He taught me how to bleed. I taught myself how to bite.
Haven Lee
Three years ago, my father forced me to vanish from Agony Hollow in the dead of night. No goodbyes. No apologies.
Now I'm back on a scholarship I risked everything to get, and my one and only childhood friend wants me gone.
But Kai Jordan isn't the same green-eyed boy who escaped with me into the woods behind our broken homes.
He's hotter. Crueler. Utterly ruthless.
And intent on breaking me before the end of the week.
I should run. I should scream. I should report him.
Instead, I find myself accepting help from someone even more dangerous.
Someone who sees exactly what Kai does to me.
What I do to Kai.
Someone who thinks we're not nearly cruel enough.
This is a dark college bully romance featuring childhood friends-turned-enemies, a morally grey professor with his own agenda, and a heroine who discovers that sometimes the only way to survive cruelty is to embrace it.
This is book one of a complete trilogy by USA Today bestselling author Logan Fox, and ends in a cliffhanger, but there is a HEA in book three.
Plot: 3/5 • Smut: 2.5/5 ———> I’m not the ideal reader for this one. I felt like we just kept going in circles. Kai’s inner monologues driving me to the point of almost DNFing. Student X Professor X ex friend read. Do with it what you will.
Second one isn’t out yet, but I won’t be continuing.
This was definitely a very surprising book in so many ways. I wanted to pick up a book to read in between reading a series. I was looking for a casual read and boy was this everything BUT casual. I’m new to the whole dark romance genre and this is my first bully read and I DEFINITELY should have read the trigger warnings because oh my god was I traumatized. However, I did find myself wanting to read this book every second of the day. The story just kept getting more and more compelling and in the blink of an eye I was finished with it and wishing I had read it later so that I didn’t have to wait for book 2. So while I’m suffering from the withdrawals of the story, I will let out my very strong opinions about the characters because omg I can’t.
First of all, Haven’s a fucking warrior for still holding on to the hopes of a better future.. The amount of times I wanted to rip her out of this hellhole universe and tell her that she’s a queen and absolutely worth it and enough is WAY TOO MUCH. I really hope that in the end she just gets her degree and goes on to be a millionaire because that girl is strong as fuck. I don’t blame her for the way she acts or thinks though because hell she’s been through so many traumatic experiences and it made me want to cry every time something got revealed about her past. I just feel so bad for her and wish she had a real friend that would steer her away from all of the nasty fuck ass bitch ass men who should ALL BE IN JAIL, thank you very much. Speaking of nasty men, BASTIAN YOU BITCH. I’m sorry (I’m really not) but every time I read his pov and he’s spewing nonsense talking about breaking her and manipulating her I just want to gauge his eyes out. I, for some stupidly naive reason thought that he was going to to protect her from Kai, but then it turned into me saying “oh okay he’s just a creep professor that wants to sleep with a student, gotcha” to slowly spiraling and realizing that this man is the fucking SPAWN OF THE DEVIL. like SORRY? What do you mean he basically took advantage of her while she was unconscious… no. As soon as he was revealed to be the fuck as crazy predator that he is, I stopped liking him. That doesn’t mean he’s not attractive but it means that I really hope she doesn’t end up with him, and he ends up in a 3x3 foot cell locked away from society. I got to a point in the story where I just kept watching every single person just be absolutely horrible and predatory and looking to take advantage of her in one way or another and it made me sick to my stomach and made my blood boil. Every single man in this story is out to get her and I’m TIRED. Atp I need taco stand man to come and set an example of being a DECENT MAN?? LIKE HELLO??! On a realistic note, I really do need Kai to hurry up and realize that he loves her and that he’s fucked in the head for everything that he’s done. Every time he would pin her to a wall and threaten her I would just wish that she would start crying and he immediately apologized and they would have a deep conversation about trauma and hatred and misunderstandings and hug it out and be okay, but of course, that’s a very impossible thing to ask for. I need his character development stat. Although I will say I like when Bastian sometimes SEEMS like he’s saving her from Kai..jeez I’m grasping at fucking straws here. Even just the illusion of him being genuinely kind is needed. I think I hated it most when he quit her job for her. It reminded me of that one scene of don’t worry darling when Florence Pugh is screaming at harry saying that it was HER LIFE. The audacity on these men is beyond comprehension and I need them to be humbled asap. Also, CAN THEY LEAVE HER THROAT THE FUCK ALONE? I’m EXHAUSTED and utterly disgusted by the amount of times they choke her or “seize her by the throat” I’ve never gotten the ick so bad. Also they keep saying “fuckk” and “she’s MINE! MINE” yes Kai I’m looking at you, stop that. It’s the cringiest shit ever. Also Bastian kept saying “girl” in the middle of his sentences and I can’t figure out if it was in an authoritative “let’s go, girl.” Or in a “let’s go girl 💅” way, Because if it’s in the authoritative way then bro needs to stop because it doesn’t even fit in a lot of the situations. Nevertheless, I hate how intriguing the love triangle is and the tension between her and the two is honestly amazing. The book was super interesting but I think I need to go read a lighthearted romcom after this, or comedy, or sci fi, I need a plate cleanser lmfao. I’m pretty sure I’m not exactly the targeted audience because some of these events were really too much for me and made me genuinely mad at.. everyone honestly, but lookin past some of these things I clearly couldn’t handle, it’s not a bad book, at least the story has enough thriller and mystery that it kept me reading. I will admit I hated the writing sometimes and what the characters said was sometimes a bit cringey, but I’ve read worse, I also think I found some typos in there.
All in all, fuck Bastian, fuck Kai, although I’ll look past the inexplicable bullying for now and really hope he gets his shit together and goes to therapy, then gets together with haven and eventually marries her, but I’m just daydreaming at that point. And fuck uncle fucking Lenny, what episode does he die in? Honestly props to the author, it’s been a while since I’ve felt so opinionated about characters in a book before that I had to write a review. Anyway read this if you’re into really really dark romance and triggering character tropes and.. dont be like me, read the trigger warnings. I don’t think this book is my cup of tea because of how dark it is, but I pushed through and finished it. And am, unwillingly but ultimately waiting for book 2 to come out. I’m sure someone out there will like it for what it is though, it’s got a lot of the very popular tropes. Last note, I really want Kai to eventually save haven from Bastian as like the biggest event. Like Bastian goes crazy and then Kai figures something out and connects all of the dots and rescues her. Also what is behind that dooorrrrr

