Phantom’s more than a little rough around the edges, but his daughters keep him humble and on his toes. When his ex-wife ditches the girls and skips out on the bill, Phantom’s called in to set things right. The last thing he expects to find at the hair salon is a woman who makes his heart skip a beat. She’s beautiful and more than anything, she’s kind and treats his girls better than his ex-wife ever has in their short lives.
Poppy’s a single mother, juggling a business with little time for herself. After the death of her husband, she’s left to pick up the pieces and keep their lives running smoothly. She’s almost worn out when a handsome biker, flashing a killer smile and rippling muscles, does everything he can to sweep her off her feet.
And the sexy motorcycle man doesn’t like taking no for an answer, leaving Poppy’s head spinning and her heart beating a little stronger than it ever has before.
Phantom’s Healing is the story of two broken souls who find love and redemption in each other’s arms along with a happily ever after.

OMG, I absolutely loved Phantom and Poppy’s story🙌
Poppy is a single mom, running a business to keep on top of bills and proving for her young son, Jax. When an incident at work involving two young girls, ends with her meeting their gorgeous single father, Phantom…well it’s safe to say things will be changing for them both😉
I myself come from a mixed family and it’s so nice to see this in a book when families come together and merge together seamlessly - as though they’ve been together forever❤️🩹 I loved Phantom’s girls especially Daisy as she was such a character, she had me chuckling throughout and oh I can’t forget Poppy’s sister Clara…another great secondary character. I’m so excited to see where this series goes but I’m fully engaged and onboard and can’t wait for the next one😍
I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❣️
I loved the parts of Phantom we got to know in the previous book and I’m so happy his book was next in the series. “Phantom’s Healing” is a steamy, heartfelt and action packed single parent MC romance that I couldn’t stop listening to once I started.
Phantom is the president of the MC and a single Dad to two daughters and he thought him and their mother had a good working co-parenting relationship. But when he gets a panic call from one of his daughters, his eyes are opened on how bad things have gotten. And when he goes to save them, he meets Poppy. A single mom and the salon owner where their mother told them to run out on the bill. And from the moment they lay eyes on each other, there is a connection neither was expecting.
Poppy and Phantom’s story was unputdownable for me and I loved their story so much. Poppy is a hard working single Mom to her son ever since her husband passed away. Her salon was very successful but she had been running herself ragged. It had been her and her son for so long, finding a significant other was the last thing on her mind. Phantom has a dark past but he loves his daughters with his whole heart. He is definitely rough around the edges but he has a kind heart for his daughters and then Poppy from the moment he sees her. I loved the instant attraction they had when they first met. Phantom made sure to include his kids and her son when he was wanting to date Poppy. He knew it would be all or nothing with them all involved. I loved how protective he became over them when her house was ransacked and would do anything to protect them. Poppy guarded her heart for a little bit but once she gave into him, the steamy scenes were delightfully dirty. These two were amazing together and the ending was so perfect for them.
Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais narrated as Poppy and Phantom and they did an amazing job bringing this story to life. Samantha’s narration was genuine, sweet and vulnerable Poppy alive perfectly. Connor brought the growly and protective Phantom alive and I loved listening to him as Phantom.
Phantom's Healing brings readers back to the Hurricane Heat MC series, this time focusing on the President of the MC, Phantom. Who is struggling to walk the fine line between being the President of an MC that bends the rules and being a father to two teenage girls. Who has been living with his ex-wife.
However, it's a situation full of hurt and sadness. So when Phantom receives a desperate phone call from his daughters asking him to come and rescue them, he doesn't hesitate to drop everything, including the vital club business he was involved in.
But his daughters are in trouble, and rescuing them puts him face-to-face with salon owner and single mum Poppy. Who cares for his girls rather than calling the police, and Phantom is extremely grateful and notably struck by Poppy's beauty.
But why would a gorgeous, classy business owner want anything to do with a biker, and an ex-con who sees himself as nothing more than a loser?
Yet, Poppy has also been through a tough time, losing her husband and father in quick succession and fighting for everything she has.
Which In fact, makes these two a perfect match.
Only Phantom's ex-wife and Poppy's past stand in the way.
