When I find my fiancé cheating on me, I make the mistake of turning to the one man who wants to destroy my ex more than I do… his brother.
Once upon a time I was torn between the two of them. Dean Graham laid his heart on the line and asked me to choose him, but I couldn’t for reasons he can never find out about. He left town and I haven’t seen him since.
Now I’m at his mercy in the heart of Vegas and he’s nothing like the rancher I remember.
He’s Jaded. Cold.
A Twisted King.
He’s a permanent fixture at his MC’s strip club, and he’s spent more years behind bars recently than free from them.
If I were smart, I’d have hightailed it back to Texas the second we came face to face. Except now that he has me a second time, he refuses to let me go.
Dean makes me beg.
Bargain.
Crawl…
If I want his help ruining his brother, I’m going to have to let him ruin me first.
Author's Note: Chaos is a dark, ex-boyfriend's brother, MC romance with a morally grey hero, heavy subject matter, mature content, and explicit scenes. Content/TWs (which contain spoilers) can be found on author's website. 18+ Standalone with HEA guaranteed
Eva Simmons writes dark contemporary and gothic fantasy romance. With over twenty published books, Eva is constantly crafting new worlds and falling for the anti-hero in all of them. When Eva isn’t dreaming up stories or devouring every book she can get her hands on, she can be found spending time with her family, painting a fresh canvas, or playing an elf in World of Warcraft.
Eva is currently living out her own happily ever after in the Midwest with her family.
I knew I was going to love this characters from page one in Legacy’s book, and then going back to the beginning I realized I was already in deep. I needed them to find their happiness, and I trusted Eva with my life.
Her stories carry both the spicy and fun side and the emotional and intimate aspects of deep love stories. And Chaos was a layered one.
Dean really was aimless and just cruising. Running from his past, but sudden having it back on his sights made him realize Willa was just what he needed. To see him fight his longing, his fears and his anger for her. He gave in…and what a sight. I truly couldn’t ask for a more devoted man, from the second he saw her after those 12 years, he was hers.
And my girl Willa was the sweetest bad girl. She had a wild streak and was forced to hide it to fit in, to be loved she had to change and for love she had to let go of Dean. But once she decided to be selfish and leave it was glorious. The banter between them was just right and the sweet easy moments made everything worth it.
I can’t wait for Soul’s book after that ending because wdym?!? I just marvel at Eva’s plotting and will be first in line for more!!
Thank you, TAA and Eva, for this earc!!
Quotes:
While he's Chaos to everyone else, to me, he still feels like home.
"You were a bad girl tonight, Willa." He kisses the lace again, and I shiver. "Walking up on my stage." His tongue drags over me, and I'm shaking. "Showing other men what was always supposed to be mine."
"You want me to eat this delicious pussy? I do like hearing you beg. Finally understanding who you've always belonged to." "Please, Dean."
"Fuck, I missed you. Your smile. Your laugh. Your soul. I've never needed anything like I need you in my life."
When she walked back into my life, I knew that was it. Even if she rejected me all over again. My heart begins and ends with her. My life begins and ends with her. Together, we're going to have the life my brothers thought I never wanted.
Willa Elliot chose the wrong brother. Instead of choosing Dean “Chaos” Graham, she chose his brother, Kincaid who cheated on her. Now Dean is the only one she knows to turn to that would want to hurt Kincaid more than herself. Will he help her without wanting something in return? His MC may be the only place ready to protect what’s coming her way. This is the perfect dark, MC romance with action, intensity and two souls that belong together. I loved Chaos and his true feelings he was fighting to let take ahold of for Willa. I can’t wait to read more in this series. Told in first person and dual POV.
I enjoyed the pacing of this story but at times it felt like there was an over explanation of scenes throughout to have a dramatic impact. I think this book will be a solid read for others it just didn’t quite hit that mark for me.
