Charles Henson the Third was a frustrated man. Having recently parted ways with his girlfriend, he was free to focus on the business of his bank, and business was very good. However, his attention was repeatedly drawn to the beautiful and free spirited Fiona Chandler. As executor for her grandfather’s will, Charles was responsible for overseeing any disbursements from the estate, but he found himself taking a much more personal interest in this client than normal. And lately that interest was becoming much harder to suppress.
Fiona was not interested in any conversation about her grandfather’s money, but all too interested in spending any time with Charles! Though formal and conservative, she was drawn to his brilliance with numbers just as much as his broad shoulders. But Fiona was worried that Charles’ ever present concerns about her finances would raise questions that she didn’t want to answer. Because if he found out more about what she did with her time, he might never be hers…

"Releasing the Billionaire's Passion" is the story of Fiona and Charles.
Super sweet love story with an eternally positive and bubbly h and a smitten, grumpy H. From calling him "uncle" to hugging strangers, the h does anything and everything to exasperate the H. Soon cupid strikes them both, and after some chitty chitty bang bang, we get our HEA!
I do enjoy Elizabeth Lennox's books, in this one Charles Henson the Third is a stuffy regimented banker, hardworking and very set in his ways, not sounding very romantic? well he's also tall, dark and handsome, of course and he's very attracted to the flighty and free spirited Fiona Chandler. These two are complete opposites who are both fighting their attraction to each other to the extend where it's becoming an obsession and as you can imagine they can only fight it for so long. This is entertaining and sweet read, when Charles is explaining finances to Fiona she's daydreaming about him, not listening to a word he's saying, he's also struggling to maintain his composure. There's no surprises, shocks or drama just a nice little romance between two completely different people.