But Phantom is a determined man with a big heart, and he and his girls are ready to make Poppy and Jax part of the family — and so is the rest of the MC, who will do anything to protect them and their President.
And with a delightful slow burn romance, spice, and a touch of danger, this was a swoon-worthy and at times emotionally charged read for me. That I would happily recommend to all.
My thanks to Chelle Bliss for my copy of Phantom's Healing. All thoughts expressed are my own. 😊
Phantom's Healing is Book 2 in Chelle Bliss's Hurricane Heat Series.
I am a huge fan of Chelle Bliss. Every time I think she can't blow my mind away she proves me wrong. Phantom's Healing brought happy tears to my eyes and all kinds of emotions flowing through me.
Poppy and Phantom have brought new beginnings romance higher on my favorites list. Poppy is a strong independent single mother and when she meets Phantom she was blown away. What could have been a horrible first meeting. Poppy was kind in a situation that most small business owners wouldn't have been. When Phantom comes into her salon to get his daughters who were stranded by their Mother he was the epitome of kind, caring Girl Dad. When he noticed Poppy heat consumed him instantly. There was an immediate attraction, he made good on the bill that his Ex tried to get out of paying and Poppy took notice with how comforting he was with his daughters which made a huge impact on her.
Phantom & Poppys relationship escalates in an almost instafamily situation when while at a Thank you dinner with each other and their children her house was broken into and trashed. Which sends Phantom into a n extreme Alpha Protective mode. While her and her son Jax stay with Phantom and his daughters their feelings grow undeniably and their attraction can't be ignored. With all the obstacles in their way, the dangers lurking in the background their feelings for each other Blum quickly. The fear and emotions run rampant and finding the love both of them gave been shying away from come crashing into them fast. Chelle Bliss gives us tremendous emotions throughout this story and to make it even better the Narrators Samantha Brentmoor & Connor Crais bring Poppy and Phantom to life. You can feel their emotions pour through their performances which made this amazing story even more fantastic.
Holy Hotness!!! Phantom wiggled his way into my heart. I am not letting go. He is a total bad boy with a soft side I just want to squeeze. He is the ultimate single dad. When his daughters needed help he dropped everything to be by their sides. Swoon.... Chelle Bliss had created the most amazing hot dad. Who knew Phantom, the president of Hurricane Heat, could be so lovable, so huggable, totally drool worthy.
He meets Poppy when he goes to rescue his girls. Their mom had put them in an unthinkable situation that left them helpless and embarrassed. She allowed their dad to ride in like a white knight on a motorcycle. I don't quite know how it happened. I don't think Poppy knows how it happened. They are all planning on a family dinner. The family dinner includes her totally cool ten year old son.
Phantom's Healing becomes a beautiful slow burn romance. Stereotypes are blown out the window. Phantom is the man. Phantom is a amazing protector. His actions, the way he takes care of everyone had me melting. I wanted them to find all the love, to feel all the love. I wanted and got all the feels.
Witnessing Poppy come out of her shell made my day, my week. Her life has been challenging, exhausting. Her allowing Phantom to hold her up had to have been difficult making the slow burn romance even more fantastic. No matter what was dished out, they pick themselves up moving toward a happily ever after that will remain in my heart.
Would have given it a 5⭐️ but the instant love is hard for me to believe. The rest of the story was brilliant and so well written! I loved all the characters! So excited to see the next biker book!!
It was cute. But the pacing was crazy it felt way toooo fast. And for it being a mafia style book it felt lackluster in the mafia bit. It just felt to rushed one second he meets her the next second she trusts him enough to move her and her kid to move in with them? The heck.

On Chelle, what another addictive read! Phantom and Poppy are perfection! The sizzling chemistry, the growly man and the sunshine woman along with their three children made this read beautiful. Throw in some tension, motorbikes and new beginnings and it was a joy to read!
This was such a fast paced, unputdownable read with a touch of insta-love, found family, and quite a bit of danger.
Phantom was so freaking amazing. He was such a good dad and I loved the way he would do absolutely anything for his girls. He goes from taking care of his brothers in the MC he's the president of, to rescuing Poppy and her son from danger. Poppy was so strong. She was independent, smart, and an amazing mom. I love how their kids all got along and we got to know each of their personalities.
