⤿ the most "i wish you would" by taylor swift coded book i've ever read <3

"I'm not the kind of girl who can stay because of a guy."
"I know. but I'm not the kind of guy who can watch you go again without telling you I'm in love with you."

⤿ buddy read with my rep girlie kangna, i had so much fun doing the most unorganized amazing buddy read with u lol <3

do you guys hear that? it's me screaming because of how cute this book is <3 i'll admit, the first half of the book i was not feeling it (hence why it took us 3 months to finish our buddy read anyways lol) but THAT LAST HALF??? i was smiling, crying, screaming, blushing, just in love with this story 🩷🤞

⤿ natalia 🎨₊˚⊹♡
she reminded me sm of sadie wen from i hope this doesn't find you 🤭 i didn't relate to her completely (although i bet i will once i enter senior year lol) but her anxiety, overthinking, + panic attacks were really realistic and relatable <3 i loved watching her grow throughout the book, and her character development is one of the best i've read 🫶 i'm dedicating "you're on your own kid" to her 🩷

"He's not someone I should be running from, he's someone I should be running to."

⤿ ethan 📖₊˚⊹♡
ethan?? no you mean the love of my life because wdym he's smart, outgoing, and understanding? where can i get one? 🩷🤞 but in all seriousness, ethan actually had so much depth to him, which is something i feel like ya books often lack especially for love interests. he has a lot of issues with his dad and you can see over time how he struggles and deals with it, and i think the way it was handled in the end was the right way <3

"What if we don't work?"
"What if we do?"

₊˚꒰💌꒱ natalia x ethan
i love them so much they're just so cute <3 the miscommunication annoyed me but once they got together i completely forgot about all the misunderstandings before 🫶 they're very gf who overthinks and bf who reassures her (if that's even a trope haha). i also love how they both help each other be the best version of themselves because i think the right person for you should make you better & i'm so glad the book reinforced that 🤭🩷

"I am my truest, best self with him."
"I'm only me when I'm with her."

overall, i adore this book so much 🤭 i didn't expect to love this so much but i did, and it honestly made me feel more hopeful that things will work out just as they did for all these characters <3 speaking of which, i think it's SO CUTE how the side characters got happy endings too, and the ending was just perfect 🫶✨

also my favorite quote ... 🩷
"You two have always had this...snow globe thing Like, your own magical world. Everyone else can see it, but you're so deep in it, you can't. I'm just shaking the snow for you."
& that's why we stan rainn + sienna (best side characters fr)

⤿ thank you so much to netgalley for providing me with this arc!!

┆.𖥔 ݁ ˖ "we know that whatever the future holds, we'll face it like we have everything else in our friendship; by turning every risk into a chance. every kiss into a promise. every ending into a beginning." ₊⊹

this was such a cute ya romance and perfect for the summer! before i go any further, i do want to mention that this book has a heavy miscommunication trope. i know many people dislike that (myself included), but this book really surprised me. was i frustrated for more than half the book? yes. but at the same time, i was so invested and could not put this down. it was fast paced, the romance was so cute, AND it has a taylor swift title, so i highly recommend this.

┆.𖥔 ݁ ˖ "light shines through him, and he creates color for me. it's the way he's exactly himself. the way he lets me be exactly who i am. no armor, no fake smiles. and i'm his favorite person. and he's mine." ₊⊹

it's senior sunrise and ethan and natalia haven't seen each other since junior prom where they almost crossed the line from best friends to something more. after ghosting each other all summer, ethan is desparate to fix their relationship, but new problems arise that keep them from confessing their true feelings. during the sunrise, the senior class has a tradition of writing letters to themselves. as natalia tries to retrieve her own letter, the wind scatters 7 of the letters across the beach. now ethan and natalia must work together to get the letters back while mending their relationship along the way.

this story had me hooked within the first few chapters. dual pov, the tension, the jealousy, THE ANGST, the pining - it was all so heartfelt, frustrating, and so entertaining. but as much as i loved ethan and natalia, they couldn't communicate to save their lives. honestly, it was kind of realistic for teenagers, but it was still annoying to read. if they sat down and talked to each other for 10 minutes, this book would have been 20 pages. anyways, i actually connected to these characters so much. once you find out their reasons for the lack of communication, it makes it so much easier to understand their actions. and the ending, UGHHHH so cute.

this girl drove me absolutely insane but i still loved her. she constantly tries to be perfect to protect herself from being seen and struggles with self-acceptance. after learning more about her, my frustration eased into understanding because i know what it's like when anxiety leads you to assume the worst. the miscommunication was still incredibly annoying, but nobody's perfect and her character development was amazing.

