Very quick and easy to read, super summery vibes, really sweet, and incredibly fast-paced (both the book and their relationship). Our FMC Maisie lives in this small town and during the summer, a new guy named Henry is staying with his cousin to fix up the inn he just inherited. Maisie and Henry immediately feel a spark and are interested in each other, so when her best friend invites him to help Maisie with her teenage fuck-it list, he is more than happy to oblige.

Maybe I didn’t pick the right time to pick this up or maybe quick summer romances aren’t for me anymore, but I’m not sure this is my preferred sub-genre of romance. Deffo recommend to anyone wanting an easily digestible beachy read though 🌅

Teenage Dream was such a strong debut and really captured that in-between stage of life after college, when you are trying to figure out who you are, what you want, and where you fit in the world.

I absolutely adored both of these characters. Henry was the definition of golden retriever energy, so attentive, thoughtful, and the kind of guy who notices every little thing about the woman he cares about. I was completely obsessed with how naturally he took care of her, not just physically, but emotionally too. Those quieter moments really made him stand out for me.

Maisie was so easy to root for because she has such a big heart and is constantly showing up for everyone around her. It was really satisfying to watch her finally start choosing herself and making space for what she wanted. Wren also added so much fun to the story because her banter with Maisie was hilarious and gave the book another layer of charm.

Overall, this was an excellent debut with summer love, self discovery, and characters that were easy to get attached to. ☀️📚💛

Henry is the literal definition of “if he wanted to, he would”😩

The fact that this is Logan’s debut!?!? I could not put this book down! It made my small town & friends-to-lovers loving self so happy😭💖 I’m actually very sad I read it so fast because I could’ve read 100 more pages of Henry and Maisie.

I was giggling and swooning and laughing out loud the whole book. The friendships were incredible. Wren is hysterical and Miles is a grumpy lil man and I already know their books are going to be just as good. (That ending with a sneak peek into what is coming for book 2? Oh yeah, I just know I’m gonna eat that up🤭)

Thank you thank you thank you Logan for the e-arc🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

A fun, light, flirty, romantic read perfect for the summer!! This was a lovely debut from Rylie, there’s a lot of talent there in the writing. I especially adored Maisie’s chapters and found them to be the most endearing and engaging parts of the book. I related to her so much; her big heart, her warmth but also her anxieties and hesitancy as she enters this new era of her life in her twenties, and opportunities to grow. And Henry is just so perfect for her, it’s like he was made for her!! I also loved the friendship between Maisie & Wren !

If you like Sarah Adams, Tessa Bailey, or Devney Perry, I would recommend this! This is a lower stakes, lighter romance book with spice!

Thank you Logan Rylie for the eArc!!

This is such a great, feel-good read! I love Maisie’s character so much and her vulnerability she shows throughout the book. I feel like I can relate to Maisie so much. 🥹 Also, who doesn’t love a hot, golden retriever-like MMC who will literally do anything for the FMC? Such a wonderful book and one I can’t wait to add to my shelves. 🫶🏻

Thank you to Logan Rylie for letting me read and review this book early. All thoughts are my own!!

I was really excited to read this book because I love supporting indie authors, especially when it’s a debut, but I do think this book fell pretty flat for me, unfortunately.

There were some things that I struggled with when I was reading this book. I feel like they barely had any conversations that weren’t surface level. Henry kept calling her perfect and beautiful and “sunshine in human form,” but I feel like they still barely knew each other by the end of the book. We know right at the beginning that they’re both attracted to each other, but the emotional depth of their relationship was basically non-existent.

Maisie kept saying she never wanted to stay in this town, but she feels like she has to because her grandma left her and her mom the restaurant, just for that to never go anywhere. She said multiple times that she wanted to leave Ruby Lake, but nothing ever came from it. Henry ends up staying, and Maisie just continues to be stuck in a small town she wanted to leave.

The conflict around Henry leaving at the end of the summer and it being something that would be a trigger for Maisie felt kind of underdeveloped. We know that her dad left her when she was young, but we don’t know much more than that. And it would make more sense for her to react that way to Henry leaving if she didn’t also want to leave town. She could’ve just gone with him?

But even at that, he didn’t have anything that was pressing him to leave other than just the assumption that he would. I struggled with that being the main conflict between them, when all it took was Miles offering Henry a job to solve it all. He said multiple times that he didn’t have anything tying him anywhere and that he was looking for something to do, so it didn’t make sense to me why he wouldn’t communicate that to Maisie to help assure her to that he didn’t want to go.