I loved this book so much! The writing was compelling and the characters were so loveable. I mean, who doesn't love a big tough biker who is only soft for his family? There was the perfect amount of healing, heart, and heat.
One single mom meets the biker single dad of two girls who are left high and dry by their mother. When Poppy expects to be left without a payment, she is pleasantly surprised by how good a dad he is and how sweet he can be.
When trouble comes to her door, Phantom comes to her rescue.
What starts out as a generous favor turns into something incredible.
The connection of these two as well as the children is beautiful and warm. Even with a threat looming they manage to form a bond that is wonderful.
If you know what’s good, you have to read this amazing story. It had my attention from the very first pages. Poppy and Phantom are just so meant to be, and the bond between the kids—and everything he does to keep everyone safe—is sweeter than you’d expect from a badass biker and club leader.
Phantoms Healing is book 2 in the Hurricane Heat MC series and features club president Phantom as he deals with problems from his past while finding his future.
Phantom got his high school girlfriend pregnant at age 17. After getting married, the proceeded to have two beautiful daughters. But when he went to prison when the girls were very little, he and Shayla divorced. He wanted a better life for her and the girls.
Poppy married young and had a son. When her son was two, her husband was killed. She has been a single mother for eight years. She is a hair stylist and owns her own shop. She has worked hard to raise her son and run her business with almost no time off.
Phantom and Poppy do not meet for the first time under the best of circumstances. Sadly, his ex-wife, Shayla, ditches her daughters at Poppy's hair salon without paying the bill. Since they have no money to pay for the services they have received and their mom has ditched them, they ask Poppy if they can use her cell phone.
Phantom is at a job with his crew when his phone starts buzzing. And continues to buzz. He finally looks at it and is not familiar with the phone number, but answers it since the caller seems intent on reaching him. When he finds out it is his daughters, he is now worried and hightails it off the job to go find out what is going on.
And the battles have just begun.
Things happen with the kids. Things happen with Shayla. Things happen with Poppy. Things happen at the club. Things happening everywhere.
But when there is a threat to Poppy and her son, it is Phantom who steps in and provides protection.
But when the threat extends to the club, the powers that be must get to the bottom of the matter.
This was definitely an interesting story. Poppy and Phantom are a good combination together. And all of the kids seem to all get along together. It is like they were meant to be a family. Even though Phantom believes his life is not fit to raise children in.
When Phantom meets Poppy's mother, he knows he needs to come clean with her. But how does he explain how he knows her and she knows him? The truth shall set you free is how he proceeds. She is shocked to hear this story, as was I. But it is a very moving story. And a reminder of how life can be gone in an instant.
I must admit, I did not like feeling like the author left me hanging at the end of this book. I need to know what happened to Dylan. I am hopeful that the next book will further his story. I need some closure with him.
I need to understand more about Savage and what his story is. I feel like I am missing something, but can't put my finger on it.
I absolutely adore listening to Samantha Brentmoor. She has been one of my top 2 female narrators for years and I always look forward to listening to one of her books. And this is no exception. I have been listening to more of Connor Crais this year and am finding I really enjoy his voice. He has a gruffness that goes really well for this story.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 Stars I loved this book. Truly. Phantom and Poppy were everything I wanted them to be—soft, intense, messy, and real. This story completely pulled me in from the start and never really let go. 🖤 Synopsis Poppy is a single mom, doing her best to raise her son and keep her hair salon running. Phantom is a single dad with two daughters and a complicated past. Their worlds collide because of his ex-wife’s mistake—when she dumps the girls at Poppy’s salon without paying . Phantom steps in to fix the mess, and from the moment he meets Poppy, the attraction is instant and undeniable. What starts as tension quickly turns into something deeper, even though both of them are carrying heavy emotional baggage. Between broken marriages, grief, kids, and complicated feelings, they find something real in each other when they least expect it. 