┆.𖥔 ݁ ˖ "because unless i'm perfect, i don't like the real me." ₊⊹

┆.𖥔 ݁ ˖ "what do i want? am i allowed to want something if it's selfish? what if what i want hurts everyone around me? and worst of all: what if i want the wrong thing?" ₊⊹

⋆⋅𓍢ִ ethan ✉ ‧₊˚.
i think it's safe to say i fell in love with ethan. within the first few pages we learn he's smart, likes reading, has a great personality, and is flirty, so what's not to love? 🤭 just like natalia though, he needs to work on communication. but like i said before, learning about their struggles made it easier to understand. ethan struggles with self-image and regret. he went from being bullied to being the center of attention once his dad gained fame. the same kids who bullied him now put him on a pedestal and he feels like he has to live up to this idea they created of him. he hates what fame did to his dad and fears popularity will do the same to him. it was all just so sad and i love him. ☹🫶

┆.𖥔 ݁ ˖ "i don't want to be the kind of person who has to live up to everyone else's opinion of me. who even are you, then, if you're constantly giving pieces of yourself away?" ₊⊹

┆.𖥔 ݁ ˖ "since it's getting more intolerable by the hour being me, maybe i should really try being him." ₊⊹

┆.𖥔 ݁ ˖ "i'm only me when i'm with her." ₊⊹

⋆⋅𓍢ִ natalia + ethan 💌 ‧₊˚.
when they actually get it together, their relationship is so precious. they're best friends and nothing could change that. even when their relationship was rocky, they understood each other with just one look. too bad they couldn't see how obviously in love they were the whole time. anyways, the way they brought out the best in each other was everything to me and their love for each other was so pure. and the way they talked about each other in their povs, omg i could cry.

┆.𖥔 ݁ ˖ "because no one makes me feel more myself than him. and no matter what he feels for me, i can no longer deny that i feel everything for him." ₊⊹

┆.𖥔 ݁ ˖ "i'm so in love with you. it's like...i do nothing but love you." ₊⊹

side characters
the side characters in this book were amazing. i loved rainn and sienna so much and thank god for them getting natalia and ethan to realize they're in love with each other. prashant was hilarious and i loved how each character had their own personality, even if they weren't the main focus. + i loved this quote from rainn, it's giving you are in love by taylor swift:

┆.𖥔 ݁ ˖ "you two have always had this...snow globe thing. like, your own magical world. everyone else can see it, but you're so deep in it, you can't. i'm just shaking the snow for you." ₊⊹

final thoughts: perfect ya summer romance for those who love second chance romance and don't mind the chaos that comes with miscommunication. this book has a special place in my heart because it was my very first arc and i'm so grateful i was able to read this early!

જ*⁀➷Summary

I Wish You Would is a young adult novel about best friends Natalia and Ethan, who, after disastrous events on prom night, meet again at their senior sunrise after avoiding each other all summer. After Natalia makes a bad decision that turns into something even worse, Ethan is tossed in the mix and they both have to see through the damage she caused together. But how are they going to fix things for senior sunrise when they can't even fix things between themselves?

જ*⁀➷Theme
The heart wants what the heart wants.

જ*⁀➷Characters

Natalia 🌷
I liked her! She had drive, intelligence, and I enjoyed reading in her pov. Sometimes, she did things that made me think she was just after attention, but maybe those rare moments were just in my head. The only thing I will say that made absolutely no sense and frustrated me beyond belief was when she painted... in her head. It's one thing to have Synesthesia, but it's a whole different thing when you paint a whole picture in your head. I don't really know how to explain it, but the whole painting in her head thing made me want to pull my hair out.

“He's a lighthouse in this storm, his presence my safe harbor.”

“It almost hurts, how much I love him.”

Ethan 🌹
Ethan was such a sweet and nerdy mmc! I looked forward to reading chapters in his pov and I was extremely grateful he didn't paint in his head or something equally concerning when he was feeling such strong emotions. It's obvious to see how deeply he feels for everything around him: Natalia, his friends, his family, and even his dad.

“Hey, you.”

“I love her. Holy shit, I love her.”

Rainn 🍄
Somethings Rainn did were very infuriating, and the fact that he was so calm while he did infuriating things infuriated me more.
So yeah, I love him.

“I can't get mad at the ocean for making waves, dude. I'm a surfer.”

