When Dahlia Wilde thinks all is lost—her stolen research, her failed relationship, and a doomed expedition—the last thing she expects is to be saved by a monster.

Her quest for a rare plant to cure a deadly disease leads her deep into the perilous Himalayan mountains. Betrayed by her fiancé and stripped of everything she fought for, she’s ready to give up. Until the Migoi, a legendary yeti, rescues her from an avalanche.

In his hidden caves, Dahlia discovers the beast she feared isn’t a mindless monster, but a fierce protector with a tragic past. As their steamy, forbidden encounters melt the ice around their frozen hearts, she begins to see a future she never dared imagine reflected in his quicksilver eyes.

But when her ex arrives, determined to steal the plant for himself, Dahlia must fight to protect the creature who saved her, and the love she never expected to find.

Told in dual POV, Winter Star is the expanded novel based on Yeti or Knot , with 50K of new content, more steam, deeper lore, and a mythic journey into what it means to be monstrous... and worthy of love.

5 stars simply is not enough for this. Easily 10 stars. This was everything I wanted in the full length version of their story, oh my god 😭

This book is a full length, dual POV expansion of the short story Yeti or Knot. If you want an amazing Yeti story in a bite size form I highly recommend that one. I read and reviewed it back in August before release and waited (not so) patiently for this and it exceed every single expectation I had and left me clutching my chest absolutely elated with happy tears crowding my vision. I am so happy 😭😭😭
My review for Yeti or Knot --> https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
If you just want the cliff notes, go there <3

I made my way back to get lost in the frost again and I am beyond happy I did. Everything I needed and wanted from this I got. My favorite quotes from the first book? There. An insight into Eryon and his views of the world, of Dahlia? There. The heartache I knew to prepare for this time but still hit my chest like a punch from someone twice my size? There. It was all there and it was PERFECT. Learning he had been watching her the whole time made my heart soar. The fated mate pull and her feeling it too? Feeling his presence in ways that we didn't know from the shorter story? My heart. I eat up fated mates and the mate bond/pull. I'll never get tired of it and I LOVE that it was incorporated more deeply into this story, into their bond.

I laughed more this time, I cried more this time, I hurt for them more this time, and I felt a stronger sense of completion at the end this time. Even knowing what was coming didn't prepare me for how much I was going to hate Ben again (literally hate him more now omg) or how bad it was going to hurt my heart to experience the clash from Eyron's point of view. Their pain was palpable and their reconnection felt like coming home and I already knew about all of it and it still felt like experiencing the story for the first time. I can't recommend it enough, I really can't. The longing, the need, the pain and hurt, the comfort, the desire and yearning, the praise and adoration. To be chosen, so fiercely, so wholly, so purposefully, so intently gahhh 😭🥰🖤

Not only is it a beautiful story it's absolutely filthy in the BEST ways 🥵 Lots of feasting by the Yeti, sensory depravation, breath play, size difference/it will fit, cum play, squirting, marking/claiming, power in a name, pain becoming pleasure, DP, cat and mouse, primal claiming, knotting, breeding (with preg in epilogue) 🥵🥵🥵 Go get lost in the frost, babes.

Grab the chai and dig in!
Yeti. Monster. Migoi. Guardian. Watchers. Bigfoot. Spirit. Legend. Abdominal snowman. Different names for the same cryptid. Powerful names for powerful creatures. Silent. Waiting. “Myths, after all, often hold a kernel of truth buried somewhere deep inside.” Names have power after all.
This book is the expanded version of Yeti or Knot. Chosen by the Yeti is the origin story of the Yeti world.
I love that we get Eryon’s point of view in this expanded version! It’s much deeper. It’s even more profound with the whole story this time around. So much more emotional. More entrancing lore. He deserves happiness.
Dahlia is on a mission for a cure, but longing for connection even more. She wants to be made whole. She wants to belong and be apart of something. She wants to be whole. The stars within the cold. She is worth fighting for.
Dahlia saw her relationship with ex-fiancé as equals. She sacrificed and helped him get his career going and on the right path. She assumed in her time of dire need, that her love would do the same for her. She couldn’t have been more wrong about Ben. It’a amazing what you notice and realize about a person once your eyes have been opened. This Sruhnar does not give up or let things break her.
Eryon is patient and protective. Dahlia is her own person. He just wants to be by her side to support her through all things. She never has to walk alone again. Protect the protector. Trust.
Both Dahlia and the Eryon have both suffered. Both experienced heart breaking loss they feel responsibility for in some form or fashion. Neither one wants history to repeat itself. They are worth saving.
Great cast of characters! I really loved Sita and hope we get to see more of her in the future. Didi needs her own time to shine. Sita is a great friend and honest woman. Her father Tenzig was so comforting. Really a beautiful family.
I loved the intersection of science and stories. “Searching for logic in lore.” Bringing together cultures. You could really immerse yourself into both worlds.
If you are a fan of monsters and lost worlds, then this is the book for you.

