The idea of writing lebanese history through the eyes of people who loved Ziad, and who he influenced in a way or another, is nothing short of genius.
It’s often ignored how important he is to lebanese society, how he shaped it and how we still quote his quips 40 years after he wrote them.
I seriously wish he was still around, gifting us his art and political analysis on what’s happening and where we’re heading.
I finished the book with a gaping hole in my chest the size of Pluto and a yearning to be little again and complain about his plays that were endlessly playing around the house.
