This book just makes me frustrated and I loathe Dante and I fucking hate Elizabeth, that crazy bi*ch! Gawd I wish Jasmine just had one moment where she was like fuck this and actually moved on but no as soon as she see’s Dante her brain just jumps out her head. From book 1 to 6 it’s just second hand embarrassment. She’s so stupid and naive and has no back bone. I’m just reading like when is she gonna have a back done??? When will she have her moment? It took Miss Lorraine to insert herself for him to realize??? The only parts I actually loved was Elizabeth pov because that bish was miserable and unhappy, unloved marriage ha I loved it so much. I love when she suffers omg .
Jasmine is still my girl though and I’ve become invested and low key(high key) happy we get a book 7 because I was sad to end this smh. Its a love and hate type thing.
Just please don’t impregnate Elizabeth that will break me because i’ll be damn if my girl have to play step mother to her kid. 6 books of her really suffering and still be nice to both of them?? Its not realistic and I need to know the race of this author. 12 yrs of friendzone?? Stop playing with her forreal
I just need her to have her moment because she takes everything this man gives her. Like what do you mean he fucked her in the storage, then we get elizabeth pov and he fucking her brains out and haven’t spoken to Jasmine in 3 weeks??? I just need her to have her moment because where is the self love?? Dante this Dante that Fu*k Dante!! Ugh I hate that you won’t give her that.
First Dante job is very disturbing. Now about him and Jazzy I really want them to have their HEA. Even though Jazzy is a wimp she should have been told Dante how she felt, ain’t know way I would have let Liz swoop in and take the love on my life. As for Liz, if jealous was person she is it. From the beginning she was jealous of Dante & Jazzy relationship and used her to get him. Now she has the nerves to make all these demands. Will that said, I still love the series just mad there is another book snd hopefully this is the last one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have read the full series so far at every opportunity made available. At work, cooking dinner, up late reading Jazzy and Santa and mad Liz love triangle. At first I (book 1) was not feeling the story but persevered and I am so glad I did, loved the emotions, the descriptions of the situations and you know Liz is going to turn bat shit crazy 🤪 In the next book. Looking forward to see how the story unfolds. Soooo Goood
One thing for sure about this author is that she’s going to leave you with a “cliff hanger” (Spoiler alert). If you haven’t read any of the previous books in this series yet, then do so before you get to Book 6. Also, if you enjoy gruesomeness and/revenge, then the first part of this particular book will feed your soul well. I should have stopped there after the rescue. But like a fool, I continued on for several hours going through the pain (so much of it), the foolishness and unbelievable nerves that some of these characters put me through. For last 5 books, I saw Jaz as being so naive and trusting the wrong folks. But my heart softened towards Jaz; especially when she hears news about Dante and Liz.
As for Dante, his guilt is overwhelming. He’s carrying some guilt that doesn’t belong to him as well as the guilt that does. And although he’s suppose to be this handsome, confident man, he sees himself as worthless and doesn’t deserve the happiness that’s being offered to him by Jaz.
Elizabeth a.k.a Liz a.k. Manipulator is unstable and basically crazy. She has this obsessive behavior that her love for Dante is really wanting to “own” him like some prize. Hater her!!!!
Thank goodness for Lorraine. She’s the momma that both Jaz and Dante need in their lives. She kicked some to knowledge to Dante, and basically told him to man up. At the end, we see Liz planning out her attack to keep her husband (probably an unplanned pregnancy). Or setting up to get rid of Jaz physically. I’m sure is just around the corner. I don’t know if the main characters can withstand what’s coming. I

And a glutton for pain and punishment! I thought this book was going to be the last in the series, but sadly it is not and I was hoping the author was going to land the plane home with a HEA. However, leaving this book on a cliffhanger with a jealous and extremely insecure wife who used to be Jasmine’s best friend is a recipe for disaster, which I hope Jasmine will be able escape danger from.
First, I'm upset because I accidentally purchased this series. But the author cannot be African American. The FMC is supposed to be in her 30s?? With the emotional maturity of a 15 yr old? She gets played by this fake friend, by the MMC, by every single guy she dates. She has NO street sense, no common sense... Just irritating. And the world building is corny and convoluted. Please read anything by Octavia Butler (RIP) and learn how to create either fantasy or sci-fi with vulnerable but not STUPID FmC - especially if she is supposed to be African-American. Smdh...
