MINE: A scorching-hot Irish Mafia Romance

Rate this book

I built my empire on blood, loyalty, and silence.

I have no weaknesses—until her.

Aoife O’Shea ran from one dangerous monster…

straight into the arms of another—me.

And now she owes me a debt written in blood.

She asked for one month to repay it. But from the moment she stepped into my world, I knew I’d never let her walk away.

She’s in my home.

In my bed.

Under my skin.

She thinks I rescued her.

The truth? I’m keeping her.

Because in my world, debts aren’t cleared.

They’re claimed.

And Aoife O’Shea just became mine.

A Perfect Start

Mine is the first book in L.A. Gallagher's new The Kincaid Syndicate series, a spin-off of her beloved The Beckett Brothers series. And if you haven't read The Beckett Brothers yet, stop what you're doing and go start it—it's that good!
Mine is a fantastic introduction to this new world. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Dom and Aoife. Out of all the bars she could have ran into, she definitely found the right one! Their connection was instant, engaging, and kept me invested from beginning to end.
L.A. Gallagher did an amazing job laying the groundwork for what promises to be an incredible series. I'm already eager to learn more about the men of the Kincaid family, and I'm secretly hoping Uncle Frankie gets a book of his own because I know that story would be amazing.
I also loved getting another glimpse into the fun and excitement of Club Reveal. It was a great way to connect this new series to the Becketts that readers already know and love.
Fans of L.A. Gallagher will absolutely enjoy this one. Mine is a strong start to The Kincaid Syndicate, and I can't wait to see where this series goes next!

A quick and easy read with a splash or two of spice. Enjoyed it but it didn't live up to the Beckett brothers who are still my favs and rated a few mentions throughout this book as Dom and Sean share the same kinky fuckery. Just didn't get the same level in this book.

More Mafia Men to Love

What a great start to the new series! We finally get to know all about Sean’s best friend from REVEAL - the dark and dangerous dominate, Dominic. The book immediately grabs your attention and gets you invested in the lives of the Syndicate.

Dominic Kincaid is the head of the Syndicate and Aoife comes barreling (literally) into his bar and into his life unexpectedly while running away from a doomed wedding day and life with Dom’s mortal enemy Rory Kavanagh. The only way Dom can get what he ultimately wants, which is to end Rory once and for all, is to marry Aoife himself and make Rory break the accord set between the two families years ago.

The storyline is great! There is an unknown history between Dom and his soon to be wife, drama within the syndicate, outside of the syndicate, with Aoife’s dad and a long history of crime. The book is also very spicy!!! But, it’s also super romantic and sweet and it’s not something you would expect from the big bad mafia boss which I think made the storyline even better. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Your typical mafia romance with but this one has a MMC with slutty little glasses 👀 and a filthy mouth. No notes. Will definitely be reading the next one about his brother who is in prison but hooking up with the lawyer representing him 😮‍💨

DNF @ 20%. I felt like the heroine was given no choice in marrying Dom and that he took advantage of her because of that. Also, I'm not into BDSM and the whole "yes, sir" kink so I'll pass on this book. I loved the two other books I read by this author though!

I thoroughly enjoyed LA Gallagher’s previous series The Beckett Brothers (Wreck Me, Redeem Me, Ruin Me, Reveal Me, Release Me, Reclaim Me) so I was thrilled to read Mine, the first book in her new Kincaid Syndicate series.
As with the Beckett Brothers series, Mine takes us to Dublin, but this time it goes a little bit deeper into the Irish Mafia world and brings us a grittier and sexier story. It’s definitely darker than the Beckett Brothers, but I’m generally not a fan of the darker side of romance and I was fine with this one. So those of you who like ‘em dark will like this one, and those of us who are not as comfortable in that space should be just fine.
Dominic Kincaide heads the Kincaide Syndicate of Ireland and they are essentially the Irish Mafia. He and his brothers (and other various family members) are not the good guys, but they’re also not the BAD, bad guys. And I personally love a main male character who thinks he’s an evil, vile person, not worthy of anyone’s love, who manages to find a main female character who just doesn’t see him as all bad. Even if she might want to.
Aoife is the daughter of a man who works for the most-definitely BAD guys, and we first meet her as she’s getting wedding for her forced marriage to the leader of these truly BAD, bad guys. Aoife is a sweet girl who loves her father, but she finally finds the courage to help herself since no one else is going to step up for her – so she pulls a runaway bride and runs blindly through the streets of Dublin. This is how she literally runs into Dom and how they decide to help each other by getting married rather than letting her jilted groom find her and make her pay for her disloyalty.
Yes, I felt like this book was a bit darker in nature than the Beckett Brothers books, but it worked for me. The sense of family in this book took me by surprise, in a most pleasant way, and that helped, in my estimation, redeem the Kincaide Syndicate and make them the safer choice. I mean, if I were in that situation, I’d choose them over the more bloodthirsty bunch whom Aoife was supposed to marry into.

