I read the first two issues thinking it was completed work and now I am devastated and left with a cliffhanger.

Given that, I can't form a comprehensive opinion, but my main qualms are:

#1. The politics are a bit clunky and things should've moved at a slower pace.
#2. Needed more robot yearning and mundane scenes before the confession.
#3. Genderless robots weren't genderless enough imo. And why aren't they wearing pants.
