Here at last is the secret to taking off pounds and inches and keeping them off for life. Unlike popular "miracle" diet programs and products, The Dragon's Way addresses the root cause of your weight problems and offers a remarkable six-week program that shows you how to reach your optimum weight and stay there. The Dragon's Way is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theories that have been practiced for thousands of years. Today billions of people worldwide benefit from this medical system. The Dragon's Way is not about food restrictions, apetite suppression, or vigorous exercising. It's about treating the whole person instead of focusing on weight; about how to use ancient energy movements to awaken your healing ability; about showing you how to use food as a healing tool; and about helping you achieve the harmony and balance in your own body that can result in natural, healthy, permanent weight loss.
Highly recommend this book. I give copies to my patients, even skinny ones not interested in losing weight. Nan Lu is a Chinese physician who explains how stress impacts our digestion and overall health, and he explains it in easily accessible yet not watered down terms based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His program includes qigong exercises which are good, although hard to follow unless you order his DVD.
Excellent resource for diving deeper into the TCM view of excess weight. I love how TCM takes the whole into account instead of isolating various components. I have seen great progress with several issues western medicine was unable to address suitably for me. I'm excited to now explore the TCM way of addressing excess weight in comparison with the various other western methods tried previously.
Amazing book. Has changed my health and set me on a new path. I’ve always been healthy but I now can feel and understand what foods are good for me in a way I never knew.
*We don’t gain weight from the foods we eat. *
In a state of health our bodies take what they need from the foods we provide. Excess weight comes from my organs being out of harmonious relationships with each other.
There is so much wisdom in this book and the author is hopeful, enthusiastic, respectful and encouraging.
