HERO /HEROINE:
Piper is a pet sitter who has had bad luck with her most recent client trying to manipulate his way into her bed, the new tactic, suing her.

Landon is a lawyer with an icy heart.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
Landon is probably one of the very few relaxed and sweet mmcs in the AR universe. Still a fast paced story, but Landon was very chill about Piper. He was soft spoken and careful with her, he provided a safe place for her but didn't push her for sex, just steadily reminded her his intentions with her were pure and not temporary.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
We didn't seem much of a show down conclusion with Bob, we were just told what happened on page. Anticlimactic.

I hadn’t read an Alexa Riley book in several years, because they were hard to find on Amazon.
at least newer books were hard to find.

This was an expensive book for less than 100 pages, and I’m not impressed. It was a quick little novella and the storyline was a quick meet and dull connection. This book with the kittens angst thrown in bordered on ridiculous.
Compared to the books I used to read from this Author the writing is no comparison to the quality I’m used to in her prior works.

I’m sorry, but I will not be reading any more of these. I’d rather reread her previous works where there were real plots, intense emotions and unbelievable characters who were amazing. Books like
The Judge.

rpido, corto y sin mucha trama, en una desvelada me entretuvo, los personajes son cutes pero todo es circunstancial, amor a primera vista, el problema inicial se resuelve por un tercero sin que se entere la protagonista, que quisiera embarazarla la primera vez juntos o segunda es como un monton porque SEÑOR SI ES QUE ELLA SE QUERIA LIBRAR DE ESO, pero bueno entretenido.

This was a pretty cute novella. I normally don’t like insta-love, but give grace when it’s a short book. I actually enjoyed the insta-love in this one. The chemistry was there, and I love a good cat-person. This had the great bones for a full length (less insta-love) novel.

This was so ridiculous, it cracked me up. Insta-love, insta-possessive, insta-everything. I guess since it’s this short there is no time for development. But come on, a law firm on a sixty-sixth floor with a pet store and a vet in the area. Not even bothering to make this a tad-bit believable?

I was more interest about what was going on with Bob and his wife than Piper and Landon.

This was a cute novella. These two are smitten from the get go and have a good connection. Landon wants Piper to be in his life and will stop at nothing until he gets it. It was good and slightly steamy.

This was a cute quick read. Landon is the sexy lawyer in charge of the case. Piper is a sweet girl down on her luck. It is a love at first sight for him situation. It is sweet, not an over the top steam fest.

What did i read?!!! The synopsis sounded so interesting that i dived right in and Its not like I didnt like it, it was an okay read. But nowhere it was written this was a novella (I am not a fan of novella's).
It was so fast paced I couldn't wrap my head around, like they just meet, he helps her, she moves in, and they kiss and fall in love. I just didnt understand. The synopsis had so much of potential to be a proper novel.
Alas!! It was an okay read.
