A great little read about a farmer‘s son who unexpectedly discovers and helps reveal a Roman mosaic in his father’s field.
It’s a real life tale of what happens when curiosity is piqued - in this case when the author unexpectedly discovers fragments of tile in the field and follows the path, despite difficulties, to find out what it means.
This results in a significant historical find and a fan moment, meeting Alice Roberts, whose team recorded the story for TV.
An excellent and engrossing short read, happy to recommend.
