Samira Wiley lives a picture-perfect life in the city that never sleeps. She has a supportive boyfriend, a brazen best friend, and a career overseeing the city’s fastest growing brand campaigns. With a big promotion on the line, the last thing she needs is a client who challenges her at every turn, but that’s exactly what awaits in her office—without an appointment.
Gabriel Santos’ sole focus is reviving his father’s business and cementing the family legacy. Finally convinced to relinquish some control, Gabe agrees to work with a woman who’s as infuriating as she is attractive, but it’s the version beneath her tailored clothes that he’s desperate to uncover. When infatuation turns to seduction, he finds himself falling for Samira—though she was never his to have. Now the only campaign he cares about is the campaign for her heart.
Through late nights and forced encounters, Samira’s pushed outside her comfort zone and soon discovers a long-forgotten side of herself she can’t ignore. As Gabe’s impatience grows and Samira’s boyfriend continues planning their future, she must decide between two very different lives, because there’s a crack in her foundation…
…and the truth could destroy everything she’s built.
When Forever Ends is the first in an interconnected series. While an HEA is guaranteed, the path to it isn't easy.

Listen. You can pry the cheating trope out of my cold, dead hands.
The way Gabe and Samira were brought together felt inevitable all the way through the end. I regret to inform you I was cheering on all their toxicity and drama!! Scott, Samira's boyfriend, was a genuinely nice guy, but he was also ill-suited for Samira, caught up in his family's public persona and expectations. I didn't feel like he saw Samira for who she actually was; he more so allowed her to mold and shape herself into what he needed from a wife and partner. So while I do not condone cheating*, I understood Samira's journey and empathized with her.
While Gabe and Samira's affair is prominent in the plot, this is also a story about a biracial Black woman coming into her own and learning who she wants to be and what she wants do. She is messy, at times selfish—but she is also so human that I rooted for her to figure it out even when I felt like she was going with the flow too much. Scott? Thanks for paying the bills, boo. Idk what to say but I do NOT condone cheating*!
I found Samira and Gabe's relationship to be more lust-centered, and wished the more intimate moments were more fleshed out/frequent so that I could feel fully invested in their love story. However, I very much got what I came here for: mess, twists and turns, more mess, drama, chosen family, and a FMC taking charge of her life on multiple levels. The ending and epilogue helped me feel more comfortable with them saying they loved each other lol. Lauren was sus and is NOT slick—I will have my eye on her for the rest of this series!
Overall, I really enjoyed Sia Morgan's writing style and will be reading more from her!
*I very much do support the cheating in this book.
Thank you so much to BookBuzzPR and Sia Morgan for sending me an ARC!
Thank you so much to the author for providing me an ARC copy of this book!
I was drawn in from the beginning with great writing and relatable characters. I really enjoyed a lot of the secondary characters, which is not always the case for me. There is spice, excellent banter, it kept me up late reading and I was genuinely sad when I flipped to the last page.
Can't wait for more novels in this series, or from this author in general!
✅Thank you @authorsiamorgan @bookbuzzpr for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
My thoughts: It was a fun ride getting to know Sam and Gabe. I also enjoyed getting to know the other characters in the story….Lauren, Dante, Donna and Cat. Maybe we will see each of them being featured in future books? The spice level was there along with hilarious banter. When Forever Ends is a story about being pushed out of your comfort zone and finally finding yourself. #shortbookthyme @shortbookthyme
As a lover of love triangles and the "why choose" trope, I was really curious how on page cheating would play out and how it would play out in comparison. Sadly, I did end up finding it a bit frustrating and hard to sit through at times despite enjoying the overall story.
Samira and Gabriel's connection does feel like it stems from being purely physical attraction, and then it eventually drifts into it being something that's forbidden and that's what makes it so desirable and hard to resist.
Most, if not all, of their on page interactions were physical and heavily centered around sex, I personally would've preferred there being some softer and more emotional moments between them, just to really drive home why it was so hard for Samira to choose between Scott and Gabriel beyond just having some fantastic sex.
I felt so awful for Scott the whole time, he seemed so lovely and genuinely wanted to build a secure and happy future for Samira, I'm pretty sure her only reasoning for wanting to leave him essentially boiled down to her finding him too boring and not likingthe vision he had for their future (which is something that could've definitely been talked about, and I would fully believe Scott would've been understanding of). The only other flaw he seemed to have was his mother being overbearing in some aspects of their life, but I don't believe that was fully a Scott issue!
Overall I think it would've been a lot easier to really root for Samira and Gabriel and want them together if maybe Scott had some more glaring flaws and there were some more heartfelt scenes between them. Because as it stands right now, it made me really dislike both characters for how they chose to go about things, they came across as sneaky and self centered as opposed to having deep, unavoidable feelings for one another.
Despite my issues with how the cheating went down, I found I couldn't put this book down and I was absolutely hooked and desperate to find out how things would end for everyone involved!
Thank you Sia Morgan for the ARC copy of When Forever Ends.
I was intrigued at how this story would play out... On page infidelity as the core focus is messy to navigate. I unfortunately felt disconnected from the characters. I didn't find their instant connection believable, I felt it a little rushed. It had potential with a bigger build up.
For me Gabe came across as arrogant and forceful but it didn't translate to passion and desire for me, it continued to feel like he was pushing for something the FMC didn't necessarily want.
