Second chance
Second chance romance are the best. It doesn’t hurt that there was some urban grit involved. I appreciated how the MCs didn’t just go into everything with all rose colored glasses. Layla taking the time needed to grieve all her losses was so spot on. I was sad for her. And Pharaoh making sure his heart could really trust was a very real moment. Love me a good HEA for sure.
