I generally don't like short stories, but every once in awhile I pick one up to see if that is still the case. It is. The Back to Bad series is a collection of 5 shorts featuring Lacey a strong-willed, stripper with a penchant for all things bad. It may be 5 stories, but they are shorts. I couldn't find enough depth to the characters to help me to connect to them or care about them. The stories were fun, but not particularly engaging for me.
That being said, if you are looking for a "one-night-stand" with a powerful bad girl, Lacey will give you a wild ride.

OMG! I am in LOVE with Lacey and this book. Jade does an incredible job of making you fall in love with Lacey and you are torn between being disgusted with what she does and feeling bad for her because of her life. Lacey goes from stripper to bank robber to murderer all in the first book and then can add a few more titles by the end...arsonist, escape artist isn't so far fetched. Lacey has such a strong, self assured personality, that I think it makes you want to be her in a way-not the bad girl part so much, or maybe so, I'll leave that up to you to decide ;). I love the way Jade ends the series, not a cliffhanger, but yet open for her to write more Lacey, which I am definitely in favor of! It's also an easy read, meaning nothing real deep and not hard to follow and keep track of, which is always refreshing. I like deep thought provoking books sometimes, but sometimes you just want something easy to follow and fun...a good break for something new and fresh!

This book has so many things I enjoy in a novel. Excellent writing/ storytelling, suspense, and put simply-- Intrigue. Lacey Caldez is one of my fave heroines of all-time. She is strong, intense, and unpredictable. Her circumstances and past have formed who she is, and I loved learning more about her, book by book. Anyone who enjoys reading all the books of a series together will love this package. Eby writes a story that sticks with you far after you're finished reading and I look forward to reading more by this talented author.

I really enjoyed the stories. It was a quick, fast paced read. Only took .5 star off because the last bad guy standing was right there and they still fled. And Lacey has the itch back. is it over or will there be more? 4.5 stars.

Wow! Not at all what I was expecting. But in a good way. This was a quick, fast paced read that's hard to put down once you realize just how bad Lacey is! I seriously think my jaw dropped at the end of book one. I hope to read more about her crazy life!
