Wow! Roni was an amazing fmc, strong and independent. Everything she went through was hard to read but it was written very well.
Roni is on the run from her past and lands in Aspen Hollow when her car breaks down. Meeting the town mechanic, Hayden, the sparks fly for both of them. While her car is in the shop, she stays at Jo's family's Inn and feels a pull to the twin she's never felt before. She wants to put down roots even though she's still afraid. Hayden and her get closer. When her past comes for her, will she finally be free?

This is my first book by Jessi and she didn’t disappoint me at all. I absolutely loved this story.
Hayden is a total sweetheart and we all need one of him in our lives. He’s encouraging and always willing to help because he truly believes in Roni which was sweet. As a main male character, he is one of my top ones and is the definition of book boyfriend!
Seeing how life started for Roni and how she grew and became more confident was amazing. I will be honest I didn’t like any of Roni’s family so when she was able to get away and start making it on her own, I was happy for her.
Moving to a new town, meeting new people and deciding to follow her dreams wasn’t easy and she believed everything was goin too good..and she was always waiting for Lizzie to show up.
What Lizzie or Roni herself doesn’t seem to understand is that there is a whole town that loves Roni and won’t let anything happen to her..but will they be able to get to her in time? What will Hayden do when he finds out Roni is in danger?

Welcome to Apspen Hollow, where love and dreams come true. I absolutely loved Roni's character. Not only is she resilient, she's determined and confident. I mean, buying a dilapidated storefront and restoring it to a beautiful bakery??? (With a bit of help from the hardware store owner.) I absolutely admire her ability to overcome her fear of her sister and try to settle down and make her dream come true with her own two hands. 🖤
Hayden is a perfect example of a southern gentleman, and the way he looks at Roni and treats her is swoon worthy.
And Lizzie? Girl, you've done made it to my list of characters that need to become familiar with a wood chipper. 😡
Despite the novel being short, it set wonderful foundations for other characters, and I absolutely would love to read more about the other couples in Aspen Hollow.

Another great book in the Aspen Hollow Series.... I have to say that I am loving these books and how they are all unfolding. In this book, we have Veronica (Roni) Evans, who is in the worst of situations. With a manipulative, abusive, evil older sister, she has never felt safe in her life. With a little help and a strong will she runs away, but of course her past follows her each time. In Aspen Hollow, though something about the small cozy town makes her want to stay and put down roots, which she does. Of course, love sparks fly right away with Hayden Owens, the mechanic of the town.
I loved that the attraction between Roni and Hayden was instantaneous, and that there was no other person drama that caused them to split or anything. I enjoyed reading about Roni coming out of her shell, and blossoming into her own person . The characters in this book and all the ones before make reappearances, and I honestly can't wait to read more. AND THE RECIPES IN THE BACK OF THE BOOK!!! This book is wrapped with some much emotion, love, friendship, and laughter that you'll want to read it and follow along with the next books.

really good
This was about Veronica. The first part of this book was about her home life. It wasn’t good. She often went to the neighbors to help her out. This started out with her being 10 years old. Her sister was the meanest to her and her parents just let it happen. She ended up leaving at 18 she snuck out when everyone was asleep. Her neighbor took her to the bus station and she left town. She made a friend Wynnie at the town she went to. They lived together and Veronica was about to move out when her sister found her so with the help of her friend she got away and went to her bedroom to get her go bag. This time she ran to Aspen Hollow. She fell in love with the town and she wanted to put down roots so that is what she did. Great book

This was such a cute read despite how it starts off with her heavy upbringing. Roni and Hayden falls fast and falls hard. BOTH OF THEM. They are both equally cute and adorable. I love that Roni was able to find a place to finally call home after everything she been through, and had a support system there with her. Can’t wait for the next story.

This book has found family, insta love, and revenge all wrapped up in a tidy little novella sized book.
A beautiful small town romance, with plenty of interesting side characters, the story feels bigger than it is long, if that makes sense. Completely devoured the book in one sitting, Roni and Hayden are so sweet. Both seem younger than their years, perhaps due to their emotional baggage, but they grow together in such a short time. Will definitely need to follow up with the rest of the series, as I love a good small town romance.

I got a chance to get an early sneak peek at this book, just as I did with 'Like a Pig in... Love by K.L. Thorne', and God this book did not disappoint. This book had me so giddy for Hayden and Roni. I loved that you got glimpses of Laura and Taylor, just enough to see they're still doing great but the focus was all of Roni and Hayden.
I laughed so much while reading this book. It's 100% not fair that it was so short, because I LOVED EVERY DAMN SECOND OF IT.

I am so glad that you can read these books separately, but at the same time, so glad they're interconnected.
Seeing Elliot come back in this book with such a big hint at the end for his potential story also sent me squealing. I'm so ready for Elliot to have his story.
But okay, this book was too damn good. I loved it. It is an HEA. It was a roller coaster. It's not a smut book. It has spice. Not a lot of spice, but the spice is so damn good. Too damn good. Like… Jessi didn't disappoint with this.
The only part of this book I didn't care for were Kenina and Reika, their appearances seemed so small, and awkward, but they're important even if it was for a blip. If anything… it just really made me want more of their story. So I could understand them better, I hope I get to read about them in this Aspen Hollow Series eventually. I know appear more in Like a Pig in Love, and it's a big piece, but for this story they just didn't have enough screen time for me to care about their significance.
Either way, this book was still so good. I laughed and I cried at the end for Roni and Wynnie, and for the hint at some love for Elliot.