Olivia is extremely Unhinged, Delusional, Manipulative & Abusive.
Jasmine is weak minded… well just weak in general, her character annoys me greatly. No type of backbone, and just reckless and naive.
Silas is a user, who only saving grace is his conscious, but that doesn’t ignore the fact that he was willing to sacrifice put other in danger for his family. I feel that this wouldn’t be so much of a problem, esp. if its a bad guy taking the hit. Or the situation was right. But this wasn’t one of those and is a no go.
Dante, is dangerous. And a annoying as well. His confusing choices and annoying and teen like. He pushes off this confidence, bad ass, male lead. But he makes the most dumbest choice, and is frickle.
I’m addicted to you & you know that you’re toxic. Dang did Brittany get it right! This sone was made for Liz. The secondary characters in this book took the lead for sure. I häte Liz, she is a manipulative selfish psychopath. I can’t believe how much time Dante is spending on her. This whole story is about wasted time and supposed unrequited love. All in all, I can’t wait to get to the last book FINALLY and hope I get my HEA!
At this point just say u hate her just say u hate black women bc at this point the author has spent 6 books dragging this women mental and physical state for this 1 man is actually sick he spent several books picking that women over her over and over again and at what cost he married her in the end and even if they did or do end up together in the end he spent several years with this women picked her over u how will u ever forgive that
It takes a lot of searching but every once in a while I'll stumble across a gem in a box of coal; books that are a mishmash of confusing genres, poorly written and obvious that the author could not be bothered to spell check. Ones full of underdeveloped characters and mundane or obvious plot lines, making it difficult to get to chapter 3. THIS is NOT that. I was actually looking forward to reading each installment.
Each book has gotten progressively more interesting. Liz has blossomed into a true villain. There is one more book left. I hope I finish this series feeling satisfied.
Overall, the characters still suck. FMC is a glutton for punishment. MMC is a depressed but horny puppy. Liz is Voldemort. The plot is plotting 😂. This series has graduated from rabbit hole to roller coaster ride. Ready for the end but I don’t regret the ride.
Well, things take an interesting turn in this love triangle. Plus, we find out Dante should never get sloppy drunk, because—loose lips sink ships. Also, one of the ladies in his life isn't going down without a fight and is determined to use any means necessary to ensure victory. This story ends on a cliffhanger. Book 6 of 8. Recommended: Read This Series!
This girl is crazy. It is not that much love in the world to still be with this man. Desperate human being. She knew from jump, that he didn’t love her. I blame him though, all of this could have been handled. Jazz needs to move on, please.

Failure to communicate, inability or unwillingness to assert oneself when being manipulated and other immature actions are used by the author to perpel the storyline of these over thirty years of age protagonists, Dante and Jasmine. This installment of the series begins with Dante continuing his Grim-reaper type slater of the criminals who had held and beat Jasmine. Dante sends Silas/Gideon away with this warning, contact Jasmine again and I'll kill you and what members of your family that live. Dante takes Jasmine to her home gets her physical, mental and financial help and returns to Elizabeth and their toxic hollow relationship. When the Christmas holidays approach, Jasmine buys Dante and Elizabeth gifts and has Dante come get them. On the night that he comes for the gifts and after pressuring each other to diverge promised secrets, Jasmine tells Dante that she has romantically loved him for all 12 of the years she's known him and she detailed how painful it has was for her to be sidelined and his entering into a relationship with Elizabeth. He acknowledged that he had always been in love with Jasmine too but didn't think she could love him back because he was too flawed. He admonished her for not telling him before he married Elizabeth. Dante went home to Elizabeth being more distant, more easily agitated and aggressive, losing more weight due to loss of appetite and lack of sleep. Several months later, while at a park, Jasmine meets Aiden and agrees to a date at Curly Winds, a virtual sex club. While at the club she and Dante see each other and eventually talk and have sex for the first time on the floor of a utility closet. This installment ends several weeks after Dante and Jasmine have sex: A drunk stupefied Dante thinking he's talking to Jasmine but is being heard and egged on by Elizabeth , speaks of his undying love and desire to marry and grow old together and asks Jasmine to wait for him. Elizabeth is livid and records it and pretends to be Jasmine and is envious of how affectionate and loving he is when he makes love to who he thinks is Jasmine as compared to when he has sex with Elizabeth.
