In a town where secrets cling to the trees like moss, some things are better left buried. For Skyla Bishop, being uprooted from her life in sunny Florida to the remote, chilling town of Hemlock Hollow is a nightmare. The forest is too dense, the locals are too watchful, and the feeling of being an outsider is a constant, unnerving weight. She and the other two generations of Bishop women are no strangers to whispers and rumors thanks to a so-called family curse that scares men away. But Hemlock Hollow holds a different kind of darkness, one that whispers of missing people and things that go bump in the night. When a chance encounter with three devastatingly handsome and enigmatic men leaves Skyla's world spinning, she's pulled into a reality she thought only existed in her grandmother's wild tales. These men are more than they seem, and their intense, possessive interest in her awakens something ancient and powerful within Skyla herself. Forced to confront a destiny she never knew she had, Skyla must navigate a world of supernatural politics, rival packs, and a fated Bond that could either be her salvation or her ruin. Because in Hemlock Hollow, the woods are watching, the shadows have teeth, and falling in love might be the most dangerous thing she could ever do.
I loved this standalone. It had everything a perfect fated mates reverse harem is supposed to have. I didn’t want it to end! I swooned, I cried, I loved all the characters. It was perfection.
Wasn’t sure what to expect when reading this ARC as I was in a bit of a book slump but this made me smile and made me cry. The spells between chapters made me wish I was a witch so I could try them out. The perfect book to read for Halloween
I loved this book. Such a great read and adventure. And I loved the wording used in this book, like when Skyla comments on her family being weird and hocus pocus ways. And then when she’s trying not to think about the boys. Saying “ okay, sky, think of something other than naked Eli. One Mississippi, two Mississippi. It’s not fucking working, Mississippi. I could stop laughing at that part. Strongly recommend this book. Such a feel good adventure story.
This book was the coziest little trap I’ve ever fallen into. One minute I’m sipping tea, thinking “aww, cute snow town,” and the next minute I’m feral, clutching the pages like, “MA’AM WHAT DO YOU MEAN THREE FATED MATES??”
The world-building? Gorgeous. I could practically feel the cold breeze and hear the locals whispering like, “Yep, another supernatural disaster brewing must be Tuesday.”
And the little spells at the start of each chapter? I was reading them like I had any business dabbling with magic. If something starts levitating in my house, I blame this book.
We follow Skyla, who goes from Florida sunshine to Hemlock Hollow’s frosty, witch-infused chaos. She steps foot in this town for two seconds and instantly inherits: 🧙♀️ a family curse 🐺 three dangerously attractive men 🌨️ snow trauma ✨ and a plot thick enough to drown in
The Omegaverse tension?? Listen. LISTEN. I have read slow burns, but this one had me kicking my feet and giggling like a possessed Victorian child. Every growl, every “are you okay?” with that protective edge… I ascended.
Then THE BONDING CEREMONY hits, and suddenly I’m wiping tears, fanning myself, and whispering “this is art.” It was emotional, magical, and so swoony I nearly fell off my couch.
And the Bishop women? Skyla, her mom, her gran absolute icons. If they told me to walk into the woods at midnight with a jar of salt and a questionable chant, I’d be like, “Which direction?” Their love, secrets, and fierce unity gave this story the warmest, witchiest heart.
The ending? A bittersweet, teary HEA that wrapped everything up beautifully while still emotionally ruining me (in a nice way). This standalone RH had everything: spice, wolves, witches, family feels, tension you could cut with a ceremonial dagger I DIDN’T WANT IT TO END.
Absolute perfection. I loved every chaotic, magical second.
Let's start with the vibes: imagine the coziest, most picturesque small town, buried under a blanket of snow, where everyone knows everyone... and a few of them might just be supernatural beings. It’s the perfect setting for our girl Skyla, who trades Florida sun for Hemlock Hollow's frosty mysteries. And speaking of mysteries, the Bishop family curse? The whispers of witches? I was hooked from page one!
But the real magic starts when Skyla literally stumbles into three devastatingly handsome men who just scream trouble in the best way. This is where the Omegaverse elements shine, and let me tell you, the possessive, "who hurt you?" energy is off the charts. The tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife!
My absolute favourite, heart-melting part was the bonding ceremony. It was so beautifully written, full of raw emotion, ancient magic, and enough swoon to power the entire town. It was the perfect payoff for all the delicious build-up.
