David Sammel is one of only 202 Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP Tour Coaches) working with professional players at the highest level of tennis and in 2023 was elected to the ATP Coaches Committee which oversees the pro tour coaches.He has coached 5 Olympians including Marcus Daniell the first tennis medalist from New Zealand in Tokyo 2020 (held in 2021 due to covid) and over two dozen players who represented their countries. 5 stars no question. David has the actual experience working with top athletes and I almost understand the pressure these top performing people feel. Having the mind set it key to go from top 1000 to top 100 and below.
Like he says, when you are competing at the top level - everyone knows how to hit a backend, is how you keep your brain in control is what gets results.
Anyone wanting to teach or play sport should read this book.

LRP is a must-read for all athletes and not only tennis players, from the young to the old and parents of aspiring young athletes. As a tennis parent, I resonated with a lot of the content in this book. The book covers areas such as Dedication, focus, ambition, hard work and how to deal with fear and stress, maximising own potentials.
A book that any athlete should read in order to better understand the mental aspect of competition and how it can help his or her performance. My full review can be read here:
