What could be worse than finding out your one-night stand is your new colleague?
When Chloe hits it off with Alex Stuart at an international marketing conference, a one-night stand with him seems like a safe bet. He’s not from around here. So Alex showing up at work after they spend a great night together, that’s got to be the worst thing that can happen, right?
He’s the first guy she’s pined over in years, but that doesn’t change the fact that she has to focus on work. Then Alex is assigned on the pitch she needs to nail for her promotion. She can’t get distracted.
All I want is a fresh start.
A big move to London, a great new job, and hooking up with Chloe Nguyen? What a week.
And Chloe’s not only his new colleague, but Alex is working on a major pitch with her. For him, it’s the opportunity of a lifetime to learn from the best. His international move is starting strong!
Unfortunately, Chloe can’t stand him. Alex can’t go home with his tail between his legs. He has to make this work.
Talk about a winning pitch — this romance delivers charm, banter, and chemistry in spades.
After a one-night stand at a conference, Chloe is shocked to find that Alex is her new coworker. As they’re paired on a marketing pitch, their chemistry grows, and they begin to wonder if their fling could turn into something more—even though office relationships are off-limits.
This romcom is seamlessly crafted, brimming with humor, sizzling chemistry, and heartfelt moments. With witty banter and beloved tropes like he-fell-first and workplace romance, it’s playful, tender, and irresistible—a charming treat for fans of endearing romance.

Many thanks to Olivia Isley for providing this Advanced Reader Copy. All opinions expressed are entirely my own. ✨
Love a good girl boss FMC and some steaming hot forbidden romance tension? This book definitely delivered 🙌
Tropes I loved: 💼 Workplace romance 🚫 Forbidden love 👩💼 Black cat FMC / Golden retriever MMC 🔥 One night stand ⚔️ Rivals to lovers
Alex and Chloe meet at a work conference and end up having a one night stand. But when Monday morning rolls around, (surprise!) Alex shows up for his first day at his new job and realizes they’re now coworkers. With opposing personalities and a strict no workplace romance rule, they’ll have to figure out how to work together while trying (and failing) to ignore their chemistry.
⚠️ A little warning before you start: Keep reading beyond the one-night stand scene. Trust me! While the first scene is fine, it’s not mind-blowing… but that’s the point. Olivia Isley masterfully builds the connection between Alex and Chloe throughout the book. As their trust deepens and their bond grows, the tension skyrockets... and so do the spice levels in the bedroom (or outside the bedroom...😏😉 IYKYK 🙌)
I also loved the storyline outside the romance. I was genuinely invested in how their marketing pitch would turn out and whether they could pull it off as a team.
A great mix of heart, heat, and humor. Definitely recommend!
💖 Thank you to the author, Olivia Isley, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I was very entertained by this office romance story. Chloe has a one night stand at a work conference only to find out that her one night stand cohort is now her new work partner. Both Chloe and Alex are shocked to find out that they now work at the same company and that they have been assigned a very important project to work on together. Chloe decides it is best to keep the fact that they have met before a secret. I really enjoyed learning the marketing aspect of their jobs and it was interesting to see them design and put their important pitch together. The relationship between Chloe and Alex was engaging and it definitely brought out a softer side of Chloe who was stoic and stern in all her work relations. I loved the banter and dialogue. It was compelling and authentic watching Alex struggle as he tried to find his footing in his new job and city. Overall I really enjoyed this book and want to read more from this author.
I love that this book was set in London. It was different from my other reads!
I loved that Chloe, the FMC, is so career driven and she was up to the pitch of her life.
What was supposed to be a one night stand at a conference with Alex, the MMC, who is from another marketing firm , turned out to be a long term thing.
It doesn’t stop there. Chloe is used to be working alone and she is now forced to work with Alex for the biggest pitch of her career and a big promotion.
I really love the character’s development. Chloe learned to be open with her feelings and emotions. We can see the progress she’s making.