Oh, what a tangled web we weave…..Man, this was so good. Haven is definitely the spider throughout this book….
I don’t see enough people talk about Logan’s books and it’s a damn shame because she writes some of the BEST bully/RH I’ve ever read and it’s some of the best because the bully isn’t half assed. He’s a legitimate nightmare for longer than just a few chapters. You have to grin and bear it and that’s where Broken By My Bully comes in…..
I legitimately get excited when I hear Logan is releasing a new book, her books are just different and this book is amazing. I was hooked. It was 514 pages and I read it front to back in a day and a quarter.
Where to start? Ah, yes. Haven Lee is quite the character. Coming from nothing, still having nothing, sleeping in her car but receiving an elusive grant to a prestigious college has brought her back to her hometown of Agony Hollow (I LOVE that name). She left suddenly at 16 and in doing so left her best friend Kai Jordan.
As little kids, their friendship was solid but as they got older, something changed, we don’t know exactly what yet, but there is a definite tonal change midway through the book during a flashback to their past.
Now Kai knows Haven is back, he’s happy, right? The absolute, complete opposite. He launches an unprecedented campaign of hate against her, bordering on violent (check your trigger warnings, Bully romance is definitely not for everyone so be aware before you read).and his brother, Ezra despises her.
On the other extreme, this is where my attention was hung 😍 Professor Bastian Rooke. He teaches, let’s just say, a unique course that Haven accidentally finds herself in….and she’s transfixed, as most of the female, and some of the male students are, by Professor Rooke. He’s in his thirties, well read, well clothed and everything Haven is not.
Bastian keeps you guessing. He’s all about the mind games. The claustrophobia of it all. He’s completely attracted to her, but keeps her dangling….he needs to mess with her head first, make her compliant, make her want till she can’t stand it…but there’s something extremely sinister about him, he has blackouts, you feel he’s done this before with other students and has moved locations multiple times over the years….and what is that persistent banging behind the hidden door that’s constantly locked in his office?
This is MMF so Haven’s about to get a slice of both Kai and Bastian pie. I wouldn’t be mad about it.
You’ve got two extremes of bullies .The one who verbally and physically bully’s and then the master manipulator, who uses words and triggers and his calming affect as his weapons.
This book ends on one hell of a cliffhanger and is the first book in a trilogy. Absolutely read this. If you love Bully, you’ll love this.
Wow I don’t think I can explain how much I loved this book in a review! I was hooked from the first page to the last, I feel like I’ve been put through an emotional wringer and then that cliffhanger!? I don’t know how I’m going to survive until book 2 comes out!
This is the first book I’ve read from Logan fox, despite having several in my tbr file, I’m so glad I read this one first! I loved everything about it, the storyline, the writing style, the pacing, the characters, just everything! I was intrigued when I read what the story was about but it far surpassed my expectations as to how much I was going to like it.
Poor haven has had a rough hand dealt to her in life, although we don’t know much about her past there’s hints throughout the storyline as to what she has endured. Despite the things she’s faced, she’s fought her way through it and earned a scholarship to better her life and improve her prospects. She’s a strong, fierce and independent character and I found myself really caring about her and what happens to her.
The book gives us some insight into the relationship between haven and Kai, who were childhood friends who for reasons I won’t divulge here (you need to read the book) become estranged before being reunited again a number of years later. Kai and havens relationship is complicated and very strained, under it all though there’s a strong connection and feelings tying them together, but outside forces seem to be manipulating them and conspiring against them to keep them apart.
Bastion/professor rooke came across as a predatory, manipulative creeper at first but as I got further into the story I think he’s not as dark and bad as I first thought, he really seems to care about haven, despite him believing it’s only surface level infatuation for her I think his feelings are much deeper than he realises.
I was completely hooked with the storyline, it’s well paced, well written and developed and gives just enough information to keep the story progressing and the reader engaged and questioning, trying to work out what’s happening and what’s coming next.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes dark romance, bully, student/professor, age gap, college romance tropes.
I will say that this is a dark romance and there are trigger warnings so definitely check them if you have any potential triggers as it definitely has dark elements to the story.

