It was pegged as age gap, Billionaire Romance, which… it was. Our FMC’s brother gets into trouble with the Bratva, so she goes to her boss for help. He’s not Bratva, per se, but more of an intermediary. Dude never kills anyone.

I just felt meh about it. He was all cinnamon roll for her. Maybe I wanted him to be a bit more aggressive but they were wanting each other from the get go. Kinda boring for me, but maybe it’ll be up someone else’s alley! The writing is a bit clunky, too.

Dual POV, HEA, curvy FMC, contractual marriage.

Anatoly Ovechkin can't say he had not been watching Taylor, she did her job and her beauty captured his interest but he never acted on it. When Taylor approaches him though needing help with her wayward brother, the timing couldn't be better. Anatoly needs a wife as a condition of maintaining his role as head of the Russian mafia. Can the two opposites grow into something more than just arrangement?

Another great read from this author. Terrific chemistry between the two and a couple twists I was not expecting.

I really liked this book. I knew from the blurb I would but sometimes a romance like this can be a little cringe but I thought it worked really well. I liked the aspect of Taylor still working and keeping her job under Anatoly even with their circumstances. It created some fun drama. The brother... he could leave (obviously he was needed for the story but also fuck him) this was literally binge read on a Saturday and I just loved it.

He tells her to marry him or bury her brother. She didn't had any choice but to agree to his condition. He promised her ten million dollars a year but he also wanted a heir. He slip his ring on her finger and they started their marriage. It quickly turned into more real than convenience as they started to falling for each other and he became jealous, and overprotective of her and will do anything for her. But there's trouble all around them with betrayals, double-cross, treachery, backstabbing and more and the Don will rise up to the occasion and deal with the problem.
These two chemistry were off the charts hot.

Real Love Changed Everything -
Taylor knew the only person who would be able to help her resolve the situation she found herself in was Anatoly, but she never expected his agreement came with added conditions. Anatoly’s life had always been about work, so he wasn’t happy about what he had to do to resolve the issue pertaining to the clause in his father’s will, but everything changed after Taylor sought him out for help. The agreement between Anatoly and Taylor was meant to be on a temporary basis, but their feelings for each other grew stronger the more time they spent together.

The dynamics of Anatoly and Taylor’s relationship changed as it turned from fake to real, but their new lease on a happy life kept being disrupted with chaos and family drama. Unfortunately, just as Anatoly and Taylor weathered the storm together and tried to get back to their lives, her brother revealed a piece of information she had kept from Anatoly before she could tell him. Even though Anatoly was initially upset when he found out, he didn’t realise Taylor had good news for him, as fate had other plans in store for her life and had granted her a miracle.

Nevertheless, just as Anatoly and Taylor were celebrating their life changing news, their happiness was short lived, as a phone call forced them into a dangerous situation that nearly cost them their lives. Luckily, Anatoly and Taylor were able to get out safely and once everything was resolved, they finally got to live the happy life they had fought for with all their supportive friends.

K. C. Crowne had done it again with this fantastic must read story filled with family drama, betrayal, anxiety, violence and steamy encounters, combined together with a few twists, that kept me at the edge of my seat and on tenterhooks. This mesmerising tale was explosive from the start and kept me eagerly turning the pages until the end.

what a wonderfully well written and thrilling story. anatoly a russian mafia needs a temporary wife in order to keep his inheritance from his parents will but doesn't want one so does everything possible to break the clause. without success. taylor is a broke asst manager at the hotel casino that anatoly owns who's drug addicted brother is constantly getting into trouble and she has to bail him out. this time its a lot of money to the bratva so she turns to anatyoly for help. he sees an opportunity so pushes her for a marriage of convenience for one year to fulfil the will in return for paying off her brothers debt and keeping him alive. the story tells of how things work out after the marriage happens, how both start to develop feelings very quickly for each other, but secrets are being kept on both sides that may blow everything apart, and of course her brother just can't keep himself out of trouble. family betrayal hits hard and surprises happen. danger is everywhere. can taylor and anatoly find their way to real love and happiness together? can the secrets be exposed before their world implodes and can they discover who is betraying who in time to save themselves and others? I like that feelings developed quite quickly in this story and then the plot developed around those with the outside forces. i thought the two main characters were believable and well developed with real hurts, insecurities, strengths, fears, desires and more that were true to life. the world building was quite good around the hotel setting with really the mafia life very much in the background instead of center stage. well done a joy to read.