Alex who came from another country faced his own challenges.
I’m not going to spoil the book for you but I really liked how the two worked together and overcame the drama that happened.
4 ⭐️ 🌶️🌶️ The Romance Pitch won me over! I loved the story, the workplace drama, the romance, and the friendship.
Chloe and Alex first meet and get very friendly with each other. She thinks he’s heading back to Scotland and she will never see him again. Little does she know, Alex is the new hire!
Alex and Chloe are paired up to work on a big pitch for the marketing firm they work at and the tension these two share at work 👀🥵🌶️ I’m surprised they even managed to get any work done. But our girl Chloe knows how to keep it professional!
The friends each character has are so supportive and really ask the hard questions on life. Even in real life sometimes you need someone to shine light on what you may or may not be thinking.
I loved this story and the characters and I can’t wait to read Olivia’s other book Resorting to Love so I can know everything about two of Chloe’s friends! Thank you for allowing me to read an advance copy of your book!
I absolutely loved The Romance Pitch. Alex and Chloe were amazing characters and the forbidden workplace romance was full of tension and yearning.
Alex and Chloe first meet at a convention and end up having a one night stand. Only to find out that Alex has just started working at the same place as Chloe. Not only that but they get put on a project together and have to work together.
Chloe is a typical career focused woman who doesn't believe in relationships. Alex is a relationship man, and also he's a hot red headed Scotsman!
This story was funny, it was spicy, but it also had some depth to it and wonderful character development - especially for our girl Clo!
I was rooting for these two the whole way through and they get the most perfect HEA I could have dreamed of for them
The Romance Pitch is out October 15th so you better put it at the top of your TBR
✨ I really enjoyed this book! Chloe completely stole my heart because she’s such a badass, and I wish I had even half the confidence she has 👏 Watching Alex slowly bring her out of her shell was so sweet, and their love story had me hooked from start to finish 💕
The number of times my jaw dropped (mostly thanks to Sandra 👀) was unreal. I also connected so much with the toxic job environment, which made it even more satisfying to see Chloe + Alex flourish and find each other in the middle of it all.
Their romance was adorable, their friend group was amazing, and I loved the fun dynamic they added. Truly such a gem of a read!
Huge thank you to Olivia for letting me be a part of your ARC team! 💚
This was cute, very wholesome haha A very well written he falls first love story - Chloe’s character was a bit hard to like sometimes with her annoyance of everything, but I’m happy with how they ended up haha
This was so good! The chemistry and yearning between Chloe and Alex is so well written, and the broken elevator is such a niche but amazing trope! I love reading workplace dramas and this did not disappoint!
Wow, this book is so well written with mix of sexy tension, angst, humour and frustration. It had me on my toes most of the time, and I loved it!
The book has a good pace so it's easy read and follow the story, I really like that we follow both Alex and Chloe's thoughts and perspectives. It makes it interesting and the reader gets a bigger understanding of them. Their sarcasm and humour, the way they work together and how things go is a really lovely journey. I wanted to shake some of their colleagues more than once, and hug all of the friends. Definitely a book I'm gonna read again! I recommend this book to someone who loves romance, angst, tension and lots of humour. And someone who loves an independent woman and an attentive man with an accent.
I got this book for free as I'm an ARC reader for The Romance Pitch, for an honest review.
Thank you Olivia Isley for the Advanced Readers Copy of her newest book out on October 15th! This ARC was given to me in exchange for my honest opinion.
Chloe & Alex meet at a conference and have a very hot one night stand. They live and work in different countries and don’t think they will ever see each other again. Chloe is a bisexual woman who has no interest in relationships and who is known as a shark at work. She has zero interest in work friends and just wants to get ahead in her very toxic work environment. She is up for a promotion and is forced to pair up on a pitch with the company’s newest hire. Surprise! It’s Alex! Alex is new in town, a new hire, is a relationship guy & wants friends. Like Chloe, he’s not over their one night stand but is respecting the boundaries she has put up. This book is full of tension and not just the sexual kind. It’s fun to see what happens as they navigate a forbidden romance in what quite literally could be the most toxic place to work!
