Fate in Pieces by Danielle Lynn: 4.5 ⭐️

Being a part of Danielle’s debut novel series has been extremely special. A sneak peek before the public’s eye gets a hold of them is so enthralling. Being one of those people she trusts with her work before she releases them is a gift I don’t have the proper words for, but what I can say is, Fate in Pieces closes this trilogy beautifully.

Fate in Pieces releases on September 23rd, and follows Aubrey’s younger sister, Brielle and Lincoln’s best friend, Elijah. In order to better understand, Brielle & Elijah, you MUST read books 1 & 2. I mean you don’t HAVE TO, but it definitely helps as both books collide with book 3.

There is age gap (11 years), strangers to friends to lovers and set in a small town. Healing trauma, so please check those trigger warnings, there will be a QR Code you can scan at the beginning of the book with the list to help you. A bad boy falling for the good girl and redemption! Who doesn’t love a good redemption story?!

And let’s not forget, spice! 🌶️ There was definitely no lacking in this book. 🥵
There were some parts that had me blushing, squealing while kicking my feet like an excited little girl at Christmas and parts that made me ‘Awwweeee’ out loud and the added touch of humour made this book a chefs kiss 😘

I cannot wait to see what Danielle releases in the future, because if they’re anything like her Fated trilogy, I already know everyone’s going to eat it up!

This is such a beautiful story. I absolutely loved this book! It had me feeling ALL the emotions! This is definitely Danielle’s most emotional book and I’m here for it.

Danielle writes relatable characters and uses real life situations. When I was reading it, I forgot that these characters were not real life people! Their story felt so real! She always writes characters that you’ll fall in love with and get attached to. Plus the character development in this book ahhhhh!

I absolutely loved Brielle, I wanted her book the second I met her in the first book. She’s such a strong female character and extremely relatable. I just love everything about her. Don’t even get me started on Elijah 🤭. That man never fails to make me giggle and kick my feet! I WILL always eat up the reformed player trope.

Before reading this I thought for a fact Elijah would be my new favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE him but l’ll always be a Lincoln girl!! Ahh, I was eating up all the crumbs we got of him. I missed him. There isn’t a day I’m not thinking about Lincoln.

I’m going to miss this series and the characters. Can’t wait to read whatever Danielle writes next!

Thank you Danielle for allowing me to read this before release day.

Danielle Lynn does it again!! I absolutely loved this book! it was the perfect way to conclude the series. The experiences and traumas that Brielle and Elijah endured felt incredibly real and will resonate with so many readers, making both characters deeply relatable. Their romance is written with vulnerability, sensitivity, and depth, pulling you into their emotional journey from start to finish.

Fate in Pieces is a powerful and moving read. While it explores heavy and intense topics, Danielle Lynn balances the weight with just the right amount of humor and spice, creating a story that is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It’s an emotional rollercoaster in the best way possible, and a beautiful ending to a memorable series.

What a fantastic ending to a very lovable series! Brielle and Elijah absolutely have my heart! These characters have been through so much both before they meet each other and together, and I love their growth.

As with all of Danielle's works, we have received a well-rounded story, full of found family, tragedy, growth, kindness, and healing. The series is wrapped up so well with this book, including some moments we have already seen in the previous books, giving us the perspective we have been waiting for, as though Danielle was hiding easter eggs for us all along. I was so happy to see Brielle's story and get to watch her get the love and care that she deserves from herself and those around her. I can not wait to see what this author does next.

Another great book by Miss Danielle Lynn!

Danielle does a great job of cover hard topics wrapped up in a love story.

I spent a big apart of my time reading this book just wanting to reach in and shake the two and yell "come on all ready!" and I mean this in a good way. I feel so much love for all the characters!