You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Taylor, a curvy girl, worked hard to become an assistant manager with the Hospitium Casino, Hotel in Las Vegas with a brother who attracts a type of trouble dragging her along with him to get him out of trouble, but he has pushed her to her limit and that action caused a shift in her path that she wouldn’t have ever imagined. Anatoly sexy as all get out owner of the Hospitium Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas bratva isn’t a man you want on your radar, is dangerous, ruthless on a good, deadly every day, his parents left it to him however, he can only own it completely when the terms that his parents have stipulated have been met otherwise he wouldn’t inherit the casino so that meant he had to marry by a certain time and that leaves him in a situation until an answer presents itself. The magnetic pull between his manager and himself was always there but they both remained professional, him being the owner and him being bratva so when she comes to him with a problem one that he can fix with brother and she can be the wife he needs to gain his inheritance a contract is written but what happens things begin to become real, feelings, protection, him willing to do what needs to be for his wife, her willing to do what needs to be done for her husband, will they see they are stronger together, and have they found their happiness despite their start?

I feel like I may be the odd one out here, but this is awful. I DNF'd at 19%. My parents didn't raise a quitter, but I just can't with this one.

The first chapter made me feel like I was dropped in the middle of an on-going story. The second chapter felt like it should have been the first chapter. During the conversation between the MMC and his brother in the second chapter, the MMC did not react the way I thought I would based on the MMC and FMC's interactions during the first chapter. It's like it never even happened and the MMC conveniently forgot he reacted that way. It's not until the fifth chapter that an inkling of those feelings are mentioned.

I had the worst time trying to get into the rhythm of the story. I felt like I was constantly fighting through a fog that just wouldn't clear, and what I was reading wasn't worth the energy. I was exhausted by the time I quit. Reading should be fun, not a chore.

The nail in the coffin for me came in the middle of chapter five. The FMC tries to speak with the MMC unprompted at their office. When he overhears his secretary block her and threaten her job by having security escort her out, his reaction is, "A bit of concern sparks in my chest; this is something serious. Ms. Jenson has just been told her job is on the line." Are you not the boss, my guy? Can't you just command her job be protected? Why are we so afraid of this outcome? I don't know why this was such a sticking point for me, but I knew right then I wouldn't be finishing this book.

Anyway, I wanted to add my two cents. Come at me if you must, but I don't understand why this has so many high reviews.

5 STARS — A Silver Fox Mafia Romance I Couldn’t Put Down

Under His Control (Silver Fox Daddies) swept me away from the very first page. Anatoly — the powerful, enigmatic head of the Vegas mafia family and owner of the exclusive Hospitium casino — is the kind of silver fox hero you fall for instantly. Stoic, commanding, and quietly aching for something real. And that “something real” turns out to be Taylor.

Taylor, the front-desk manager he’s been watching (and hopelessly admiring) for over a year, is everything a heroine should be: loyal, strong, curvy, and carrying more weight on her shoulders than anyone realizes. Her troubled brother keeps pulling her into his messes, and every time she tries to save him, she loses a piece of herself — until Anatoly steps in.

Their chemistry is magnetic from the start, but the stakes skyrocket when Anatoly is told he must marry and produce an heir or lose the Hospitium entirely. What starts as obligation quickly becomes something fierce and tender. Their romance is deliciously emotional, beautifully written, and full of slow-burn tension that had me glued to every page.

