Elara Voss is used to setting things on fire sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. A fire-wielding culinary witch with a mouth as sharp as her knives, she’s determined to dominate the Arcane Chef Tournament, the most prestigious magical cooking competition in the kingdom. Winning means eternal culinary glory, a restaurant of her own, and proving once and for all that she’s more than just a too loud, scandal wrapped disaster from a prestigious magical family.
There’s just one problem.
Dain Everhart.
Her ex-lover turned bitterest rival, the brooding, ice & shadow magic wielding perfectionist who makes food so divine, even the gods weep. The man she once built a thriving restaurant with before one spectacularly bad breakup left their love life and career in ashes. And now? The Goddess of Chaos herself has ensured they’re stuck as cooking partners for the duration of the tournament.
The catch? It’s all televised. Across. The. Entire. Kingdom.
With millions watching their every move (and aggressively shipping them), Elara and Dain must survive a gauntlet of absurd challenges. Can they cook up a second chance at love, or will their unfinished business burn them both?
So I love the idea of a universe where magic and food are connected, cause it bridges the gap for my two favorite things my fantasy books and my love for cooking shows. It’s like if you took a Gordon Ramsay type show made it fantasy ,made a love interest from that show and gave them a happily ever after. That’s what this book is giving, and I love the experience of reading it. My favorite is the commentary that’s from a the audience the comments are funny and I laughed a lot. Now how that the main character’s hair changed with her emotion and how their emotions match their magic love that I just really love how well thought out it was and the writing was great. I loved everything about. I thought it was awesome.

A must read. Loved the book from the very first. Chapter to the last. I very much so appreciate the detail to all the cooking as a chef. I enjoyed reading this very much and would recommend to everyone.