Suggested reading order to date:
1. Chosen by the Yeti
2. Yeti or Knot
3. Winter Star

Monster romances were never really my thing. Not for any reason though, other than the fact that I had never really read them. Yeti or Knot was one of my first real forays into the world of monster romances. And honestly, I fell in love with it. So, when I saw that Elizzabeth had decided to expand that novella into a full-length story that showed both points of view, I was beyond excited to dive in. I can say, with all that I have, that this book did not disappoint. I didn’t think I was able to enjoy the story any more than I already did, but the addition of the other point of view and all of the extra pieces that this book gave us really added to the main story. This version had everything I didn’t know that I was missing in the novella. I always loved the connection between the two main characters, but getting to see the development from both sides and getting to see more than a tiny snippet made me so much more connected to the characters. I didn’t even notice that this was longer other than noticing how much more we got of both characters because I was so entranced by this story. I fell in love with the characters all over again.

Both of these characters have so much that has happened in their lives. We saw this in Yeti or Knot. But in Winter Star, we get to feel Eryon’s pain. We get to feel his story and his emotions through his own words. But we don’t just feel his pain. We get to feel him fall for Dahlia. We get to see him watch her and feel the bond that he feels from her. I fell in love with Dahlia all over again. I hated having to feel her pain again and having to see her let down by the person that she thought she had. But I loved her getting to experience this intense connection with Eryon.

This was one of those times where I am 100% behind expanding the novella into this full length story. I didn’t think it was possible, but it only made it better. The spice is absolute perfection (as long as you love so super hot monster spice). I loved being able to feel this connection all over again and getting to see it from both sides of the coin. Yeti or Knot was great and worth the read if you don’t have the time. But if you do, Winter Star is the way the story should be told.

An absolutely captivating, icy hot masterpiece!

Winter Star by Cassandra Elizzabeth is everything you would want in a monster romance and so much more. I’m usually not one to love monster romance but have really enjoyed reading all of Cassandra’s Yeti series. From the first page, I was pulled straight into Dahlia Wilde’s world. Her heartbreak, her desperation, and ultimately her breathtaking, unexpected journey into the Himalayas. The writing is immersive and cinematic; I could feel the cold, the danger, and the weight of everything she’s lost.

And then comes Migoi.

Cassandra brings this legendary yeti to life with stunning emotional depth. He’s not just a “monster” he’s wounded, protective, honorable, and impossibly magnetic. Their chemistry is intense, their connection tender and beautifully built, and their steamy moments? Let’s just say the pages practically melt faster than a glacier in sunlight.

What truly sets this book apart is the blend of adventure, mythology, and raw emotion. The hidden caves, the tragic secrets, the looming threat of Dahlia’s treacherous ex, it all comes together in a way that keeps you glued to the story. The dual POV adds richness and insight, especially into Migoi’s haunting past.

As an expanded version of Yeti or Knot, Winter Star feels like the definitive edition, more lore, more heat, more heart. The worldbuilding is lush, the pacing perfect, and the romance unforgettable.

If you love monster romance with depth, danger, and a fiercely earned HEA, Winter Star will sweep you off your feet and straight into the frost.

I adored every moment. Highly, highly recommend!

3.5⭐️ rounded up

Winter Star genuinely surprised me. I went in fully expecting a cute but spicy Yeti romance, but what I got was a much heavier, more emotional story. Alongside the romance, this book tackles some tough topics, including terminal illness, parent loss, infant loss, and a truly scummy, narcissistic ex. It was a lot, but it also gave the story real weight.

At the center of it all is Dahlia. Watching her navigate grief, betrayal, and fear while slowly finding her own strength was one of the strongest parts of the book. Her growth felt raw and hard-earned, especially as she learns to stand up for herself.

The romance balances emotion with a good bit of spice, and I liked how Eryon was written as a fierce protector with his own tragic past rather than just a “monster” trope. Their connection felt healing in many ways, even as the story explores some darker topics. The dual POV helped deepen that emotional impact.

That said, the sheer number of heavy themes sometimes felt overwhelming, and the pacing wobbled a bit for me. Still, if you’re open to a monster romance that goes far beyond what the cover suggests and aren’t afraid of emotionally intense content, this one might surprise you too.