I loved watching them fall in love, fight for each other, and ultimately build a family — including Taylor’s brother, who finally gets his second chance. The ending is a perfect HEA, exactly the kind you want in a silver fox mafia romance.

K.C. Crowne is truly one of the best writers I’ve come across. If you love protective older heroes, strong curvy heroines, mafia stakes, and swoon-worthy emotional payoff, Under His Control is a must-read.

KC Crowne did it again. Another amazing mafia story with all the good and bad and spicy you could want in a neat little package.

This is Under His Control and age gap billionaire boss romance. It’s a little mafia, very little, like hinted at but with murder and betrayal thrown in. But it’s all dark and spicy, just what my little heart needed.

Welcome to Hospitium, a hotel and casino on the Las Vegas strip. Owned by none other than Anatoly Ovechkin. He is the big bad morally gray hottie that you want but only in your fantasies because he is every bit as dangerous as he is sexy. He runs the hotel and casino with a calm demeanor and an iron fist.

Anatoly is under pressure from the lawyers who over see his late father’s will. In order to keep the hotel and casino he has dedicated his life to he must marriage and produce an heir. Within 10 days because he has dragged his feet.

Taylor Jensen is the Assistant Manager at Hospitium and has worked hard to get where she is. When her younger brother Chris gets into trouble with the Bratva she does the only thing she can think of. She goes to Anatoly to ask for help.

This book has a little bit of everything, danger, mafia men, family betrayal on both sides which was a new twist, murder, revenge, love and tons of spice.

I highly recommend anything by KC Crowne and if you haven’t read any of these books yet, RUN and go grab it. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Taylor is the assistant manager at the Vegas casino Hospitium, owned and run by Anatoly Ovechkin. Taylor is horrified when her brother Chris calls her for help. He owes the Bratva $70k, and he needs the money now or they will get rid of him. Taylor is unsure what to do since she doesn't have that kind of money. The only way she can get that sort of money is if she asks her boss Anatoly, for a loan to pay Chris's debt. Taylor's request comes at the right time to help solve his own problem. He has less than a year to keep the casino under the terms of his parents' will. He needs to get married and produce an heir. It also helps that he has admired Taylor from afar. Plans are put in motion to fix Chris's Bratva debt and the impending nuptials. What starts as a marriage of convenience blossoms into something more when they discover they are meant for each other. But other forces are at work to try to bring them down and stop Anatoly from fulfilling the terms of his parents' will.

‘Under His Control” was a very well written, engaging, and gripping story of two people who needed something from the other and found love in the process. Anatoly owned the Hospitium casino and hotel in Las Vegas where Taylor was an assistant manager. Her younger brother Chris has always been protected by her, but this last time really pushed her limit. He owed substantial money he borrowed to the bratva, and they are threatening to kill him. She goes to Anatoly to ask for help.

Anatoly had his own problem when the terms of his parents’ will stipulate that he had one year to marry and produce an heir or he wouldn’t inherit the casino. This was a perfect solution, a win-win, where he would marry Taylor and he would get rid of her brother’s problem with the bratva.

Of course there were problems. Anatoly’s brother was a major protagonist in the story, as was Chriss, until he finally got his act together, with help from Anatoly. Anatoly and Taylor's story was a sweet, fast read! This has some humor, spice and drama (light).

Anatoly is the owner of a nice hotel/casino in Las Vegas. Taylor works for him. His brother Damas drops the news that the due date for their parents will for Anatoly to marry and have an heir has moved up and he has 10 days to make it happen. He's already had contact with Taylor and finds her intriguing and when she comes to him for help with saving her brother, Chris, from the Bratva he has his bride if/when she agrees to his terms. Taylor finds her boss incredibly hot and thinks of him in all the spicy smutty ways, she's just not sure if she wants to go this far to help an ungrateful brother. Obviously she does otherwise this wouldn't be a book.

