LEJOG on your tod: Cycling the length of Britain

Rate this book
In March 2013 Jason turned 43 years old. As he pumped up his bicycle tyre at the side of the road the rain pounded his head with a ferocity that made public transport seem strangely attractive. It occurred to him that he had cycled to work almost every day for over a decade. A bicycle of sorts had always been present in his life, he had spent months in the saddle and pedaled many, many thousands of miles.

After all that time spent on a bicycle, Jason suddenly realised that he had never really ventured very far from home on one. Thousands of miles and 43 years and he had never really been anywhere.

This is the tale of Jason’s solo cycle ride from Lands End to John O’Groats on a bottom of the range touring bike with a tent strapped to the back. He could hardly claim it was an unusual route for a bike ride, but at least he could say he had actually cycled somewhere.

Entertaining read but it's a shame about the lack of proof reading.

Easy Read

Not a bad book, nicely written and a great read for anyone thinking of attempting LEJOG at some point. Proof reading could have been better but look beyond that and I think you'll enjoy it.