The story follows Haven Lee, a scholarship girl trying to escape her past, and Kai Jordan, her childhood best friend turned sadistic bully. Years ago, their shared trauma and games in the woods forged an intense bond—but Haven left, and now that she’s back at Agony Hollow, Kai wants vengeance. He’s not just bitter: he’s cruel, humiliating, and violent toward her from the moment they reunite. His obsession is palpable, veering into dub-con territory with choking, slurs, and degradation.
Layered into this is professor Bastian Rooke, Haven’s enigmatic teacher who runs the infamous “Lessons in Cruelty” course. He’s older, manipulative, and disturbingly magnetic. Rooke doesn’t just teach cruelty; he cultivates it, pulling strings between Kai and Haven while positioning himself as both mentor and predator. His presence turns the book into a tense triangle: Haven caught between the boy who wants to destroy her and the professor who wants to own her.
The book leans heavily into themes of power, obsession, and control: Haven’s scholarship depends on Rooke’s approval, and Kai is everywhere, smirking as he deconstructs her life piece by piece. Logan Fox doesn’t shy away from brutality—Kai spits on her, humiliates her in front of classmates, and seems almost gleeful in dragging her down. And yet, the chemistry is undeniable, and the lines between hate and desire blur constantly.
I have read also Forbidden Lessons, and I think the author may have changed her mind about the series structure. It feels like she rewrote Forbidden into Broken by My Bully, then carried parts of it into Stalked by My Professor. So the third book might actually be what was originally intended as the second part of Forbidden. So, while waiting for the second book, now we are waiting for second+third...

I've read a lot of bully/dark romances and the bullying in this one is definitely more intense than some of the others I've read, so check your triggers for sure. There's a ton of physical bullying, though there's also the emotional and verbal aspects.
The story is great, with many interesting characters. Haven and Kai have quite the unresolved issues, both with their past and their traumas. They have a past together that we get glimpses of, though we don't yet know the entire story. We know Kai and Haven were friends, though their friendship was born of trauma and the need to escape their lives. Their friendship was brutal at times, but it worked for them. Haven had to leave suddenly when she was 16, leaving behind Kai. This created some serious anger and resentment. So when she shows up at his college years later, he takes all that anger and hate out on her.
Professor Rooke is another interesting character in this story. He's the stern teacher who takes no crap from his students. He's somewhat of a safety net for Haven, or so she thinks. He provides some security and comfort, though he's made it clear his true goal is to manipulate and break Haven, so he can build her back up and mold her how he wants. It's an intense and intriguing relationship.
Haven ends up with two bullies, both who want her and who she wants back. This book was beautifully written and I've continued thinking about it since finishing it. It does end on a cliffhanger. I look forward to reading the next book when it comes out!