💭 Thoughts & Feelings First of all, the chemistry was insane. The tension between Phantom and Poppy was there constantly—they wanted each other so badly, and it showed. Their getting together felt earned and incredibly sweet, not rushed or forced. Now, realistically? Poppy going to a man’s house that she just met was a little dumb if you think too hard about it 😅 BUT honestly… I didn’t care. The pull between them was so strong that it made sense in the moment, and that’s what matters in romance. Phantom felt incredibly real to me. He acted like an actual grown man—straightforward, honest, and unapologetic about what he wanted. Him literally asking Poppy if she wanted to fuck instead of playing games? Refreshing. Of course she did. We all knew it. What really got me emotionally was how Phantom treated Jax, Poppy’s son. Him stepping into that role so naturally, with so much care, melted my heart. And Poppy moving forward from her grief, allowing herself to love again after losing her husband, was beautifully done. The ending was emotional in the best way. Phantom getting a tattoo, calling Poppy his old lady—yeah, that did things to my heart. 🖤 😬 About the Ex Shayla (the ex-wife) was… a lot. I almost felt a tiny bit bad for her at the end, but honestly? With all the chaos and damage she caused, she didn’t deserve the grace Phantom gave her. He respected her because she was the mother of his kids—and that says everything about him, not her. 🔥 Tropes ▶ Single Mom ▶ Single Dad ▶ Biker Romance ▶ Divorce ▶ Tattoos ▶ Rough Sex ▶ Crazy Ex-Wife ▶ Found Family 🖤 Final Thoughts This was a short but satisfying read. Emotional, sexy, and surprisingly tender. Phantom and Poppy deserved each other, and watching them build something real—for themselves and their kids—was incredibly rewarding. I’m genuinely excited for the next book and can’t wait to see where this series goes next. Highly enjoyable, heartfelt, and definitely worth the read
While Phantom's Healing can be read as a stand alone novel, it is the second book of Chelle Bliss' Hurricane Heat series. Phantom was briefly mentioned and introduced in the first book of the series, Shadow's Protection, as the President of The Hurricane Heat MC. Although his role was small, it made me excited to learn more about him. As soon as I was able to read this book, I could not put it down!
At the start of the book, we meet Poppy, a single widowed Mom of a tween son, Jax, who owns her own hair salon. She meets the 3 ladies in Phantom's life. Except one is missing. Now, he may give off rough and tough biker vibes, but above all else, Phantom is a loving girl dad, and would do anything for his 2 teen daughters, Holly and Daisy.
Unfortunately, they're pretty much neglected by their mother, Shayla, Phantom's ex-wife. She leaves them in a jam that only Daddy can rescue them from. Not the best Mom to say the least. Yet, our alpha-hero comes to aide his daughters as soon as he gets their call, and upon his arrival, his girls run and embrace their Dad immediately. You can see they have a strong bond, which I adored!
Then Poppy and Phantom meet. They seem to have an instant bond of their own, or what I'd call lust at first sight. Two people who may be seemingly opposite but in fact are kind of perfect for each other. Nevertheless, with their individual pasts, I was absolutely rooting for Phantom and Poppy's romance, as you would be too!
Regardless of any obstacles that may stand in their way, Phantom and Poppy maintain a united front. Even their kids hit it off well. There were sweet moments, funny moments and a couple of scenes that made my jaw drop. Overall, I loved this book! Despite everything they've went through, I feel they absolutely deserve a second chance at having a HEA!
Look forward to the following tropes:

This is book 2 in the Hurricane Heat MC Series. I am a person who loves series and reading in order. *gasp* you really do not need to read book 1 to read this book.
Single mom + single dad = YES!
Poppy is a hairstylist who co-owns a salon with her sister. Life keeps throwing curveballs her way, and becoming a single mom was never part of her plan after losing her husband. Phantom, the president of the MC, lives for his club and his girls. As his daughters grew older, he realized they needed him present—not behind bars. Even if he wasn’t always present when they were young, he’s a devoted father who’ll do anything for them.
On a chaotic day at work when everything goes wrong, Poppy ends up with two girls left behind by their mother trying to ditch a bill. Phantom gets a panicked call from his daughters and drops everything to get to them. From the moment Phantom and Poppy meet, their connection is instant and it scares Poppy way more than it scares Phantom (which we love).
Seeing his ex-wife spiral down a dangerous path, he is more than determined to get custody of his girls. That means going back to the salon to see Poppy again. To thank her for how he treated his girls, he wants to take her out on a just, but not just any date, a family date. The dinner could not have gone any better: there was chemistry/lust between them and their kids all got along. But something has to go wrong, right? HEHE Poppy's house was broken into and he insists that Poppy and her son stay with him until they can find out who it was.
