Lorna’s love of Cornwall shines through in her beautifully descriptive writing. I also enjoyed the side by side stories of Derwa and Lucy which intertwine the past and present through Derwa’s diaries.

The subject of domestic abuse is written with skill and sensitivity. As Lucy’s emotional and physical scars heal, her determination to make a new life in Cornwall makes this story one of resilience and hope for the future.

Congratulations on an excellent debut novel.

omg!

What a fabulous book, it was sooo hard to put down, loved the back story of our heroine’s great aunt, it felt as if I was there with Lucy every step of the way, feeling her pain and the happy outcome at the end.

A romance filled with suspense. Can Lucy get away from her abusive husband? Gripping from start to finish and highly recommended. I look forward to reading future novels by this new author.