Sabrina 🌻
She had me cracking up so much! She wasn't very present, but I enjoyed all the scenes she was in. It made me happy to read about her and I'm glad she got the happy ending she deserved.

Janelle & Claire 🖕🏼
Oh boy. These guys.
I don't think I've actually loathed a character in a book this much. And to add to that... THERE WAS TWO OF THEM!! Both of these bitches just ran around causing chaos and upending lives. I'm surprised nobody in this book jumped these two because they really, really deserved it. Janelle might have gotten a bit better by the end, but that doesn't make me hate her any less! And honestly, Claire just existing made me mad from the very beginning, before she even fucked everyone up.

“For someone so pretty, you have the ugliest personality.” ~Natalia
I can't lie, she kinda ate you up with that one.

જ*⁀➷Plot
I think I had the wrong idea of this book going into it. I expected it to take place all at night, and I expected Ethan and Natalia to bond by themselves, mending everything broken between them, while trying to fix Natalia's mistake. But instead, we got a group of bitchy high school students chilling on a beach all afternoon, and only about 5 or so chapters actually took place during the night. And during the afternoon, Ethan and Natalia barely even talked; they just glared at each other from across the beach while thinking about how much they love each other. I don't know, I guess I just wanted something more passionate and faster-paced. It just wasn't what I was expecting, and it caught me off guard a bit. I still really enjoyed it though!

જ*⁀➷Ending

Surprisingly, I really, really loved the ending. I don't think it was too rushed or too stretched out. It made perfect sense and it made me feel happy to read it. And, we got an epilogue, so points!

જ*⁀➷Quotes
💐“I am my truest, best self with him.”

💐“I'm only me when I'm with her.”

💐“We kiss like we're running out of time. I guess we are.”

💐“I hate you,” she says quietly.
“You love me.”

💐“What if we don't work?”
“What if we do?”

💐“I smack him, but my heart isn't in it. I love this nerd so much.”

💐“If I keep running every time I'm scared, I'll be running forever.”

💐“All of it. You. Me. This sky... Our beginning.”

💐“For now, all we do is hold each other and breathe. Because we've waited so long for this. We've waited so long for us.”

The perfect YA summer romance read.

I know I've said many times YA books aren't for me anymore, but LOOK AT THE COVER AND it's friends-to-lovers.

This is how it’s supposed to feel. When longing meets knowing.

I Wish You Would Read This Story. It’s messy. Adorable. So vividly written! AND includes one of my favorite tropes: friends to lovers!

I have to admit, I was already in love with this story before I even started reading. I adored the cover, loved the blurb, and then saw raving reviews. So I had to know if my instant crush would survive my reading sittings. And how it did! Mixed (Latina) but white-passing Natalia and ‘hating his famous father’ Ethan just cemented themselves into my heart.

Two days, this story takes place in less than two days. And pours all the doubt and the hurt, and even the love from before on the pages. It’s perfectly paced, and the writing is so vibrant! And it’s a debut y’all! A fantastic debut!

I loved to read those letters and guess who those letters were from. Letters about catfishing someone, coming out, doing what you really want to do, and so many other topics.

Thanks so much, Tatiana from Fiercereads, for sending me an invite to the ARC of this book!

Actual rating 4.5 stars.

🎧 ~ I wish you would, say don’t go & afterglow

(many thanks to NetGalley for granting me an arc in exchange for an honest review!)

3.5⭑ !!

⋆☀︎。 I was soso excited and grateful to get accepted for this arc!! After being in a bit of a reading slump, I Wish You Would was exactly what I needed! It was sooo cute and bingable, and I had a sm fun reading it 🤭

⋆☀︎。 The story definitely had some cliche bits, but I really liked the part with the letters! Plus the romance was just precious. Ethan and Natalia had so much love for each other, my heart was bursting 🤍 ngl, I’m jealous. I’m so happy that they found their happily ever afters.