This has dark themes bubbling under the surface which haven't come to light yet and it kept me hooked. Its a little different to the usual bully romances I have read as in the bullying is really only coming from one of the MMCs for the majority of the book rather than the whole school or a group of mean girls.
Kai and Haven are pretty toxic at the moment; Kai has turned on Haven for reasons unknown to her and although we get some broad strokes, their past is still a bit of a mystery. There are some physical scenes which are pretty tough to get through with both Kai and Haven getting shots in at each other. Then we have Bastien who I can't quite work out; he's got Haven in his sights but is it as a test subject or something more? The tension really builds and although it didn't go in the darkest direction it could have done, the final chapter is pretty rough. I don't even know if we are at rock bottom yet but I'd really like some karma in book two. And a grovel...

My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read.

This is the story of Haven and Kai. She is a girl who comes from absolutely nothing. And to this day she has nothing. She sleeps in her car but goes to a prestigious college, she is now back in her hometown of Agony Hollow. When she was sixteen she left the town but when she did she left behind her very best friend Kia. They had a such a special friendship when they were kids. But, when they got older, things began to change. I loved that we don't find out all there is go know but do get flash backs of that time period when something happens and you just know it is going to be big because you can feel it in your bones. Now, however, Kai knows that Haven is back and he is not happy about that at all. He is out to get her and his plans are to launch a campaign of hate around the school where she is concerned. So much so, that it is almost violent in nature. I am telling you, I was no fan of this guy for this. I don't think I can tell you much more than this. I think you need to discover it on your own. I loved every second of this book. I don't think I mentions this is a MMF romance. I am going to let you discover the other characters on your own. After all that is the fun in reading.
Lessons in Cruelty Dark Academia series Book 1 of a trilogy.
Wow, I was not prepared for the psychological mind f@#k this book would be. This is not your usual run-of-the-mill bully romance. This dark psychological bully romance was intense and unhinged to say the least. In true Logan Fox fashion, she played games with not only my head but also my heart and blew me away. I was hooked from the start. This book is so twisted that I was squirming at the edge of my seat, and flying through the pages.
The main characters had a depth to them with many interesting layers to unravel. I found the MCs so intriguing and I was eager to get to know their inner thoughts through the multiple points of view. They weave a tangled web with each other. The connections they developed were complicated and their chemistry was extra steamy.
You'll love this book if you enjoy the following tropes: Bully Menage Possessiveness Kinks Age-gap Friends-to-enemies-to-lovers Second chance Taboo Morally-gray Professor/Student Spice And more...
Check TW
Multiple POV Haven is the resilient FMC. Kai is her childhood BFF turned bully. Bastian is the mind-playing professor.
Logan Fox is a master of darkly addictive storytelling with characters who push the limits and make me angry, sad, and hungry for each interaction! Haven and Kai have history: friends to enemies with wildly varying ranges of emotion and physical trauma that began as children and now college. They both carry scarred bodies and minds that confuse them and cause so many conflicted feelings. The pain and pleasure they give each other is volatile!!
Even better, Professor Rook is a brilliant psychoanalyst who has a very dark side and his interest in Haven speaks to his psychotic mind. The intensity between them is visceral and creates more confusion for her as she responds to his demands. Crossing lines, lies and secrets, betrayals, and misunderstandings keep each of them on the edge and their warring emotions add to the constant pain and chaos. The cliffhanger is gut wrenching: I’m so invested in this story that it’s difficult to wait for the next book!!!.

