If she’s going down, they’re all going down with her.

Lina’s past has finally caught up with her—but she isn’t the same girl from eight years ago. With Axel’s loyalty, Johnny’s intensity, Nik’s dangerous charm, and Sean’s quiet precision, she has an army at her back.

Their enemies will burn. And she’ll be the one holding the match.

Every step toward freedom demands blood.
Every kiss tastes like goodbye.
Trust is fragile, loyalty is dangerous, and love?
Love is the most reckless weapon of all.

She’s willing to risk her life to end it.
They’re willing to risk theirs to save her.
And between the heat, the blood, and the lies… not everyone will make it out alive.

About the author

K.L. Lindsey

6 books16 followers
K.L. Lindsey writes dark romance because it’s cheaper than therapy and way more fun. She has a soft spot for golden retriever men with sharp teeth, traumatized girls who burn the world down, and plot twists that hurt.

No one knows if she’s chaotic-neutral or just caffeine-dependent. Probably both.

When she’s not writing morally questionable characters doing morally questionable things, she’s rereading her favorite scenes and wondering if she should warn her readers… (She won’t.)

She lives in a house full of books and bad decisions with her husband, kids, and cats.

3.75 stars. I'm torn on this because the book was really good, but this should've been a duology instead of a trilogy. This is more of a bridge between 2 series than it is a conclusion.

This book picks up exactly where book 2 left off without any introduction, so it feels more like a new chapter instead of a new book. The main storyline mostly wraps up at 25%, with the exception of Walter's character. Generally, the other 75% of this book seems like a setup for a new bratva series or bed hopping for HEAs.

As with the other books, the action scenes are really intense, and I was on the edge of my seat, even though I knew what was going to happen. After the 25% mark, the action kept up, but it felt lower stakes because it wasn't about the FMC anymore. I really struggled with Rachel in this book. It was like a switch flipped, and suddenly, I was expected to like her, despite the fact that her behavior didn't really change.

Thank you to BookSirens and K.L. Lindsey for the free eARC.

This book had me in its grip from the first page. DAMNED isn’t just a story—it’s a descent, a reckoning, a slow unraveling of everything you think you know about morality, desire, and consequence. I didn’t just read it; I felt it in my chest.

There’s a raw, almost feverish energy to the writing that made me feel like I was teetering on the edge of something dangerous and beautiful. The atmosphere is thick with tension, and the characters—especially the central voice—are layered in ways that made me ache. I found myself rooting for someone I wasn’t sure I should trust, and that emotional conflict was deliciously uncomfortable.

What I appreciated most was how the book didn’t spoon-feed me answers. It asked me to sit with discomfort, to question my own instincts, and to consider the seductive pull of darkness. It’s not horror in the traditional sense—it’s psychological, spiritual, and deeply intimate.

I won’t spoil anything, but I will say this: if you’re drawn to stories that explore the shadow side of the soul with poetic intensity and emotional grit, DAMNED will speak to you. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it’s absolutely for those of us who crave depth, complexity, and a little bit of fire.

Forbidden. Messy. Addictive.

Forbidden. Messy. Addictive.
I found this trilogy by total accident because it said “step siblings trope”… and that was all I needed. 😅 Forbidden love? Sign me up.
Damned was everything I wanted in a finale. Lina’s journey was emotional, intense, and so worth it. Watching her fight for love and finally get everything she dreamed of (and more) made my heart so happy.
The tension? Chef’s kiss.
The angst? Perfect.
The payoff? Completely satisfying.
If forbidden love is your weakness like it is mine, you NEED this trilogy on your TBR.

Damned was a great ending to this dark and emotional trilogy. Lina finally takes control of her life, conquers her demons, and earns the happily ever after she deserves thank goodness.

Her men stand strong at her side, and show her just how far they’ll go to protect what’s theirs. Even though I was surprised when we got a few new character POVs, I didn’t mind it. However it did feel like Lina’s story ended once we were halfway through this book.

It did feel like there was an effort to bridge this series and where we go next with the focus on the new characters. I’m excited to see what happens next with this author. As usual check your TWs!

Super interesting and intriguing and suspenseful all in this short story. This one is the third in the trilogy and boy, was it worth the wait. There was so much action, angst and excitement in this one. All of the main characters and some of the secondary characters played major parts in this part of the story. The first book was single POV but books teo and three had multiple POVs and I loved that. This was a quick read and easy to follow. another one that was well written. This book has left me feeling happy. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I loved this trilogy and would definitely recommend it.

