CARA: When my boyfriend Rich takes me home to the Hamptons for the summer, I’m totally unprepared for the extravagance of his family estate. Luxury comes at the price of his mother—a villain straight out of a movie—and his step-brother who has sauntered into our relationship like the wrecking ball we never asked for.
I should hate Dane. He’s arrogant, insufferable, and has hurt Rich badly enough that they don’t speak. But the longer we’re forced to spend time together, the more I see the parts of himself he tries to hide.
I know this can’t happen, but I want him. I want them both. And now I’m starting to wonder… Dothey want each other, too?
Money can’t buy happiness, but we’re all going to find our pleasure, no matter the cost.
Are you a train? Because I’m looking to get railed.
Roses are red, violets are blue, if you were a train, I’d always ride you.
Yeah, that’s probably enough about trains for now…
This book? Fan-fucking-tastic. Are you looking for a quick, under 200 page, spicy little novella that’s *gasp! - actually well written? Well, let me introduce you to these rich, privileged, arrogant assholes - who also happen to be step-brothers (and yes, one of them has a super cool girlfriend who is also there).
Rich and Dane, these two pretentious fucks, have this whole pining and sexual chemistry thing down. Then add Cara to the mix? Excuse me while I go fan myself off…
All aboard! Excuse me, I seem to have gone off the rails…
Back to this review…
It’s possible you might need to take an icy shower (or if you’re a rich asshat like these brothers, jump off your yacht to cool down in the ocean). The spice was spicing hard - exactly what I’ve come to expect in a Violet Pearce novella!
Call in sick to work, crawl into bed with your favourite electronic toy and enjoy spending an hour or two with Dane, Rich and Cara - you can thank me for the recommendation later <3
Buckle up folks, this one is hot hot HOT 🥵😩🔥 I had the privilege (see what I did there?) of getting to read an early copy and when I tell you it’s good, it’s GOOD. The relationships between all of these MCs were *chef’s kiss*👩🏻🍳💋. The Vampire Diaries vibes with the brothers were top tier, and oh my WORD the spice… I… there aren’t accurate words. 🫠 Also I freaking adored the FMC - how she handles herself when surrounded by some of the upper class snobs was so refreshing.
Long story short, you don’t want to miss this one 😩🔥
Omg! Violet Pearce. The way you craft such different yet captivatingly sexy stories is incredible. Both of your books have officially landed in my top reads of the year. If you love taboo and skirting the line of forbidden, Violet Pearce needs to be on your radar.
This one was juicy, forbidden, and absolutely fabulous. You get a bit of slow-burn tension between the two stepbrothers, but there’s plenty of early smut with Rich and Cara to keep things heated. As the story progresses, the steam factor only ramps up with brotherly scenes and sizzling MMF moments. And yes—they’re step-brothers, no blood relation, but still deliciously forbidden.
The characters are beautifully layered. Our FMC is confident and intuitive without ever being “too much.” And the brothers? Big Salvatore vibes here. The supporting cast also felt fleshed out, adding extra depth.
The writing flows seamlessly between timelines and POVs. Not once did I feel lost or confused, which is no small feat when juggling more than two leads. Each character got their moment to shine.
Also—don’t be like me and almost skip the epilogue. I thought the book was done, almost closed it out, and then realized I missed a few extra pages. Let’s just say… there’s a spicy little train scene waiting for you.
>JUMPS OFF A YACHT TO COOL MYSELF DOWN IN THE WATER< Holy hell this is a hot one! Where are my Vampire Diaries lovers at? If you ever wished Stephan and Damon just went at Elena together, this is your book.
We have lifestyles of the rich & famous, evil parents, sexual tension for days and off the charts spice - ALL WITH STANDOUT WRITING. This is where I start humming "these are a few of my favorite things" :) The drama would have been amazing in any setting but the wealth of the Hamptons was so fun to read.
I adored the FMC Cara - she was confident and down to earth, the perfect counterbalance for Dane (walking orgasm) and Rich (All-American dreamboat with a past). When Dane starts to worm his way into her brain, she notices she's not the only one and its absolute perfection.
I was in the mood for some spicy/smutty MMF, and this one was recommended to me! I loved all the characters. The FMC was strong and down to earth. Rich was your typical boy next door (with money, though), and Daddy Dane was my favourite with the way he thought and said things.