I’ve been waiting for Dom since Reveal Me where I met him first time and was intrigued by him ☺️. Was nothing what I though will be but at the same time was perfect.

I loved seeing his soft and sweet side with a touch of darkness. This man knows from one look that she is his, that fate brought them together and even if their relationship is starting beneficial for both is impossible to remain only that, the chemistry and sexual tension is of the roof. And when he falls he falls hard.

Aoife our fmc wants out of this life, she wants to hate him for his part on loosing her brother, but she feels the pull to him, the tension and soon is impossible to resist. Falling for him is the only way.

We also meet his brothers and I’m so ready for all Kincaid’s to receive their story specially Ciaran 🤣 that man lives to piss Dom off when it comes to Aoife 🤣🤣🤣.

“‘You running into my bar was fate. I waited thirty-five years to find you. Now I have, I’m going to do everything in my power to keep you. I need you, sweetheart, properly. And I need to know you aren’t going to walk out that door in a year’s time. I need it like a fire needs oxygen.’”

“‘You and I are the real deal, sweetheart. I spent my life looking for you. I just didn’t know it until you tripped into my bar.’”

Outstanding

I just love LA Gallagher books, and I was so very excited to meet Dominic (been waiting what feels like forever). He did not disappoint. Sounds like a super sexy nerd with his glasses, with a huge attitude and a bigger heart.

Aoife, running into the bar straight into Dominic was brilliant. And the plan they put together was genius. I knew that she wouldn’t be able to resist him, I fear no sane female would!! Him taking her virginity was just a brilliant twist, and I love that he waited until the wedding night. Romantic Physco that he is.

Meeting the rest of the family was fabulous, and I already am counting down to Ciaran’s story. He sounds a cheeky chap. Aoife grew in confidence throughout this book, and the way she stood up for herself during Frankie’s visit was great.

The level of fifth in this book was incredible, I can honestly say it’s been a fabulous read. I did not see the twist coming at the end at all and it both surprised me, and shocked me.

All in all for me a great book, deserving of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I could not put it down. The only thing that got in my way was Life. Well
Done and thank you 🤩

Disappointed and disgusted

Spoilers in order to give an honest review.
This book started out great action that held my interest in the beginning. The story starts losing the realistic aspect when they go to the sex club It's not where you would take your virgin fiance. The MF was worried about being exposed on the beach and now she's going to lay naked on a table and spread her legs with a chrome bar in front of a bunch of men. Then MC lets them touch and suck her breasts while he gives her oral sex. There are women walking around naked other than stilettos and a collar is repugnant to me. That's not scorching hot to me that's just repulsive. I lost respect for both of the characters. I thought this was going to be a steamy Romance between the main characters. So unrealistic a virgin at an orgy. I quit reading after that and took a few Stars away. PS that's some of the worst cover art I've ever seen for a Mafia book.

I added this to my DNF pile at the end of Chapter 18. It's extremely boring and slow moving.

The MMC, Dominic Kincaid, and his brothers are intriguing. So is Uncle Frankie, and I have no doubt that the rest of this series will be good. It's the FMC I have the problem with.