This is slow burn done right with two single parents. The attraction is there from the get go and all feelings are accounted for from everyone. The connection between father/daughters and mother/son are very well written by Chelle. Trying to blend two families quickly but also taking account for feelings, was done right in this book.
The little spice there was in this book, was well worth it.
𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐦'𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 is the second book in the Hurricane Heat MC series by Chelle Bliss, featuring a must-read grumpy/sunshine, single parent romance for Phantom and Poppy that brings all the heat and heart with a side of suspense! I adored Phantom in all his strong, alpha biker swagger, and yet he was the ultimate girl dad who loved his teen girls more than anything, and his protective nature was awe-inspiring. I was a bit surprised by the instant connection and spark that he had with Poppy, but it seemed to work in this case, and I loved the way he accepted her and her son! Gah!😍 Talk about sweet! His girls were fabulous with Jax, too. Poppy had grit, strength, and so much grace, as she navigated life as a working single mom. She definitely didn’t have Phantom and his girls on her bingo card, but they each needed the other! They all just fit like they were always meant to be! When potential danger arose, the Hurricane Heat MC family came together to protect those that their President claimed. Both these characters have been through pain, loss, and/or drama, and they deserve the healing that true love and found family can bring! I loved the twists of the suspense, the passionate romance, the sweet family moments, the dynamic of the brotherhood, on the ongoing exciting promise of this series full of amazing characters!
The audio was narrated by Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor at such a peak performance, that it could be called a master class! They nailed the emotions, the banter, and the spicy chemistry with such ease! It always impresses me when narrators can manage multiple child characters among several adults as well, especially when there’s suspense involved with some high emotion, high intensity situations! These two, though, could perfect anything, I swear! So fantastic!
Thank you to Chelle Bliss for tor this ARC/ALC. My opinions are my own and are freely expressed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶.5 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
There is nothing I love more than a growly biker having his feet knocked out from under him by a sweet woman. That's exactly what happens in Chelle Bliss's PHANTOM'S HEALING, Hurricane Heat #2.
Poppy and Phantom are both single parents who have busy lives. Poppy is a salon owner and mum to Jax, Phantom is the President of an MC whose two daughters, Holly and Daisy, are suddenly in his care. After an incident occurs at Poppy's salon Phantom becomes smitten with Poppy and she's equally attracted to him. In appreciation of her help with his daughters Phantom offers to take Poppy and her son out for dinner. The night finishes in a way neither expected, another incident resulting in Phantom's protective side coming to the forefront. The chemistry between the two sizzles, but I loved that Phantom gave Poppy the time and space she needed to process her feelings.
Phantom and Poppy's story is about family, healing, understanding, and acceptance. It is one of learning to let go of the past and embrace the present and the future. I loved that Phantom brought out a side of Poppy that she had long forgotten, she may be sweet but she was also feisty and passionate. While Phantom's life is often complicated by club issues, he is still able to show Poppy that he is trustworthy, reliable, and a man sho knows how to love deeply. I enjoyed the relationships that developed between the three children, it was as if they were always meant to be together.
Interwoven amongst the romance is plenty of drama, mystery, and suspense. Phantom's ex-wife and a not so loyal prospect cause plenty of problems for the new couple, but both are dealt with accordingly, his ex-wife's situation is handled with compassion I wouldn't have given her. Once again Chelle has delivered a fantastic story, one I easily devoured. I can't wait for more of this series.
Phantom's Healing is Chelle Bliss at her very best. This latest in her newest MC series had me consumed with Poppy and Phantom right from the start. We dive headfirst into this wonderful, unexpected romance between the sweet and selfless widow and the gruff club president. Both have their hands full as Poppy is a single mother who also runs a successful hair salon and Phantom has to manage an out-of-control ex-wife while keeping his sensitive teenage daughters in check and his club afloat. Each with so much on their respective plates, but after a run-in at Poppy's salon, let's just say that Phantom was going to be frequenting her place of work and certainly not for a haircut!
