In a world where science has conquered mortality, humanity is promised a new era of endless life. Dylan Marin, the charismatic and infallible CEO of EternityNow, introduces the ImmortaCell vaccine, a medical marvel that promises to eradicate death and suffering forever. As the world embraces this new "immortal age," one family, the Callahans, feels a chilling spiritual dread. Guided by a deep faith, they refuse the vaccine, seeing it as a counterfeit promise.
Their quiet dissent quickly turns into a desperate struggle for survival. As society embraces EternityNow's mandates, including a system that makes life impossible for the mortal, the Callahans are forced to flee to a hidden sanctuary in the wilderness. There, a young tech prodigy named Aiden Victor, who finds his new purpose in the wilderness sanctuary, becomes a crucial part of the resistance. But the spiritual war escalates when EternityNow introduces a new "booster" for children turning thirteen—a product designed not just for physical health but to secure a willing spiritual allegiance. Aiden's younger brother, Leo, is only weeks away from his thirteenth birthday, putting him in immediate danger.
With his younger brother's soul on the line, Aiden must leave the safety of his sanctuary and venture into the crumbling city, risking everything to expose the lie and save his brother from a choice that would bind him to a false eternity. In a world tearing itself apart, where the line between savior and serpent has blurred, can a family's enduring faith uncover the truth before humanity is forever lost?

Review: Eternity Now by Tara West
Tara West’s Eternity Now delivers a gripping Christian dystopian story that asks one of humanity’s oldest questions: what would we sacrifice in exchange for eternal life? In a near-future world dominated by the biotech giant EternityNow, humanity embraces the ImmortaCell vaccine—a supposed cure for death itself. But behind this promise of immortality lies a spiritual trap with consequences far greater than physical survival.
At the heart of the novel is the Callahan family, whose refusal to accept the vaccine sets them on a dangerous path of exile and resistance. Their unwavering faith provides both their strength and their greatest challenge as society turns against those who will not comply. Aiden Victor, determined to protect his younger brother Leo, emerges as a courageous figure who must uncover the truth about EternityNow’s sinister “booster” before Leo’s thirteenth birthday seals his fate.
West weaves themes of faith, family, free will, and sacrifice with suspense and urgency. Dylan Marin, EternityNow’s charismatic CEO, is a chilling reminder of how easily people can be swayed by promises of progress and comfort. In contrast, the Callahans’ devotion to God emphasizes that true eternity cannot be bought or engineered—it can only be received through faith.
✨ Personal reflection: This book didn’t just entertain me—it made me think deeply. As someone who lives with chronic health issues and daily pain, I found myself asking: would I stand firm in faith, waiting for eternal healing in Heaven with Jesus? Or would I be tempted by immediate relief and the promise of endless life on earth, even if it meant giving up eternal glory with my Savior? The temptation would be real. And that realization stretched my faith in powerful ways, reminding me that only Jesus holds the key to true life, and that eternity with Him is worth every trial here.
With sharp pacing, high stakes, and a heart for spiritual truth, Eternity Now is both a page-turner and a faith-strengthening read. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
AAAAMAZING!! If you love Matched or The Hunger Games but wish they had a strong Christian foundation, Eternity Now is the book you’ve been waiting for! This Christian dystopian is packed with rich character development, jaw-dropping twists, and beautifully written moments that stay with you. It’s gripping, inspiring, and impossible to put down!!! Christian dystopian fans will be obsessed, and even if you aren’t Christian, you’ll still love it!! 🫶
Wonderful! The concept is phenomenal & creates a tense & engaging narrative. One can imagine these things actually happening, and the storyline is thought-provoking & moving.
The copy I purchased unfortunately was uploaded by mistake and had constant switches between past tense and present tense. And as well, a few theological questions as it wasn’t clear the narrative took place after the 3.5 years of peace. These issues were thankfully cleared up quickly by the author.
Aside from these, a thrilling story revolving around end-times events, and the choice everyone must make whether to follow temporary temptations and empty promises, or a true eternal life with the Father.
These are choices we ultimately all make at some point, even if not on such a grand scale, but nonetheless with major eternal ramifications.
Overall, a must read, and thoroughly enjoyed. I look forward with hopeful anticipation for book 2.
In Eternity Now, Tara West delivers a masterful blend of dystopian tension, spiritual urgency, and heart-pounding suspense. It is all wrapped in a page turner you won’t be able to put down. Set in an age where science promises immortality, West dials up the pressure with a chilling moral dilemma at its core: what if eternal life comes with a peril you can't afford to ignore?
Eternity Now is not just any other book in the dystopian genre, it is a bold look of what eternal life might cost us if separated from faith. Those who couldn't put down The Hunger Games and still wonder about the bigger questions in life, will love Eternity Now. West invites us into a high stakes world where moral clarity matters as much as survival and that makes this novel unforgettable.
What if you could get a shot and live forever? Tara West creates a world where that is the expected, where evil is good and good is evil. With similarities to Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye’s Left Behind series and Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, Tara West’s protagonists struggle for survival in a world where Christians face mounting persecution and danger. As I read, I had to find out what happens next, but at the same time didn’t want the book to end. I wished some of the characters were more fully developed, but this was a great read.

I enjoyed this book a lot!!! The only critique I had was wanting to hear what happened when Jesus returned at the end!!! I was sad about some character deaths too! But I loved the characters and the resilience of them. It was well written.
