What a fun, fun book!

A curvy female Fox shifter who is a reporter goes on a cruise looking for a big story on an attempted assassination. A hunky male bear shifter who is a private investigator also goes on the cruise to protect the potential targets for assassination. They have met before and are attracted to one another but she does not like him as she thinks he looks down on her because of her weight. But the cruise is for over indulgent rich people who get access to paid companions. And the reporter has been set up without her knowledge to be a paid companion. Sex is everywhere, and the kinkier the better. This is a wildly entertaining who done it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

The Bear who loved me was an incredibly enjoyable shifter book. In some places it did move a little fast, and perhaps some bits could have been fleshed out a little more (especially when they both just accept that they are fated mates, that was a ridiculously easy conversation), however it was easy to read, and a great book to read on a quiet afternoon. It was quick, very angst free and enjoyable. If you like Georgette’s other works then this one is a must.

Not one of this authors best.
Tonya is a gullible idiot and her constant harping about being fat was annoying. Cannot say I warmed to her at all.
If Heath had not saved her she would have been used by Tom the douche.
Heath acts more brawn than brain in his own story and I didn’t understand the quick turnaround in his thinking about fated mates.
Overall, even with the rather different baddie actions, I don’t remember reading this before, which explains why I have to reread it to repost my missing review.
In chapter 8. Very annoyed to read about Levi, another operative, having sex with numerous other women. The fact Levi has met his fated mated and is able to have sex with other women only by visualising her, turned my stomach.
I see they have not had their story written yet, maybe it won’t be as the author is off in a different direction.

Fated to meet again and again

Heath is a bear shifting security guard with insecurities about his background. Tonya is a fox shifting report who doesn’t realize her own worth. Following a lead, they both end up on a pleasure cruise and the sparks really start to fly. Will they find the bad guy in time, will they find their way to each other and a HEA? Who Done It

Loved the mystery, action, and integer. Bear who losing his control, on his emotions and denies he has a mate. A fox who is sweet, kind while awake turns into super ninja in her sleep. Must watch and guess who is in charge of who, and who but the wambie to the bears mate.

Good day everyone! (ノ￣ー￣)ノ

I haven't read the first few books of this series (yet) so bear with me (bear~ heh). It was amazingly a stand alone so I have enjoyed reading it without any confusion from my part because of this.

So again, this "might" contain a few spoilers and it usually does so don't ignore this.



SYNOPSIS
Heath, a bear shifter and member of a security agency, Shifters Inc. Tonya, a fox shifter, and a reporter. This two show that they don't like each other but deep down, they desire one another. Heath's adopted sister thinks they are fated mates. When Tonya showed up as a companion on the cruise ship where an assassination would take place and location of his current job, Heath was convinced about it since fated mates, upon seeing each other, would be thrown by fate again and again until they accepted it. Now Heath just need to get Tonya alone, to love and protect against herself and the danger of an assassin while doing his job.



THE COVER
Well, I'm stumped. He has a great bod, I admit, but he also looked mean. Haha And I don't think that Heath (that's supposed to be him isn't it?) would be comfortable being shown topless for all and sundry. I just wish that there's a different cover because the book is great and does not need a blatant showing of a muscled body. Just saying. It's okay though. Yep.



THE CHARACTERS
Heath was adorable. I know, I know... he's also manly and sexy, but I think I would associate him with adorableness because of the way he acts around Tonya. I so love him. He might be sometimes (or most of the time) blinded by a jealousy and would act like a jerk around Tonya, but it is few and he's not afraid to grovel before the woman she loves. I think that takes great courage (for a man) and I admired him for that.

Tonya was also a package of adorableness and fragility that one can't help but love her. She's surprisingly principled and would follow up on things that she thinks is against what she believed in. I admired her for that, especially when the situation seems too hard for her to handle. She was also generous to a fault and love her friends (point in fact, the money she gave to Bridgit). I therefore conclude that I love her character too.

The other characters, I also like enough, especially Bridgit and I can't wait to read the book she's in. The friendship she had with Tonya was a great to read about.

The villain, meh, not so much. Her exposure and arrest was so abrupt, that I feel like it's an afterthought or rushed to end the story. I didn't expect her though, or because the exposure is minimal so she was negligible.



THE WRITING, THE PLOT, THE WHOLE SHEBANG
The plot was amazing. The cruise ship was a perfect setting for Heath and Tonya to get "acquainted" and admit their feelings for each other. The added suspense is also a bonus and kept me on my toes all the way. It was refreshing, in the sense that humans and shifters knew about each other and no blatant hostility between them are seen.

The writing was light, unlike any other shifters with blood, suffering and darkness all around. The characters are adorable and I find myself smiling a few times while reading. There's graphic sex (of course) but it was not the focal point of the book, I assure you. It was well written and also the action and suspense balanced it out so its okay.

The downside I think is the abrupt ending, of the story and the mysteries. After it was revealed how the chameleon killed her victims and the coup planned by Reshef, they suddenly got off the ship. There was a "Huh?" moment for me there. The way the chameleon was caught was also fast. I mean, I didn't even know that they have found her. Well, I think there's a clue at the beginning, but I didn't pay her any attention at all and the thing about the magic involved was so ordinary that there's no way I could remember it.
May I also point out that the way the chameleon killed her targets is a surprise, yes, but I wish there's something more dramatic on the way that it was revealed.