⋆☀︎。 And most importantly, I Wish You Would definitely reminded me of the Taylor Swift song, which was what I was really here for lol.

i wish you would come back, wish i'd never hung up the phone like i did. i wish you knew that i'd never forget you as long as i'd live ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃 ࣪ ִֶָ☾.

this book was the perfect end to my reading year, i loved how it showed that sometimes a fresh start is all that we need and that life really isn't that serious haha

ethan and natalia were the CUTEST we love childhood friends to lovers (with a fall-out in the middle but oh well)
their story was everything 🫶🏻 can't believe it took them so long to realise they're in love with each other 😭

this book had the miscommunication trope (MAXED) and it did get frustrating because why couldn't they just sit down and talk but i loved how everything turned out perfect in the end.

also, can we just talk about the side characters??? they were the best. sienna and rainn were so mature, everyone needs friends like them 🥹

this book felt eerily similar to ann liang's books but i'm not complaining because i love them 🫣 would recommend this book to anyone looking for a cute, but realistic ya book 💗

Natalia: i'm so in love with her passion for art and how she describes the colours she sees when she has different moods. as someone who also loves art, this was so fascinating to read about!! I also really lover her in general and how she takes care about everything like her friends and school.

Ethan: probably one of the best book boyfriends ever hello?! I love this guy so much, where can I find someone like him😭 Natalia and he are meant for each other, he's so perfect for her. It was so touching to read how he helped her breathe away her panic attacks. I love how he's so loyal and scared of hurting someone and how she's the prettiest girl alive for him.

This is like a 3.75 stars

This book is crazy. They beat around the bush the whole time and I’m such a “get to the point” person and it was pissing me off.

I love Rainn. He’s the greatest character in this book and he’s someone I need to find irl asap.

ETHAN

I collapse back onto the bench and bury my head in my hands and cry.

I cry like I haven't cried since seventh grade, when I got thrown against a locker so hard it chipped my front tooth. I cry wondering what is so wrong with me that no one stays for me. I cry from a place no one can reach.

I wasn’t rlly invested in this book and I didn’t like Ethan that much either but here? I cried right there with him.

Anyway, don’t rlly recommend, but wtv. Read it if you’re bored

Secrets are like a wall. They protect you by keeping others out. Or they protect others but keep you locked in. Either way, they leave you in a prison of one with no way out but total destruction.

rating: 4.25

similar vibes to i hope this doesn't find you but instead of one person's emails getting leaked, it's several people's !

this was actually so endearing, heartfelt, and charming coming of age story about secrets and finding the courage to share and chase your dreams. it perfectly incapsulates all the difficulties in high school and, briefly but tactfully touches on some tougher topics like sexual harassment, inappropriate adult/minor relationships, infidelity, transphobia, racism, taking *that next step* in romantic relationships, etc.

i was impressed w lauriers's ability to make an ensemble of diverse and distinct characters. none of the side characters felt wasted, and i especially loved prashant. there were some really adorable LOL moments as well.

i'm happy to see more YA stories like this for teens!

This book was pretty cute and compulsively readable! While it annoyed me so much (lowkey thought I was gonna burst a blood vessel) I still couldn't put it down??? And just so you all know, this book has a HEAVY miscommunication plot, like it's for basically 80-85% of this book it is UNAVOIDABLE. if you hate miscommunication, I would avoid this, because while I enjoyed this book, I would never consider a re-read because it made me so mad.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Best friends to lovers
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ 24 hr love story
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Miscommunication
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Dual POV

Alright so basically Natalia and Ethan share a kiss on prom night, then Natalia gets insecure and ghosts Ethan for the summer 😒. They are forced to spend time together, during senior sunrise, and basically over the next 24 hrs, we are faced with so much angst and jealousy as we watch Natalia and Ethan fall in love.

: ̗̀➛𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬

These characters were fine to me. Natalia got on my nerves so so so much, but also I kind of see where she is coming from. she is definitely the biggest opp in her own love story. Because with all miscommunication, if Ethan was treating me the way he treated Natalia, there would not be a single question in my mind that he was in love with me. LIKE OMG, these characters can be so dense sometimes.

Ethan was a cutie pie. I feel such strong sympathy for his situation, but im glad that he got the ending that he deserved. I definitely enjoyed being in his POV wayyyy more than Natalia's. Even if it was JUST as frustrating. Ethan is a pretty mid book boyfriend for me, you could tell that he wanted Natalia SO bad. But bc this book was mid, im prolly gonna forget all about him 😞

: ̗̀➛𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬

I think I've said all that I need to say... this book was entertaining and cute. but also (if you couldn't already tell) annoying as hell.