I think this has been my favorite of the trilogy! The struggles on the MMC were so raw and real. The connection between the two main characters is so special. The time, love, and care that Eli put into making Brie feeling safe is so precious! Great job!👏

Just wow, a whirlwind of emotions, trauma, and true love! This is a beautiful story about two people who have their own struggles and trauma they must overcome. It will have you in your feels all the way through, and the spice turns up in all thebright places!
Brielle is an artist who struggles with SA trauma and hasn't allowed herself to have a real relationship since. She meets Elijah, a Rockstar who could have any woman he wants. He also struggles and develops a real problem with alcoholism as well as family problems. They instantly find comfort in one another, and their friendship blossoms into something unexpected. As they navigate each other's needs and grow fonder of each other, other things seem to take root. A family illness puts things into perspective for Elijah as he tries to make amends and put his life back together. Just as things seem to have gotten better for them both, things go off kilter when Elijah experiences a real loss and tries to numb his pain with his favorite vice. This time, he goes too far and and things end badly. Although this mistake will be one they might not make it back from. A classic case of if you love someone you have to let them go, will have you in tears. Will their love be strong enough to find its way back to one another?

.. What to Expect ..
small town romance, rockstar romance, age gap, addiction, touch her and die, mine, abuse, lessons, romance, death, if you love them let them go, AA/rehab, found family, HEA, spicy, trust, instant attraction, and more!

ARC Review

Fate in Pieces by Danielle Lynn

Brielle Miller went through something devastating in high school that shaped the course of her life. It took her years to leave the pain behind and reclaim her broken pieces. She was finally ready to find someone she could truly connect with—but trust was still something she struggled with. Enter Elijah Ryder, vocalist of the Reckless Riders and her brother-in-law’s best friend. He carried his own demons and believed himself unworthy of love. Could two shattered souls find healing through each other?

This is one of the most emotional books I’ve read this year. The connection between Brielle and Elijah is deep and powerful. Both characters face heavy personal struggles, yet they help each other heal in meaningful ways. Their journey isn’t smooth—there are ups and downs throughout—but the ending is absolutely beautiful.

Danielle Lynn does an incredible job of portraying the struggles of those dealing with trauma and addiction. While the story is intense and emotional, it also includes lighthearted moments, humor, and just the right amount of spice.

I highly recommend this book to readers who love heartfelt, emotional romances with healing, depth, and hope.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to arc this book. I've loves this whole series and am sad to see it end.
Fate in Pieces by Danielle Lynn is an emotional and heartfelt read that blends romance with a powerful story of healing. Brielle’s journey from brokenness to strength is written with real sensitivity, and I appreciated that her growth didn’t feel rushed or simplified. Her chemistry with Eli brings just the right mix of tension and tenderness, and I enjoyed how their relationship built slowly and believably over time.

What stood out most to me was the depth of Brielle’s character and the way the author handled trauma—respectfully, but without shying away from the difficult parts. The pacing did drag a little at times, and the “bad boy romance” trope felt familiar, but overall the story kept me engaged and invested in the characters.

This book is perfect if you enjoy romance with real emotional stakes, strong character development, and a balance of heartbreak and hope. A moving, well-written story that leaves you rooting for love and healing.

Oh my gosh where do I even start. This is the third book in the Fate series. This book follows Brielle and Elijah. Bri is a college student whom falls for the bad boy Eli.

Eli and Bri meet thru her sister because Eli is best friends with her sister fiancé. Well fate definitely brings them together in this book
There’s trauma between the to, that helps them heal. This is a must series to read.

It’s age gap
Slow burn
Rockstar
Trauma
Healing
And happiness

By far this third book is my favorite. Check the series out. You won’t be disappointed. They are standalones but they do interconnect.

Fate in Pieces is a deeply emotional romance about healing, trust, and second chances. Danielle Lynn weaves a powerful story of two broken souls—Brielle and Elijah—each carrying the weight of past trauma and loss. As they slowly learn to open their hearts, the novel explores whether love can truly mend what’s been shattered. Heartfelt, intense, and ultimately hopeful, this story will resonate with readers who believe in the transformative power of love.

I laughed, I cried, I cringed, I mentally wanted to castrate one of the dudes in the book. I loved the found family aspect of the entire series. I love how everything tied together at the end. I love that they were able to take the time to sort through their issues separately. My fave trope is best friends to lovers and I love that it is represented so well in all 3 books.