So much goes into this and there are some twists. The banter in this book is great! Anatoly is sweet and amazing but only to those in his trusted small circle. To everyone else, not so much. Taylor is strong and guarded except with Anatoly. They make a great couple but go through a few things. It's a really good, almost really sweet story and I enjoyed the read.

Both main characters have a bit of family problems:
Taylor’s younger brother again has troubles, this time he owes 70 grand to the Smirnoff Bratva and Taylor needs a plan to get him out of this bind, otherwise Chris’ life is on the line.
Anatoly, almost-owner of the Hospitium Casino in Vegas needs to marry and have an heir pronto, otherwise he’ll lose his heritage.
Guess what! Taylor who is working at the Hospitium as Assistant Manager approaches Anatoly for a loan, he offers her to pay off her brother’s debt and keep him save when she marries him … for a year to meet the requirements so he can officially inherit the Hospitium.
IF only there weren’t Anatoly’s brother’s plans to torpedo the heritage …
I found this story a bit flat and foreseeable, mind you - the sex scenes are white hot … so all in all 3,5 stars from me.

Suspense, back-stabbing, finding true love, passion, and a world above the glimmering lights. I was actually quite surprised at how low key Anatoly is. As owner of a very successful hotel in Vegas and the Bratva heir, other than meetings with other heads of family and the confrontation in the lobby of his office, he wasn’t deeply involved in shady activity. I found Taylor to be sweet, and willing sacrifice to save the only family she has left, and yes Chris acts spoiled and a total duche, so it is a good thing he find redemption. I felt off with Damas almost from the start, he seems so helpful, wanting to see the legacy continue, although the signs are there. I crushed on the growing relationship between Anatoly and Taylor, I never got the Daddy vibes between them, but real commitment and complete devotion, so glad they got their happily ever after.

A will and a family brings true love, an heir with a happily ever after.

Anatoly and Taylor found there happily ever after all because he needed a wife and heir to finally receive his inheritance. Taylor younger brother was always getting into trouble and had to find ways to bail him out. His latest disaster was stealing from the Bratva. Anatoly already had desires to be with Taylor and when she came for help for her brother, he jumped at the idea to propose a contract marriage that was for one year. His brother Damas betrayal caused them to confess their love for each other. She has just gotten the news she was pregnant after being told she would never have children. Her brother betrayal almost got him killed but it made him grow up and finally be a man she knew he could be. Good story because love won out over the betrayal. I enjoy reading all K.C. Crowne books, they never disappoint.

liked but didn’t love, i think it was more of a 3.5 for me but rounding up.

Taylor’s brother, Chris gets into trouble with the Bratva.. $70k worth of trouble and calls Taylor in distraught. Miss girl doesn’t even make $70k in a year and has no idea how to help her bother. Turns out her boss, Anatoly, has tie to the Bratva through the hotel he owns. Not knowing where else to turn, she asks him for help.

Anatoly needs to marry and produce an heir in order to fully inherit the hotel he’s spent his whole life building but he has zero prospects that he can actually stand. He’s always been intrigued by Taylor so when she comes to him for help, he gives her a deal. Marry him and he’ll pay off her brother’s debt…but he never mentioned an heir and that’s the one thing Taylor may never be able to give him..

It'll pull you in quickly and hold you in place easily until the very end. This couple is smoldering hot together, the chemistry between them so palpable you can feel it through the pages. Under His Control is definitely a must read!

Wow…just wow!!! (Just gonna wipe this drool up…🤭🥰🔥)

This book….THIS book….this BOOK!!!!!! Gahhhhh!!!!! It was absolutely perfect!!!! Delectably sexy and intense!!! From the first page you could tell Taylor was a curvy take-no-prisoners I’m-here-with-my-curves-and-I’m-not-gonna-take-any-shit QUEEN!!!!!

I was a little nervous when I got down to reading it because the title “Under His Control” And the description made it sound like it could be kind of dark, like Anatoly might be VERY controlling, I was worried he would be too cold…now I don’t want to ruin any surprises…but let me just say my concerns were unfounded… while there is definitely tension and suspense, there is also HEAT…and a very satisfying HEA🤗🤗🤗.