I loved how Phantom was so very patient with Poppy and allowed her to set the pace of their attraction. With the afore-mentioned ex-wife of his and a less-than-reliable prospect to handle, Phantom and Poppy's worlds intersect in a crazy way, and yet it gives him the chance to prove to her that he is dependable and trustworthy. Not to mention he'd do anything to protect those closest to him and that now included Poppy and her son Jax.
Once Poppy gives the go-ahead, the passion is there for the taking. I loved that she finally opened herself up to Phantom, both physically and emotionally. She's been alone for so long and despite having a fab sister (who should definitely get her own book someday) and a son who is her world, this woman needed a man who could take charge and bring her out of her dusty shell.
These two are a force together and despite all the mayhem that ensues because of Phantom's life being beyond complicated, I know he and Poppy are the real deal. They are each other's forever and it was a true pleasure getting to watch them find it.
Poppy owns her own hair salon studio. She knows she has to work hard and stay open longer hours and more weekends to actually earn any money but she's willing to put in the work and the time. Her sister also works for her. Her husband passed away about 8 years ago. She has been single ever since, not wanting to put her heart out there.
Phantom has 2 daughters, Holly and Daisy, their mom - Shayla and Phantom haven't been together in awhile but it seems that he is also fixing her messes. His daughters call one day in a panic needing his help. Phantom drops everything he is doing to go help the girls. When he arrives at the hair salon with his daughters inside, he isn't sure what to think. The girls tell him their mom - his ex-wife Shayla left them! She skipped out on the bill and wanted them to do the same. The girls knew that was wrong and stayed and called their dad. Phantom didn't know what to think. But after seeing Poppy and how kind she was to the girls he is glad they called him.
Phantom goes to Poppy to get some help in the courts, if she could write a letter stating how Shayla walked out on the bill and left the girls. As a thank you he asks her and her son to dinner, a family 'date'. After that first date together they want to be near each other. What was going to be a loss of about $800 if those girls walked out like their mom did Poppy isn't sure what she would have done if Phantom didn't come along.
Will Poppy be able to get over her passed heart ache and loss and be able to open up to Phantom? Will Phantom be able to trust Poppy with his daughters and his heart?
I did receive a free ARC Book copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
🖤MC president / single dad MMC ❤️🔥single mom FMC (35)
MMC - Phantom voiced by Connor Crais FMC - Poppy voiced by Samantha Brentmoor
🌹 ALC REVIEW: 🌹
Poppy is a single mom who owns a hair salon, and Phantom is a single dad, president of his MC. Phantom falls first and pretty hard after meeting the FMC. Poppy is a widow of eight years, a single mom to her 10 year old son. She’s also very guarded. She’s been through the wringer since losing her husband. Phantom is the president of an MC and has a terrible baby mama who causes drama. The first meeting where we were introduced to her in the salon was god awful. I can’t believe she did that shit. The way she tried using those girls, holy F! In the past, he's spent a lot of time in prison so he’s trying to do right by his kids. He files for full custody because the girl's mom is bat 🦇 shit crazy. Love how they both healed and blended their families together. Jax, Daisy and Holly were amazing kids. They all got along perfectly. I only wish the story was a little longer. It wasn’t really that spicy — wish there was more.. I understand a slow burn but this wasn’t even a 1 🌶️… I wish there was more on the motorcycle club aspect. The back story was more about his shitty ex…
I’m obsessed with Connor! He was truly PERFECT for Phantom! The way he brought Phantom to life and showed emotions was amazing! 😍I absolutely love whenever he narrates a book! Samantha was great for Poppy.

This was not what I was expecting in the single dad read and I am not disappointed.
Phantom is the president of the Hurricane Heat motorcycle club and he is working hard to get custody of his two daughters. He gets an urgent call from one of his daughters when they are left at a beauty salon by their mother who was trying to run out on paying the bill for their services. What he didn't expect was to be drawn to the stylist/owner of the salon.
Poppy is a single mother who was widowed by her husband when her son was small. She owns her salon and when she meets Phantom she is having one heck of a bad day. She later agrees to assist him with his quest to get custody of his daughters as well as go on a family dinner date with him. What she did not expect was to return from the date to find her house has been broken into and vandalized. She agrees to stay with Phantom in his spare bedroom with her son and starts to fall for the former felon biker while he works to find who has broken into her house.