Aoife is a waste of space. Apparently, she's got the best boobs on the planet and is a great cook. There's nothing else to her character thus far from what I've read. Let's not forget that she's a virgin in an arranged marriage because of course she is. LOL.

Really disappointed with this book - especially because the Beckett Brothers series was so good (and Sean Beckett and Dominic are friends).

Don't really recommend giving this a go, honestly.

Spicy and suspenseful

This is the first book in L.A. Gallagher’s new series. She’s been teasing it for months and I got it as soon as it was available. In typical fashion she draws you in from page one. If you didn’t read the free novella prequel, you’ll miss a little bit, but they do recall it throughout the book. Aoife escapes on her arranged wedding day and runs into a bar to hide. What she doesn’t expect is that it’s Dominic Kincaid’s bar. If the rumors are true she might be in danger. This roller coaster that Gallagher takes you on will put you through all the emotions. Spicier than her previous books, which are spicy! I’m already looking forward to book two.

Another delicious knockout from LA Gallagher. The little novella before this book is the perfect teaser to give Aiofe’s background. We see a little Dom in the Beckett Brother series and as he mentions, Dom & Sean are friends which plays into this with some Reveal action. Dom is the kind of “morally gray k!ll for love and family and protection of women” MMC we love to love. Aoife learns and grows what she wants for her life with the space Dominic provides her, even while flirting with her non stop. Who doesn’t love a “romantic psycho”? It ends with a HEA but also a solid lead into the next book with Ciaran that I am excited for.

A runaway bride, a marriage of convenience, and a possessive hero who takes “my wife” very seriously? I was hooked from page one.

Dominic and Aoife’s chemistry is electric, the emotional connection is beautifully done, and the protective, all-in devotion from Dominic had me swooning. Add in one bed, plenty of tension, blush-worthy steam, and no third-act breakup, and I couldn’t put it down.

A binge-worthy romance with a hero who loves hard and never lets go.

A dangerously groovy kind of love

What is it about syndicate/mafia men? Is it their ‘burn the world down’ kind of intense love? Their gentleness to only their women? That they only show weakness for her?

All of the above.

Dominic and Aoife have that kind of laser focused attraction that steals the air out the room and makes us lose our breath. Once they commit to each other, it becomes all or nothing. Fire. consuming. Love.

Yes.

A marriage of convenience with a possessive, secretly romantic hero. Yes please! I was sucked in from the very start. I loved the way Dominic fell hard and fast for Aoife. Their chemistry was off the charts hot, and you could feel the emotional connection between them. Add in a dash of darkness and danger, combined with Dominic’s all-in devotion and I never wanted to put this book down.

I liked that the MMC while this supposed psycho was so protective of the FMC and respected that she was innocent. The author presented earning consent through care and communication. While there was forced proximity the MMC held the balance of that with care and quiet consistent behavior. The intimacy of this couple leaps off the page.

Good, not great! Very likable characters! Dom was super hot! It felt like the characters were in lust instead of love, lol, but I’ll definitely continue the series and I’m sure they’ll grow on me. It’s probably my fault, bc I automatically compared the Kincaid men to my Beckett men, and honestly, there’s no comparison to them! Good start to the series, tho.

Dominic and Aoife
He’s head of the syndicate, irelands mafia, and she was sold to his rival to marry. She runs away straight into Doms pub.
They marry instead but by that time both have fallen hard.
Lots of spice and a great story with mentions of the Beckett brothers too.

Mafia and a runaway bride

This is from the new series by L A Gallagher and I love everything she writes. This book has you hooked from the very beginning. Runaway bride Aofie runs into Dominic’s bar who is Mafia and they both meet their match. Marriage of convenience and the banter and sexual tension was all there. Aofie is a no holds back chick and doesn’t take shit and Dom is a softie at heart only for her. This book has just the right amount of spice and suspense. And can we talk about Dom’s slutty glasses like what more can we want. I recommend this book and can’t wait to read the next one in this series.

I told you I don’t feel pain. Not physically anyway. But if you were to walk away from me, it would be agony