This book is by a newer author which I enjoyed their writing style. I enjoyed how the author used details to make the characters pop off the pages. They are creative, strong and engaging. This is the third book in this series but can be read as a standalone. I look forward to reading the previous books in the series as well. This is a well written story about Veronica and Hayden. Hayden has lived in Aspen Hollow his whole life and has no desire to leave. Veronica has been on the run almost her whole life. What happens when these two meet is something you don't want to miss. They are great characters that have chemistry and attraction. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout which made the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story that kept me coming back for more. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

Bacon With Wrenches is book three of the Aspen Hollow Series.
Roni is running from her traumatic past and arrives in Aspen Hollow. There is something about this small town which makes her want to put down roots and embrace life there. Along the way she meets Hayden and they majorly hit it off. Through being in this town Roni is able to get the courage she needs to stand up to her past. I loved how when it came time Hayden did everything he could to protect Roni.
This was a super cute read, although it did have some dark flashback moments. It makes you realize, that sometimes your found family is better for you than your blood family. Definitely recommend this one.

Roni's story was absolutely amazing to read, I loved every minute of it. It's such a crazy journey. I couldn't put it down. My heart broken for reni at times. The story made me feel all kinds of emotions.
It's action packed, cute and spicy, with great characters, storyline, plot, adorable small town, instalove and revenge. What more do you need. Ugh I just didn't want it to end. .
I'm loving these stories from aspen hollow. Can't wait to read more. Highly recommend.

I have really been enjoying the Aspen Hollow series which is an interconnected series that is written by different authors. I have loved seeing this town written through the eyes of different authors and it has just been stunning.
Bacon with Wrenches gives us found family, insta love, revenge, and it's all tied up in this lovely little novella that is quick and easy to read.
Aspen Hollow is a special town for so many people. We have seen that with each of the previous books and this book is no different. Veronica gets the opportunity to see just how special Aspen Hollow really is.
This town is so welcoming for everyone who finds themselves wandering into town, and when Roni finds her car breaking down in the town she starts to wonder if this could be the perfect town for her to find her fresh start. Very quickly she finds that she has her own bakery at the tip of her fingertips.
Then she stops in at Hayden's shop to get her car fixed and there is this instant connection between the two of them. They have such an amazing chemistry and it was just so satisfying to read. And together Roni and Hayden are just so sweet together despite their emotional baggage. But, so quickly they grow together and their bond grows so strong and you can see that they belong together and they just fit.
But, then an enemy from Roni's past comes into town and threatens everything that Roni has built for herself and threatens the relationship that Roni and Hayden have built.
Can Roni and Hayden survive the hurricane that is Roni's past?
Hayden worries that he is going to once again get hurt. His heart has already been bruised, walked all over, and he's been left with trust issues and he worries that with Roni's past walking into Aspen Hollow he is going to once again end up getting hurt.
Can Hayden trust that Roni is not going to hurt him and that he can trust her with his bruised and battered heart?
All the side characters that we got to meet in this book made it that much more interesting and made it feel so much bigger than it is and it made it feel so much longer than it actually is.
I have loved getting to see this world through all these different authors' eyes and I can't wait till this series is complete and I can read these books back to back. I am so looking forward to reading the rest of this series.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series and I really hope that we get to see the return of past characters in future books. I would love to see what happened to the characters that we have already met and where they have gone and what they have done.

This was a great quick read with wonderful MCs! Roni ran away from home as soon as she turns 18 to get away from her toxic family. After years of traveling alone she finds herself in the small town Aspen Hollow. She instantly feels a connection to the town and decides to follow her dream and open up a bakery. She’s thriving in her new life when she meets local mechanic Hayden who owns a garage next door to her new bakery. They have an instant connection. It was so sweet seeing them form a relationship together. Everything is going as planned until Roni’s past comes looking for her. Can she put an end to the threat once and for all? I absolutely loved all of the friends Roni made in Aspen Hollow and I can’t wait to read more from Jessi Pollock!!!

This was my first book by Jessi and it won't be my last. I finished it in one sitting.. Aspen Hollow is a special place for a lot of people. Seeing how welcoming it was for Roni was nice. Roni and Hayden have an instant connection that I loved. This series has hooked me from book one. I have loved getting to see this world between several authors eyes!!! I cant wait for the rest of them.

Another great books in the multi author Aspen Hollow series. I loved roni she grows soda confident and overcomes so much. Hayden is is a great grumpy to her sunshine. The insta love is so cute to watch. The Easter eggs from the other books were cool. I read this so quickly because I had to see how it ended.

Loved this! She's a new to me author & this is Roni & Hayden's story! She breaks down in their little town & when he sees her for the first time, she was it for him! I loved this story, it was a quick read & the spice was fantastic! Highly recommend this book & author!
