Windy Harbor #4

Endless Summer Nights

Rate this book
A steamy, second-chance, small-town, hockey romance full of heartbreak, heat, and the one he could never quite let go of from USA Today bestselling author Willow Aster.

Running into Lola Donavan wasn’t exactly on my summer agenda—not after she broke my heart in college. But there she is, at my family’s resort…with her new boyfriend. And not just any boyfriend—my hockey rival. Perfect.

Seeing Lola again is a punch to the gut. She’s even more beautiful than I remember, and the second our eyes meet, I know my feelings aren't as buried as I’ve pretended. I tell myself it doesn’t matter, that whatever we had is long gone. But one look at her and I know I’m lying to myself.

Then fate throws us into each other’s path again—no boyfriend, no dissecting the past, just the two of us and a spark that instantly reignites. One night together proves the chemistry between us never died.

But desire is the easy part. Trust? Not so much.

She walked away once without a word, and it still haunts me. Now that she’s back in my life, I don’t know which is more dangerous—letting myself fall for her all over again, or bracing for the moment she leaves and breaks me a second time.

Endless Summer Nights is book four in the interconnected, standalone Windy Harbor series.

This is a beautifully emotional second-chance romance full of love, longing, heartache, and all of the intensity that I love about soulmates reuniting. I loved this story.

This is the fourth book in the Windy Harbor series, and while there is a lot of character crossover, and great family connections, this can easily be read as a standalone.

Tully and Lola met in college and fell in deep, life-changing love. It ended suddenly and in heartbreak, and they haven’t seen each other in five years. Now, Tully is a professional hockey player who has returned to his home town and the resort that his family is building, and who should be staying there – Lola and her boyfriend, Tully’s biggest rival on the ice.

“Does he know you still look at me like this?” he asks.
My breath hitches. “Like what?”
“Like you haven’t forgotten anything.” His voice drops. “Like you miss me.”

From the moment these two see each other again, sparks fly. It’s clear that there is still so much emotion between them, though the timing is all wrong for them to act on it or even address their past. But there’s no denying their connection is still very much alive. So when they are reunited a second time shortly after, and Lola is single, there's no holding them back. Their passion for each other is as wild as it always was, but the issues which separated them in the past are still very much there.

Lola has deeply buried secrets, leaving them with understandable trust issues to overcome, and there is a lot of heartbreak to work through and forgive. I was frustrated at everything still standing in their way, but as they continue to see each other, they can’t hold back from each other for too long, and the whole painful story comes out. I finally understood it all and I was devastated for both of them at the pain they experienced and the heartache of all that they lost.

“I’ve always loved you. I’ll never stop.”

This is such a beautiful love story. Tully and Lola are soulmates who so clearly belong together, and I felt every emotion right alongside them. You know they’re going to be together, it’s just a matter of them working through everything and finding their way forward. Their strength in talking about their feelings and everything that happened in the past, confronting the barriers between them and openly and enthusiastically embracing the future they always wanted together is so beautiful to see.

“You look happy,” I say.
Her hands find my hair again. I fucking love it when she plays with my hair.
“I’m so happy, Tully.”
“I am too ... I’ve got my girl back.”

Tully and Lola are so gorgeous together, and I couldn’t get enough of the angst, heartache, lighter moments, sweet romance, steamy encounters, and swoony declarations, and I was so wonderfully swept up in their story. There is lots of time spent with Tully’s family, so we get to catch up with characters from previous books and see progression in their stories. And I loved watching Lola become a part of the extended crew.

This is a sweet and easy read that brings the emotion, and it’s such a beautiful romance. I loved this book.

4.5 stars.

The deeper I get into the Windy Harbor series, the harder it is to leave.
Endless Summer Nights is book four in this interconnected romance series, and I love how every new story makes the world feel a little more familiar.

Lola and Tully’s second chance romance pulled me in with their complicated history, dual timelines, and all the emotional baggage that comes with finding your way back to someone you never really stopped loving.

One of my favorite parts of being this far into a series is getting those little glimpses of the couples who came before. Seeing them settled into their happily ever afters gave me so many “aww” moments, and the sibling banter continues to be one of my favorite parts of Windy Harbor.

The audiobook was another win, with Megan Wicks and Gideon Frost bringing so much warmth and chemistry to Lola and Tully’s story.

If you love small town romance, second chances, family dynamics, and interconnected series that feel like coming home, add Windy Harbor to your TBR!

If Willow Aster writes it, you can bet I'm going to read it and absolutely devour it. She has a gift for writing emotional, heartfelt small town romances that will find a home in your heart.

Tully is an NHL hockey player who has never truly moved on from the love of his life. Five years after losing the future he thought he'd have, he's still carrying that heartbreak with him. Lola, a successful tattoo artist living her dream in New York, never expected to find herself back in Tully's hometown. But when fate brings them together again, old feelings quickly resurface, and everything changes.