This book would have been so much better if the characters actually TALKED to each other. The whole story basically revolves around the miscommunication trope, which I hate with every fibre of my being. I just found myself frustrated with the characters throughout the entire book, especially Natalia. She was very unlikeable and dense and I couldn’t really understand her. There is also a love triangle (square?), which annoyed me as well. All in all, I got sucked in by the cover, but the story didn’t hold up for me.

big thanks to NetGalley for providing me with this arc in exchange for an honest review!

welcome, welcome, folks! (this is my first arc!)

genre: YA romance
age rating: 14+
swearing: infrequent strong language
spice: none (0/🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶)

tropes 🥰
🌊 24-hour romance

🌊 friends to lovers

🌊 dual POV

🌊 MISCOMMUNICATION! this book's storyline is 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 around miscommunication so if that isn't for you, maybe skip this read

⚠️ TW: anxiety and SA (let me know if I missed any!)

plot 💌
over the summer, Natalia and Ethan ghosted one another after the events on prom night. they don't know how to fix what was broken but when Natalia mistakenly loses personal letters during senior sunrise, she must team up with Ethan to retrieve them. will they mend their relationship and find the letters before the sun rises?

what I liked 💗
☼ the chemistry between the characters! it was never purely physical and they truly cared for each other

☼ the side characters were well-written

☼ Natalia and Ethan had flaws. they were 3-dimensional! (we love to see that!)

☼ the PINING! they both loved each other from the start and seeing them secretly want each other on both sides KILLED me. the dual POV made it 10x worse

☼ the ending. it was true to the characters and wasn't rushed at all. you also got to see them at graduation!

what I didn't like 💔
☁︎ how they were constantly fighting. while some of the fighting elevated the story, it was often unnecessary and I felt that Natalia and Ethan should've been able to resolve some of their issues without the arguments

☁︎ when they fought at least it was getting them SOMEWHERE. it almost felt as if they just sat by the waves and thought about how much they loved the other and never thought to talk to the other CALMLY. they tried, I will give them that but they could've (and should’ve) done more

overall 💞
I loved this book! it was so sweet. while there were things that could've been done better, I don't think I'll be forgetting these characters and their story anytime soon! :))

“I Wish You Would” was the perfect teenage love angst romance with a friends to lovers trope, that I didn’t know I needed.

“Fame is proof that the people are gullible.”

My Thoughts:

Firstly, I have to admit, the cover was what made me start the book. I had other books I started reading and I immediately dropped them to make room for this one. And I am glad I did, because I devoured it in days! There is so much tension from the very start from both sides. I loved the double POV, so we knew how both Ethan and Natalia felt. But there were so many times where I shouted at the book: “Will you two just bloody talk to each other!” 🙂

“I try not to stare at her, but it’s an effort. The moody sky brings out the dark blue of her eyes, and the wind keeps lifting the tumble of her long hair away from her face. I realise with a significant gut drop that I could look at her forever and never get bored.”

The other part that really annoyed me was when Natalia would believe everything Claire says…

“Thank you for helping me understand that no matter how good the education, some people are doomed to be ignorant. You’re such a lost cause, I bet your parents change the subject when their friends ask about you.”

I really liked the idea of the ritual for kicking off senior year. Pouring your heart out into a piece of paper and letting it go. The whole message of the book was bravery, and it made me think of what I would do if I was braver.

“I don’t want to be the kind of person who has to live up to everyone else’s opinions of me. Who even are you, then, if you’re constantly giving pieces of yourself away.”

Very short and sweet, it was a lovely novel to read. It has a great potential to be made into a movie, and I hope to one day see it on the big screen, and take credit for the idea. (just kidding) 🙂

“Akira Kurosawa was the first director to use slow motion as a turning point in his movie Seven Samurai. Somehow, he figured out before anyone else that there are moments in life when time slows down just long enough for you to realise that nothing will be the same once it speeds up again.”

It gave me a Nicholas Sparks vibe from “The Last Song”. I would definitely recommend it if you are a teen/YA romance fan, and especially if you are a fan of the “friends to lovers” trope.

I love a nice friends to more story, but add in the element of secrets coming to light over a senior class party and I was eagerly anticipating this one.

Unfortunately, it let me down in a big way. The two leads could not communicate with each other if their lives depended on it and kept jumping to conclusions and making assumptions about each other. I get that they’re teenagers but since the reader can see both of their thoughts, it made their lack of communication more frustrating. There’s not just lack of communication between the couple — neither of them could communicate with their families or friends well either.

I found myself liking the side characters a lot more, especially the friends to the main couple.

Sadly this was a miss for me.

I haven't swooned this much over a YA book since Today, Tonight, Tomorrow and Better Than The Movies. I LOVED this so much. The characters were all great, I loved the romance. This plot would make the best movie ever like Netflix needs to jump on this ASAP. There are some more heavy topics in here so be sure to check triggers. Really need to get my hands on a physical copy so I can annotate it! If you need a cute swoon worthy YA go read this!!

