He was someone everybody knew. A good man, dedicated to his club and family. Until the war came. The Unwanted Bastards MC suffered the worst possible outcome, losing all but three men. Now the survivors live with self-blame, anguish and what-ifs. It’s those feelings that are killing him slowly. He doesn’t even recognise himself anymore, because guilt rides him hard, and the war changed him. PTSD? Nah, that doesn’t describe what he’s going through.
She had the world at her feet. A headlining act, money in the bank, her own business… and a brother that absolutely adored her. Until the war. That phone call from a cop she barely knew, telling her that her beloved brother had died, nearly destroyed her. She had no one now. But the ultimate professional she was, she continued putting on a happy face even when she wanted to curl up and scream.
An unwelcome visitor upends her world and sends her careening towards a man she once loved but now hates. Her entire life is uprooted as she heads back to the place she swore never to set foot in again - South Dakota. Nobody’s aware she’s coming, and everyone is unaware of the power she wields. He’s not ready for her whatsoever, nor what she plans or does.
The Unwanted Bastards MC needs a saviour, and she might just be it. She’s got the contacts and the determination to make the club whole again. His response is one of fury as she steps into matters she knows little about. She doesn’t care about his reaction as she’s not doing this for him, but for her brother. Two stubborn souls end up fighting each other, but that comes from a place of passion. Right?
She needs to let go of her anger and hate, and look forward. He needs to straighten up before he loses everything for good. And maybe, just maybe, they can save the MC between them. After all, nobody else wants them; that’s why they’re the Unwanted Bastards MC.

This was a tough one to read. The MC took some brutal hits in the last book of Rage, the war definitely took it's toll on them. With only 3 members left, everyone was wondering how they would go on. And things weren't pretty at the start. Inglorius and Chill were at the bottom of a bottle, Inglorius more so, Razor trying but he had his own issues to deal with. Then there were 4 prospects, 2 good, 2 not so much. The club as a whole was a hot mess! All the other clubs knew they were struggling, knew they needed help, but couldn't as they weren't a member. But Drake butted his big head in and did the only thing he knew he could to get them help. That help came in the form of Nanci, one of the dead brother's sister.

Nanci wanted no part of this, but the guilt she felt for not doing what she knew her brother would want her to do, made her cave. Her first glance at the clubhouse and everyone was stunning and not in a good way. Nanci had to go all ball buster, put her foot down and took charge. It wasn't easy, she fought the guys and herself all the way. The worst being Inglorious, once he was out of the bottom of the bottle. It didn't help the history that they had personally.

Despite it all, they managed to work together to rebuild, both the town, the businesses and the people. It was hard work and got ugly at times. Even as they succeeded, there seems to be someone who is determined to undermine them, which is driving them all nuts. Yet, there is hope too, the ones who are left see the good, remember what was and can see what can be, they just need a bit more time to get back to where they were and find a way to honor those that didn't make it that far.

awesome amazing brilliant

Wow Inglorious has been a character in a previous series that many of us have loved you know the kind I licked him first he’s mine so this has been a long anticipated book, and boy it did not disappoint. If you haven’t read Rage MC then I would highly recommend reading it before you start this series. As it picks up six months after the end of the war. Inglorious is not the fun loving character we’ve all come to know and love he is a broken man riddled with guilt after the loss of most of his brothers.Nanci is Psych baby sister and has known Inglourious since they were Kids She’s hurt and angry at the loss of her brother and blames Inglourious but puts that aside and give up her life in Vegas to save the Unwanted Bastards the MC her brother truly loved. she is strong, independent and kicks ass, I want to be her when I grow up. This book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions you’ll laugh you’ll cry you’ll laugh and then you’ll cry a whole lot more but I can guarantee you it’s one hell of a read. Well done Miss Elizabeth

This is Book 1 in the Unwanted Bastards MC. I would highly recommend you read the Rage MC books and the Hell Fire MC books first so that you will know everything about the War that has happened. All the clubs and club friends joined in this war but unfortunately, the Unwanted Bastards were hit the hardest out of everyone. We get to see how the members dealt with it in this book. You will cry, scream, laugh and love from the first page until the last page. As President of the Club, Inglorious feels like he should have done things differently. He lost all but himself and two other brothers during the war. His guilt is killing him until she comes along to kickstart his life and the Club. Nanci is a sister of one of the deceased Club members and she has come back to town. You won’t expect what happens, but I loved everything about this story once I got past the sorrow of losing all the brothers. I can’t say enough good things about this book and the next book is going to be good, but this will always be the best of the series.