Book 1 of Lessons In Cruelty Dark Academia Series by Logan Fox is a rollercoaster of psychological mind games. It's very dark and twisted in so many wrong and right ways. It's spicy, raw, emotional and oh so good. Haven the FMC is a wonderful character who has struggled through life from her childhood on. The MMC's are each in their own way wonderful characters. Kai her green eyed childhood friend and Professor Bastian Rooke want to break her and own her. All three of them are damaged and have trauma from their childhood. And what the heck is Ezra's problem with Haven? I absolutely devoured this book. So if you like the darkness you don't want to miss this suspenseful, crazy, emotional, trauma, mind fk,addiction, heart wrenching story. Please check TW before reading. Logan is a wonderful author. I highly recommend this book. And after the cliffhanger at the end I am ready for the next book like right now.
Wow, wow, wow, this is no mills and boon, unicorn and rainbows book. This was dark as in the middle of the night, no lights on kind of dark. Haven really does have a hard time, hated and bullied by her childhood best friend for reasons unbeknown to her and yet she’s strong and resilient, he will not break her or stop her studying. I’m in two minds about Kai, he showed no redeeming qualities till the end when confronting Ethan who is a nasty piece of work btw, The professor has secrets and when you think he’s decent he alters but in a twisted way he does seem to like Haven. This ends on a cliffhanger. This is dark, triggering, steamy and yet so addictive. If you like age gap, dark romance with a little cruelty then it’s a must read. Beware of tw’s so read up on this. I await the next book in anticipation. So many questions.
I’m left reeling. This book started off kinda slow for me, but once hooked I was HOOKED. I NEED book two like yesterday. I can’t stress to you enough to check the trigger warnings if that’s your thing, because this book is dark in all the best ways. You’re almost guessing the entire time, but in that keep you on your toes kinda way. It’s not your average bully romance, & probably just what you need if in the middle of a book funk. It’s so refreshing and full of substance. While it’s definitely spicy, it’s plot with some spice, in the most tasteful way. Not like those books that literally hit pause on the plot because another spicy scene as if the other 49 spicy scenes weren’t enough. Literally don’t wait. DOWNLOAD NOW! Just prepare yourself for that cliffhanger and cross your fingers that book two’s releases date is moved up expeditiously!
Broken By My Bully is the first book in the Lessons in Cruelty series. This is a dark Academia series and contains subject matter and themes that could be triggering so please make sure you read the warnings before reading. This is the story of Haven, Kai and Bastian. Haven is the poor girl from the wrong side of town, just wanting to better her life. Kai is the former boy from the wrong side of town with the grudge against his former best friend. Bastian is the dark brooding professor playing a disturbing game. Will truth come to light on what truly happened between Haven and Kai? Will they be able to forgive each other and move forward? How does Bastian play into this story? Fantastic start to a new series and can't wait to see what comes next!!!
Great dark bully romance story. I was totally hooked in this story that's about Haven a poor girl trying to make a better life. This is about her experiences after returning back to Agony Hollow after earning a scholarship. Kai Jordan her childhood friend who now has a personal grudge against her and Bastian Rooke the professor are the men who tug on her emotional strings. Logan did a great job laying the groundwork on this twisty romance tale. I'd liked the characters introduced and the story kept me entertained. Two warnings 1. This ends in a cliffy, the only bad thing for me, now I must wait for part two. 2. Could be dark triggers for some people but I'd enjoy reading dark romance, so it was fine by me. I'd volunteer to read and review this enjoyable copy I'd received.
I wasn't a fan of Haven at first, and it took time to get into the plot—it ends on a cliffhanger, so heads up. Haven and Kai share a twisted history full of weird childhood "games" that Kai misinterprets as her needing pain, fueling his grudge. But the real issue? Classic miscommunication: He blames her for something from when she was 16, shuts down every explanation, and bullies her nonstop—trigger warning for that. Enter Professor Rooke: He's protective yet possessive, and she both craves and resents it. This isn't your standard romance—it's messy from past to present, and honestly, the book's length could've clarified their backstory more.

This story pulled me in with its dark, twisted energy. Haven Lee returns to Agony Hollow on a hard-earned scholarship, only to face her former best friend, Kai, who’s now crueler and determined to break her. The tension between them is brutal and addictive, but what really hooked me was Professor Bastian Rooke. He’s magnetic, manipulative, and terrifyingly unreadable, the kind of character who keeps you guessing whether he’s a protector or a predator. This isn’t your typical bully romance; it’s darker, sharper, and full of psychological games. The cliffhanger left me reeling, and I need book two immediately. Definitely check trigger warnings, but if you love intense, morally gray romance, this one is for you.
Broken by My Bully by Logan Fox This was one of the best books I have read! I like my characters to be dark but these three main characters are off their rockers! Haven has seen Heaven by an inch of her life. I have a love / hate relationship with Kai. But as bad as it seems I want Professor Bastian to be included in this trio! Hint hint to our author. Ezra deserves his beat down! What an A**. But we need to know why all the aggressive attitude towards Haven and his brother. You’ll feel crushed by this cliffhanger. Geez this will kill me for waiting to get the next book to see how this goes!.

I don't even no where to start on this book.. this book was so full of emotions.. I was liking this book cause it's something different to what I normally read. But by the end of it, I was a mess.. I've only ever cried at one book & I told myself I wouldn't do it again. Boy, was I wrong.. I listened to some on the amazon Kindle app, when I was busy.. wish I had kept reading, cause the last couple of chapters, that's when everything got serious.. Would I recommend this to anyone, yes, 100% in a heartbeat, if this is the kind of book you read..