Ok hear me out... I originally read Yeti or Not.. not realizing that there was a full length novel of this amazing couple.
SO I immediately started this book after finishing the other.
And let me tell you what...did it bring tears to my eyes? Yes, yes it did.
These characters seriously have my heart.
To get a second glimpse at their story and have Eryon's POV...it was absolutely amazing!
I already loved this couple but all the extra little details and insights was incredible.
And the epilogue... oh my heart be still it was everything I was ever hoping for.
For these two to find their HEA and their little family... literal tears.
Dalhia is one of the fiercest FMCs, she’s smart and despite everything she has endured she’s still fighting for herself and others.
Eryon is seriously top notch Yeti book boyfriend.
If you love monster romance, fated mates, when you're monsters claim you and say "mine", and they are hopelessly devoted and protect their mate, then this book is a must read!

3.5/5🌟
3.5🌶️

- Such a fun and unique twist on monster romance. It's the perfect winter read because who doesn't want to cuddle up with an 8 foot yeti?!
- All of my green flag tropes: 30+ year old FMC in STEM, possessive and protective MMC, who hurt you, fated mates, size difference, primal play.
- I appreciated that both Dahlia and Eryon have their own harrowing history. I felt deeply for both of them. It just made the ending that much sweeter.

- The biggest thing that prevented me from rating this higher was the writing style. I'm not sure why it just didn't click with me.
- I wish Dahlia and Eryon got to know each other better prior to intimacy. I understand why things unfolded the way they did but I'm just not a huge fan of misunderstanding motivations between mates.
- I would've loved a more even pacing or interspersing the 🌶️ more within the story line.

I absolutely loved this full-length version of Dahlia and Eryon’s incredible PNR story. I loved the novella, but getting more depth, more romance, and more spice, had me falling back in love with these incredible characters.

The imagery is imaginative and creative; the characters are more fleshed out and the worldbuilding was exceptional. I was pulled into the story right from the very start and did not want to look away.

The more detailed storyline is filled with further emotional turmoil, drama, danger, passion and more of this incredible and undeniable love between two beautiful souls.

This was a beautiful, passionate, heartbreaking, healing and spicy story that once again grabbed my attention, had me on the edge of my seat, and made me laugh, cry and gush with love.

Loved it!

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I would have opted for a slightly different ending. Although I understood the point based on the past with the plant. The FMC was ex ready to repeat history. I have to be honest and say it felt selfish to not share it with humanity. The FMC mentions having a rare disorder that the plant can cure and wanted to help people. However because of the past and the asshole ex it doesn’t happen. She ends up with the yeti who hoards the plant to keep her healthy and that’s that. I think I would have preferred the FMC getting a cutting of the plant in safe hands to continue her research and help people than it just only being used on her. It felt like it should have been a middle ground in there.

I loved this spicy yeti romance too much! Cassandra elevates this genre with beautiful descriptive language that feels very immersive and characters that feel complex and well fleshed out. You will not find typos here. 🙌🏻 You will find frequent top tier make you blush spice. 🍆👀 I wondered if having read the novella, Yeti or Knot, would make this redundant but it definitely didn't. I loved the dual POV, the additional friendship with Sita. If you dig a spicy monster romance this is a no brainer. But if you are a romance reader who isnt sure about monsters, this is a good one to get into. I have enjoyed being on her ARC team for her last few projects so much!

After losing her mother to the same genetic problem that Dahlia has she goes in search of the possible cure. She hopes that the legends are true. That the cure a beautiful star shaped flower could be hiding in the mountains. Hiding just as easily as the people believe the Migoi does.

Eryon decided long ago that he never wanted to mate again felt his hopes and dreams should be buried. Why has he been watching her for months then? He's only been watching her and she's already made his heart roar back to life.

I really enjoyed this longer version of the novel before this there is much more detail and love the dual pov.

I was hoping this paranormal monster romance book would be one of my favorites especially since the cover is so pretty, but the first 1/3 of the book the slow burn was killing me (started reading Feb 8 and finally finished Feb 24!). Majority of the time I'm okay with slow burns if it's written well. The author's writing style was a bit too repetitive for my taste. I consciously kept saying as I was reading, "Okay we get it!" However, I did appreciate the sad back story of Eryon and Dahlia so overall the book was alright. I do plan to read the shorter version Yeti or Knot maybe in December this year to compare which version is the better one.

Eryon and Dahlia are seriously my favorite! The way he falls for her and the spice and story line extended from yeti or knot. The size difference the worshiping shewwwwwwww had me hooked!