Endless Summer Nights is filled with heartbreak, healing, second chances, and a twist I never saw coming. The connection between Tully and Lola never faded, it only grew stronger with time. Their chemistry goes far beyond physical attraction, it's built on years of love, history, and a bond that's impossible to forget.

I absolutely adored Tully. He is the definition of a green flag. He's loyal, patient, and unwavering when it comes to the woman he loves. Once he decides he wants a future with Lola, he'll do whatever it takes to fight for it. Lola is carrying secrets she's terrified to reveal, knowing the truth could shatter them both. Watching her wrestle with that fear while Tully continued to love her so fiercely was incredibly emotional.

And can we talk about Tully's family? They completely stole my heart. From the moment they met Lola, they welcomed her with open arms and never once made her feel like she didn't belong. Their unconditional love and support added such a beautiful found family element to the story.

Watching Tully and Lola slowly heal, forgive, and find their way back to one another was everything I hoped it would be. Willow Aster once again delivered a beautiful, emotional romance that left my heart completely full.

✨ARC Review✨
♥️Endless Summer Nights by Willow Aster
🏒Windy Harbor Series: Book 4
✨Lola + Tully

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you Willow Aster for the ARC of Endless Summer Nights. We absolutely love the Windy Harbor Series and these amazing characters. This one is a second chance, hockey player, small town vibes, with a welcoming family. Lola and Tully were college sweethearts until she disappeared for 5 years. She then shows up at his family’s resort…with a boyfriend…who happens to be Tully’s enemy on the ice. All the feelings are still there and with a little bit of fate they keep running into each. This was a really well done second chance romance, it was emotional but still funny and heartwarming. Lola and Tully were just two people who were always meant to be together. Although it can be read as a standalone we suggest reading the entire series because not only are they all amazing (duh) but there is also an interconnected story here that has us hooked! We can’t wait for the next book to come out 🤭

Tropes:
- Second Chance
- Hockey Player Hero
- The One That He Never Got Over
- Small Town
- Tattoo Artist Heroine

Second Chance never fails to put me in my feels. Lola and Tully met in college and sparks flew. Soon they are head over heels in love, but one day Lola just disappears. 5 years later the universe has them crossing paths…multiple times. He never got over Lola. Those feelings that he has tried to burry are back in the forefront.

Willow masterfully weaves the past and present story lines so that you get a full picture of everything that happened, every emotion that was felt, and how they find their way back to each other. I felt their connection so deeply that I keep tearing up. It was a heartbreaking story but with so much love and happiness to put us back together. Plus you can’t help but smile when Tully is around. I love this man!

This is the fourth book in this amazing series, and this is Lola and Tully’s story.
Lola is a tattoo artist, and Tully is an NHL captain, and they were college sweethearts until she broke his heart. Now 5-years later fate destines Lola and Tully to cross paths again when she arrives at his family’s resort with her boyfriend, his hockey rival. The sparks fly between Lola and Tully, but can they get their second chance?
This is a well written easy to read, emotional roller coaster, with found family, friendships, tension, angst, heartbreak, challenges, trust, second chances, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable, small town hockey romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Endless Summer Nights is the fourth book in Willow Aster’s Windy Harbor series and follows hockey player Tully and his first love Lola as they navigate their way back to the trust they once shared.

This second chance love story between Tully and Lola is tough on your heartstrings once you learn what drove them apart and kept them apart for years. It took a lot of hard and honest conversations for them to understand everything that happened and to move forward together this time.

Tully’s family is everything and they were adamant about helping Tully and Lola and securing their future together. The love never went away for either of them and that helped them get back to the place they needed to be and to the future they dreamed about when they were younger.

There’s only one sibling left to get their happily ever and it’s oldest and single dad Noah. I can’t wait to see the grumpy single dad and his adorable son fall in love.

What to Expect:
Small Town
Sports (Hockey)
Second Chance
Found Family
The One That Got Away
Suspense Vibes

Since the last chapter of All for Love (book 3 in the Windy Harbor series), I needed Tully's story. As the story begins, Tully sees his college ex-girlfriend and the one that got away at his family's resort, with his rival. Cue all the emotional baggage that comes with seeing your first love after 5 years and no answers to why things ended.

Second Chance romances can be hard to tell, but the fantastic way Willow told Tully and Lola's second chance as we get glimpses of their history had me on the edge of my seat. I did not want to put this book down because I believed so deeply in Tully and Lola's second chance. In fact, I needed them to have a second chance, and I finished this book in 24 hours.

This story was not only emotionally charged, but had several roller coaster moments. As the reveals came, I loved seeing how Tully and Lola dealt with the new realities they faced, the new truths they discovered and how they worked to heal together to move forward.

Thank you so much to Willow Aster and VPR for the early copy of Endless Summer Nights!