Wow, did not enjoy this (seems like i'm in the minority of reviewers here!). Found the characters annoying and couldn't understand why they were in love with each other. Neither was a bad or evil person, but they both bugged me for different reasons and certainly I couldn't see them being together long term. Novellas are tough, I would like to try one of the author's full length novels next time!
In this story opposites attract. I love Charles. He has fallen in love with the quirky Fiona, a client with his bank. Fiona has also fallen in love, with the straight laced rigid banker. Short sweet read. Linda
I love this novella. It's probably one of my favorite works by Elizabeth Lennox. Fiona's outrageousness next to Charles's control is so fun to read about! I highly recommend any book by this author and recommend that you read her series in order if possible.
Not great, but okay. Story actually ends at 77%,with the rest dedicated to other books and excerpt from the series to try to get you to keep reading. The story itself progressed quickly and didn't have a lot of depth. Okay for a free book.
Quite good. I liked the fact that Fiona makes Charles lose control. He is not reserved when he is with her. Totally lovable. I liked the character development even though it was short.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Charles Henson III, a wealthy banker recently single, finds himself unexpectedly drawn to Fiona Chandler, a free-spirited woman tied to a family estate he manages. Their growing attraction is complicated by financial secrets Fiona fears revealing. This is a slow-burn billionaire romance mixing business intrigue with heartfelt connection.
Charles is the complete opposite of Fiona. He's regimented, precise, absolute. He sees the world as it is, not what it could be. He likes order, schedules, facts, figures. Fiona... Well, she's not like him at all. She's splashes of color in his black and white world, chaos to his calm, smiles to his stoicism. She brings excitement into his life, makes him want what he doesn't have: her.
Their story is sweet, sexy, and entertaining. They share this mutual belief that neither of them are good enough for the other. It's amusing to read their inner dialogues as they battle attraction and desire before finally acting on both. Can you say totally worth the wait? ;) Despite Fiona's inexperience with men, it's incredible to see how much passion and fire she pulls out of Charles with just a look, a touch, a sway of her hips, and it's amusing to know that Charles is helpless to her siren's call.
Charles and Fiona's story is a delightful addition to Ms. Lennox's "The Alfieri Saga" series. It's got a little bit of everything I need in a novella: memorable characters, undeniable attraction, tangible desire, and declarations of love. A short, fun story about how opposites most definitely attract.
Charles and Fiona. Not sure what their ages are, but I figure Charles is at least a decade older. He takes over the bank from his father at some point and one of his clients is Fiona's controlling jerk of a grandfather. Charles doesn't know what a sexist pig her grandfather was and so is puzzled that Fiona never wants to access the money she inherited. She knows there are strings attached to the money as her grandfather tries to keep controlling her even from beyond the grave. She does however, meet with Charles regularly about her grandfather's investments, just to gaze longingly at Charles. She has loved him since she was a girl and holds no hope of his ever returning her affections. They are too different. He is very proper and conservative. His ex-fiance was very voluptuous and conservative. Fiona is slender and quirky and expressive. Charles knows she is a student but isn't really sure how she pays for it all. When he finds out the secret way that she makes a living... his reaction isn't what she feared it would be but something much much better! It's cheesy, it's light, and also sweet and humorous. Pretty sexy too!
This is such a sweet Novella. I loved the chemistry between the two characters and I could feel the pull and connection that they have toward each other. Charles is an Old Fashioned, Straight Laced, Workaholic Banker who just happens to be a Billionaire. Fiona is a Free Spirit who refuses to give into her Late Grandfathers demands in order to control her life. Charles wants Fiona to start taking life seriously and stop being such a fly by the seat of her pants kind of girl. Fiona wanted Charles to loosen up a bit and stop being such a stick in the mud. What they both want more than anything, is each other but they don't feel like they are right for one another. Their long running attraction for one another is becoming a problem and neither one is willing to give in.
Elizabeth Lennox never ceases to amaze me. She is truly one of my favorite authors. I've read 97% of her books and have truly loved them all. Charles Henson is a lawyer, and a "stuffed shirt" one at that. Fiona Chandler is his ward "so to speak" as her grandfather has passed away and Charles is appointed executor of his will in which Fiona get EVERYTHING. There's only one problem, she doesn't want it or anything to do with it. Fiona has her own dreams. Charles takes a personal interest in Fiona, poor girl, can't even balance her checkbook. Things heat up when they don't see eye to eye. Which one gets their way? READ and find out. You will enjoy the battle of the wits! FUNNY, ROMANTIC, AND HOT!
I loved this short story. At the end the author said this was only a sample of her writing and that her other pieces of work are more developed and in depth. But if this was a sample, than I will be buying a lot more from this authors work. This is a story I would read again. I connected with the characters. Overview. Charles the 3rd was a brilliant banker. He has been helping Fiona with her banking and inheritance since her grand father past away. Both fight it the attraction. But things will change soon in many way.
I wanted to like this a lot more than I did; the characters left me wishing they weren't so stereotypical. Fiona is portrayed as a dumb and clueless broad while Charles thinks mostly below the belt. I get this is an erotica, and it is a short, but the characters were so incapable of rational thought I was annoyed with both of them.
The writing wasn't terrible, but there were quirks to the style I found jarring.
Would have liked if there was just more to both characters as people instead of vessels for sex.
What a delightful short read. Charles a Banker and Fiona a free spirited client of his are secretly in Love with each other and neither know of each other’s love. When they meet for their monthly client meetings each is francizing about the other and feeling that it is so inappropriate but unable to do anything about it. Will they finally be able to fulfill their longing for one another and what will it take for them to finally find out what they feel for one another.
Charles was the conservative banker and Fiona was a free spirit. After her grandfather's death, Charles was placed in charge of her financial thru her grandfather's will. But Fiona had come to love him even though she knew she would never measure up to her idea of a banker's wife. Little did she know.
This was a good read but it was too short. I wanted more of Charles and Fiona. They were to cute both wanting each other but keep fighting. I love Fiona's strong will. She was deter,in to make it on her on. I love her job. I love Charles his protective was awesome. His Fiona too cute. This couple needs another book they are not done.
Fiona is in love with Charles and it breaks my heart hearing her thought on how she gets on his nerves but then he can't look away from her but he don't think she's sophisticated enough to be his wife. I feel my heart break and cry. He finally realizes his shit don't stink and grabs on tight!!! It's short but one my favorites

What a great writer. It takes talent to write a short story that the reader doesn't feel like anything was left out. Pick up this free read for a sweet hot romance. I am looking forward to reading her full novels.
Elizabeth Lennox always plus you into the story and rooting for the heroine and her hero to get to there HE A. Check out this tale of a flighty female who meets her match in a stodgy banker.
Short and sweet. I'm not sure how this author does it, but the heat between the main characters is always there. Chemistry? They all have it in spades.