Love, love, loved this book. One of my favourite characters ever, I absolutely loved Inglorious and Nanci’s story ❤️❤️❤️ they fit together so well. My heart broke for the battle Inglorious was fighting with himself as his number 1 enemy but Nanci soon put him in his place and handed out orders he had no choice but to follow, she is strong enough to love him and proves that in spades. Inglorious needed her push to get him on the road to redemption although after he took the first step he knew he had to fight to heal, to be the MC President that was feared and respected by his peers. As usual Elizabeth has written an unforgettable story, full of love, regret, healing and forgiveness. Danger and chaos linger around the edges promising us of more exciting novels to come in the world of Inglorious and his brothers with the UBMC. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤

Heartbreak & Healing

Beautiful. Broken. Believable. Inglorious and Nancy are devoted, honest to a fault, and stubborn, and the feelings they experience are genuine. While it is brutally honest in places, it offers an important message: recovery from addiction is attainable. It isn't saccharine sweet, doesn't hide the dark shadows, and won't pretend that everything is fine. This book is filled with anger, betrayal, mystery, intrigue, and heartbreaking emotion. Reading their story will send you on an emotional rollercoaster wondering if this is the end of The Unwanted Bastards or if they can rebuild with some surprise ex-members. This story is both heartbreaking and inspiring, conveying the crucial message that with strong, stubborn supporters, healing from addiction is possible. Their story's impact is increased by its accurate depiction of the healing process. Their story definitely has a positive and encouraging message. I can't wait for the next Brother's HEA.

My God, this book is amazing.
It’s after the war in Rapid City and only three club members are left. Inglorious, the club prez, has crawled into a bottle and Nanci, sister of the late VP, has used a loophole in the charter to assume the presidency until Inglorious can either prove himself sober and fit for office or a year has passed, at which time a new president will be voted in.
I had never read any of Harris’ books before but I am absolutely going to devour her backlist. I am assuming that the RC war happened during a previous series and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.
Whoever did the cover is top notch and that photo is totally going in my fantasy file. I try not to objectify, but who am I kidding, because damn…
I loved the characters. I loved their journey. The heat between Inglorious and Nanci is enough to melt steel. There’s angst, and redemption.
In all, a pretty perfect read, which is why it’s going in my all time favorites list AND my top twenty list.

The Unwanted Bastards MC series with a story steeped in grief, guilt, and resilience. Set in South Dakota, the novel follows the remnants of a motorcycle club devastated by war, where survivors struggle to rebuild both their community and their sense of identity.

At its core are two characters bound by loss and unresolved history: a man haunted by survivor’s guilt and a woman determined to honour her brother’s legacy by reviving the club. Their fiery clashes—rooted in anger, passion, and buried affection—drive the narrative, creating a tense but magnetic dynamic that keeps the reader engaged.

Harris blends gritty realism with emotional intensity, exploring themes of trauma, belonging, and second chances. Inglorious is more than a motorcycle club romance; it’s a powerful look at healing and redemption, showing how even the most broken can find strength to rebuild.

SO GOOD! Inglorious, Unwanted Bastards MC is the first book in the newest series continuing the Black Hills area MC saga by Harris. If you haven't read Rage MC, Rage Prospects, or Hellfire MC, go binge read those, although you can enjoy Inglorious without reading the other series first.

Inglorious was charming, flirty, and funny before the war. A year later, Inglorious drowns his grief in booze. In a surprising plot twist, Harris brings Nanci to Merrit, SD to pull the Unwanted Bastards from the brink. Nanci is determined to honor her brother and is a ball buster trying to save the club. Grab the tissues as Harris pulls you into her newest realm and a heartbreaking tale of grief, recovery, and moving forward from unimaginable tragedy.

