He was my brother’s best friend. And the first boy to break my heart. I’d fought like hell to erase that part of my past, but fate had other plans—a cruel twist dragging me back to Detroit. Right back to him. I was sure that after twelve years apart, the fire between us would be ash. But it was still burning—raw, relentless, and impossible to ignore.
Blue was no longer the boy who used to climb through my window. He was the Sergeant at Arms of The Exiled Eight MC in Detroit. He was stoic. He was guarded. And he was now the only thing standing between me and an ex-boyfriend with blood on his hands and a dangerous obsession. That obsession being me.
The clock was ticking. But I was done running. Because some second chances are worth fighting for—no matter the cost.
From USA Today Bestselling Author Addison Jane comes the third book in the Exiled Eight MC Detroit Chapter Series.
Addison Jane is a born and bred kiwi girl with a passion for romance and writing. When she gets the chance she enjoys the little things in life such as reading, dancing, music, and Facebook, but her world really revolves around the little girl who calls her Mum. It's an awkward balance between alpha males and Disney princesses but it works. Growing up on a small farm next to the beach will always make her a country girl at heart. But since moving away to a small town close to the city she's discovered a dangerous love for shopping. Writing stories has been something that’s come naturally since she was young, and with the massive support of her friends and family, she finally decided to step out of her comfort zone and share them with the world. She enjoys bringing her books to life with strong female leads, sexy passionate men and a rollercoaster of twists and turns that lead to the happily ever after that her readers desire.
Oh wow. This one is going to stay with me for a while. I loved it.
While I seriously loved this book and it’s really well written, there are so many things missing, and it was really annoying me. The main things that are missing are; How old are Nate and Darcey? Nate was the age as Darcey’s older brother and she was 16 so is he two years older? Where are Darcey’s parents? They’re not mentioned again after the beginning. Are they still alive? Does she ever see them?
Darcey and her family lived in the house next door to Nate and his parents. Nate is seriously abused by his father and often goes to stay with Darcey’s family. Darcey has had panic attacks all her life and Nate is the only one who can get her out of them. Darcey and Nate are in love but when something happens he leaves her and they don’t see each other for ten years, leaving her broken hearted.
Ten years later and Darcey is dating Nate’s Mc’s enemy the DA. How I’m not sure, as she lives in New York and he lives in her childhood town. Darcey soon realises that there’s something really wrong with her boyfriend and turns to Nate for help. They soon rekindle their romance and it’s so sweet. The danger ramps up and is really good, and I loved the mc and how they’re a family.
Yes there are things missing and I wish the stalker angle had been padded out a a bit but I still really enjoyed it, and found it really moving in places.
Addison Jane is back with Surrender, book three in the series Exiled Eight MC Detroit Chapter. This is a brothers best friend, second chance, MC romance. Although not required, I recommend starting at book one for maximum enjoyment.
Blue is protective, loyal, and broody. He's also very assertive, observant and knows how to read people. All qualities he must posses to fulfill his duties as Sargeant at arms for the club. When it came to Darcy he was selfless.
Darcy has been living a some what stagnant life. Going through the motions but not feeling much. Until she comes back to her home town and sees her brothers best friend again. Then it's like she comes back to life.
Their story was entertaining and the plot contained a mix of angst, suspense, action, drama, and a bit of spice. Their character growth shined through as well. Jane really plucks the heart strings in this one but rest assured she mends it back together. It's always a joy to be in a world she creates, and this book was no different. I look forward to reading what comes next.
This is book three in the series and I am reading and enjoying the characters. This book features the Sargent at Arms Blue (aka Nate). Long before Rook found Blue and showed him his value, Nate was raised in an abusive home. He took shelter at his best friend’s house (James the brother of Darcy). There was a beautiful girl Darcy who took care of Nate when he came to their home beaten up. As time passed, Nate and Darcy started liking each other. But Darcy was a dancer, his tiny dancer, and Nate wanted her to live out her dreams. This book is their journey. There is a villain who is not good, so mind your triggers. Most of his evil deeds are off page, mentioned as part of the story. There is a happy ending. Read on!
I really enjoy Addison Jane’s MC world, so of course I had to check out her latest release to get my fix, and I was not disappointed! The plot was strong and immediately hooked me. It kicks off with Darcy, her brother, and his best friend, and then one event sets off a chain reaction that changes everything.
I felt every bit of what Darcy went through, her emotions jumped right off the page. And Blue? He was such an intriguing character that I couldn’t stop wanting to know what caused their 10-year fallout. Darcy was sweet and relatable, but Blue and the unfolding story really stole the spotlight. Overall, a solid and engaging read!
I loved Nate and Darcy's story. Nate moved in next door that had a horrible home life. James and his sister Darcy became family to him. When tragedy sticks he makes a vow that affects their lives. When she comes back home they reconnect and the sparks are still there. Their journey to happily ever after is filled with action, steam, truths, love, loyalty, family and belonging. I can't wait to see more of them and what lies ahead for the members of The Exiled Eight MC.
I would recommend this book to all my fellow biker lovers! Addison Jane has once again knocked it out of the park! This story shows how bad ass bikers can be especially when it comes to who those bikers love! She shows the strong family ties bikers have and their own brand of justice! Addison Jane's books always leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart! Makes me want to find my own biker!
Book three in The Exiled Eight MC series. Blue was her brother’s best friend. When he dies, blue broke her heart so she leaves to college. With her ex going crazy she comes back home. Blue had to let her go the first time. Now he gets a second change and no way will he let her walk away from him a second time. The club and blue with protect her. He just has to show her what it is to be love by a member of the club. Ride or die to the end
An amazing addition to the series and a great read. I love how Addison writes bikers who are both tough and soft for their loved ones. The second chance romance was written well and had me feeling all the feels with Darcy. Blue and Darcy were great together, the chemistry was fantastic. I can’t wait to see what’s to come next!
Blue and Darcy have been very good friends since growing up and living next door. Darcy looses her brother and he is best friends with Blue. Blue gets into trouble and leaves Darcy behind. I highly recommend this.
Another incredible couple and story to add to this series. I loved the love that Blue and Darcy had from the very beginning. I loved the drama, action, and romance that filled this one. Blue was a fantastic hero!
Another good addition to this series of books. Good characters and storyline along with some great twists and turns plus some action and suspense. Keeps your attention. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
An amazing book by an amazing author that can use words to spin a story that feels like it is coming alive on the pages. The book has the perfect amount of love story, suspense, revenge and in the end, a happily ever after. Can’t wait for the next book
I loved these two! Darcy and Nate aka Blue were so good together. I love the way Addison gives us just enough drama to make me not be able to put my book down.