This is a slow burn romance read that I enjoyed from the start. I did not expect Poppy to be a widower and it was a nice change from the jilted ex type romance read. I also thought that the side of Phantom that was show was a vastly different side of him from the first book of the series. I also liked how Phantom admits to his past mistakes and owns up to them and was honest with Poppy about his past.
Overall, this dual POV read is a well written book that I enjoyed from start to finish and I look forward to seeing what is in store for this series next.
Phantom's Healing is book two in Chelle's Hurricane Heat MC series. It can be read as a standalone, but I always love reading a series in order just to establish all backstories. I read this story and also listened to the audiobook. The narrators do an amazing job at bringing this story to life!
Phantom is the president of the MC and definitely a little rough around the edges, but when it comes to his daughters, Holly and Daisy, he's a teddy bear. He definitely proved it over and over again throughout the story and I loved that about him. Poppy is a salon owner and single mother to her son, Jax. These two meet in the most unfortunate of ways, but there's instant attraction between them. Chelle Bliss does an amazing job at blending these two families as seamlessly as possible. Even though there's instant attraction between Phantom and Poppy, it was more of a slow burn as the two navigate uncharted waters (and feelings) for the first time since both were married previously.
I loved this story so much. It's full of family (blood and found), laughter, action, and healing. Healing not just for the adults in this story, but also for the kids. Chelle does an amazing job handling the delicate situation with the girls' mother. I loved how she just wasn't cast aside, even though she completely deserved it and more, and how supportive Poppy is with the situation. Overall, it's just a great story and I can't wait for more from this series!
Phantom’s Healing felt like slipping into a story that already understood what I wanted. I love a good single-parent romance, and this one gives us two parents who’ve been through it and are still doing their best for their kids. Phantom is a little rough around the edges, but the way he shows up for his daughters is what makes him easy to root for. And Poppy is such a relatable heroine. She’s run ragged, overwhelmed, and still trying to hold everything together after losing her husband. I liked her immediately.
Their first meeting at the salon could have gone very differently, but it ends up being the moment that kicks everything in motion. From there, their lives start weaving together in ways that feel both messy and natural. Phantom’s protectiveness and Poppy’s slow, careful opening up were my favorite parts. Watching their kids settle into each other’s spaces added an extra layer of warmth to the story.
The audio really brings this book to life. Connor Crais gives Phantom a mix of grit and softness that fits him perfectly, and Samantha Brentmoor makes Poppy feel grounded and real. Their performances make the emotional moments hit even harder and the intimate ones even sweeter.
Phantom’s Healing is a heartfelt, quieter kind of MC romance that focuses more on connection than chaos. I enjoyed it from start to finish and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next in this series.
Phantom's Healing was so awesome! I loved this book from the very start!
Poppy is a single mother who is raising her son Jax and also runs her own salon business. She has an issue with two young girls who came into the salon and due to the girls' honesty, Poppy ends up meeting their father, Phantom, when he comes to help them.
Phantom is the president of the MC and also works to be the best father he can be to his two teenaged girls. The delicate balance between his job and the example he wants to set for his daughters is always a challenge, but one that is worth it to him.
To repay Poppy for what she did for his girls, Phantom wants to treat her to dinner. She isn't looking for anything romantic regardless of how good looking she finds the biker, but she agrees to dinner. It turns out to be a family dinner with the two girls and Jax in tow. As Poppy and Phantom spend more time together, it becomes obvious that while it might seem they have little in common, they really are perfect for one another for many reasons. The question becomes can they overcome issues with Phantom's ex-wife and Poppy's past?
I loved both Poppy and Phantom and also how the kids and the members of the MC played into the story. The members of the MC were there to help in multiple ways, which was wonderful to witness. I would highly recommend this book and I look forward to what's next in the series!