We've been waiting for this one. We all love Inglorious, but as she always does Elizabeth made us love him even more.

If he's your first, go back and start from the beginning, there's a huge depth in all her books that tie together.

The book deals with alcoholism in a way that is matter of fact, and doesn't bog it down. Inglorious has a problem and he needs to fix it. Nanci is a strong woman, and she's not going to let anything stop her from doing what she KNOWS is right. However she is also strong enough to bend when it comes time.

The background of vandalism and who done it's leaves us with things to watch for as the Unwanted Bastards continue on.

10/10 will read again (Have read 4 times.)

Grief hits everyone differently

When Inglorious needed a kick to start reliving, Drake stepped up to the plate. Naci was running on shear determination and fury. The love she once felt, she tried so hard to bury. But the flames were never truly dampened.

As the Unwanted Bastards start to rebuild their town, some feel they need to pay for the deaths of... Who? Why?

We will find out those answers in the next book in this eagerly awaited series.

*Warning. Do not jump into the writings of Elizabeth N Harris on this book. You must start at the beginning and work your way up. Otherwise, you will be completely lost.

Beautiful story.

Along the way we read through the path of healing, as the Unwanted Bastards deal with the aftermath of RC’s war. Inglorious lost his way drowning in the guilt and sorrow from losing so many brothers. Nancy is the woman who pulls him out of his destructive path- not too gentle but its more than fine - and brings back our beloved president to the living world. Nice to see some characters passing through and Magic, what the heck was that?

Advice: keep a handkerchief nearby. You might need it.
If you’re not familiar with Rage & Hellfire MC’s, start at Rage’s first book: Rage of the Phoenix. You will not regret it.

Well, I was scared after the end of the war and Rage MC coming to an end, that it wouldn't be the same... So glad Elizabeth proved me wrong. I wasn't sure how the end of the war and the start of a new era would go but I am happy to report that Inglorious book went a long way to healing the emotional trauma the war caused. We see him hit rock bottom, someone else come in and take over, and get their love story in the process. And of course, there are new baddies to cause trouble! I'm really looking forward to seeing the MC develop and grow and the members getting their HEAs! Enjoy!

Inglorious by Elizabeth Harris

This is the start of a new series, Unwanted Bastards. This is about Inglorious whom blames himself for his club being destroyed by a bomb in the war with the Viscous Fangs. Nanci is Psycho’s sister and comes to take over the MC as Inglorious is to drunk to do it. She becomes president as the charter of the MC says she can. Much goes on with getting new members, controlling the members they have and getting Inglorious sober. Much happens and I can’t wait for the next in this series.

Tissues needed !

I cried buckets during this book.. Inglorious as we know, lost most of his MC in the War protecting Rapid City . Nancy is the sister of his best friend who died that day. She heads back to honour her brother and sort out the shambles the Unwanted Bastards had become. She, as we are used to from Eliabeth N Harris, is a strong fiesta woman who takes no prisoners. This is the start of the rebirth of the Club and it's going to be a great adventure. Looking forward to going along for the ride with them all. Another Best seller I'm sure.

Inglorious and Nanci, childhood friends, separated by different paths and brought back together after the war to bond over their shared grief.

This story is a tough one, so much pain and anger, especially in men who don’t handle feelings well. But I really appreciate how this author doesn’t shy away from the tough stuff, and doesn’t hide it on page. The information isn’t overly graphic but it’s there and necessary to the story.

I’m glad Nanci and Inglorious found their way back to each other.

I have love Inglorious since his first introduction. His story is based under devastating, heartbreaking circumstances from the war. I'm still reeling from what happened and all the losses. The Inglorious we know and love finally came back to us. Nanci - she's a tough, no nonsense ball buster. He needed tough love. There were times while reading that I told her to shut it. She needed to take a breath and not be so reactive. They are perfect for each other. The town they're setting up sounds really cool but there's trouble and can't wait to find out what the hell is going on.

Unwanted Bastards MC book 1 is Inglorious. What a freakin fantastic start to this new series! My heart ached for Inglorious. Survivors guilt is eating him up. Nanci came back at the perfect time! I love this character! She's strong and determined and absolutely takes nothing from no one. She's his match in every way. And he's hers after he quits wallowing and gets himself together. If the rest of this series follows suit with this one we're going to be in for quite a ride!