Endless Summer Nights

Huge thanks to Willow Aster and Must Love Audio for the gifted ALC.

Alexa, play This Love by Taylor Swift.

A gorgeous summer setting and a second chance meeting that screams UNFINISHED BUSINESS, I really enjoyed this one! I loved the way this one slowly built and the flashbacks that told me there was more to Lola leaving. There were a few twists I did not see coming that made it impossible to put down.

Gideon Frost and Megan Wicks were the perfect pair for Tully and Lola. Their voices were so smooth and easy to listen to. They delivered the emotions of this story perfectly.

I absolutely loved Endless Summer Nights by Willow Aster; it is a small-town second chance love story. It is the fourth book in her Windy Harbor series. Willow Aster is a new author for me; this is the first book that I have read that she wrote but will most definitely not be the last. Willow Aster is an amazing storyteller. Endless Summer Nights was impossible to put down and I loved every moment on every page. It is one of the most enjoyable books that I have read recently. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? Endless Summer Nights is the story of Lola Donavan, tattoo artist and owner of Mark & Muse Ink and Tully Whitman professional hockey player for the Minnesota Fierce. Lola and Tully had been lovers in college, but one day Lola disappeared from Tully’s life. Lola and Tully have not seen each other since Lola disappeared. Lola heads to Windhaven in Windy Harbor, Minnesota with her current boyfriend, Patrick Martin, Tully’s arch nemesis, who hopes to reconcile his relationship with Lola. Lola was not aware that Tully’s family owns Windhaven, Patrick did know that. I love the initial reunion between Lola and Tully and all the chance meetings. Lola ultimately breaks up with Patrick. As Lola and Tully begin to spend time together again, things ultimately change between Lola and Tully. As Lola and Tully spend time together through the season, things continue to change between them, but neither one of them is willing to admit their true feelings for one another. I love the sizzling chemistry between Lola and Tully and the conversations between them flow so easily, with innuendos and playful banter, and Lola constantly flirting with dirty talking Tully. I love all the little things that each of them does for the other. I love all the heart-to-heart conversations between Lola and Tully, especially when Lola reveals what happened between them, the threats, and the blackmail that caused her to disappear. It was such a heartbreaking conversation. I love that Tully still calls Lola, “Trouble” and Lola calls Tully, “Captain” the nicknames they gave each other when they were together. I love when Lola sees Tully’s new tattoos and the first ones that she put on his body, I especially love the newest tattoo that Lola puts on Tully. Another favorite part are Lola’s and Tully’s body piercings. I loved that Endless Summer Nights is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Lola and Tully are facing that need to be resolved, and there is a plot twist that threatens their relationship. I love how the storylines get so beautifully resolved. I love the ending of the love story, and how both Lola and Tully change because of their love for one another and everything that Lola is willing to do to have a life with Tully. My favorite part is Goldie and Milo’s Las Vegas Christmas Eve wedding. It was such a bittersweet moment between Tully and Goldie. Another favorite part are the chapter titles in the book. I love all the descriptions of the Windy Harbor setting. Endless Summer Nights is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, Willow Aster did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments as well as the plot twist and surprises that filled this page turner. As well as all the moments that made me laugh. I especially love the bonus epilogue and how it is the perfect ending of their love story, I loved it and all the surprises revealed. I really enjoy how the book is written in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting inside their minds and knowing their thoughts and how they really feel. I love how Willow Aster incorporated the title of the book into the love story. Another favorite part of the book are the chapter subtitles. I love all the characters in Endless Summer Nights. They feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Whitman siblings and the family dynamic; it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I love how they keep changing the name of the chat between Tully, Goldie, Ava, and Erin. Endless Summer Nights might be the first book that I have read by Willow Aster, but it will definitely not be the last. I am looking forward to going back and reading the other books in this series as well as any future books. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Endless Summer Nights, who does not love second chance love story. It was such an enjoyable book to read. Highly recommend this incredible love story. Endless Summer Nights is another heartfelt and addictive addition to Willow Aster's Windy Harbor series. Filled with second chances, unresolved heartbreak, sizzling chemistry, and all the charm of a close-knit coastal town, Tully and Lola's story is emotional, romantic, and impossible not to become invested in. While this is a standalone, returning to Windy Harbor and catching up with familiar faces made the experience even more enjoyable.

Tully completely stole my heart. Beneath his confident, successful hockey career is a man who has never truly recovered from losing the woman he thought would always be his. Seeing Lola unexpectedly return to his family's resort forces him to confront years of hurt, unanswered questions, and feelings he has never managed to let go of. I loved how protective, patient, and emotionally vulnerable he became as the story unfolded. His love for Lola never really disappeared and watching him slowly open himself up to the possibility of being hurt again made him incredibly easy to root for.

