About the author

Yoneda Kou (ヨネダコウ) made her manga debut in 2009 with Doushitemo Furetakunai (No Touching at All), which became an instant critical and commercial success. She followed up with Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai (Twittering Birds Never Fly) and has also published doujinshi (independent comics) under the circle names "Raw" and "NITRO Koutetsu". A Capricorn with an A blood type, she likes sushi, inexpensive chocolate, and foreign drama series.

Un tomo de alto voltaje. La tensión entre Domeki y Yashiro es insoportable. Domeki se ha cerrado, pero Yashiro no puede soportar más la máscara que se ha creado para no sentir. En este tomo se confirman el porqué de sus acciones respecto al sexo y las relaciones

Gods, the tension between Yashiro and Doumeki in this volume is off the charts.
I just hope the push and pull doesn't drag for too long otherwise this won't be as good as the first arc. But i trust Yoneda will deliver a compelling story.

Am I happy with this volume? Yes. But am I incredibly frustrated by the series as a whole? Absofuckinglutely!!

When I learned that this series has been going on for over 10 years, my jaw hit the floor. When it was mentioned that Yashiro is actually 40, my jaw proceeded to detach itself from my face and rolled under the bed. These two remind me of those high schoolers in shojo and BL manga who cannot communicate to save their lives.

Listen, Doumeki is better -and more patient - than me (to his detriment) coz once Yashiro did what he did at the end of Vol 6, he'd have never heard from me again. Him popping back into my life in Vol 7 would have had me feigning amnesia, like he did to me, or simply crossing the road or walking out of rooms the second I saw him. Self preservation for the win in my book - something that Doumeki seems not to know/understand.

As for Yashiro, my boy needs to get himself some therapy and stop being so avoidant and self-destructive. I'm in no way minimizing what happened to him when he was younger, but if at 40 you still find yourself going through the motions, patterns and behaviours that you were doing as a teenager, maybe it's high time you take a look inwards and figure out how to stop. He is constantly in pain and masking his pain and I'm simultaneously so sad and mad at him for it

Maybe it's a good thing that there currently isn't a new volume out yet so I can give myself a break b4 I end up hating this series and characters ✌🏾

Retrobament esperadíssim passats 4 anys, però amb una dinàmica força canviada ara el Yashiro descobreix que el Doumeki continua a la yakuza. Em continuo perdent força en la trama de les bandes i tinc ganes que s'acabi la història per poder una relectura completa perquè de volum a volum m'oblido de la meitat de personatges secundaris. M'encanta com es va girant la truita a mesura que el Doumeki demostra, a la força si cal, com arriba a estimar el Yashiro. El proper volum és OR!!!!

Momentazos. Este volumen es de momentazos.

La trama yakuza sigue llevándose mucho protagonismo, pero después del lapso de 4 años entre los tomos 6 y 7 la relación entre Domeki y Yashiro está que echa chispas y... parece que estamos llegando a algún sitio! Quiero decir que la trama romántica ha dado un salto hacia delante y unas cuantas vueltas de campana por el camino.
Aún no se atreven a decirse las cosas, pero es evidente que ambos han cambiado mucho en esos 4 años sin verse.

No i wróciliśmy do pukanka, może mniej radosnego. Plus taki, że Doumeki znalazł swoje jaja i nie lata za Yashiro jak zakochany w nauczycielce uczniak. I nawet potrafi odszczeknąć, brawo, tak trzymaj. A Yashiro niby się zmienił, tyle że przygodne przygody z kim popadnie, nadal się chłopu zdarzają. Ale nie jest mu już tak fajnie jak kiedyś, więc to wybaczamy (wcale że nie).

Jeśli ci dwaj w kolejym albo dalszym tomie się nie ogarną, to mnie szlag jasny trafi. Ile można no...

El diálogo interno de cada uno y la forma en la saben que los sentimientos que tienen por el otro son demasiado, tanto que no pueden solo decirlo o dejarlo salir porque acabaría siendo letal para ellos mismos, es hermoso, en un mundo difícil donde no deberías amar a nadie, ellos aman, aman con fuerza y el dibujo, las expresiones, te dejan entenderlo a la perfección.

I appreciate the conversation this series has had on sex-drive but I do feel like right now, it's bordering on 'sex-drive = real feelings' which is a bit yikes - especially since it's done such a good job discussing this issue.

Después de reencontrarse 4 años después, Yashiro se ve envuelto en un caso en el que también está metido el clan Yakuza en el que está Dômeki. Esto hará que los sentimientos del pasado y su relación inconclusa renazca como espinas entre ambos.

Kou Yoneda là tường thành trong lòng tôi khi nói đến build up cho explicit scenes (Harada, xa răng hê, nhưng xin phép dạt ra nhường đường cho Kou Yoneda pls 😭), chấn động từ những volume đầu tiên cmnl, quá tuyệt vời xuất sắc không còn từ nào để tả được cái sự hay vcl của Saezuru Tori😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. Đặc biệt là khi vừa đọc xong một bộ R18 có execution quá lởm đến mức khiến tôi tự vấn tại sao các đại tỷ tài năng lại phí hoài nỗ lực vào questionable BL tropes & ship dynamics thì Saezuru tori cứ như kiểu nước giữa sa mạc cmnl, yaoi god thank u for saving me 😭😭😭😭