I also think that the queer representation in this book felt kinda forced. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely glad to see queer characters in this book, and I appreciate that the author wrote multiple characters to be queer! I always want more queer representation in books!! I am queer!!

However, one of the only character traits or things that we know about her best friend, Wren, and her supposed parental figure, Kevin, is that they’re queer. Almost every time they’re on page, the book makes a point to say that they’re queer, either because they’re saying it themselves or because someone else brings it up. Yes, they’re queer, and that’s good!! But there needs to be more to their characters than that, especially with Wren, Maisie’s best friend. They’re allowed to talk about Maisie and Henry having sex without having to remind us that Wren “hates men and dicks.”

This kind of writing leans into tokenism in a way I was not vibing with, as a queer person myself. It made them feel so one dimensional and like caricatures. It was also interesting that Henry appears to be queer as well, but it’s significantly less obvious. He makes comments about both men and women and a few other things that lead me to believe he’s probably bisexual, but it’s not his entire character the way it is for the side characters. It’s interesting to see the difference in how the author wrote that for Henry compared to how they wrote Wren and Kevin.

I’m sure that others will really enjoy this book, but it’s just not one that worked for me. I am curious to see how the next book in this series goes, and I would potentially be open to reading more from this author in the future, depending on how the queer representation is written in future books.

Teenage Dream completely exceeded my expectations, especially as a debut. It captured that confusing, emotional, and quietly transformative stage of your early twenties so well, where everything feels uncertain but full of possibility at the same time.

Maisie was such an easy character to connect with. She has this huge heart and gives so much of herself to everyone around her, but watching her slowly start choosing herself and figuring out what she actually wants was so satisfying. Her “f*ck it” list added such a fun, freeing layer to her journey, but it also felt really meaningful like she was reclaiming parts of herself she had put on hold.

And Henry… I’m actually obsessed. He is the definition of golden retriever energy!!! attentive, soft, emotionally present, but also had that unexpected edge that made him even better. The way he noticed everything about Maisie and supported her without ever pushing her boundaries? Unreal. Truly “if he wanted to, he would” in human form. The fact that he fell first and just knew what he wanted made every moment between them hit even harder.

Their chemistry was so natural, from the banter to the quieter, more intimate moments. Watching Maisie try to resist something Henry already understood was inevitable had me giggling, kicking my feet, and fully invested. And when things did finally shift between them… yeah, this book definitely has more spice than you expect (in the best way).

The friendships were another standout. Wren brought so much humor and personality, and the dynamic between her and Maisie felt real and grounding. And don’t even get me started on Miles… I already know his story is going to be everything.

Overall, this is such a strong, addictive debut! A perfect summer romance with friends-to-lovers, small-town charm, and characters you don’t want to let go of. I genuinely could’ve read 100 more pages of Henry and Maisie and still not been ready to say goodbye. ☀️📚💛

Teenage Dream☀️🎞️⛰️🫂💌📋

Thank you so so much Logan for the e-arc and giveaway win of Teenage Dream, out now!! 🫶

First off, Teenage Dream is the coziest most sweetest book (with some hot smut of course) and needs to be on your Summer tbr!

Second, Logan omg I am so sorry for how much I’ve spammed you these past few weeks about Henry and Maisie. I just truly love this book and I’m never getting over them nor their gorgeous cover!!!

Maisie and Henry were the epitome of sunshine, 2 sunshine’s making each other’s life even brighter. Maisie’s Fck It List and Henry’s push to help her continuously was quite literally everything. This man just wanted to be near her. Mr. on his knees for Maisie multiple times 🙂‍↕️

As a 21 year old who genuinely feels stuck in her own world, Maisie’s feelings and emotions were so parallel to mine. I felt so seen. Which also tied in so beautifully with Henry who just recently graduated college and didn’t know what he’d be doing in the future. (Which me right now !!!!!!) I literally graduate in 3 weeks and have no post grad plans other than withering away. But this book my gosh, their growth and thoughts were so valid.

Their soft, lovable, gentle personas matched each other in every way. Seriously, love them so much. I was kicking my feet, giggling, crying and cheering them on.

I can’t wait for all Logan has coming in the future because I’m so sat! I am genuinely so proud of her. Like being here since her influencer days (which yes, I fangirled over her as an influencer and now as an author as well) she’s done so much and I can’t wait to keep cheering her on !!