The toxic work environment made it hard for me to get into. It sometimes took the fun out of the book. It became distracting at times and hard to really like anyone but the main characters. I just wanted them to leave their jobs, everyone was so mean! I really liked the spice and the tension between the two characters. Chloe grew a lot throughout the story, I love to see it! I also really liked the switch in gender stereotypes in this book. Typically we see a career driven man who has no time for relationships, will leave without a note, etc., etc. Not for Olivia Isley, she wrote Alex as our guy pining for Chloe. It was sweet and their love story was good.
3.5 Stars for me, honestly I think had it not been for the toxic work place, I would have rated it higher.

Forbidden Love A little Spice He Falls First Workplace Romance Multiple POV Grumpy x Sunshine
First of all, thank you to Olivia Isley for choosing me to review this novel, prior to it's release. This is an opinion only - I encourage readers to pick the book up and enjoy it themselves to form their own opinions.
Welcome to a toxic work environment with a bit of spice thrown in.
Chloe is such a go getter and a take no prisoners badass, working in marketing and fighting tooth and nail to get ahead in an industry that can be brutally competitive. Chloe shines with her ideas and innovation, although she can be a bit hard to swallow sometimes and needs to ease up and relax a bit.
Enter Alex, A one night stand at a conference she's attending, although Chloe will soon discover that she will see plenty more of Alex. They are now competing for the same position of marketing director @ Momentum.
This is a cute office romance with a little bit of spice, some silly banter and a he falls first. It is super cute to watch as Alex brings Chloe out of her closed shell slowly and little by little and shows her just what she's been missing by focusing so directly on her career and not enough on her personal life. Their friends bring a real life ring to what it is to be asked the tough questions, have super supportive people in your life and maybe, just maybe finding love.
I love everything about this book - Grumpy/Sunshine He falls first Witty banter Toxic work environment
This book is gold and I can't wait to read the first book in this series. Books can be read as stand alone but both are in the same series by Olivia.
Thank you so much to Olivia for allowing me to provide a review. It was an honor to be chosen to participate.

This book delivers a winning pitch! It gives instant chemistry, a little sprinkle of banter, and a few sweet & swoony moments. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the "London, With Love" series to follow Chloe's friend group.
What's worse than unexpectedly seeing your one night stand again? Finding out he's your new colleague and partner on the biggest pitch of your career...
Meet Chloe Nguyen, an introverted driven workaholic. She doesn't care about making friends at work and she doesn't do relationships. When she finds herself drawn to a handsome Scottish man at an international work conference, she decides to blow off some steam and they have a one night stand. Quick, easy, uncomplicated...right?
Meet Alex Stuart, a Scot who needs a fresh start. He gets the job opportunity of a lifetime in London, but first, he heads to a work conference. He's drawn to this stunning yet snappy woman and one thing leads to another. He's disappointed when she slips out and he never hears from her again...Until he gets assigned to a big project at his new firm and he meets his senior colleague, Chloe.
Their firm has a strict no fraternization policy and their jobs depend on nailing this pitch. Will they be able to keep it professional or will their chemistry prove to be too much for them to handle?
Tropes: Workplace romance, Toxic workplace, Grumpy x Sunshine, He falls first, Found friends
FMC Chloe works at a cut throat marketing agency, where everyone is nice to your face but will stab you in the back the moment you turn around. Whilst at a conference she meets and has a one night stand with Scottish hottie Alex, with neither knowing they will soon be working together. With a promotion on the line, Chloe can't get distracted by anything, especially not the new employee assigned to show her bosses she can be a team player. Can Chloe fight her attraction to the ever happy Alex? Or will she give in to her feelings and risk her promotion?
