Rate this book
Rinne, a huge fan of Buddhism, was searching for a "monk-type," a boy as calm, intelligent and diligent as Lord Buddha himself, when she set her sights on a young, handsome monk-in-training, Yuuryou. She soon learns that this kid, out of his robes, is not her dream boy, but a shallow, irresponsible lady killer who goes by Yura. Is Rinne going to give up on her fantasy, or is there more to Yura than meets the eye?

Overall, 3 stars. The art style is amazing, and very beautiful! but it’s not the cliché writing that necessarily bothers me! Although, at times it does Get OVERLY cliche like when more than three guys confess to her, or she finds herself in unrealistically awkward situations. Now, I really liked how open minded the main protagonist is, and how kind she is, but I couldn’t shake off the weird obsession she had with the main love interest. Now, what I mean is, that she genuinely got irritated by him when he was specifically not the monk type wearing robes,( because she didn’t know him that well either) and when he was, her heart suddenly fluttered and she could not articulate a single thought. For me, I find that way of liking someone quite unrealistic. As for the main love interest, I liked how they also gave him depth, and showed us his backstory, and as to why he has so much self sacrificial love and help to give to people even though deep inside of him, he wants to do whatever he wants, and not to be guided by guilt. I thought his character was quite well written just like the protagonist regarding personality, but I do consider his behavior with girls sometimes quite suspicious. I do understand that all he wanted to do was to help those girls, but that resulted to him being shown as quite the playboy.Overall, the cliché atmosphere may be a little too much for people who prefer authentic plots but it does have its own little twists. Even though I knew some moments could be quite impossible to happen in real life, they still made my heart flutter with happiness for the protagonists. The main characters are somehow well written, though their actions may be questionable but I think it blends well with the plot. The ending felt really rushed and not the right one and that the author could have done better analyzing more and developing their feelings as well as the plot, but that again is just my opinion. So, despite our opinion let’s appreciate the effort that was given into this story!

What a cute story! My feels were all over the place as I was reading this. Now I think I have to go look at young monks wearing robes to see what the fuss is all about...