Taylor has worked her way up to assistant manager of Hospitium, a casino and hotel owned by Anatoly Ovechkin. When her brother owes a lot of money to the Bratva, Anatoly is the only person she can turn to. Anatoly has problems of his own, his parents left a clause in their will, he needs to be married and expecting an heir shortly.

He tells Taylor he will pay off her brothers debit if she marries him. Both have secrets they are not divulging that could impact their marriage and Anatoly's inheritance. There are also more sinister things at play, Anatoly will need to unravel it in order to protect his new bride.

There is a lot of drama, action and steam, both character had fanaticized about the other before marriage. This is not a marriage in name only.

Taylor is between a rock and a hard place and her brother is the one that has put her there. It also puts her further on her boss's radar when she goes to ask for his help out of a difficult situation. Anatoly has to find someone to marry so that he can keep the business that he has helped expand and make way bigger than his dad had done. He has to marry and produce a heir. With Taylor walking in and asking for his help she has literally handed him a solution to his problem as well the means that he can get much closer to her then just staring at her from across the room. This was well-written with a twist on the end as well I love how all these separate pieces all come together to make a very interesting story full of chemisty, love and laughter.

A perfect opportunity has now presented itself, he needs to meet his parents will stipulation to marry or lose his estate, besides he also wants an heir.
They can both seal a deal that benefits them both.
Under His Control soon becomes a very engaging age-gap romance with plenty of drama, passion, mafia intrigue, danger, and family dynamics.
The simmering heat between Anatoly and Taylor bodes well for the fiery romance about to explode across the pages of this nicely written story that immerses you in a very captivating read.

Taylor works hard as am assistant manager for Hospitium Casino owned by the handsome Russian Anatoly Ovechkin. When Taylor’s brother runs afoul of the Bratva, Taylor goes to Anatoly for help giving Anatoly the perfect opportunity to get closer to her by suggesting a contract marriage that would clear her brother’s debts and fulfill a condition of his parents’ inheritance that would allow him to keep the casino he calls his home. But there are secrets on both sides of the family that can derail the growing bond between Taylor and Anatoly and when faced with this danger, all bets are off. I could not put down this book for the intrigue and passion that blew up these pages.

These two were never supposed to work out. For one, he's a billionaire, and for two, he's also the owner of the casino/hotel where she works. There's twists and turns with danger all around them, trying to prevent the HEA they both want.

Taylor's brother is a screw up that owes the mob money for the drugs he took, and being a good older sister, she wants to help him.
So the proposal is for one year of marriage, so Anatoly can keep his empire, and he will help out her brother but didn't tell her about the heir clause. There is danger from the mob, his own brother wanting to take him down, but they didn't count on Taylor's brother, helping them harm them as well.

This book was everything I wanted in a dark, steamy boss romance. The tension between the characters had me hooked right away and the mix of danger, obsession, and forbidden attraction kept me glued to the pages. Anatoly is broody, powerful, and completely over the top in his protectiveness, while the heroine brings the perfect balance of vulnerability and strength.

It is a fast paced, spicy read with just the right amount of suspense to keep the story moving. If you enjoy age gap, billionaire boss romances with that touch of mafia darkness, this one will hit the spot. I devoured it in one sitting and loved every second of it.

This book is about a hard working young lady who would do anything to take care of her brother. So when he calls and tells her he is in big trouble with the Bratva she knows the only one who might help her is her billionaire Boss.
And the Billionaire owner of a hotel and casino in Vegas needs to get married and have an heir or he will lose the hotel. So when he is approached by his assistant manager for a loan he realizes that he could get her to marry him and save his hotel. But he doesn't tell her about the heir part until after the wedding.
Great characters. You have the Bratva, the hotel owner and his brother and the young lady and her brother.