I liked this book 🩷 It was my first read by @oliviaisleyauthor and I am looking forward to the rest in the series 'London, With Love'. Chloe appears cold hearted and distant, but in reality she has the biggest heart and feels everything. She is just very guarded, unless you are in her circle. The flirting, banter, and chemistry was well written & I loved how Alex didn't push, yet made his intentions very clear. I hated manager Sandra, but liked how the author was able to highlight real life issues within business and the corporate world. My favourite thing from this book was getting to meet Chloe's friends, and learn a little about their stories, to the point I went back and read 'Resorting to Love'.
🌶🌶🌶 I'd say 3 to 3.5 out of 5 stars for spice. Loved the stairs scenes.... think I will be taking them more often 😉
A fabulous workplace romance, with lots of laughs and a beautiful Happily Ever After!
5-⭐ 3.5 🌶️ Book 2 of the London, with Love Series hits the mark! I love Olivia’s story telling and this does not disappoint. Chloe-She’s quickly on the rise and working toward her next promotion that would make her one of the youngest Marketing Directors at her company. She is focused, driven, and is knobs for being an Ice Queen with those she works with. What happens when a one-night stand starts working at her company and she is partnered with him on her next big pitch? Alex- After a recent break up he decides it is time for a fresh start. Leaving his job and moving to a new country, he lands a job at a prestigious marketing firm on a 6 month trial basis. His first week there he is paired with Chloe, whom he just meet at a conference over the weekend. This project could make or break his position at the company as well as her promotion. The company has a strict No Relationship policy. He can’t seem to get her off his mind and finds ways to flirt with her to try and break down her walls and give him a chance.
Tropes Reverse Grump/ Sunshine Taboo work relationship Off-Limit crush/ romance
Chloe is employed at a big advertising company: she’s successful, she’s beautiful, she’s a renowned “ice queen” & she certainly doesn’t do relationships.
Alex has just relocated from Scotland for a new job after a relationship breakdown. When he meets Chloe at an international advertising conference, they hit it off & spend the evening together.
But when it transpires that Alex’s new job is at the same company as Chloe, & they’re expected to work on a pitch together, Chloe is determined not to allow their one night together to ruin anything for her. After all, she’s up for a huge promotion & Alex is on a probationary contract - & the company does have a strict non-fraternisation policy.
As the pitch progresses, & they spend more time together, the push & pull of what they want vs what they should (or shouldn’t) do becomes overwhelming.
Can Alex win Chloe over with his romance pitch? Does the ice queen melt?
This is a fabulous workplace romance, complete with crappy colleagues, a toxic office environment, an amazing network of friends & two people who don’t give up on each other.
Welcome to the cut throat world of advertising. Chole has always been at the top of her game and had no tolerance for her co-workers. At an advertising conference, Alex gave her an excuse to break from her co-workers. Alex and Chole hooked up that night with the expectations of never seeing each other again. Alex moved to London and took a new job with an advertising agency. Bing bing bing…it’s with the company that Chloe works for which has a strong policy about not having romantic relationships with coworkers. Chloe and Alex are placed on a couple of projects together and they both are struggling to put their feelings aside. They decided to explore their feelings while working together. One of Chloe’s main competitors at her job told the boss that Alex and Chloe were in a relationship. Alex was able to break through Chloe’s hard icy exterior. They decided that they didn’t want to work for a company that prevented their relationship. Alex and Chloe started their own advertising agency and continued their relationship. I enjoyed Alex and Chloe’s story to discovering the great them that they make together. Thank you to Olivia Isley for an advanced copy for an honest review.
I love how Alex sees Chloe for the first time and is nothing but complimentary and also making sure she feels safe and comfortable massive green flag!
Mia, Steph, Will, Matt and Jared are best friend goals!
I relate to Chloe's social battery, love of reading and hate of lifts 🤣 oh and not forgetting she's from an accountantancy background 🫶
The 2 pov is fun!
