Howdy, bud. It's Rusty. Like any space trucker worth his stardust, I know a fella's ship is more than a machine, it's your home sweet home. Our rig Nessie's got everything we need to haul cargo across the galaxy, but when it comes to creature comforts, she's about as cozy as sharing a sleeping bag with a wet porcupine.
And it ain't just the decor that needs work. Our old girl has more mechanical problems than a used car lot run by Evel Knievel. So we're gonna hit up a spaceship pick-n-pull yard to hunt for bargains like my grandma at a flea market with bingo money to burn. And we'd better get those repairs done quick, 'cause we got a new job offer for a cargo run too juicy to pass up.
This adventure's gonna be a little bit home-improvement show, a little bit junkyard jamboree, and a whole lotta laughs. But with good friends, bad jokes, and plenty of elbow grease, we're gonna turn this rust bucket into the comfiest cruiser in the cosmos.

This book filled a pleasant interlude between my previous book of saving a friendly alien race from extinction and the next book where Earths' history must not be rearranged by time travelers. This book had the no stress fun of going to a spaceship boneyard where the characters looked for used parts to fix up their old space freighter. Good clean (well grimy) fun where interesting things are found and salvaged. No surprise evil monsters to interrupt trying to eat our crew. This crew works together, has fun, nice friends, good meals and a wholesome lifestyle. Jack Bodett is amazing by continuing to write very interesting no stress books where people live their lives and are not called on to save the universe. They are called on to help their friends and enjoy doing so. Recommended.

Evil Evil Cliffhanger !!!!!!!
This was a fun read in the the true No Stress Style! A "Redneck SciFi RomCom" in the best meaning of the phrase! A quick read that ends in a nasty, sneaky,, fashion... LOL! I was so invested in the story that the reality of a month and a half wait until the next sentence took a minute to sink in! 😂😂 Oh Well my library is filled with half a dozen Other Kindle Unlimited series I am reading simultaneously. I really enjoy these books by Jack Bodett for their literal stress free, (except for the cliffhangers), reading experiences.

if you like Jerry Boyde, you’ll enjoy this author
This is a lighthearted funny fantasy. It has lots of cultural references that feel like inside jokes. I’ve enjoyed the entire series. This is not serious commentary on our society. No swearing. No sex.

Book 6 in the series
Rusty and Mike need some parts to refurbish Nessie so they head to a giant scrapyard where they are like kids in a toy store; they are delighted with what they find. A great story.