Lola was equally compelling. She carries the weight of past decisions and regrets, knowing that walking away from Tully changed both of their lives forever. I appreciated that her journey was more than rekindling an old romance. She had to confront her past, forgive herself, and learn to trust that she deserved happiness. Her growth throughout the story felt authentic, and I found myself cheering for her just as much as I did for Tully.

The chemistry between these two reignites almost instantly, but what I loved most was that their relationship wasn't built purely on attraction. Willow Aster takes the time to explore the emotional wounds left behind by their breakup, allowing both characters to communicate, heal, and rebuild the trust that had once been shattered. Their romance feels mature, heartfelt, and deeply satisfying, making every emotional moment hit even harder.

The Windy Harbor setting once again feels like a character in its own right. The family resort, beautiful summer atmosphere, and supportive cast create the perfect backdrop for a story about finding your way back to the person who has always owned your heart. The balance of humour, family moments, romance, and emotional depth keeps the story moving at a wonderful pace.

Megan Wicks and Gideon Frost deliver outstanding performances that elevate every emotional scene. Megan captures Lola's vulnerability, strength, and quiet determination beautifully, while Gideon brings warmth, longing, and sincerity to Tully that makes his emotions feel completely genuine. Together they create an audiobook that is both immersive and incredibly easy to become lost in.

Endless Summer Nights is a beautiful second chance romance filled with longing, forgiveness, heartfelt emotion, and undeniable chemistry. Willow Aster once again delivers a romance that reminds us that sometimes the right love simply needs the right time to find its way home.

OMG What an Amazing story..!!
I have really enjoyed this series and I absolutley LOVE Windy Harbor and Wind Haven this family is so relatable,I adore the Whitman's.
This is Tully Whitman's story about the woman who broke his heart who he never stopped loving Lola Donavan.
Tully is a Hockey Player captain to The Minnesota Fierce and he is thinking about retiring,he is on his way back to Wind Haven for a while...Little does he know his past is waiting for him there.
Lola is at Wind Haven staying at the resort with her boyfriend Patrick, its a make or break trip for them..Lola has had enough of Patricks controlling behaviour. He happens to be Tully's rival on the ice.
This as you can imagine is a second chance romance,as Tully and Lola were college sweethearts, but Lola disappears wih no explanation breaking Tully's heart and her own heart too.
The book does go into the past so we get an idea of the loving relationship they had and events that leads up to Lola's disappearance.
So when they meet one another again after 5 years apart it is awkward at first and then it becomes familiar and a little bit easier as they have to get to know the new versions of themselves, that they don't know yet.
They do avoid eachother alot and they go back to their seperate lives but Fate keeps throwing them together...Because they bump into one another again in Nantucket at a wedding and everything changes because Passions ignite some confessions are told. But the secret that Lola holds is not revealed. They are both vunerable and exposed as they unite intimately, yet the mystery of why Lola left back then is a shadow hanging over them through-out the book.
Lola leaves again.
But OMG Willow Aster throws a big curveball that I did not foresee and it made me want to weep,it is a heartbreaking twist.
I really felt for Lola and what she went through I hurt for her and Tully's devestation was hurtful too.
It was a relief when the secret is exposed but it could destroy them...It destroyed me.
This book made me feel tearful and emotional at times all those years wasted being apart because of greed.
Tully is just so Amazing and so forgiving and Lola was stronger than she gives herself credit for.
I Love all of the characters in this book well the good ones,I love how the Whitman's fight for eachother and I Love their group chats, they are Iconic.
Still adore Grandma Donna and Grandma Nancy and their little flirts with Uncle Hal and Uncle Hector they are the cutest and so funny.
...The narration to the audiobook that I had the delight to be able to listen to was Fabulous.
Gideon Frost and Megan Wicks are Superb as they tell this story...I enjoyed their different accents and the expressive way they both showed the emotions the characters were going through.
they made this book extra special and did and excellent job portraying the charcters.
Endless Summer nights is written beautifully by Willow Aster she has created such a brilliant world that I want to live in.
It was thrilling ,exciting, heartwrenching, steamy, romantic and basically everything you want in a compelling romance.Their ending was well deserved.
I could not praise it enough.
Loved it.

⭐️ 4.5 | 🌶️ 2

Tully and Lola met in college, and from the moment they danced together at a party, they were inseparable. Tully was pursuing a promising career as a professional hockey player, while Lola was chasing her dream of becoming a tattoo artist. Their future seemed bright until Lola suddenly left without any explanation, breaking Tully's heart.

Five years later, they unexpectedly reunite in Windy Harbor while she's dating another hockey player, and then cross paths again at a friend's wedding. Despite the years apart, the chemistry between them is undeniable, and Tully still calls her “trouble” 😌. But before they can figure out a future together, he’s finally forced to confront the unanswered question that has haunted him all this time: Why did Lola leave?