Summer Romance ✔️ Friends to Lovers ✔️ He Falls First ✔️ Sunshine MMC ✔️ F*ck It List ✔️

Aahhhh this one was so so freaking good! Like the fact this was Logan’s debut???? I was absolutely INVESTED from the start. These two characters end up in the same small town at the same time - Maisie because she’s lived there her entire life and Henry because he’s there for the summer to help his cousin do renovations on the local inn - and immediately there was chemistry between them.

Henry was absolutely the greenest green flag, giving all the sunshine and golden retriever vibes. He was enamoured with Maisie from the moment they met in the diner and despite his feelings for her, when she suggested just being friends because he was only there for the summer, this guy, without question, accepted that because he just wanted to spend time with her.

Maisie was also so likeable, very much a sunshine character herself, albeit feeling a little lost and not knowing what she wants out of life… she decides to complete her ‘Fuck it’ list from her teenage journals… and enlists Henry to help her tick them off.

There were so many sweet moments between these two, their banter and chemistry was strong and watching Maisie try to fight the feelings Henry already knew were inevitable had me squealing and kicking my feet. They were so freaking cute… and when they finally crossed that line??? Omg they were HOT. I was left panting and needing a cold shower many many times, like don’t let the title fool you because this is a spicy lil book and I freaking LOVED it. Henry, our sunshine boy, was a dark hose I didn’t see coming, with a dirty mouth and wasn’t afraid to say what he wanted or show just how affected he was by his girl.

Such an excellent summer romance, that constantly had me rooting for the two main characters and also needing to know more about the side characters too. I am so freaking excited for what’s coming next because that ending??? I neeeed Miles’ story STAT. No pressure 😉

Henry never would have thought when he came back to Ruby lake to help his cousin he would come across Maisie. Maisie found an old high school journal which had a “F$CK IT” list that she had wanted to complete. Little did she know Henry would be the one who would help her achieve this list, while they both slowly are falling for the other.

I not sure how to put into words how this book made me feel. Such heartwarming HEA. This book is the reason I have so many book boyfriends!! The way Henry worships Maisie 😍😍 I was rooting for the two of them since they first met. But Kevin man did I LOVE him.

Thank you Logan for allowing me to be an arc reader. I am forever grateful and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

I was so excited to get an ARC for this book; it was such a quick and easy read. This story feels like sitting in a pile of puppies… adorable energy in every direction.
It’s the perfect pick if you’re looking for something lighthearted and not too deep; a book you can pick up knowing you’ll enjoy it without any shocking twists or heavy moments. I also loved that the male lead is named Henry; it feels like you never meet a young Henry anymore!
Henry is in town for the summer after graduating college, helping his cousin renovate an inn, when he meets the charming Maisie. Maisie is questioning her decision to stay in the town she’s always known, and the story really captures that phase of life where everything feels uncertain and you’re not quite sure what comes next.
Their love story reflects that uncertainty, starting off sweet and innocent with plenty of cute moments and charming adventures. As their relationship grows, the story does bring in some spice along the way.
This would be the perfect weekend read or a great way to kick off your summer reading.

This was SOO cute and I loved reading about Maisie and Henry so much. Henry is so if he wanted to he would coded and is down bad for Maisie from first sight basically and I ate it up! I loved the references of Hannah Montana and High School Musical because I to love those movies and was always waiting for the newest episode of HM.

Teenage Dream is such an easy read and I found myself laughing and kicking my feet multiple times honestly. Wren (Maisie's bestie) is so funny and I love that she's not afraid to call her out on her BS. Miles (Henry's bestie) is so broody and I can't wait for his book to get his backstory. Ruby Lake is the cutest little town that I would love to visit for the summer.

Teenage Dream releases next week!! I can't wait to buy a trophy for my shelves. Great debut Logan!! <3

Logan Rylie’s debut Teenage Dream is exactly what it promises: hopeful, heartfelt, and completely infectious. Maisie and Henry are sunshine personified, but Logan gives them real depth and struggles, making them feel genuinely human rather than naively optimistic. I was hooked from chapter one.

Both characters hit close to home. Maisie’s fear of being stuck while everyone else moves forward is so relatable. Henry’s post-college spiral of “what am I doing with my life?” adds just the right amount of tension. And watching them tackle Maisie’s F*ck It List together, with total openness and easy chemistry from the start, was an absolute joy. The slow burn friends to lovers arc felt earned, not rushed, and the side characters only made this small town world richer.