4/5 ⭐️ 2/5🌶️ I don't know what it was, but this is definitely different from most of the bully romances I have read. Maybe mostly due to Bastian's interactions with Kai & Haven both? It feels wrong but I love his character and his manipulating. Haven is tenacious and love her and Kai's background with each other. I do wish more detail was provided on Kai' and Bastian's history; it's hinted at, so hopefully more will come out in the next book to provide more insights to why they are the way they are. Great cliffhanger that definitely has me ready for the follow-up.

Wow, what can I say, it’s never a disappoint in reading one of Logan’s books. I am here for the mind games, twist and turns and the ever loving curiosity. It’s all here this book left me wanting more I can’t wait for the next book. I must say I love that Haven, Kai and Bastian all have a similar story, and taste. I also, love that Haven is very smart and using her wits when it comes to Bastian and Kai. What I love most is when Kai finally takes his power back. This series is going to be phenomenal, I can’t wait.

I rounded up for my review to go with a solid 4 but I did have a few issues with this story. Kai and Haven have a difficult history and a large part of Kai's issues with Haven stem from a past incident but he refuses to hear her out ever. I feel a lot of the back and forth could have been resolved before it reached the level it did if only he were open to a conversation and communicating. But, there wouldn't be a story with a villian, a lesser villian, and a girl who fights her way out of the terror she has lived through. Read the TWs before going in.

Broken by my Bully is the first book in the Lessons in Cruelty Dark Academia series. This book is about Haven Lee, Kai, and Bastian, and is told from all of their points of view.
Haven Lee and Kai were friend growing up. Both living on the wrong side of town. Something happened and Haven Lee disappeared. Now years later, she's won a scholarship to a college, and who does she run into but Kai. Kai wants to make her pay for what happened in the past.
However, her new professor Bastian has his own plans for Haven Lee. He knows someone is hurting Haven Lee, and he wants to be the one to hurt her his own way.
The ending to this book surprised me, and I'm super excited to see what happens next in this series.
This is the first book in the Lessons in Cruelty series. Haven had been through a lot in the past. Kai was her childhood friend and helped her through things. After being moved away from town, Haven is back three years later and starting school again. Kai is there but has changed. He is cruel now and vows to break her. We have an ex-friend turned bully and added to the mix, a morally grey professor. I loved the characters and then tension between the characters. It is a great bully romance story. A new series that left me speechless with its intro. There is no slow and easy introduction to this story - it takes off running and keeps going the merciless pace until you fall off the cliff at the end. The trigger warnings are given, read them and determine isms this story is for you. A Logan Fox book is always a twisted wide ride but I think she may have outdone herself with this addictive masterpiece. The only disappointment - having to wait for book two. Enjoy!.

This is Book 1 in the Lessons in Cruelty Dark Academia Series by this author. It is the start of the dark college bully romance between Haven, her former best friend Kai, and brooding professor Bastian. These flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. It is an emotional ride with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, twists and turns. Seriously entertaining with a cliffhanger ending.

Pain is a constant. What you do with it makes stronger. I loved this book & I couldn't put it down. The way Kai & Bastian push Haven to her breaking point. You can also never know what or how people take being slighted even if it's not your fault. I loved the way Logan portrayed both kai's & Bastian 'sdark sides. All & all i would totally recommend this book for any one who loves to see how dark people can be as well as how far people can be pushed before they break.

If you enjoy sweet romance with a loveable MC then don't read this book! Now, if you like hot, steamy, dark and dangerous MCs that will make you feel anxious and get your heart rate going then this book is definitely for you. It's well written, you can picture the characters easily and the atmosphere is charged and puts you on edge. I would say check out the triggers as some scenes can be uncomfortable.

Haven, Kai and Bastion have a story woven so tight you can't see the holes. Complicated repressed traumatized doesn't begin to let you in on their world. Collision and wreckage with a side of disparity is definitely the name of the game. After all the crazy, with things leading up to our biggest fall yet, we find it's not over. I couldn't be more happy about it. I want more of this dysfunctional trio and can't wait until the next book!.
3.5 Stars - Definitely a dark bully story so be prepared for possible triggers. The plot was pretty good. There were times though that I couldn't with Haven, she came off as childish and naive for someone who had to grow up fast from the poor side of town. At times it was hard to see why the male characters were obsessed with her.