I loved Tully so much. Even though he was a professional hockey player, he wasn't a playboy. From the beginning, he knew Lola was the one he wanted a future with, and it was obvious that losing her changed him. After they reunited, he struggled both emotionally and on the ice, but once they finally had an honest conversation, there was no question that he still wanted a life with her. I also have to say... I absolutely hated his agent and Bruce. 😤

My heart broke for Lola and everything she went through. Leaving Tully wasn't an easy decision, but she truly believed walking away was the only way to protect his future and career. I didn't agree with her choice, but I understood why she made it. She built a successful career as a tattoo artist in New York despite having parents who never supported either her career or her relationship with Tully. I was happy to see their relationship begin to heal by the end. I also loved her sister, Isla, who supported her every step of the way.

One of my favorite parts of this series continues to be the family dynamic. If you've read the previous books, you know Tully is Goldie's twin, and I loved seeing their bond again. The found family is everything. The grandmas, Papa Hector, Uncle Hal, Ralph the rooster, Goldie, Dahlia, Ava, Erin, and Juju all made the story even more special. They welcomed Lola back with open arms, reminding her she had always been part of the family.

I also loved catching up with the previous couples. Those little glimpses always make me smile and make Windy Harbor feel like home.

The romance was beautiful. There's definitely spice, but it's perfectly balanced with the emotional storyline. Watching Tully and Lola find their way back to each other after years apart made this second-chance romance so rewarding, and I couldn't have been happier with their ending.

I loved their story so much, and now I'm even more excited for Noah's book. A single dad romance? Sign me up! I can't wait.

Thank you, Valentine PR and Willow Aster, for the ARC. This review reflects my honest thoughts.

🏒🌊 Sometimes your first love isn't your greatest mistake... it's the love you're meant to fight your way back to. 🌊🏒

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5)
Spice-meter: 🌶️☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
Audiobook: 🎧 Duet
Series: Windy Harbor, Book 4 (interconnected standalone)
HEA: Yes

Endless Summer Nights is another beautiful addition to Willow Aster's Windy Harbor series. This emotional second-chance romance is packed with unresolved heartbreak, healing, and the kind of chemistry that never truly fades. Returning to this close-knit coastal town and catching up with familiar faces made the story even more special, and once again Willow Aster reminded me why this is one of my favorite small-town romance worlds.

Tully and Lola's relationship felt incredibly authentic. Their shared history gives every interaction emotional weight, and I loved how the dual timeline slowly revealed what tore them apart. Watching them fall in love in college while simultaneously seeing them reconnect in the present made every revelation hit that much harder. It added so much depth to their journey toward forgiveness and a well-earned second chance.

The emotional pacing was one of my favorite aspects of the book. This is a romance built on hope, trust, and healing rather than unnecessary drama. Combined with the found-family atmosphere, witty banter, and small-town charm, it became impossible not to root for these two.

And that ending... let's just say I'm already counting down the days until Noah finally gets his story.

What I Loved
✔️ Beautiful second-chance romance
✔️ Dual timeline that adds emotional depth
✔️ Small-town coastal setting
✔️ Found family vibes
✔️ Emotional healing and forgiveness
✔️ Hockey romance without it overshadowing the love story
✔️ Wonderful cast of returning characters

Still adore Grandma Donna and Grandma Nancy and their little flirts with Uncle Hal and Papa Hector they are the cutest and so funny.
...The narration to the audiobook that I had the delight to be able to listen to was Fabulous.
Loved it.
5 Stars.

Book 4 in the Windy Harbor Series

This was an angsty, emotionally charged, heart achingly beautiful journey as past memories intermingle with the present. From the moment they met, there was a connection between Tully and Lola like no other, until there wasn't... She vanished without a trace, leaving Tully to pick up the broken pieces of his shattered heart... Coming face to face with her years later on the arm of his biggest rival, at his family's resort no less, wasn't something he ever saw coming. Emotions will flare... The good, the bad, and the ugly. The pull to her is still there, beneath the hurt and confusion. The anger. He wants answers, but that's something she may never give him...

Tully Whitman is the Center & Team Captain for the Minnesota Fierce hockey team. Fiercely protective, endearingly sweet and all shades of charming, this sinfully delicious man will have you swooning every chance he gets just by being himself.

Tattoo Artist Lola Donavan has been going through the motions for years. This once vibrant, confident, self assured woman now lives within the shadows of her own heart. To the outside world, she's a talented, highly sought after artist, but inside she's sadness, loneliness and pain. Pain she's endured since making the hardest decision of her life... Messy second-chance romances are quickly becoming one of my favorite tropes, and Endless Summer Nights is exactly why.

There is something so satisfying about watching two people who have spent years pretending they've moved on realize they never actually stopped loving each other. From the moment Lola unexpectedly walks back into Tully's life, I was completely invested. The hurt was still there, the chemistry was undeniable, and every conversation between them felt like it carried five years' worth of unanswered questions.

