Scorpio, Dark Sky is a deeply touching and intensely passionate tale of reclaiming a love that never died. The story centers around returning to one’s first love as a last ditch effort to reclaim a life that should have been. What an astoundingly beautiful journey we are privileged to behold as it unfolds before our eyes! I simply couldn’t get enough of the promise of hope and unspoken potential that penetrated and surrounded this amazing story! It had my head spinning and my heart singing the entire time.
Severin has lived through a dark past marred by secrets and pain. Just when he begins to open his heart to a sweet girl, he is forced away and loses himself in another world even darker than the one he left. With nothing left to lose, he decides to go home, and take one last chance on cleansing his soul of the blackness of his past while discovering if his one possibility of love is still within his reach. To say that Avery is excited to see Severin would be a devastating understatement. She has waited for too long to show him the love she desperately wants to give him, and nothing will stand in her way this time. I loved getting to read Severin and Avery's story. Severin left for the Navy and Avery fell into a bad relationship. Both are back home and Avery's brother Ramon plays a sneak attack on getting them together by sending Severin out to pick up Avery when her car breaks down. The sparks flew from the first meeting. Avery still has to deal with her pushy ex-boyfriend trying to get her back and Severin has some issues from his past that make him uncertain of his future but once they both decide that together is the right choice it was fabulous to read their connection. Avery is just the perfect caring and kind match for Severin who has never had that with anyone, including his parents. I really loved the story and will look for more books by the author in the future.

Severin is the sweetest man, “I said I was tired, not dead.” Skimming his hand along her waist, he paused to caress her hip. “How could I ignore all this? You feel heavenly.” Sometimes a girl has to get bossy towards her man, "she tossed the condoms to him. “Then put on one of these bad boys and get moving.” I liked this book I really fell in love with Severin.

Pretty Decent
I liked this book it won't be a top ten but it was a good book none-the-less. A heart warming story that had you guessing what the secret was that this young man held but for me the storyline needed a little more of a push. I gave it four stars because it was a pretty decent storyline it just for me wasn't filling.
I would recommend this book just to see if any of my fellow Goodreads family felt the same way.
I liked this book it won't be a top ten but it was a good book none-the-less. Severin Ortega was Avery’s secret beloved when he left for the Navy eight years ago. They were neighbors, her brother’s best friend, almost family but she never stopped thinking about him and what might have been. Now, she had finished with her boyfriend and was relieved to be rid of him because it was an unhealthy relationship and Severin was back, divorced and alone. It was strange that her brother didn’t tell her that Severin had returned from the Navy. Severin was everything she remembered and more. He had changed but she would not miss a second chance with Severin. She felt that the flame was there. Her body was reacting to him. Severin had doubts about Avery and her ex, Jeremy. His own experience with his ex-wife Beth was an example. He was trapped in a sick relationship too and now felt broken. Maybe Avery wasn’t ready for a relationship with him? There were other thing, secrets that haunted him but he was not the only culprit. He can’t change what happened with his father. Could he trust himself? And what about Ramon? He seems a bit selfish. The characters, Avery and Severin, were trying to cope with their mixed emotions. Both had bad relations that questioned their confidence and self-esteem and now there was the opportunity to leave all this behind and begin again as a couple that support each other. The love was there as strong as before. They only needed to make it happen. The story flowed at a good pace. The way the author described Avery and Severin made me visualize the struggle that both characters had to deal with realities. The narrations were to the point blending each one without too much drama. Simple but felt real. Liked the author writing style, the plot and development of the story and this Scorpion.

I’m going to love you the way you deserve to be loved. Oh my! What a beautiful story! I loved the flow of it, with the humor, secrets, and so much love! I found Avery to be such an intriguing character. It was hard to pin her down, but I loved how she got something into her mind and she did what she could to make it happen. Once she decided to move forward, she did, when she wanted Severin, she set out to make it happen. One of those girls I always wished I could be! So much heartache it was almost hard to read! I get so consumed by the books I read, paired with Katalina's amazing writing, well, it was hard to NOT connect with the characters, to live their painful pasts, feel for & with them! Of course, the reward was a sweet, beautiful, heartfelt romance that was a long time coming! I think they both needed to live their lives, find out who they were meant to be when they grew up, so to speak, because it... AAARRGGH! I CAN'T SAY!! It would give too much away! Trust that this is a great story with lots packed into it making it on fantabulous story!! For anyone who knows me, knows that I love paranormal, fantasy & sci-fi books and pretty much limit my reading to those. However with Katalina's phenomenal talent, her magical writing combined with her genuine gift & love for her characters, their worlds, her stories and her readers, I was hooked from the start and kept on reading until I was done! It is quite delightful to discover another one of these gorgeous men that would tempt even the most shy. In this one this author gives you one dark and delicious man that ever since she was younger and her brother's best friend has been drawn too. Having had one memorable evening before he left he would never been forgotten. Now years later Avery is grown and needs a tow and her sneaky brother sends just the right tow and driver to pick her up-Severin. Having suffered many things from the night just before he left and thru the course of time he is now trying to heal following a different path. This author gives you their re connection with the chemistry that builds between them to make for one explosive coming together. Also this is one that can be quickly devoured but satisfies the need for romance. Also when you dive inside find out what she means by her title that would make a heart swoon.

I read this book as part of the boxed set Star Crossed, which I received an ARC copy of in exchange for my honest review.
I thought this book was really cute. It was also a pretty quick read - it seemed to fly by for me. The main characters are Avery and Severin. Severin left years ago to join the military and is finally home. Avery has held a candle for Severin since she was a teen, little did she know that the feeling was reciprocal. With Severin home, he and Avery finally get to explore a possible future together. While some of Severin's (and Ramon's, Severin's best friend and Avery's older brother) come to light, the couple still manages to find their HEA ending. There is no cliffhanger.

Avery Vaylé has been I love with Severin Ortega since she was 16 , but he left and joined the navy and his widowed mother also left around the same time so they lost touch over the years. Severin is now back in Avery's hometown unknown to Avery and so is she, Severin has been through a messy divorce and Avery is getting out of a bad relationship. Avery is having car trouble and her brother Ramon sends out a tow truck not telling Avery who is coming . When Avery sees Severin the feelings she had come back , but Severin has something dark in his past, will they be able to overcome It ? And why does Ramon know what it is ? I have to say i love the way this story was written.
Fast paced with a nice love story that we saw it bloom and grow and finally coming together .
Also the small twists and turns were really amazing and the characters are really well written...you can laugh with them and also see how damaged each one is and about their dark pasts and their flaws and mistakes.
A trully well written story though i found the ending to be abrupt still its a story i totally recomment and say its well fit in the series!!!!

I was gifted this book as an ARC by the author. I have read the rest of the tempting signs series and this one followed the rest of the series. The book is well written with a little bit of mystery. The characters have secrets that could ruin the relationship that they are trying to build and that little bit of mystery just adds to the storyline. Overall it held my attention from start to finish and I enjoyed reading it.

Romance at its best, a sky full of stars and promises mixed together with a lifetime of dark secrets and lost chances.But when everything finally clicks, they can't ignore it any longer. Scorching heat between them as they are re-ignited.

Scorpio: Dark troubled past and a bright amazing future.
Severin has a dark past and a lot of demons that shadow his every thought and dream. His only bright star has been Avery she is his reason for everything. He strives to be the man she deserves and she is absolutely the woman he needs.
