I saw the character art for this and instantly wanted to read it.
However, the pacing is a bit too slow for me. I made it almost 150 pages in and they were still tiptoeing around each other *yawn*

Not what I was expecting and I am so glad I gave this one a chance. I’m new to the world of a Daddy and his boy and I love how Scott wrote Paxton and Grizzly. Paxton is thee perfect Daddy literally a walking green flag and all he wanted was to make sure his beautiful boy Grizzly was safe, loved, and adored. The way Paxton paid attention to every little detail that was Grizzly was teuly heartfelt. The internal struggle that Grizzly wrestled with tugged on my heartstrings because he was amazing. As a big and a littlw he was just a wonderful person and I’m glad he realized with the love and support from his found family that he was perfect jist the way he was. The dynamic between these two was soft and so beautiful. I loved their loved.

July 3, 2026I don’t know what to say. I love a good D/b book and I was super excited with the trope here being the Daddy was younger and the boy was older and bigger. But unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me. I think it’s the fact of when the big words happen it doesn’t feel like they’ve been together long at least not on page and that’s disappointing onto the next maybe next time DNF 46%.

I’m so happy to be back in Bellport!
I really enjoyed this book! I loved how Paxton and Grizzly were able to have an immediate connection. These two truly had me grinning ear to ear.
I really liked the disability rep in this. There was enough talk about it and how Paxton and Grizzly could work on this together and get through it, but it wasn’t an overwhelming amount where it took over the whole story. I love how Paxton did everything for Grizzly on the DL at first so he didn’t feel like he was being a problem.
Of course I loved how other MCs from the other Bellport series were in there. I was so excited to see so many of my favorites characters in the book. I have loved all of the Bellport books and I cannot wait for more in this series!
The only things that I would say I have “complaints” on is I felt the relationship went fast and then in the middle it seemed to slow down. What I mean is that it started off fairly quickly and then it just leveled out. While I love a quick burn, I feel like many things were brushed over to then go full force again at the end. An example being the “I love you’s”. I knew they loved each other and that they were going to be together but I thought it went from “I can’t see myself without you” to “I love you” in texts. I also wished it talked about Paxton’s dad knowing more about Paxton’s lifestyle. It did say that he knew about it and everything but he seemed to just randomly know that Grizzly was Little. This was probably just a “me” issue.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book and would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you have already loved the previous Bellport books. I cannot wait for more in this series!

I absolutely loved the age gap and the size difference between Grizzly and Paxton. Having the younger, larger athlete take on the caring, protective role made their dynamic feel both tender and unique. What really stood out to me, though, was the way Paxton handled Grizzly's disability. He never treated it as something that defined him—he simply looked for ways to support him, and his quiet maturity made me love his character even more.
The story is filled with love, acceptance, and both biological and found family. Watching Grizzly finally find someone who truly saw him, accepted every part of him, and gave him the space to be himself was incredibly touching. I also loved seeing the Princess Club characters involved again—it was so much fun catching up with them, and they added even more warmth, humour, and that wonderful sense of community to the story.
Overall, this was a beautiful, comforting romance with wonderful characters and a heartfelt message about finding the people who choose and cherish you

I absolutely loved the dynamic between these two! Having Paxton be the younger, larger athlete taking on the nurturing, protective Daddy role while Grizzly got to be the older, smaller one who finally gets taken care of was so uniquely tender! Watching Grizzly finally find someone who truly sees him and gives him the space to just be soft was heartwarming. the way Paxton handled Grizzly’s disability was one of the absolute best parts of the book! He never treated it like a problem or made a big scene out of it, he just quietly stepped in, without needing acknowledgement, to support Grizzly, making sure he never felt like a burden. I was so completely invested in their soft, adorable dynamic.
At times, I found myself wishing for a few more expanded, on-page scenes so I could feel fully immersed in every single moment right alongside them. The initial spark between them moves so wonderfully fast, though it meant their transition into saying those big "I love you"s over text caught me slightly by surprise before the pacing settled into a lovely, steady rhythm. If you're looking for a low-angst, comforting romance about found family, disability acceptance, and finding the person who chooses and cherishes you unconditionally, this book was a total winner!

Cute slow burn
The Daddy/Boy relationship between Paxton and Grizzly was adorable to say the least. Grizzly letting him in slowly when he realized Paxton was a daddy was a nice pace for him. Paxton doing the little things to make Grizzly more comfortable before he told him his diagnosis is couple goals. Even though it was a slow burn, the timing of everything felt right for both of them. And let's not forget Pops and his understanding and acceptance of Grizzly. Pops saw that Grizzly made his son happy and that was that. I wish there was more spice but again everything was meant to be.

I love Grizzly and Paxton’s book. It’s full of all the things I wanted in this book: size difference, disability rep, DDLB, younger daddy/older boy, bio and found family, a visit from some friends, and all the sweet cuddly vibes. Ever since Grizzly showed his Little room to Monty I have been waiting for his story. Paxton is the perfect Daddy for Grizzly. He does his best to help Grizzly without ever making him feel like a burden, showing him the care every Little deserves. This is a wonderful addition to the Bellport world. You should definitely read it!

I want to take a road trip to Louisiana, because I KNOW Bellport is a real place, and these are real people, and I will find them. I have no words for how much I appreciate the world- and character- building of this series. Remarkable and incredible.

Bellport Just Got Even Better
I had zero expectations coming into Grizzly's book besides I knew I'd love it. I'm now on the other side of reading Grizzly and Paxton's story just absolutely adoring them. Such a sweet book with pals from XOXO coming to say hi. I love Bellport more with each book!

Seriously cute! 😽 I'm so glad I found this gem! A compelling and beautiful story of life and the choices we inevitably need to make for ourselves. The MC's are meticulously created and I couldn't help falling in love with them. I loved experiencing life through their eyes. It's a journey worth your time!😁 Highly recommended!😘

I was quite looking forward to Grizzly’s book but to be perfectly honest, it was so boring. It was a struggle to get through. It’s almost unbearably long - easily could’ve had 150 pages cut from it (particularly the beginning where absolutely nothing happens). I also think the baby voice thing was a bit much for me. A bit of a bummer because Scott usually provides fun little books.

Loved!
I absolutely loved Grizzly and Paxton! I love an older little, younger Daddy dynamic. They both have a huge found family and friends that constantly support them through their ups and downs. Paxton's Pops is fantastic. I'm happy to see he is getting his own story.

This book was absolutely adorable.

I enjoyed their connection, everyone needs a Paxton in their life. But it just went so slow in some parts I felt it dragged on. I’m so curious how Pops book will go!

This was cute but I felt a bit greedy reading this story. Everything was all wrapped up but I didn’t want it to end. The ending felt a bit abrupt and I wanted to read more about the MMCs relationship once Paxton officially started playing baseball. Also with Grizzly’s diagnosis, I would have liked to see more of what that looked like further down the road. Like, I wish we had gotten an epilogue around 5-10 years later.
I also wish there was more spice. If I remember correctly, there were only 2 actual spicy parts in the entire book. I’m not saying they had to bang it out every other chapter, but I would have liked more.