The dual timeline worked so well here. I loved getting to watch them fall in love in college while slowly uncovering everything that led to Lola walking away. It made every reveal hit harder because you could see exactly what they had lost...and why they were worth fighting for.

Tully was everything I wanted him to be. Hurt? Absolutely. A little stubborn? Definitely. But the second he learned the truth behind Lola's decision, there wasn't a question in his mind about what came next. He loved her then, he loved her now, and he was going to spend every day proving she didn't have to carry the weight of her past by herself. Protective hockey heroes who fall first and never really get over her? Sign me up every single time.

My heart also broke for Lola. Once everything came to light, her choices made so much sense. She wasn't trying to hurt Tully—she genuinely believed walking away was the only way to protect him. Watching her slowly believe she deserved to be loved, scars and all, gave this story so much emotional depth.

And then there's Windy Harbor. At this point, it feels like visiting old friends. The grandmas are still iconic, Erin had me laughing with Operation Lola (which never really stood a chance), and Bill, Kevin, and Ralph once again managed to steal scenes without saying a word. It's those little moments that make this series feel so comforting to come back to.

I also appreciated that Willow Aster kept surprising me. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, another piece of the puzzle would fall into place. I especially wasn't expecting to enjoy Daniel's chapter as much as I did, but getting his perspective added another layer to the bigger story that's been building throughout the series.

If you love second-chance romances filled with unresolved feelings, protective hockey heroes, first loves that never really fade, found family, and a small-town setting you’ll never want to leave, Endless Summer Nights deserves a spot at the top of your summer reading list.

Endless Summer Nights by Willow Aster absolutely stole my heart from the very first page. Second-chance romance does not get any better than this! Tully and Lola are truly a match made in heaven. As star-crossed lovers, they had to go through a sea of pain, heartbreak, and devastating emotions before they could finally find their happily ever after. This story is written so beautifully; my heart broke over and over again, but the author healed it perfectly by the end.
📚 The Tropes:
• Second Chance Romance
• Angsty Romance
• Small Town / Big Family Dynamics (Found Family)
• Friends to Lovers
• NHL Hockey Star Hero x Tattoo Heroine
• ⚠️ Trigger Warning: Loss of a child

Minnesota NHL star Tully Whitman is absolutely blown away when he finds the woman who got away years ago—the only woman he ever loved and never got over. But Lola Donovan is at his family resort with his biggest enemy on the ice. Is this the end of his love for Lola, or will this encounter open up a Pandora’s box of secrets, lies, and manipulation that actually separated them all those years ago?The plot has a romantic suspense subplot that keeps you completely hooked. You desperately want to know what actually happened when Tally was young, in college, deeply in love with Lola, and on the verge of getting signed to an NHL team.

Lola is an absolutely incredible human being. She has such a sassy, witty, and sparkling personality, but the past has dulled her shine, which truly hurt to read. She was crazy about Tally in college and thought they were endgame, but external forces interfered and tore their lives apart.
.
Now, their paths have crossed again, and from the very first glance, they realize their connection hasn't gone anywhere. Their chemistry is magnetic. They still know each other on a deeper level that is only possible for soulmates. However, there are too many things at risk, and Lola has to trust Tally enough to open up about her fears so he can protect her and their happiness from evil forces.
.
Tully’s devotion to Lola, her safety, and her happiness is mind-blowing. Oh my god, this man is ultimate book boyfriend material! He is funny, witty, charming, and protective. He is an alpha hero, but he also has a soft, vulnerable side that I absolutely adored. There were no games with Tally; he wanted Lola back in his life, made all his plays directly, and I just loved it.

I love the Whitmans and absolutely loved coming back to Windy Harbor! This family is so wholesome and heartwarming; they make you feel good and happy every single time you step into their world. They truly rallied behind Tally when he needed them most.
This story is a masterclass in heartbreak. Willow Aster delivered epic emotion after emotion on every single page until the very end. This is the kind of romance that makes your heart ache, leaves a permanent impression, and brings all the emotions rushing back the moment you think about it.

The one that got away came back… And so did the feelings.

4.25 ⭐️ | 2.75 🌶️

Willow Aster delivered exactly what I want from a second-chance romance: longing that aches, chemistry that crackles, emotional wounds that refuse to stay buried, and two people who never truly stopped loving each other.

Endless Summer Nights was my very first visit to Windy Harbor, and now I’m wondering why I waited so long.

Lola is a tattoo artist from New York who heads to Windy Harbor for a weekend getaway with her “boyfriend”… only to discover they’re staying at her ex-boyfriend’s family resort. Talk about walking straight into emotional chaos. Five years have passed since she shattered Tully’s heart by leaving without an explanation, but one look between them proves that some loves never really fade.

