osman Saba, Kemal Tahir, Orhan Kemal, Haldun Taner, Aziz Nesin, Yusuf Atılgan, Oğuz Atay, Ferit Edgü, Tomris Uyar, Murathan Mungan, Behçet Çelik, Ahmet Büke, Gamze Güller, Nilüfer Altunkaya, Nurse Banu Özyürek Ocak, Mahir Ünsal Eriş.

Diplomat and politician Esendal, who served as ambassador in Tehran, Baku and Kabul, as a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for four terms, and as Secretary General of the CHP between 1941 and 1945, was also a well-known literary figure. Although he was only seriously engaged in literature for nine years of his life (1923-1926, 1946-1952), he became an important figure in Turkish short story writing. He is the representative of situation storytelling in Turkish literature. His best known work is the novel Ayaşlı ile Kiracıları (Ayaşlı and the Tenants) published in 1934.