Lina (or Aro) has endured so much throughout this trilogy that I was desperately hoping she’d finally get her well-deserved happy ending. When we last saw her at the end of book two, things were anything but hopeful and this final installment throws us right back into the chaos as if not a second has passed. From the very first pages, we’re hit with the return of her deranged ex, Marcus, but as it turns out, he’s not the worst of her demons. Watching Lina come face-to-face with her stepfather, Joe, was gut-wrenching. All that hard-won strength seemed to drain away in an instant, leaving behind the terrified girl she once was. It’s a heartbreaking reminder of how deeply trauma can burrow into a person’s soul. But amid the darkness, there was a flicker of light and that light is Johnny. Locked in a cellar, there’s not much else to do but talk, and those quiet, desperate conversations rekindle something beautiful between them. Their bond, born in fear and survival, becomes one of the most touching parts of the book. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang, Nik, Axel, and Sean, are gearing up to get Lina and Johnny back. Wracked with guilt, they have to set aside their regrets and pull together for their rescue. Nik’s sacrifice brings in some much-needed reinforcements, led by his cousin Volk, whose presence I absolutely loved. My only real complaint was that this part of the story flew by far too quickly before the focus shifted toward taking down Walter. I enjoyed seeing more of Volk and the introduction of the two new “pups” (and no, not the furry kind!), as well as the return of familiar friends. But what I truly couldn’t get enough of was Lina and her men and the way they’ve grown together into such a strong, cohesive unit, both in and out of the bedroom. Johnny’s addition adds a new dynamic, though at times it felt like he was still learning how to fit within the group rather than fully being part of it. Johnny’s possessiveness provided a stark contrast to Sean’s quiet steadiness. Sean always seemed to know exactly when Lina needed grounding or comfort. While all of the men share her love selflessly (well, perhaps Johnny’s still working on that), Sean felt like her safe harbor. I adored that balance between fierce passion and emotional intimacy. The alternating POVs were a fantastic touch, allowing us to see the complexities of this unconventional relationship through every lens. Although Nik and Axel’s dynamic took more of a backseat here, both proved their devotion in unforgettable ways. Nik by sacrificing years of his life for Lina’s safety, and Axel being ready to burn the world down to bring her home. As always, K.L. Lindsey delivers nonstop tension, heart-pounding action, and a deeply satisfying payoff. The finale hit all the right emotional notes, wrapping up the trilogy with both closure and the tantalizing promise of more — especially that little tease of something brewing between Rachel and Volk (fingers crossed for that story!). But no matter where K.L. Lindsey takes us next, I’ll be following, ready for more love, danger, and devotion.

This was an amazing resolve to the damaged trilogy. I was definitely hooked on this book. I loved how Rachel and Jessie from the first book was re introduced into the plot. The ending surprised me. I liked the ending and how heartwarming it was, seeing Lina finally get her happy ending.

I loved that Rachel was reintroduced, but had matured. She changed for the better in this book and It was fresh, caring once again for a character. Also it was super cute when all of the main characters had dialogue in the one in the woods, it was so cool to hear what everyone wanted to say. Also Volk and Rachel's interactions were soooo interesting!!

Omg K.L. Lindsey, DON'T STOP WRITING!! You have introduced me to dark romance as a genre and your books made me love it!! This trilogy was fantastic, great for getting out of a reading slump.

Great series

From the beginning with Damaged, the middle with Dangerous and the ending with Damned shows how Lina suffers trauma and proves that you can survive and overcome the past and become a strong woman. Finding and following in love with four strong men. Men that have her back, fights for her, and proves that she is stronger than she knows and that the four of them would die for her. Help her fight through her past and become more than the trauma that she went through. I loved how K. L. grew her characters, how each one went through things themselves, them overcoming obstacles that made them all learn what strengths they had in their lives. I laughed, cried, was angry and emotional while reading this series. The writing makes you feel a part of the story, like your there too.

I’m on the fence with this one. I’ve loved the trilogy. Lina has done a lot of growing and finding herself in this last book. And the men as always are amazing. I loved that ash the guys were her ride or die. She needed them as much as they needed her. Like they were true family no matter what. And i loved that. But i feel like her story fell off a little bit coming closer to the end. But overall, I’ve loved every single book, the story itself, and the characters. K. L. Lindsey was an author for me and I fell in love with her writing. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

It's definitely the finale. I liked it overall, but it gets pretty messy. We get so many POVs going on in here, and it gets a little bit overboard at times. But everything about Lina and her specific story does eventually get wrapped up by the end of this book, and we get a solid HEA for her. I just think Book 1 is my favorite of the overall story. Plus, when it comes to other characters, things kind of have an open ending. I'm not sure if that was because they are going to get their own book or what. I just wanted a little bit more closure in the end.

An amazing ending to an awesome trilogy.

Lina's fight for survival is finally over and this time she's got her harem by her side. These men literally burn the world for her.

Book 3 was filled with drama, one thing after another. Definitely a lot going on with multiple POVs and their problems seemed to start and end fairly quickly but it wrapped up great in the end. Lina gets her justice and her men

Every character was memorable. Even the side characters play a heavy role in book 3. Volk and the pups were a fun suprise.

This series was great as a whole. Highly recommend

The last book in a series is a toss up. The author can rush the ending leaving the reader reeling because after reading several books they ended in less than 10 pages. They can drag it out and have nothing impactful happen and the reader feels like they just wasted their time on the entire series. Or the author, like this one, can end it perfectly with questions answered, a glimpse at where the characters end up and truly show an HEA. K.L. Lindsey did us one better and set us up for a spin off series. The ending was perfect, making the series that much more enjoyable.

This was a nice ending to the series and I enjoyed it, but it felt more like a bridge to the next series rather than a conclusion to this series. Regardless, thank you BookSirens for allowing me read this eARC and I look forward to seeing what K.L. Lindsey writes next.