Tully, now a professional hockey player, has spent years convincing himself he’d moved on. He hasn’t. Fate clearly isn’t finished with these two either, because when they unexpectedly cross paths again in Nantucket, the universe practically says, “Deal with your feelings.”

And the feelings? They are everywhere.

The tension is delicious from the very beginning. Every conversation feels loaded, every glance carries years of unresolved emotions, and the slow rebuilding of trust had me completely invested. Their chemistry is effortless and incredibly sexy, but what really stood out was the emotional depth beneath all that heat.

Lola’s journey especially tugged at my heart. Beneath her strength is someone carrying trauma, self-doubt, and the painful belief that she’ll never quite be enough. Watching her slowly confront those fears made this romance feel so much more than just two exes finding their way back to each other. It felt raw, vulnerable, and beautifully human.

The angst? Chef’s kiss. The plot twists kept things interesting without feeling overdone, and I genuinely loved both main characters. They frustrated me, made me swoon, broke my heart a little, and then slowly pieced it back together.

This was emotional, steamy, heartfelt, and impossible not to root for. If you love second-chance romances, small-town settings, hockey players who are hopelessly gone for one woman, and love stories where forgiveness is just as important as passion, you’ll want this on your summer TBR.

Thank you to Valentine PR for the eARC, and congratulations in advance to Willow Aster on the release of Endless Summer Nights on July 9th! I can’t wait to read more from Windy Harbor.

Endless Summer Nights by USA Today bestselling author Willow Aster is a breathtaking, steamy, second-chance hockey romance that completely wrecked me in the best way possible. This fourth standalone installment in the interconnected Windy Harbor series delivers an emotional punch to the gut, balancing intense heartbreak with scorching heat. Tully Whitman has only ever had one true love—his college soulmate, Lola Donavan. When they were together, he felt unstoppable, completely certain she was his endgame while he chased his dream of playing in the NHL. But when Lola vanished without a word, Tully's world turned upside down, leaving him to pour all his heartbreak into his hockey career.

What Tully didn't know was the immense pain and sacrifice Lola endured behind the scenes. After making an agonizing choice for the sake of her family and Tully's future, Lola spent five years watching him achieve his NHL dreams from afar, convinced he would never know the truth. But fate has other plans for their summer agenda when they unexpectedly cross paths at Tully's family resort. The reunion is a shock to the system, especially with the added complication of Lola arriving with her new boyfriend—who happens to be Tully's chief hockey rival.

Despite the years of silence and the unresolved questions haunting him, the second their eyes meet, it's clear that the buried feelings and undeniable chemistry never truly died. When fate forces them into each other's orbit without any distractions, a single night together instantly reignites their spark. Tully is desperate for answers about why she walked away, determined to prove they belong together, but rebuilding trust is far more dangerous than giving into desire.

The emotional shift when Tully finally uncovers the truth about Lola's sacrifices is absolutely devastating, and finding out everything she went through made me completely lose it. Bringing this beautiful, angsty story to life is the phenomenal narration by Megan Wicks and Gideon Frost, who deliver a masterclass performance that elevates the book to a whole new level. This story of a man who could never let go of his one true love will leave you entirely breathless, deeply hopeful, and thoroughly satisfied—it is an absolute must-read that does not disappoint.

This book reminded me why I love Willow Aster's writing so much. This wasn't a story full of dramatic twists or nonstop angst. It was one that quietly worked its way into my heart. Tully and Lola felt incredibly real, and I found myself rooting for them from the very beginning.

Willow has a way of writing characters who feel like real people instead of fictional ones. Their emotions, mistakes, and growth all felt authentic, which made it easy to become invested in every moment. I never felt like the story relied on unnecessary drama just to keep things interesting. Instead, it trusted the characters and their relationships to carry the emotional weight, and that paid off.

Tully was everything I want in a romance hero. Protective, patient, completely devoted, and somehow still incredibly humble despite being an NHL captain. He wasn't the loud, over-the-top alpha that you see so often. His love was steady, intentional, and shown through the little things, which honestly made me love him even more. Every time he was on the page, I was kicking my feet.

And Lola was such an easy character to root for. She was independent, talented, and carried her own vulnerabilities without letting them define her. I loved that she felt like a fully developed person outside of the romance. Watching her let her walls down and trust again made every emotional moment hit that much harder.

Together? Their chemistry was EVERYTHING. The tension, the longing, the years of history between them... it all felt so believable. Every conversation had me smiling, every quiet moment had me melting, and every romantic scene felt earned because of everything they'd been through.

One of my favorite things about this book was how comforting it felt. The small-town atmosphere, the family dynamics, and the friendships created the kind of world I never wanted to leave. It's one of those romances that wraps you up like a warm summer evening and leaves you smiling long after it's over.

If you're looking for an emotional second-chance romance with incredible chemistry, and lovable characters, than Endless Summer Nights is absolutely worth the read. It's romantic, heartfelt, and exactly the kind of story that reminds me why I keep coming back to romance.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧Gripping & Heartfelt!