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
This is the second book in the Hurricane Heat MC series and holy cow is it a great book. Chelle Bliss is one of my favorite writers and it shows in this amazing book why. This is a slow burn, swoon worthy, emotionally charged he falls first and hard read. Phantom is the President of the MC. He is on a tightrope trying to keep things straight with the MC and trying to take care of his girls. He receives a phone call from the girls and instantly goes to rescue them because he will always put them first. This meeting puts him face to face with salon owner Poppy. A single mom of an amazing kid Jax who is dealing with a lot of loss. Neither one of them want to put their hearts on the line but fate has something completely swoon worthy in store for them. Things escalate when they do out on a family date and Poppy's house gets broken into. Phantom goes into instant protective mode and will not let Poppy or Jax out of his sight. Hold on because the forced proximity these two are now in changes everything between them. I absolutely loved reading this one. It was emotional charged with Poppy dealing with loss and Phantom dealing with his ex and her evil ways. Can a single mom full of sunshine and a single dad full of grumpiness found happiness? What could possibly stand in their way? Chelle Bliss wrote an amazing second book to this series and I hope we get more.
I received an advance copy of this book. My review is not solicited and it is my opinion and my opinion only.
📚 Review ~ Phantom's Healing Hurricane Heat MC Book 2 🖋 Author ~ Chelle Bliss 🖋 Genre: Contemporary Romance, MC Romance, Series ⭐️ Rating: 5/5
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Phantom and Poppy 🏍️ Protector Biker ✂️ Single Mom in Danger 🏍️ Single Girl Dad ✂️ Found Family
Poppy ~ I wonder, after everything I’ve been through, if Phantom is the hero I never knew I needed, or if he’s the exact kind of danger I’ve been avoiding for all these years.
Poppy's main focus is taking care of her young son and keeping her thriving salon business thriving. So when a high-maintenance client walks out without paying, leaving her two kids behind, Poppy is left with no choice but to try and collect on the very high bill.
As President of the Hurricane Heat MC, Phantom doesn't have time for his ex's reckless behavior. Furious that she'd put his two daughters at risk, he storms into Poppy's salon to make things right. Completely caught off guard by her understanding, her concern for his kids, Phantom decides that this overworked mom could use a lot of his time, attention, healing.
Phantom's Healing is an awesome addition to the Hurricane Heat series. The slow build of attraction between Phantom and Poppy is as thick as the Florida humidity in summer. These two burn. While Poppy may feel conflicted, the Pres of the MC is steady and supportive, stacking the tension. The two of them together are like barreling down a dead-end street, edging to the point of forever. I can't wait for the crash!
WOW!!! This is the second book in the Hurricane Heat series and it was fantastic. The couple in the book are Phantom a single dad of 2 girls and the president of the Club and Poppy is a widow with a son and owns her own salon with her sister. One day a lady and her 2 daughers come into Poppy's shop for cuts and to get their hair coloured. We find out later is she is also Phantom's ex wife Shayla and tells the girls to leave with out paying the bill. The girls panic and call there day from Poppy's phone. He is there in no time. Fines out what happens and is so pissed. He sees Poppy and is taken with her. Her looks but also because she took care of his girls and didn't call the police. She is also taken with him and can't stop thinking about him. He has had enough of his ex and takes her to court to get full custody of the girls. Shayla isn't happy about it and involves a member of the club to help her get revenge. Won't say who because don't want to ruin it. Surprised the heck out of me. Phantom and Poppy go out of a family date and the kids get along so well. Because some of something that happens she and Jax move into Phantom's home to be safe. They are becoming a family and both are loving the new arrangement. They get their well deserved HEA. Thanks Chelle for another amazing story
Phantom & Poppy: triggers - drugs, addiction, vandalism, theft, child abandonment, custody battle, stalking, assault and animal cruelty. I honestly had high hopes for this book but it didn't quite give me what I needed. like many of CB's "MC romance" books, this one uses the MC aspect as more of a background prop to the story as opposed to other MC romance books I've read where the MC is another character within the story. so while there's drama and romance with the main characters, there's also drama and action going on with the MC due to some sort of conflict. with this book, you'll get a tiny bit of conflict and the MC makes appearances to deal with the drama... but it seems that they are only there to deal with Phantom and Poppy's drama and there's nothing that the club had to deal with separate from them. so that was disappointing. so who didn't I rate the book lower. honestly because I LOVED the family aspect of the story and how Phantom, despite being the club's President, always goes ten toes down for his daughters and upon meeting and then pursuing Poppy, the same went for her and Jackson. it's a really good book. I just expect more from my MC romance books. I still love my Chelle Bliss though.