This is a debut that makes you believe in your own teenage dream. Cannot wait to see what the Ruby Lake world brings next. 🌟

Debut book?! Logan Rylie what have you been doing all your life? I need ten thousand more please 🙂‍↕️

Teenage Dream takes place in Ruby Lake where Maisie has lived all her life and Henry's in town helping his cousin fix up an inn. Neither of them are looking for anything serious since Maisie doesn't plan on leaving and Henry's only here for the summer. But once Henry gets word of Maisie's f-it list well... you'll just have to read to find out 🤭

As someone that normally doesn't gravitate towards golden retriever mmc, Henry had me HOOKED from chapter 1. And Maisie? God I need her in my life (maybe Wren and Miles too)

This book had me giggling, squealing and swooning the ENTIRE time. If you like fun and flirty texts, body confidence, AND good boys- this one's for you!

I absolutely LOVED this book. Maisie and Henry’s story was just so sweet and I was hooked from the first chapter. Henry is so confident yet so gentle and thoughtful, and Maisie is so relatable. I also adored all of the side characters-Wren is hilarious and Miles is such a grump that also has a soft side. This was the perfect small town, friends to lovers book and I wish I could just teleport to Ruby Lake and be part of their world. I was so giddy reading but was also crying happy tears at the end.

I really wanted to love this one, but unfortunately this fell flat to me. I wanted to see more character development from Henry and Maisie. This was supposed to be friends to lovers, but felt very insta-lovey to me. I wanted to see more emotional development between the two of them. Every time Henry complimented her it felt very surface level and juvenile. Like I wanted to see them grow attracted to each other. It felt to me that these two characters got together really fast. I wanted more from this book and I wish it could've been longer so we could see these characters actually fall in love.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

If you are looking for that perfect summer read, look no further.
This is Logan Rylies debut, and it was just so swoony and cute, definitely perfect for that pick me up in-between more intense or dark books. This story had me smiling, I soaked it all in and couldn't put it down until the end.

This story was like a warm hug, low stakes but characters you cannot help but love. I also liked that Logan will be adding more books into this world, and has given us glimpses of what's to come. I fell for not just the romance but also the friendships in this one... Ruby Lake now has my heart and I cannot wait to see what else comes from this universe and see how Logan grows!

This book is sweet and a slow burn spicy read.

The MMC, Henry, has golden retriever energy with a goal - to get Maisy, MFC, out of the friend zone and into his arms. He goes about it thoughtfully and with open communication. He becomes her friend, genuinely, while hoping for more.

They are surrounded by a great family, friends and community who has their best interests at heart. This is a small town type read. I found myself smiling throughout reading this book. I was surprised this was this authors first book because it was so well written. She set it up for a story about Miles, Henry's cousin and BFF. I hope to read that story soon.

What a great debut novel!! I finished this book in one day. It is such a fun, easy, quick read! I absolutely loved this sweet summer romance. Maisie & Henry are both such lovable characters. Henry is such a golden retriever book bf - he is willing to do whatever it takes to make Maisie his girl. I loved Maisie’s relationship with both her mom, and her best friend, Wren. And I have such a soft spot for a grumpy guy like Miles. The side characters all added such a fun dimension to the story.

I’ve got my fingers crossed we get a book on Miles & Jo !! 🤞🏼

Logan Rylie’s debut novel Teenage Dream is full of young love, hopeful romance and the innocence of falling in love for the first time.

Maisie and Henry are both little rays of sunshine in the best ways. Rylie does an amazing job adding depth to the characters so that their joy does not come off as childish or overly naive and optimistic. Both characters have issues they have to deal with which adds to their humanness.

Maisie was such a relatable character. Her feelings of being stuck and lost were definitely things I felt when I was her age. The thoughts of life passing me as everyone around me seemed to be moving on. Her fears of being stuck and unsure of she’s where she is supposed to be was such an honest and real feeling.

Henry was also incredibly relatable as he navigated post-college life. The constant feeling of ‘what should I do?’, ‘where am I going?’, added tension to the storyline. His want-ifs and struggles added to his humanness. Though he is a generally positive character it was refreshing to see that side of him as well.

Getting to watch these two complete Maisie’s “F*ck It List”, was so much fun. The openness the characters have with each other from the beginning added to their dynamic. Their friendship was so wholesome as it developed. Their budding relationship was so much fun to see unfold. It truly was like watching your teenage dream develop in front of you.

These two may have been like at first meet but I loved the slow growth of their dynamic. Rylie did an incredible job incorporating the side characters and using them to help develop the story and set up the world she has created.

I cannot wait to see what the rest of the Ruby Lake world has in store.