Samira felt a little bland and it felt like she just went along with what people around her wanted from her. I think it was supposed to feel like a revelation when she settled on Gabe but to me it felt like another situation she'd been forced into.
The connection between the MMC and the FMC felt purely physical so when they declared their love for each other it didn't really feel like THE moment.
I did really enjoy the relationships the FMC had with her girlfriends and we are shown enough to assume they will get their own stories which I feel I will be more interested in.
I really wanted to like this book. but I just couldn't get into it. Samira and Scott seemed like they had such a great relationship. loving, happy, strong. but Samira ended up finding herself unexpectedly attracted to Gabe. I get it, it happens. Gabe is a very strong personality. very dominating in nature. he went after someone that wasn't his to have. I felt bad for Scott throughout the whole ordeal. he was so unaware of what was going on. I think overall it was a good story. but i didn't feel like Gabe and Samira were about love and emotion. it was pure raw and physical attraction. That kind of killed it for me. I Do think the author did a great job with writing this though. it just wasn't for me
I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review
I had the pleasure of reading When Forever Ends as an ARC. Thank you Sia Morgan and BookBuzzPR!
This is a beautiful & emotional book. With fantastically written spicy scenes & a little bit of comedy thrown in, this book had me shouting and sitting on the edge of my couch! I didn’t want to put it down. I could have read Samira’s & Gabe’s story forever.
Of course there is the serious issue of infidelity, but I believe it has been written masterfully. The fact you get to witness and understand the emotions of all the parties involved is an added bonus.
I have a pretty good feeling that this is not the end of certain character/s? (Wishful thinking? 100%!)
I thoroughly enjoyed reading When Forever Ends. Sia Morgan, you should be really proud of yourself! I will be recommending to everyone!
Okay, so this was my first time diving into the cheating trope, and let me tell you these two made me want to scream so bad, lol. And honestly, it wasn’t even the cheating that got to me. I just didn’t feel any chemistry between them at all. I feel like Shamira blew up her life for absolutely no reason.
Gabe didn’t even act like he liked her. It felt like he only wanted her because he wasn’t supposed to have her. I can’t recall a single time he complimented her that wasn’t about her body or somethin sexual. Like… there was no the emotional connection? IMO
And here’s a super hot take: I kinda hope Lauren and Scott are sneaking around. We can already see Dante and Cat happening from a mile away, so I’m curious to see where that goes.
Samira seems to have the perfect life. A great boyfriend and a successful job but there is one client that gets under her skin. His name is Gabriel and he needs her help in revamping his business. But when the two of them are working so close together, their mutual attraction is hard to deny. But Samira has her boyfriend. And that means she has some seriously difficult choices ahead. Does she cheat? Does she break things off and then hook up with Gabriel? This was a very good story with interesting characters and a really complicated storyline. Samira was strong and in the end I think she made the best decision for her future and for love.
Wow… I absolutely devoured this book. The banter between characters and the build in intimacy was hot. On top of that, our poor FMC had DECISIONS to make that I do not envy! Then throw in the MMC who is just everything you need and bossy on top of it with a hint or arrogance you want to punch in the face until he looks at you like you’re the only thing that matters and you melt…. Sia’s writing is so enjoyable and binge worthy. I may or may not have stayed up til 2am reading it. Five stars. Start to finish.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ what a amazing book is this guys it takes me out of the reading slump This book had me hooked from page one. When Forever Ends is emotional, intense, and full of tension that makes it impossible to put down till late in the night ( when i have a child and a job 😅but soooooo worth itttt ) The characters felt so real and their struggles stayed with me long after I closed the book that i gonna reread this ASAP🥰. If you love forbidden romance with just the right amount of angst and heartbreak, this one is a must-read. Soooo go run because it’s also live today so gooooo
Controversial opinion? I LOVE THIS BOOK. As the title suggests this book does contain cheating, but don't let a snap judgement stop you from reading an amazing book. Sia Morgan has given me a book hangover equivalent to watching an entire season of Grey's Anatomy. The perfect example of how love is messy and sometimes it's the people who are too. I could not put it down and read it in one five hour binge read.
This book was sooo good. Glad to be part of the ARC team! Gabe is a no nonsense take charge alpha male and I love it. Sam finally figured out what she needed in life and took charge of her future! I flew through this book in 2 days. Loved it. Hope some of the other characters get their stories told! 4.5 of 5!
I never thought I'd be a fan of a book with cheating in it, but damn if this didn't make me a fan. I was rooting for Samira and Gabe from first smooch. The dance scene, the family connection... loved. Sia Morgan will forever be an auto read for me.
Sometimes life is cruel and complicated. Things don't always arrive at the 'right time'. But what if you have to make it the right time and have to undo pretty much everything you've done up to now and possibly hurt people along the way. Would you do it? or Would you settle?
That's what our MCs have to work out in When Forever Ends. Samira is in a long-term relationship with Scott when Gabe barges onto the scene and upends everything.
The story explores the two relationships (one more than the other) and Samira struggles to make a decision that best suits her. It's a bumpy, spicy road!
I really liked the book and I always love good side characters. Cat, Dante, Donna and Lauren are excellent. Not forgetting our pooch, Molly!
Not always a fan of triangles but the way this story unfolded had me gagging. The cheating trope tends to scare people away, but y’all…this book has to be read in full to truly grasp how things came about. I truly enjoyed myself, it was a quick read.