And can we please talk about the family feels? The Bishop women....Skyla, her mom, her grandma, are a force to be reckoned with. Their bond, their secrets, and their fierce love for each other added such a rich, heartfelt layer to the story. It’s not just about fated mates; it’s about the family you’re born into and the one you find.
In short: This book has it all! Witches, wolves, a snowy small town, a fated bond that will leave you breathless, and a family you'll wish you could join. Do yourself a favour and get lost in Hemlock Hollow. Just maybe leave a light on… the shadows have teeth, after all! 😉🐺✨
This was not what I was expecting, it was better! I expected a cozy, small town romance, (never read the blurb), but this wasn’t cozy at all. It was tense, eery, dangerous, sexy, hot, spicy and heartbreaking. The history of the Bishop’s was sad, finding love and losing it. Nana was amazing, Skyla and her relationship with both her Nana and her mother was solid and beautiful. But I understood her pain at not being told what she was getting into with Eli, Tristan and Caleb. Some kind of training from her family would have been good, instead of sending her into the world like a sacrificial lamb. The Blackthorne guys were hot, sweet, protective and so eager to get it right with Skyla, not that they always did, but you could see their hearts were in the right place, even if they messed up, and they did, a lot. My heart broke for Emma, I kind of hope she gets a second chance story and also for Skyla at the end. I really enjoyed this, the spice was hot, the characters were so well written, I really cared and shed a tear at the end and the story and action were fast paced and punchy. If they write more, I want to read it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️
I just loved everything about this book. There's magic and wolf shifters and the sp!ce is oh so good.
Skyla moves to Hemlock Hollow with her mom and grandma because her mom wanted something new. Her mom opens a shop called Pumpkin Spice Apothecary. Skyla notices weird things when she goes for her run in the woods. Always feels like eyes are watching her. When she is working at the shop, she sees three gorgeous men enter and when one talks to her she feels this pull towards him.
When Skyla goes to a party, she encounters something crazy and when she sees the three guys again she feels these feelings for all three of them.
Skyla will learn there are dangers in this town and that the three guys are hoping to protect her. She will also learn more about herself and her grandma and mom too.
Will Skyla give in to what she feels for these three or will she run the other way? What about the dangers that seem to be wherever she turns? Read this book to find out. Oh so good!
This was just a great story from start to finish and I loved every second of it. Skyla, her mom and grandma have just moved to small town life, her mom has opened an apothecary in town. Skyla is going about her business when she meets Eli, Tristan and Caleb. These young men are HOT HOT HOT!! Btw, I just absolutely love the name Eli.
This book was just beautifully written and the bonding scene between them was just so wonderful and it definitely had me in my feelings.
I hope there are more books like this. It wasn't dark, it did have some scenes though. Overall I thought it was a cozy little PNR book I could read in front of a fireplace (if I had a fireplace) and curl up with a nice cup of chai or hot chocolate.
Absolutely not what I expected, but OMG - I LOVED IT! What I thought I was getting
🎃 Small town romance 🍭 Sugar and spice, everything nice 👻Found Family
What I got 🧙A badass witch FMC from a family of badass witches 🐺 3 hot as hell shifters who are determined to make her the centre of their universe 💀A plot that will have you grabbing your tissues and bursting with joy in the same paragraph
This was the book that popped my omegaverse 🍒 (I was a little terrified TBH - I didn’t realise when I put my hand up for the ARC, I just love Melinda’s books that I have read) but now it definitely will not be the last!
Want a small town fated mates that will take you on a journey of exploration of not only themselves but the magic lying within? Than this one is for you. Skyla along side Eli, Tristan and Caleb navigate into a new kind of life that Skyla could never have thought was possible for herself. 5/5 A must fall read.
Loved this book!!! Perfect for spooky season, it has all the things you could ask for. 🔮 Witch’s ✨ Werewolves 🐺 Omegaverse 🔮 Reverse Harem ✨ Small Town If you like witchy vibes with a side of possessive MMC’s this one is definitely for you.
So hear me out, witches and wolf shifters and a witch omega! Three beautiful wolf shifters that are 2 alphas and a beta. A witch omega that has no idea who she is. This is a must read! Brilliant concept!
I'm already sick of reading the same scene multiple times in the FMCs POV and then AGAIN in the MMCs POV. Especially when even their thoughts are practically the same.
I read this book in one sitting. It was a little outside of my norm, however I was impressed with the story and the characters. The spice level is there for added fun! For the perfect fall romance story with witches, wolves and possessive MMC. Skyla and her men will leave you hoping for their own series.
