The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter: Classic Original 1902 Story, Authentic Full-Page Watercolor Paintings, Enhanced with Glossary of ... this Classic Tale, Large-Format, Large-Print
This has become an absolute treasure in our household! The large format is perfect – you can really appreciate every detail of those gorgeous watercolor illustrations. My six-year-old loves the large print, making it easy for her to follow along without getting frustrated.
The glossary at the back is such a thoughtful addition! Instead of constantly pausing to explain unfamiliar terms, we just flip to the back. It's a great learning opportunity.
My three-year-old is completely obsessed with the little rabbit's adventures. She literally sleeps with this book under her pillow every night! The mischievous escapades are the perfect mix of exciting and gentle for bedtime. The bonus printable posters are a sweet touch. This edition has brought so much joy to our family. Watching my children fall in love with it is incredibly special. Highly recommend!
This book has been created with such warmth and care that it instantly feels like a family treasure.
The larger print makes it easy for young readers, and every page reflects a genuine love for classic storytelling. You can tell the publishers truly believe in the importance of sharing stories that bring people together.
It also includes a link to a YouTube version where the story is read aloud as the pages turn, which adds a lovely interactive element. Families can enjoy it together at home or let children experience the magic of the story being told in a gentle, familiar voice.
This edition is more than a children’s book. It’s a keepsake that celebrates the bond between generations and reminds us how meaningful it is to slow down, read together, and build those lasting memories of warmth and love.
I picked up this edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit for my kids, and it really is a beautiful presentation of Beatrix Potter’s classic story. The large-format pages and enlarged print make it easy for young readers to follow along, and the full-page watercolor illustrations look great in this version.
The added glossary is a nice touch and helped my younger ones understand some of the older vocabulary. The short biography of Beatrix Potter is also a fun bonus.
The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that a few spots feel slightly stretched out with the added material—but the core story and the artwork are as charming as ever. Still a great pick for bedtime reading or introducing kids to classic literature.
It is a short read with two lines per page and about ten pages long. He loves the sneezing part lol and now fake sneezes all the time. The ending is odd and abrupt but it doesnt bother my son at all. The pictures are cute also and slightly odd. It is about Peter Rabbits shenanigans while Mrs Rabbit is out for the day. One page doesnt even have Peter Rabbit in the picture when you think it should/would. But it doesnt take away from the story just a few quirks of the book. My son enjoys it and thats all that matters. We purchased the board book and its a nice size, sturdy pages and the text is a medium font and easy to read.

We saw the Peter Rabbit movie, so I thought this would be a related story since the movie was based on this book, but I actually found a pretty good and completely different story! This book features beautiful old-fashioned watercolor drawings and big-sized letters for little ones to read by themselves. I also found it perfect for bedtime, to share reading time, and teach them to read, since the pictures make them eager to know what comes next.
There is also a YouTube channel by the same author where kids can find the book read in video form, so they can follow along while reading and learn pronunciation. A great acquisition for the little ones in the family.
Reading this story again as an adult felt just as magical as my own childhood memories. The adventures of the mischievous little rabbit are charming, and the illustrations are simply breathtaking each watercolor scene brings the story to life in a way that keeps young readers completely captivated. My niece and I spent hours poring over every detail, giggling at Peter’s antics, and discussing the meanings of some of the unfamiliar words in the glossary.
I loved the added backstory about the author—it gave a personal touch that made the tale even more special.
This edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit is just lovely. The large print and full-page watercolor illustrations make it perfect for little ones to enjoy—especially at bedtime. I also appreciated the glossary and the short backstory about Beatrix Potter, which added a charming layer of context. A sweet, well-crafted keepsake for children and adults alike.
This edition of Peter Rabbit is delightful and beautifully presented. The original story and artwork by Beatrix Potter look bright and engaging and the extra pages about her life make the book feel even more special. I liked that the layout is clear and easy for children to follow and the added videobook feature is a fun surprise. A lovely choice for reading together or for a small gift.
The producers of this edition really went all out to make the best version of this classic tale. The illustrations all look like they are in mint condition. The extras that are included at the end of the book are really classy. I will get a copy for all of my grandchildren.
Timeless! Peter Rabbit remains as charming as ever in this beautifully presented large-format edition. The story, illustrations, and gentle rhythm make it perfect for bedtime or early reading. With bonus posters and glossary. Love it!
It’s the classic tale of Peter Rabbit who disobeys his mother and in doing so finds himself being chased by farmer McGregor. He does eventually find his way home. The author made a video book of the story as well and there’s an automated voice in English and Spanish reading the book.
Really enjoyed the large print format for my kids as well as the images and illustrations. I enjoyed this story growing up and appreciated being able to share it with my children. It really is a wonderful story by Beatrix Potter.