The one-liners (Mario Kart and Austin Powers Femme bot tits) made this book for me. I snorted and giggled. The spice was hot.. but the plot was also good to read.. When the FMC went after the ex! Damn girl! Whoop Whoop!
Keep in mind that this is a novella! So don't expect large character developments, but even without that, I thought it was really good. Loved the writer's style.
VIOLET MY GODDDDD!!! This book had me in a choke hold just like Tenure. You know how to write a book that hooks you. Cara, I LOVED HER OH MY GOD, she is the sass queen and put people in their place and loved her so much!! Rich and Dane...those men, GOD DAM do you know how to write them. I loved Dane, he came into the story and dammmmm, I was so excited to see how their story would play out and it was done gracefully. I loved Rich, he was trying to please everyone, he really needed Cara and Dane to help him. I loved their story, I wish there was more, I loved them so much and I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us Violet, cause we need more. Give us all the taboo, and the spice and hot men!!
I've never actually written a review before but I just feel so compelled to because this book was a spiritual experience. I didn't love MMF books before, but after reading Tenure, I'll literally read anything that Violet Pearce puts out. And OMG am I a MMF girl now????? For Dane and Rich, I am. This was so good. SO GOOD. I've never wanted to be a FMC so bad. And the ending line had me in tears, I'll be thinking of it until I start my second read through tomorrow. Violet, you are so good.
Also, I read Tenure three more times whilst waiting for this to be released. READ IT.
I really enjoy Violet Pearce writing. The short, smutfilled novellas are just right for me.
I loved tenure and looked so much forward to this book and boy did it not disappoint. I LOVED Cara, Dane and Rich. Together they were just an explosion. Not gonna lie, was kinda scared because Cara and Rich was already in a relationship, but it was more about Rich and Dane anyway. I loved seeing them accept each other and their situation. And as usual the spice was hot AF.
These three...oh my goodness I absolutely loved them and devoured this book. I loved the chemistry between each of the characters, loved the flow of the story, and all of the inner dialogue. The spice was spicy and the whole thing had me begging for more of them. I wasn't ready for the book to end.
I rarely rate novellas higher than a 3, but I really enjoyed this. I absolutely ADORED Cara. She was cool, calm, and collected ANNND The way she put Jamie in her place made me giggle. At first, I wasn't a big fan of Rich, I thought he was going to just be a drunk, rich, fratboy type, but for a short story, he had depth. Dane was ok.
There was the term "bare-seal" in this book....I laughed so hard it hurt! Love a good spicy af, Taboo novella and Violet Pearce is fantastic at writing them. MFM romance...yes please.
Short, sweet and HOT. Two step brothers, one of their girlfriends and a summer in the Hamptons. The opulent, spoiled rich kid vibes in this book are immaculate.
Absolutely obsessed with Violet’s work! Excellent writing style. This book was a hot, quick read! 10/10 would recommend! Cara is the perfect fit to bring these two step brothers together! 🔥
Pure pleasure. Strong characters with zero hangups and emotional turmoil. just goes straight smutty in the best way. quick. fun read that is such a turn on! MFM
Tropes: Novella / MMF / sexual exploration / bi- awakening/ step brothers / college
Violet Pearce does it again! Another novella that’s so spicy it had me blushing!
In this one Dane and Rich are thrown together over summer break when they come back home to their billionaire family Hamptons mansion. Rich brings Cara home, his spit-fire, confident and spicy girlfriend. He didn’t imagine his step brother would instantly fawn over her and place himself in the middle of the two of them (literally!). After years of tension the step brothers finally snap and explore their sexual dynamic with the help of Cara. The love that develops between the three of them obliterates the boundaries of social constructs and could not be any more perfect.
Fun fact: The entire first half I was picturing Dane as Ryan Philipe in Cruel Intentions… and then Violet compared their relationship to that movie and that solidified my fan girl status for Violet!
Violet has done it again- Privilege delivers on the tropes promised. A perfect blend of Salvatore brother banter and filthy rich combined. The scenes in their story built the story in a cinematic sequence that supported the imagery from cover to cover. The characters brought their own signature tone and personalities. Privilege will heat your feelings up as the story unfolds. A book trophy I am proud to have in my collection as I await updates for her next release.
I received a copy of this book from Violet Pearce. I have chosen to leave a review. All opinions are my own.
