The Glass House grabbed me in a way I didn’t expect. From the very first chapter, I felt like I was stepping into a place where every polished surface was hiding a crack—and I couldn’t look away.

Julie was the perfect guide through all that quiet chaos. I felt every ounce of her confusion, her determination, and that sinking feeling that she was being pulled into something much bigger than she ever imagined. And Ronan… he’s the kind of character who makes you suspicious and curious at the same time. Their chemistry has this slow-burn edge to it, but it’s the unspoken things between them. the glances, the half-truths, the things neither one will say that really pulled me in.

There are secrets here that don’t just sit in the background; they shift the entire story as they come to light. Every time I thought I had something figured out, the book reminded me I absolutely did not. I loved that.

If you’re into dark vibes, haunting family mysteries, and characters who are one heartbeat away from unraveling something dangerous, this book is worth diving into

This is a standalone book in the Nightshades series, and although you don't have to read the other books (Devil's Lily and Devil's Tulip), it helps with the backstory a bit. There is also a prequel to this story called Wicked Mistletoe that provides a lot of the backstory for this couple - I would highly recommend reading that one first; I think it would be confusing without some backstory.

As a second chance romance story, I enjoyed this, although I don't always love second chance tropes. The characters have quite a history - they fell in love before they went their own ways and became a crime boss (Rafael) and FBI agent (Emilia), and now despite their attraction they are on the opposite sides of the law with a few big issues to work through. Much of their issues come down to miscommunication and other loyalties, which can be frustrating to read - if only they would just talk to each other!

Overall I enjoyed the story - perhaps as a typical mafia romance, it reads a bit as a soap opera with very high drama sometimes, but that also made it easy to read and hard to put down.

A "sweet" stalker meets girl story!

I'm so glad that I discovered Scarlett Noir. It was only yesterday & I've already devoured two of her books. Whereas the Game of Masks was a very dense, propulsive read, in contrast this was a much simpler affair. Not light or trite, just easier to grasp the central core & hold on tight. Layer upon layer of a woman struggling to come to terms with abuse & the man who nearly loses her through his own issues infringement & control. It's a paeon to the triumph of the spirit & the steps needed to recover oneself, once someone has tried to wrest agency away.

Ms Noir has a facility for just the right turn of phrase to let you into a character's head & heart. Both the protagonists leave their scars bare & become stronger for it. Loved it!

An Intense, thrilling, addictive stalker romance you won't want to put down. I felt the intensity of the story. The characters were interesting. This is meant to be a fast-paced plot and I found the details were engaging and detailed enough while keeping the story moving along. I enjoyed the fact that things didn't get drawn out. With dual POVs, we get a good picture of the MC's thoughts and motivations. I recommend this exciting ride that keeps your heart pounding.

Glass House written by Scarlett Noir is truly an amazingly well developed story about the trauma of being stalked. Julie and Ronan become real life characters experiencing the fear of the unknown. This Obsidian Hearts book is the first in the series. Be sure to read this dark stalker romance!

Needed timelines

This book could have been really good but it wasn’t hashed out enough… I need to know if FMC got mad at MMC on Friday how many days was it when she forgave him??? Did she wait a week a month? What? I was sooo confused with the timing.

I thought this book was ok. I would have liked a little more backstory on the MMC and FMC, but I still liked it. The ending I didn’t see coming, but it was a good surprise. Overall a good book.