Endless Summer Nights
Windy Harbor, Book 4
By: Willow Aster
Narrated by: Megan Wicks, Gideon Frost

I am loving Willow Aster’s “Windy Harbor” series and the Whitman family, too, and I have been looking forward to Tully’s story and learning more about him. Tully is a professional hockey player, and at the start of his career, the love of his life, Lola Donavan, left him and broke his heart. Now years later, he runs into her at his family’s resort, with none other than his rival on the ice, Patrick. He never got closure after that breakup, and years later it still felt raw, bringing up all his unresolved feelings. Running into her again while in Nantucket, this time she is no longer with Patrick, and the two realized that the chemistry between them continues to sizzle. They give in to their desires, but she is still skittish, holding something back, and he needs to find out what and why. This is a fantastic second-chance romance, and a complex, masterfully crafted, multi-layered story, and I loved how it all played out and how Aster pieced it all together, and the twist of who put it all in motion. This cleverly plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartwarming moments, fabulous family group chats, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Willow Aster, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Megan Wicks and Gideon Frost did a fantastic job voicing the characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. Wicks was a natural in Lola’s role, grasping every facet of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her strengths, with Frost doing the same as Tully and was just as amazing showcasing his personality. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the side/secondary characters, giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. They set the ideal tone for the story, and their expressive delivery conveys all the characters’ emotions, making you feel them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, and their captivating performance rivets you to the story.

✨️ALC REVIEW✨️
I love the Whitman family and have been waiting for Tully's story since we met him in book 1. And I was absolutely not disappointed! Tully and Lola are everything my heart needed!

This was narrated in duet by Megan Wicks and Gideon Frost. Megan has one of my favorite female voices. She has a slight rasp that I adore plus fluctuates nicely for other characters. She portrayed a variety of emotions as Lola and I felt all of them. I haven't listened to a lot of Gideon but he was perfect as Tully. Tully is mainly a fun-loving guy but wow, when the emotion came out, Gideon excelled. Willow's words would have had me tearing up anyway but Gideon's acting really brought it to life.

Speaking of emotion, I was NOT expecting to cry during this one! But Tully has a couple very vulnerable moments that hit me in the feels. I loved how he was willing to be emotional and open with Lola. I thought he communicated well. And wasn't afraid to reach out and let his family, especially his twin, Goldie, help or be a sounding board.

God, I just wanted to reach through and hug Lola. I'm sure some will be upset with her past decisions but I honestly understood how pressured she felt. I don't want to give too much away as those decisions are the basis for the plot. But through everything, Lola pushed through to become a successful business owner and establish herself in a big city.

There are certainly some hiccups while these two find their way back to each other but I loved it. A perfect second chance story with characters you will definitely fall in love with and root for. The spice is nicely sprinkled in; nothing super kinky but definitely hot.

Willow has written such a realistic family and small town series here. From Mr Whitman's cancer diagnosis to the MN grandmother's (and Lutheran salad) to the beauty of the north shore, this MN gal is loving the whole series. Can't wait for Noah's to find love in the final book (especially because single parent is my fave trope!)

The Windy Harbor series by Willow Aster has been something truly special from the moment the first couple graced my Kindle. Every romance has delivered the perfect balance of emotion, heartache, unforgettable characters, and beautifully woven backstories that leave you desperate to pick up the next book. While each story can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone, I would wholeheartedly recommend reading the series in order to fully appreciate the subtle mystery that connects each couple's journey.

As I dived into Endless Summer Nights, book four in the series, I knew Tully was always going to have a special place in my heart. There was just something about this hockey player that had me rooting for him from the very beginning.

This beautifully written second chance romance follows Tully and Lola, his college sweetheart and the only woman he has ever truly loved. Returning home after the hockey season, Tully finds himself questioning whether the game he loves is worth the sacrifices it demands. Then Lola unexpectedly reappears, turning his world upside down once again.

Lola has never stopped loving Tully, but the reasons behind their heartbreaking split run far deeper than he could ever have imagined. As fate continually throws them back into each other's lives, watching these two slowly find their way back to one another is nothing short of magical.

Willow Aster perfectly captures the emotion, longing, and hope that make second chance romances so irresistible. Add in the continuing mystery that threads through the Windy Harbor series, and you have another compelling story filled with twists that kept me turning the pages.

If ever a couple deserved their happily ever after, it was Tully and Lola.

What to expect:

🏒 Hockey romance
❤️ Second chance romance
💕 College sweethearts
🏡 Small-town romance
🥹 Emotional and heartfelt
🔍 An ongoing mystery woven through the series
✨ A deeply satisfying happily ever after

The Windy Harbor series has well and truly woven its way into my heart, and with every new book Willow Aster reminds me exactly why she's one of my favourite romance authors.
