Prince attains such a fun rapport between Batman and Superman in this book - kind of how you would expect them to talk to each other IRL, outside of a comic book. Also, let Morazzo draw every comic ever.

There were moments in this issue that were really funny and well written. The art isn't my thing at times but I like the chances this is taking as some of them pay off. Seeing the JL was cool too.

I have never related more to a comic than jumping into the action to find a super large rampaging Superman destroying metropolis, only for the Justice league to be handling evacuations and for one of the civilians to be crying about a spreadsheet, in a now destroyed building, that she didn’t save. Even John Stewart tells her to hit ctrl + S every once in a while. I work on IT and this is so relatable, come on people, just save your work or save it on a location so it automatically saves upon each change. It’s not that hard, especially when you live in a world where it could literally be destroyed! But how did we get to this point in the first place? Well of course it all has to do with Clark’s suicidal tendencies to test this new Kryptonite on himself, and today’s test using cobalt Kryptonite caused Superman to start growing at an exceptional rate. To the point it didn’t take long for him to be popping out of the fortress of solitude, and run the risk of causing an international incident if he got picked up on scanners. Batman discovered that the spectacled Kryptonite had a similar energy signature to cobalt, except reversed, so there is a high chance it will shrink Superman back down. So while Bruce works on a Kryptonite cannon to restore things, Clark decides to fly on down to metropolis and explain the situation as to not cause an international incident and let everyone know everything is fine…because yeah, that could only go great. Batman had the foresight to call in a Justice league team to keep a handle on the situation.

As you can imagine as soon as Superman showed up in metropolis, Lex confirmed his suspicions that Clark is testing the Kryptonite on himself, and it’s such a big target how can he pass up the chance to take him down. As it would also happen, Lex is currently in control of Chemo’s containment, and a quick call and a few threats and Chemo is released with its mind set on Metropolis. But that’s not the only trouble Lex is setup to cause, after suiting up in his power suit he also equipped himself with a red Kryptonite missile then blasted it right into the big blue target! Immediately causing Superman to go off the rails and act out of anger right as Wonder Woman, GL Stewart, and Atom Smasher showed up to help. Sounds like they also had a fourth member coming but he was delayed. Luckily atom smasher was able to hold Superman off on his level in time for GL to begin evacuations and for batman to come in the batwing with his spectacles Kryptonite cannon. Wonder Woman jumped in the gunner position and was able to deliver a dose to shrink him back to size and remove the effects of the red Kryptonite. But we still have the problem of chemo to deal with so Superman did what he does best, rushed I to action so no one else has to take the hit. But as Sherman flies through chemo he then starts to pull an insane move, flying over and grabbing a tube from chemos hand, and then using it as a straw to drink chemo. You read that right…Superman drank all of the radioactive materials out of chemo. WHAT?! There’s no telling what this mixture of radiation could do to him, and as Superman stumbles over to the Justice league suddenly he has aged down to the point of being SuperBoy once again! Perfect timing as well, as the last member of the Justice league meant to show up finally arrived. and Captain Marvel couldn’t be anymore excited to see SuperBoy! Hahahaha!

A giant sized Superman threatens the populace and city of Metropolis after Supes is hit with the randomness of red kryptonite after his exposure to the cobalt kryptonite last issue. Batman desperately works on a solution while the other heroes seek to corral Superman in the city. Luthor has Chemo released from imprisonment to stir the pot and though that threat gets stopped by Superman its effects turn him into Superboy right at the arrival of Shazam to the fray.
More silver age greatness from Prince and Morazzo.

Lots of fun!

So much fun. I am loving this new series. I enjoy reading Ice Cream Man a lot, so when I heard the team that produces that comic, was going to be writing for DC, I jumped through the roof. Its really a fun series. Don't listen to the negative comments, its a good comic.

Super fun story with incredible writing! I'm honestly not a fan of the art style in this series, but the dialogue is so good that I don't care. It's laugh-out-loud funny. I can't wait for the next issue!

It’s fun by I’m waiting for this series to ignite. Maybe it’s because I haven’t read much superman but I feel like a lot of the homage it pays is lots on me. It’s goofy and fun but also quite forgettable.

I have to agree with Luthor here. Superman is a big dummy, testing the kryptonite on himself. Makes for a fun story though.

Great superman story.
Superman continues to experiment
with the different types of kryptonite.
The guest appearances of different
Characters made the reading of this issue very enjoyable.

Interesting and a decidedly odd take on Superman. I will follow this to see where it goes.

Delicioso! Es como un cómic de la Silver Age pero moderno. No quiero que acabe.