The Tension in this book was a whole nother level especially when they know what they are missing. A fun twist for me was how he's the Ray of sunshine 🌞 and she's the grumpy cloud ☁️
Chloe keeps calling him Alexander instead of alex 😅🤣 which made me laugh.
"If you tell me you're a serial killer in your spare time, I'm going to be pretty unimpressed"
It was so much fun to read this book, it was fun warm hug of a comfort read but it still had those moments where you couldn't believe what snakes people can be! 🐍 Don’t forget throw in a bit of spice 🌶
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
As soon as I saw the dedication for The Romance Pitch I knew I was all in!
I related more to these characters than the ones in Resorting to Love, although it was nice to have Mia & Will back in multiple scenes in this book. Chloe and Alex meet at a work conference, sparks fly, fun night, and then....whoopsies the new guy walks into the office and they're thrown for a loop.
I could really relate to Chloe, and I think that's why I fell in love with these characters - woman in a cut throat office, where friendships aren't valued because it's a high-stakes everyone for themselves environment. Feeling like you have to claw your way up the ladder, while sacrificing your personal life...hello corporate America!
Waiting while Chloe works through her feelings about Alex in real time had me hooked - I think Olivia Isley did a great job depicting the push/pull of working through that in real time and keeping the readers engaged as Chloe balances work, friends and an attraction she can't ignore.
"We were just a one-night stand… until he walked into my office."
Tropes:
🐈⬛️Black Cat X Golden Retriever ♥️Rivals To Lovers 🔥Slow Burn Romance 😳One Night Stand 🏴Scottish MMC 🏢Forced Proximity
💋 One night. One office. One perfect slow-burn romance.
Chloe is ambitious, sharp, and has zero interest in falling in love after being burned by her ex. Alex is a golden retriever filled with charm and a sexy scottish accent. They share one incredible night together, thinking they'll never see each other again. But, their steamy one-night stand turns into an awkward office reunion.
I thoroughly enjoyed the chemistry, banter, and tension.
If you love a steamy rival to lovers romance filled with forbidden tension and two career-driven characters trying NOT to fall in love… this one's your next obsession.
The Romance Pitch was such a fun mix of cute, competitive, and heartfelt. Chloe is a determined, numbers-driven perfectionist who always plays it safe, while Alex is the charming, heartbroken newcomer just looking for a fresh start. Their one-night stand made perfect sense—she needed to let go, and he needed to begin again—but finding out they’re coworkers on the same project? That’s where things really heat up. 🔥
I expected a bit more banter and resistance from Chloe, but the slow build of their relationship was genuinely sweet. Alex’s reaction to thinking he’d been dumped (hello, Scotland ✈️) surprised me, but it showed how much both characters were growing—individually and together.
Sandra definitely needed to be put in her place sooner, but I loved seeing Chloe and Alex finally get their happy ending with the Silver Glen Pitch and their own company. 💼💘 I really hope we get more of them in the future!
💌 ARC Review 💌 This one was such a sweet surprise! The Romance Pitch gave me everything I love in a romcom banter, heart, and just the right amount of swoon. I was grinning through the witty dialogue, melting over the chemistry, and completely hooked on the pitch-perfect romance. Olivia Isley knows how to balance humor with those softer, emotional moments that make you fall in love right alongside the characters.
This book had my heart melting, had me giggling, and kept me up way too freaking late because I just had to know how it all played out. 🥹✨ With tropes like he fell first, workplace romance, and opposites attract, it ticked all my favorite boxes. The banter? Adorable. The chemistry? Off the charts. Honestly, I didn’t want it to end. 💙 If you’re in the mood for something fun, flirty, and feel-good, definitely add this one to your list. 🥰

Grumpy x Sunshine workplace romance where he falls first.
We meet our introverted FMC Chloe, referred to as the “Ice Queen” by her colleagues. Chloe is a goal driven career woman up for a big promotion. She trusts in data and statistics and keeping her walls up. She doesn’t believe in relationships and in walks Alexander, who was supposed to be just a one night stand.