The story we didn’t know we needed! Dahlia in search for a rare plant to cure a disease, betrayal of her ex fiancé and the love she grew for a monster!

Yeti Season is here and I am not mad. I absolutely love that Dahlia is in the STEM field. She also definitely has some amazing character growth throughout the novel. And our Yeti MMC... lord have mercy. He is possessive, protective and has a wicked, dirty mouth. This story is so well written and I could not put it down. I also love how the local culture plays a big part of the book. It truly helps set the story and give a good visual of the place and native people. A If you are in your Monster Romance era or want to be then this is the book for you.

If you loved Yeti or Knot, then you are going to be absolutely enthralled with Winter Star. This is the expanded, full length novel to Yeti or Knot and it is everything and more that you were missing from the little novella.

The emotions in this one were so gripping and pulled you into the story so much! It made it feel like you were right there alongside them, watching it play out like a movie.

Cassandra has such an incredible way of writing to where it is a moving picture while reading and that's one of my most favorite things ever!

I loved these two sooo much!!!

Words cannot describe how much I love this story. I LOVED yeti or Knot and I was so excited to hear that it was getting a full length novel. I loved getting to dive into their story even more and the spice…good lord the spice. This has got to be hands down one of my favorite “monster” romances. Eryon is literally the man we all want in life (thank goodness I have mine already) but one can still dream about monsters right? I would highly recommend this if you love dreamy, strong, loving, and protective men.

When I read Yeti or Knot I fell in love with these characters and was so sad that it wasn’t a full length novel. Then I found out about Winter Star and was so amped to get more!

To learn more about both of these complex characters and have more of their relationship? It was everything I wanted and more.

This book had heart, spice and all the worship! This was one of my top reads this year and I wish there was going to be a second one.

“No one will harm her again. No one will take her from me. Not now. Not ever. I swear it to the river, the wind, and the mountain itself.” Aah Eryon.

A spicy Yeti romance with drama galore!

I do wish I’d not read the novella of this first and so close together as I did struggle with feeling I was re reading so couldn’t fully engage and had to push through which is a disservice to Cassandra. This did expand on their feelings more though and the connection was a lot deeper.

I loved the expanded ending though! So cute!

This is a fab monster romance that is so sweet and hot ;P The world building was clear, the characters fascinating with past traumas and the spice was beyond spicing. Dahlia really needed the love and devotion that Eryon gave her, after the mess with her ex, and I love that he was all-in, right from the beginning. I really enjoyed this expanded version of Yeti or Knot and can't wait for more Yeti goodness by this author. Definitely recommend!

After reading Yeti or Knot, I was so excited to hear that this book was going to be an extended version. This book went above and beyond my expectations and I loved every second of it! I loved the dual POV and it was great getting Eryon's view! Dahlia is such a strong character and I love how she grows throughout the story. I will forever hate Ben and even more so now with this book.  I highly recommend this book!

I loved this book. It is a continuation/full length of the novella Yeti or Knot. When reading the novella my only wish had been that it was longer with more interaction between characters. And I got my wish!!!

The exchanges between the two are great. And of course the steam is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.

This is not cozy per se but if you’re looking for hurt/comfort with a little redemption thrown in, I highly recommend this one.

I adored this spicy yeti romance far more than I expected. Cassandra elevates the monster-romance genre with lush, immersive prose and characters who feel genuinely complex and fully realized. Not a typo in sight—just frequent, top-tier, make-you-blush spice.

I wondered whether reading the novella Yeti or Knot beforehand would make this feel repetitive, but it absolutely didn’t. The dual POV adds depth, and the expanded cast—especially the friendship with Sita—enriches the story in all the right ways.

If you love monster romance, this one is an easy must-read. And if you’re a romance reader who’s unsure about diving into monster territory, this is a fantastic place to start.

This was such a sweet and steamy read. One character in particular I wanted to punch in the face but the rest were so well developed. For those who love a size difference and stretching, this one's for you. This is an expanded version of a short story yeti or knot and im so glad I got to experience more of this story. It made the relationship build so much better and emotional.

If you read Yeti or Knot, you know a small bit of the story. But with Winter Star there is more, so much more!

I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Dahlia and our beloved Yeti. I loved the dual POV. Getting to see things through the Migoi's eyes and learn more about him was refreshing.

I still love the dynamic between Dahlia and the Migoi, I'm glad that that didn't falter or change. I also LOVED getting to see more of Dahlia and Sita! I adore the friendship that grew between them in Yeti or Knot, and I'm so glad that it was explored a little more in Winter Star.

A great, steamy, monster romance, Winter Star is perfect for those who want a Yeti daddy this winter! ❄️
