The Pacifier #1

The Pacifier: Part I

Rate this book
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, roughly 800,000 children are reported missing each year in the United States -- that's roughly 2,000 per day.

“The children aren’t upstairs,” were the last words shared between John with his wife, Sophie, before their seemingly perfect life turned upside down. Following all leads, the Durham police detectives assigned to find little Charlie and Sally, and Gemma their babysitter, are doing their utmost to close the case before fear starts to ripple through the neighborhood. It is not easy to race against the clock in a quest to find the children when all the leads are taking them in different directions.

I really love this book. It is very short, but gets in a lot of information in a short amount of time. I was on the edge of my seat.

Essentially, parents leave to go to a work dinner and while they are gone, the kids and the baby sitter are all kidnapped. The cops come in and start to do their job. They find out who the kidnappers are. The babysitter, gets the upper hand over one of the kidnappers that was taking her to kill her. The kids left alone in the home, decide they are going to get out of the house on their own. The other kidnapper sees them and grabs the girl while the younger child, Charlie runs out the door.

The book ends with him running out the door. I can not wait for part 2 to find out where it goes from here. Good book and a great read!

The Pacifier is a very intriguing and thrilling story with a plot that has twists and turns that will keep you reading. The story is about two parents, Sophie and John, who coming home after a company affair discovered that their two children, Charlie and Sally are gone and nowhere to be found along with their babysitter, Gemma...

This is the moment when your will start the emotional and gut wrenching journey of finding the missing children, alongside Sophie and John. You will not get a break...there is never a dull moment on this journey and once you get started, you will not be able to stop or pause until your reach the end. This book is only Part 1 and the author leaves you off with a real cliffhanger...now I can't wait to read Part 2 and find out the outcome. I am glad I had the opportunity to read this book...I highly recommended it!!

a good story and well told, i just found that it was very short and now that i have read the second book although i enjoyed the story, i did not understand why it was in 2 parts, as each book only took just over an hour to read.

amateur writing...got this book for free on bookgorilla so thought of giving it a try - thankfully it was a short one and there's a part 2 which I will read only if it becomes available for free as it's not worth paying $2.99 otherwise..for 40 pages !

Very suspenseful story and I am going to read part two. Some minor editing errors but overall a thriller I truly enjoyed.