Alex is your extroverted golden retriever MMC, he is the new guy in the office and desperately wants to fit in and make friends. After their one night, Alex was immediately taken with Chloe and was willing to do everything to capture her heart.
We get to see the story from both perspectives as they are forced to work together. Their relationship has a slow start as they navigate the corporate world while fighting their growing attraction.
Thank you to Olivia Isley for allowing me to be a part of The Romance Pitch ARC team!
❣️This review contains slight spoilers❣️
I enjoyed reading Chloe and Alex's love story! From page one, I could tell there would be a lot of ups and downs in their relationship. Chloe was a character that was easy for me to relate to. I prefer working alone, I can be cold to people at times, I have a few close friends that I share everything with... Chloe was definitely a relatable character. Alex was the definition of a golden retriever. He falls for Chloe hard and fast! And despite harsh 'no fraternization' rules at MomentumReach, he keeps pushing for Chloe.
My favorite part of this book was definitely the last 25% (you'll just have to read it to know what I mean). Chloe and Alex worked so hard to achieve their dreams and definitely succeeded. One's dream became a dream for both

💚 ARC Review | The Romance Pitch by Olivia Isley 💚 Office banter, forbidden tension, and rivals-to-lovers perfection — Olivia Isley has done it again! This book was the perfect blend of sharp wit, slow-burn chemistry, and workplace chaos.
A one-night stand that turns into daily proximity, snarky meetings, and stolen glances? Yes, please. The dynamic between the broody MMC and the sassy FMC had me grinning, swooning, and yelling at my Kindle. Their banter was top-tier, and the emotional depth took me by surprise in the best way.
✨ Tropes you’ll love: 💼 Toxic workplace 🔥 One-night stand 🐈⬛ Black cat x golden retriever energy 💋 Clandestine romance 🤬 Sh*tty colleagues 💘 Rivals to lovers
Isley’s writing is equal parts funny, flirty, and full of heart — she captures that delicious tension that keeps you turning the pages and craving more.
Wow! This book is so wonderfully written and the plot line feels so real that it was hard to put down!
I was slightly hesitant getting into a one night stand to eventual partners plot line, but this was done so well!
Chloe is a stone-cold workaholic whose reputation precedes her in her fast-paced world as a marketing executive. Alex is the new guy hired in and placed on Chloe’s new high-stakes pitch. He falls first, and she tries to avoid him at all costs because it might cost her big promotion as well as their jobs. They know they can’t, or shouldn’t, be together because of work policy, but their chemistry is undeniable.
This book incorporates friendship, found family, toxic workplace drama, sass, and whit elegantly throughout.
I will not hesitate to pick up another book by Olivia in the future!

ARC Review Alex attends a marketing conference under his old firms company name and Chloe attends it this conference with her co-workers. They have one night stand at this conference because they didn't think they would see each other again.
Chloe is doing everything she can to get the new opportunity to get the new Marketing Director at work. however, to get this position she must work with the new employee who must also prove themselves. What she doesn't expect is this new employee to be is Alex.
Alex and Chloe work on the project together and hope the feelings from their one night stand don't get in the way. As, employees being in a relationship together will be fired.
I liked this story, because you are used to the MMC being more of the dominant character and I feel in this book the FMC is.
This book was definitely a good and super quick read for me. The story and characters are very relatable.
Chloe is working towards a promotion and is nicknamed the "Ice Queen" in her workplace due to her cold and hard demeanor. Alex is just trying to fit in with his new coworkers and new city.
When Chloe gets paired up with her new coworker Alex, after a one night stand at a conference, she finds herself fighting her feelings when trying to earn her promotion.
The tension and banter between them showed well written chemistry. The writing and dialogue definitely felt more unique and all flowed really well, I think it helped that it was a workplace romance. Although it did all feel predictable which I find common with most romance, regardless the road to that Happily Ever After was still satisfying to read!