I loved the audiobook. It was dual POV with two narrators which is my favorite.

Oh my god. As someone who is absolutely sucker for best-friends-to-lovers, this book captured the mutual yearning and the pain PERFECTLY.

The book takes place over the course of one short school trip, where tradition is for everyone to write a private letter to themselves answering the question “what would you do if you were braver?” For Natalia and Ethan, long-time best friends whose friendship is on the rocks after nearly hooking up in the name of a backup pact two months ago, the letter is the only place they’ve let themselves write down their true feelings. Not to mention all the other stuff going on in their lives: broken families, secret dreams, and even the possibility of moving away. When a burst of wind suddenly scatters several letters — which may or may not include Natalia and Ethan’s — the two are forced to work together to stop the secrets from getting out, while having to deal with their hearts in the process.

I had absolutely zero reason to worry about the short time frame of the story because from the very first page I was captivated. The book did such an amazing job setting up the backstory with what happened with Ethan and Natalia as well as their individual personalities and lives, showing how their relationship dynamic was and currently is, and then giving us a fantastic roller coaster ride of emotional ups and downs over the course of the school trip. There were heart-filled conversations, dramatic fights, tense class activities — and overall there was not one boring moment. The plot progression happened so naturally, and so did the character development during it.

I’ve never had any strong opinions about books in multiple perspectives, but this book is an amazing example of how it should be done. I can’t imagine it any other way. Getting both Natalia and Ethan’s point of view meant I was truly able to empathize with both characters as they each dealt with their own issues; the misunderstandings felt reasonable because their thought processes were explained, and best of all, we got to see both of them pine for each other in their own way. It was everything I wanted and more.

I’m also just so impressed with the characterizations of both our leads. I feel like I absolutely know the ins and outs of their dreams, their habits, their fears — and not once did I feel information overload, or that I was being told and not shown. Even the side characters are personalized really well; I feel like I know all of them.

There’s a really fantastic maturity to the book as well. Sure, we get our high school drama moments (which I shamelessly love) but we also get their worries about the family and the future, and we see them acknowledging that there’s more to life than romance. The practicality and realism is so beyond what I would have expected and it added so much depth to their relationship. This is more than just a teen romance.

I can’t praise this novel enough, but just know that it’s been a long time since a book has given me such butterflies. I Wish You Would is a book that reminded me exactly why I love reading about love.

Everyone will talking about this new exciting school year romance. I Wish You Would is a romance in my view is for 14 to 23 years olds and including adults that love reading Ya Fiction. I enjoyed every single page of this well written School love story, because it was something so different. It’s one of those romance stories that completely pulls on the heartstrings, with young love in a Senior year. Natalia and Ethan, they have always been close friends since they were at middle school together. On the prom night, Natalia and Ethan have a chat in his bedroom, sharing secrets, when Ethan kisses Natalia. Claire, Natalia’s friend seems to like Ethan a bit too much. There’s always that friend that like the same boy as you. It seems that Ethan and Natalia are in love with each other, without them both knowing about each other’s feelings and just don’t know how to tell each other. Things start to work in their favour, as during a senior year class, the pupils, are given a new project, writing the task of the Lion letter, is to write about the thing they need to be the bravest about as they start the senior year. Ethan writes that he wishes he was brave enough to share his feelings for Natalia. And Natalia declares in her letter that she wishes she was brave enough to tell Ethan, she doesn’t feel good enough for him. All I kept thinking was that, Ethan and Natalia are just so right for each and are simply meant to be together. Can Ethan and Natalia be together after all? Oh Young love is the sweetest thing! And oh how I remember the excitement of being young and in love. This is very much the ya fiction of must reads, that has turned every risk into a chance, and every kiss into a promise. I Wish You Would by Eva Des LAURIERS, is for fans of I Still Love You by Jenny Hann and All My Kisses for You by Monica Murphy. I do hope you all enjoy reading this new novel, as much I did. I’m now following Eva, the author of this summer romance, as I don’t want to miss out on Eva’s Des Lauriers next novel.

This was a great read...quick but very true to life.
I loved the characters in this book esp Ethan.
I would have loved a lil more insight on what his struggles were at home...same goes for Natalia.I feel like the author just grazed through those issues quickly where as these were things that shaped these two teenagers to be who they were...their fears and all.
Would have loved to hear more about that.
Nevertheless...this was totally worth my time.Perfecr for Taylor Swift fans!❤