Who the target of the assassin is was a disappointment for me. I was expecting an unexpected one (not on the three suspects) but it didn't happen. The Reshef and Benedetta issue may seem to clutter the story for me. It was cool, yes, but unnecessary. Also, what about Duncan R.? No assassin for him? No plot?

Also, what happened to Heath and Tonya? Did they end up living together? Got married? Had kids? It was implied but I want to know for sure. And did I napped at the part where Tonya said "I love you" to Heath? I seem to didn't saw it. Also, did she affirmed their Fated Mates status? Didn't think so. In that case, Heath, I salute you. You're one unusual hero. You denied but got over it. Salute!




OVERALL:
The Bear Who Loved Me was a good read and I would totally recommend it. It was light, sometimes funny, adorable and sweet. I so love Heath and Tonya, and I hope I could share the love. The ending was abrupt though (seems kinda rushed), but it started great and the abrupt ending couldn't take that away from me.

OMG, Where do I began? SO just Bear with me while I get this out.
This is a Freaking awesome book!!! You have to read this book.
This book is the 4th in Shifters INC. series. And this is a very compelling, interesting, and one hot as hell Romance.
Georgette is a Phenomenal writer, I love paranormal romance, but this is by far the hottest one yet.
Most writers think the only shifters are wolves, and very few think to use other animals. Georgette brings a fresh look to this.
This book is just one good example Heath is a Bear, and not just any bear but a big grizzly,
and Tonya is a fox not in the hot girl kind of way but a fox shifter. Oh and id I mention she si one sexy, curvy BBW kind of girl.
I love that about Georgette, big girls need love too. And almost all of her heroines are like me,
A big, beautiful Woman and prod to be curvy.
I hope you Enjoy this book as much as I did.

I'm a big fan of Georgette St. Clair, but unfortunately this book just doesn't do her writing justice. Although it sounds childish, this book was stupid. And Heath? He went from a hunky to a whiner is just a few short pages.
I'll keep reading Ms. St. Clair's books, but I just can't recommend this one.




SPOILER ALERT...



There is a scene where Heath handcuffs Tonya to the bed during sex. Then later in the sex seen the handcuffs simply disappear. She starts doing things to Heath that she could not have done while handcuffed. I read it a couple of times to see if I was missing something, but I sure didn't read about the handcuffs being taken off.
I know this is trivial but still it is annoying.

What a hunk of a bear

Heath and Tonya's story was amazing. They had chemistry from the beginning and both tried to deny it. Let's face it when it is fate and they are your fated mate no one nor any circumstances could keep you apart. On the curse Heath realized that Tonya was his Fox and only his. He hated seeing other men ogling her and it almost cost him to break cover. He still had a job to do but nobody said you could have a little fun.

Awesome,fast pace book. I cannot wait for another shifter's Inc book to come out. Georgetown St. Clair is Ana awesome writer. She keeps you intrigued and wanting more.

i should've stopped with my one good run (book 2, after the disaster that was book 1). the 'pleasure cruise' was not a good idea. the H and h are good so far (Ch9, midway through) but Levi, i'm afraid is cheating on his fated mate. the author does know why ppl read the fated mate stuff right? so that this 'confusion' and emotional angst of H boning the OW and not the h isn't there. granted Levi isn't H of this one, but this totally killed it for me.

Her sense of humor, love, shifters & sex! How could you want more from a story? :-)

There was a few errors that can be expected & one that was confusing. She had handcuffs on but could reach around & grab his dick? Hmmmm. Problem is I attempt to visualize the scene & go back & forth trying to see if things changed.

Otherwise I love the guys from Shifters, Inc. I wonder will there be more? What about more from the Blue Moon Shifters & Timber Valley Pack?? I'm on the newsletter list so I'll find out.

Theses shifters inc novels are excellent,
In this one we meet Heath a hot alpha bear shifter and Tonya a strong willed sassy fox shifter who seem determined to hate each other until they are thrown together on a job and have to face the realisation that they are mates.
Throw in an assassination attempt and a spell caster and you have an interesting storyline as well as steamy sex scenes.
A great mix and always a good read.

This book (and series) has such great potential, but I have a hard time actually sinking into the characters. Everyone is good looking and perfect and the problems they have just seem to be shallow issues. There's a depth to the writing that is just missing the mark for me.

The continuity issues also drive me nuts. At one point someone's handcuffed to the bed, and next, they're getting handsy with their partner.

Heath, a big sexy bear shifter has his hands full with his job as an investigator. He's convinced that Fated Mates aren't real and his current obsession with Tonya ( Fox shifter) is just a passing annoyance. When the job takes him on a cruise ship and Tonya happens to be there- the romance , suspense and action never end.

Love the Shifters, Inc. World

I love this world and can't get enough of its stories. This one didn't disappoint me either. I admit I didn't figure it out until the end this time. I'm glad Ms. St. Clair is writing more of these.

As always Heath and Tonya are fated mates fighting the inevitable.

Sometimes Heath could be a real dumbass (okay most of the time) but when he realizes it then he tries to fix it, okay well saying "If I didn't care, why would I get so upset about you and Reshef?" didn't fix anything I think it pissed her off a little more...