Good Read

This was an absolutely fantastic book, dealing with the aftermath of the Rage MC final book as well as ushering in a new era. Inglorious had been one of my favourite presidents in the Rage MC series and I was super excited for him to get his own story and this book didn’t disappoint. The story was an emotional one and I loved that it followed Inglorious’ redemption. I would highly recommend giving this book a read.

I’ve been impatiently waiting for Inglorious’s story — and as always, this author did not disappoint!

The book opens in the aftermath of war, where Inglorious is reeling from the devastating loss of his MC brothers. Known for his quick wit and sharp humor, it was heartbreaking to see him so broken and lost. Watching him struggle was raw and emotional.

Enter Nanci — Psych’s fiery baby sister — who shows up just in time to breathe life back into what’s left of the Unwanted Bastards. She’s a spitfire with no time for excuses, offering exactly the tough love Inglorious needs to start healing.

Their relationship unfolds with a perfect mix of grit, passion, and hope. It was incredibly satisfying to see Inglorious get the happy ending he truly deserved.

A powerful, emotional, and gripping start to this MC. Can’t wait for what’s next in the series!

wow what a book

once again Elizabeth made you feel every emotion going and still i couldn’t put it down. the start of a fantastic new series with the introduction of new and old characters that make us beg for more. Inglorious and Nanci are a match made in heaven with it looking light there maybe light at the end of the tunnel but once again their are people out there that want to ruin it. Hang on tight people i feel it maybe a bumpy ride.

Inglorious and Nancys story is steeps in high emotions loss, grief, devastation, survivors guilt and more. Starting again is never easy not with the past hanging over you, and one call changed a life filling it with grief, but a journey might bring them together or tear them apart. Well written engaging, emotions, desires and more a great start to the new series

What a read!

Inglorious was one side character that I wanted to know more about and this book did him justice. Even though I love when the allies come to help one another, I like how this gave us the story of how the Unwanted Bastards came to be. We also got a kick ass female lead in Nanci. **fingers crossed Chill is next**

Great follow-up series

Nice to follow-up on a ally who fought in the war against Fury. Nice to meet Nanci and watch her pull Inglorios back from the brink. I hope we will get further books on the Unwanted Bastards to see how they progress. The book makes you want to keep reading to the end.

Oh Inglorious...We've all been waiting for this one, and it was so worth the wait! We all saw the Unwanted Bastards break, and now we get to see them come back together and survive. We get a glimpse of some of our old favorites, but the focus here is definitely on Inglorious and Nanci and their fight to heal. Not only themselves, but each other. Have the kleenex handy, you're going to need it!

Book 1 of another new series and what a great start. Inglorious is deep in grief and blaming himself for what happened to the MC during the war with the Venomous Fangs. Nanci comes back, takes over and starts rebuilding the MC. Inglorious gets helps and he and Nanci find their way to each other. It was such an emotional story but was so satisfying to read

Decent

I don't know I guess I built this character up in my mind so much from the other books that his story was a little lackluster for me. It was a solid book but I think more respect should have been shown to the heroine and she should have stayed a part of the club by Phoenix in hellfire.

Anger, sadness and relief

This was a hard one to read with talk the emotions running through it. Inglorious has so Munich guilt built up that he can’t function anymore. In comes a strong but angry woman to set the MC straight. Can she do it ….no doubt but of course there is a threat looming. To be continued…l

If anyone has read the Rage or Hell Fire MC series, they have a glimpse of who Inglorious is. And, what a glorious man he is. His heart is huge and when he lost his men in the war and he closed himself off to the world. And, in comes the one person that can help him in more than one way. Or should I say they can help each other. Elizabeth you have started this series off with a bang.

Grab the tissues

Thank you, Elizabeth Harris for giving us the Unwanted Bastards . INGLORIOUS lost the most in the war with Fury and then lost himself.
The raw emotions from Nanci and others in this book were so emotional at times that I was bawling my eyes out. But there is always a happy ending and another danger.
