Absolutely in love with Annalynn Nicole books. This book is no different.
They all have the same sorta dark theme to it. However, this one is a little bit darker giving the events Ellie & Riley went through. A rebellious twin and a perfect twin, get into a horrible situation. Fight to survive. What happens next, they have to deal with the trauma for years to come.
Will she be able to be loved by another again? Or are the chances of love a thing of the past?

The O’Sullivan mafia book dives this time into a world even darker than before, so this is definitely not something sensitive readers should pick up.
Ellie is the family’s wild child, and her twin Riley is her opposite. A devastating trauma shatters Ellie’s mind completely, and she ends up in a psychiatric hospital for treatment. Declan has loved Ellie for years, and as a skilled stalker he knows that Ellie’s wild behavior isn’t the whole truth.
The book deals with suicidality, mental breakdown, and healing from trauma. Alongside all of that runs unwavering, unconditional love. Declan is ready to protect Ellie at any cost, but Ellie also has to learn to stand on her own feet after the trauma.
As always with Annalynn, the themes are heavy, and she doesn’t spare the reader. Like I’ve said before: if you can handle pitch‑black mafia romance loaded with triggers, these books are worth exploring. I’ll now be waiting eagerly for Emilia and Matteo’s upcoming book.

Ellie is the daughter of Peter O’Sulivan, she is also a twin. Ellie is known as the rebellious twin compared to Riley. Ellie has a history of drinking, sneaking out, and partaking in drugs. One night Ellie sneaks out with one of her younger bodyguards for a more interesting party. Ellie didn't know that her twin sister was in the trunk of the car. Tanner the bodyguard saw an opportunity to sell not one of the O’Sullivan sisters, but both of them and took it. He was originally only taking Ellie. Ellie and Riley were sold to a gang leader- unspeakable things were done to both girls. Ellie is spared from death. Ellie is eventually taken to a mental health facility to get some much needed help. After she is released home she decides that she cannot stay at her parents house due to all the memories. Ellie is given a penthouse with a guard, the guard also happens to have a penthouse next door and has been obsessed with Ellie for years.
Declan has had his eye on Ellie for many years now, but has always kept his distance. With the recent events he sees his chance to watch her 24/7, and he sure does watch her. Declan becomes a masked man when he is around Ellie. Forged in Flames is another gripping read from Annalynn Nicole. If you enjoy dark romance with emotional depth, this book delivers a powerful story that keeps you invested from beginning to end.
The trauma Ellie and Riley endure is heartbreaking, and their journey is handled with plenty of emotion. Watching the aftermath of everything they experience and seeing the strength it takes to move forward made it easy to connect with the characters. The romance is a slow climb through pain, healing, and learning to trust again, which gave the story plenty of heart.
Even so, the emotional impact and suspense kept me turning the pages.

Did this book hit the dark dizzying heights that Annalynn is known for oh yes it did and she brings us a psychotic mmc that is a masked stalker and heavily obsessive over our FMC.
This book starts strong with high emotion and instant trauma that hits hard for Ellie our FMC and her family and for a girl already spiralling this is the last call and descends her into darkness.
Ellie is thrust into a psychiatric hospital to help her heal but there is only one man who can fully help her. The man that has loved her from afar but yet never to far away. Declan stays close and not ready to show his hand, shows her she isn’t alone and that she needs to be a good girl for him - the man in the mask.

Damn, Ellie goes through a lot in this one. She has had a lot of bad experiences in her life and we experience them with her. No spoilers, but this is a darker read and you should read the trigger warnings before entering this story. I could understand Ellie's guilt, fear, and pain. Then we get Declan entering the picture. I understood how he showed his love and his obsession for Ellie, but at times I was like chill dude, she needs a moment. But underneath everything you could feel his love and care for Ellie.

Will they get their happily ever after or will the demons that Ellie has not allow her?
This book will have you on a roller coaster with your emotions. You will cry, laugh and so much more. But it is truly such a great one. Absolutely loved this book along with all the ones in the series.

Oh what do I say?
Declan and Ellie's story is heartbreaking but it's a good one. Once again the characters have some huge hurdles that they have to get over but it just makes them stronger in the end. There are some fantastic, unhinged characters that you get to see and hear about. Nearly everyone we've met throughout all of the books are included which is always fun to see.
Will I read it again? Probably
Would I recommend it? Absolutely if deranged mafia is your sort of thing
Will I continue the series? Absolutely

I feel like I waited ages for this book and I was not disappointed. I love Ellie and I felt for her in so many ways. And Declan is exactly how I expected him to be seeing as who he works for. I am determine that there is certain criteria on how unhinged, psycho, OTT possessive you need to be in order to join either family.
Declan who exactly who Ellie needs in her life. The push and pull these two have is just mwah! I am definitly adding these two on my favorite couple lists.

Wow
This was a powerful and difficult book to read. Made me cry and get angry. But a psycho’s love helped heal the woman he has loved for a long time. Lots of triggers and hard scenes to get through but I did love this book.

Such an amazing book and series! Our FMC Ellie is the youngest daughter along side her twin Riley of the O'Sullivan children. When disaster strikes all Ellie wants is everything to end but her stalker the MMC Declan wont allow that to happen.
